It’s been a busy 2020 for Adam Copeland: The WWE Hall Of Famer, best known to millions around the globe as Edge, made a surprise return to the ring at the 2020 Royal Rumble, officially unretiring himself in the process. He then competed in (and won at) WrestleMania 36, and is currently gearing up for “The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever” this Sunday at WWE Backlash.

But Copeland is also gearing up for the release of Money Plane, a new feature film with the WWE Superstar in the starring role. Acting alongside Copeland are Kelsey Grammer of Frasier fame, Denise Richards of the puberty-defining Wild Things movie, and Thomas Jane from Boogie Nights and Deep Blue Sea, among countless others. Here’s the plot:

A professional thief with $40 million in debt and his family’s life on the line must commit one final heist – rob a futuristic airborne casino filled with the world’s most dangerous criminals.

But don’t take their word for it, watch the trailer, which among other things features Kelsey Grammer doing his best Scarface impression, yelling “BRING ME MY MONEY!” whilst carrying a machine gun:

Money Plane will be released in theaters, digital and VOD on July 10, and you can bet your ass we’ll be watching it ASAP.

If there was a more perfect timing for a video game release than Animal Crossing: New Horizons, we dare you to find it. The Nintendo Switch title hit just as the global pandemic forced lockdowns across America, and it instantly became a go-to escape for bored quarantiners from all walks of life.

Case in point, Danny Trejo loves the game so much, he’s now starring in a YouTube series called “Danny’s Diary” where he takes host Gary Whitta on a tour of his personalized island. Of course, Trejo has a reputation for being a tough-as-nails badass with a heart of gold, but that juxtaposition really comes out when you see an Animal Crossing version of the actor run around his own little Muscle Beach as butterflies burst out of his pocket. Trejo’s character even wakes up every morning and knocks back protein powder before going on adorable adventures.

But the real hook of the video is listening to Trejo’s constant chuckle as he visits the game’s colorful characters, manning his Anthony Bourdain-endorsed taco stand — Trejo’s words, not ours! — and fighting with wasps. You can tell the Machete star absolutely loves tooling around the game world; he’s hip to which animals are trying to scam him, and which ones are smart enough to stay away from his money.

NASCAR was, along with UFC, one of the first major American sports leagues to return to action amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, it is set to be the first to bring fans back to the events, albeit in a very limited capacity.

NASCAR announced on Tuesday that they would be inviting 1,000 service members from the Homestead-Miami area to the Dixie Vodka 400 on June 14 and 5,000 locals from the area around Talladega, Alabama to the Geico 500 at Talladega Superspeedway on June 21, along with a few reserved camper spots outside the track. They also offered some details on what precautions will be taken, including temperature checks and the requirement of facemasks to be worn.

NASCAR’s modified event procedures, protocols and number of attendees have been finalized with guidance from public health officials, medical experts and local, state and federal officials. All guests in attendance will be screened before entering, required to wear face coverings, mandated to social distance at 6 feet, and will not have access to the infield, among other revised operational protocols. NASCAR will continue to adapt and improve its procedures to ensure they are effective and can be scaled to support an increased number of fans in the future.

NASCAR’s massive outdoor grandstands make them uniquely prepared to introduce small numbers of fans while still maintaining distancing guidelines, but how strictly (and, just generally, how) they enforce those regulations will be worth watching. NASCAR has been pretty quiet about plans beyond the near future for some time, as they have made sure not to over-extend themselves, and as such we don’t know how races beyond June’s race at Talladega will be handled regarding fans in attendance.

A new trailer for the upcoming Bill And Ted Face The Music dropped earlier today. While it was a relatively brief look at the movie, eagle-eyed indie-rock fans noticed an easter egg: Arcade Fire’s Win Butler has a role in the movie.

The trailer starts with the titular duo appearing in front of a floating and futuristic council, and sure enough, Butler is there, wearing an outfit that wouldn’t exactly be a surprising on-stage wardrobe for him. He doesn’t have any lines in the trailer, as he just floats there stoically, but here’s hoping he gets to say a few words in the movie (and perhaps bust out his Robert De Niro impression).

Butler shared the clip he’s in on his Instagram Story and wrote, “Proud and humbled to be a member of the Future Council, formed on Day 1 after the defeat of former president ‘Basement Boy’ in November of 2020. Also, and this is a spoiler…it turns out in the future that spending money on education, universal healthcare and universal daycare is better than prisons and policing. There is an alternate universe where none of this happened and American re-elected ‘Basement Boy’ again… but that is more of a dystopia.”

Ludacris has been using his platform to publically speak out against police brutality and systematic racism in the wake of George Floyd’s murder in Minneapolis. The rapper recently sat down for an interview to discuss how he talks to his children about racism. But the conversation eventually veered towards other iconic rappers. Ludacris revealed his picks for the five rappers with the best flows of all time.

Sitting down with XXL‘s Hip-Hop Moments of Clarity podcast, Ludacris was asked to rank his favorite rappers in terms of their flow. Luda had a hard time naming just five, but he gave an explanation for each choice:

“So, top five flows, man. Andre 3000 is going to be in there. I feel like he always challenges, always challenges. I’ma put Kendrick Lamar in there as number two. I’ma put J. Cole in there as being, like…right now, I’m thinking of people that are versatile and constantly trying to think of different flows that don’t pretty much have a set flow that they always do. Those are three. I’ma go ’head and put Jay-Z in there, man. Jay-Z, you know, he does different things and he does experiment with different flows. And mostly, his different subject matter and how he’s able to weave through and be on a track with anybody. So that’s number four. Damn, man, number five. […] Damn, this is hard because it’s like you got Lil Wayne, you got Eminem, but I’ma have to go with Lil Wayne because the body of work and his consistency and he’s been in the game almost 30 years, bruh.”

The rapper went on to add Tupac and Notorious B.I.G as honorable mentions. But Luda wasn’t the only rapper to recently name their top five contenders. Last month, Drake shared his pick for the top five rappers, including B.I.G., Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Andre 3000, and OVO Hush.

Earlier Tuesday, footage circulated of Gunna and his crew dodging gunfire at a recent video shoot with Lil Keed. The clip shows a team of cameramen getting footage of Gunna in front of extras on an ATV when several shots were fired and the group abruptly dispersed. Fans showed concern on social media, but Young Thug aimed to put fans at ease by addressing the gunfire in a video.

Speaking to the clip on social media, Young Thug briefly explained the situation in a selfie video. “Anytime you see like shoot-outs and shootings or anything and we involved in it, no, we the ones that did it,” he said.

While Young Thug offered his explanation, fans aren’t as convinced. Both Gunna and Lil Keed are signed to Thugger’s YSL Records, so it wouldn’t make sense that he wanted to shoot his own crew. If the gunfire was planned, the camera crew wouldn’t have rushed away from the scene.

So far, neither Gunna nor Lil Keed has addressed the gunfire. But Gunna hopped on his Instagram stories yesterday to simply urge fans “don’t believe” the cap, though the rapper didn’t add any further clarification.
