Watch Harrowing Footage Of People At A Michigan Fair Coming Together To Stop A Carnival Ride From Tumbling Over

Trust in one’s fellow human is at a low ebb these days, and with good reason: We’re (hopefully!) on the other end of a once-in-a-century public health crisis, during which we learned a large swath of Americans refuse to take precautions to save themselves and others. But every now and then something happens to at least temporarily restore our faith in the species. One example: About a dozen people at a Midwest state fair came together to stop a carnival ride from tumbling over. And there’s harrowing video to prove it.

As per UpNorthLive, visitors to the 95th annual National Cherry Festival in Traverse City, Michigan put their own lives at risk to save others when a ride was sudden uprooted from its foundation and started tipping over. As roughly 10 riders held on for dear life, a group of fairgoers rushed over, grabbed the fencing around the base of the ride, and used their collective weight to keep it from falling down.

There were reportedly no injuries and by the morning the ride in question had been dismantled.

People selflessly putting their own lives at risk to save others — it’s an interesting concept! And it’s something to consider as one political party goes out of their way to demonize attempts to door-to-door vaccinations during a pandemic that’s still not over. Humanity: maybe not altogether a bad idea!

You can watch more footage in the video above.

Madison Cawthorn Got Torched For Claiming Biden’s Door-to-Door Vaccination Program Will Also Confiscate Guns And Bibles

Today’s conservatives don’t have to try too hard to outrage their base. A recent example: Madison Cawthorn, one of countless Republicans currently in Dallas for yet another CPAC conference, decided to demonize President Joe Biden’s plan for, essentially, door-to-door vaccinations. Everyone in his party is doing it, but Cawthorn went farther than most, digging up some old school paranoid fearmongering.

“The thing about the mechanisms they would have to build to be able to actually execute that massive of a thing — and then think about what those mechanisms could be used for,” the North Carolina representative told a television news interviewer. “They could then go door-to-door to take your guns. They could then go door-to-door to take your Bibles.”

Ignore that Republicans are furious that [checks notes] Democrats want to ensure that people in Red States are safe from a highly contagious disease that now has an even more transmissible variant. Disregard as well that the vast majority of COVID-19 infections and related deaths are happening in places with low vaccination rates. There simply wasn’t much logic to what Cawthorn — who isn’t even good at spreading voter fraud nonsense — had said.

For one thing, the government already has a service that goes door-to-door.

It was, however, a good reminder that Biden is way more religious than Trump.

Some just thought it was dumb.

And others pointed out that it was also dangerous for those tasked with going door-to-door, putting their lives at risk to save lives.

Tristan Thompson Went In On Lamar Odom In Khloe Kardashian’s Instagram Comments

No longer distracted by competing in the NBA Playoffs, Tristan Thompson took to Instagram on Friday to seemingly lay claim to Khloe Kardashian, punching back at Lamar Odom after Odom replied a little too assertively to a photo of Kardashian in a bathing suit.

The original post features Kardashian in the sun with a caption drenched in innuendo:

Then, Odom hit the comments to call Kardashian a “hottie,” which prompted Thompson to come in with the low blow. Thompson replied by saying “god brought you back the first time. play if you want different results” in a clear allusion to Odom’s near-death experience after a drug bender at a Nevada brothel last decade.

Thompson and Kardashian seemingly have rekindled their romance, and although Kardashian has maintained a positive public view of her former flame, Odom, they have not been together since Odom’s dangerous behavior post-retirement came to light. By effectively saying he would secure the fate that Odom escaped back then, Thompson is coming in mighty aggressive for an IG comment.

It’s anybody’s guess what’s going on behind the scenes with these three, but Thompson clearly wanted to puff his chest, and did so.

3,700-year-old Babylonian stone tablet gets translated, changes history

Dr. Daniel Mansfield and his team at the University of New South Wales in Australia have just made an incredible discovery. While studying a 3,700-year-old tablet from the ancient civilization of Babylon, they found evidence that the Babylonians were doing something astounding: trigonometry!

Most historians have credited the Greeks with creating the study of triangles’ sides and angles, but this tablet presents indisputable evidence that the Babylonians were using the technique 1,500 years before the Greeks ever were.

Mansfield and his team are, understandably, incredibly proud.

What they discovered is that the tablet is actually an ancient trigonometry table.

Mansfield said:

“The huge mystery, until now, was its purpose – why the ancient scribes carried out the complex task of generating and sorting the numbers on the tablet. Our research reveals that Plimpton 322 describes the shapes of right-angle triangles using a novel kind of trigonometry based on ratios, not angles and circles. It is a fascinating mathematical work that demonstrates undoubted genius.”

“The tablet not only contains the world’s oldest trigonometric table; it is also the only completely accurate trigonometric table, because of the very different Babylonian approach to arithmetic and geometry. This means it has great relevance for our modern world. Babylonian mathematics may have been out of fashion for more than 3,000 years, but it has possible practical applications in surveying, computer graphics and education. This is a rare example of the ancient world teaching us something new.”

The tablet predates Greek astronomer Hipparchus, who has long been regarded as the father of trigonometry. Mansfield’s colleague, Norman Widberger, added:

“Plimpton 322 predates Hipparchus by more than 1,000 years. It opens up new possibilities not just for modern mathematics research, but also for mathematics education. With Plimpton 322 we see a simpler, more accurate trigonometry that has clear advantages over our own.”

“A treasure trove of Babylonian tablets exists, but only a fraction of them have been studied yet. The mathematical world is only waking up to the fact that this ancient but very sophisticated mathematical culture has much to teach us.”

People were understandably excited by the news.

Some mathematicians actually think studying the Babylonians back then could help us improve the way we do trigonometry today.

Of course, there were the haters…

But all in all, Twitter users were pretty impressed with the Babylonians’ skills.

Congratulations to Dr. Mansfield and his team on their incredible discovery… and for making trigonometry exciting!

Dad writes heartbreaking message after the death of his son

A dad from Portland, Oregon, has taken to LinkedIn to write an emotional plea to parents after he learned that his son had died during a conference call at work. J.R. Storment, of Portland, Oregon, encouraged parents to spend less time at work and more time with their kids after his son’s death.

In an open letter on LinkedIn, which has so far garnered over 26,000 likes and 2,700 comments, Storment explains that his son, Wiley, passed away during his sleep as a result of complications from his mild epilepsy. He then goes on to blast himself for not spending enough time with his son, and encourages other parents to take more time off work.

via Facebook

Storment starts by explaining that the day his son passed away started like any other:

“Eight years ago, during the same month, I had twin boys and co-founded Cloudability. About three months ago Cloudability was acquired. About three weeks ago we lost one of our boys.”

“When I got the call I was sitting in a conference room with 12 people at our Portland office talking about PTO policies. Minutes earlier, I had admitted to the group that in the last 8 years I’d not taken more than a contiguous week off.”

That’s when Storment received a call from his distraught wife.

“My wife and I have an agreement that when one of us calls, the other answers. So when the phone rang I stood up and walked to the conference room door immediately.”

“I was still walking through the door when I answered with ‘Hey, what’s up?'”

“Her reply was icy and immediate: ‘J.R., Wiley is dead.'”

“‘What?’ I responded incredulously.”

“‘Wiley has died.’ she reiterated.”

“‘What?! No.’ I yelled out, ‘No!'”

“‘I’m so sorry, I have to call 911.'”

Storment goes on to explain the chaos that happened next.

“That was the entire conversation. The next thing I know I’m sprinting out the front door of the office with my car keys in hand, running ferociously across the street and muttering ‘oh F**k. oh F**k. oh F**k.’ Half way down the block I realize I don’t have the opener to my parking garage. Running back into the lobby, I all but shout “Someone drive me! Somebody drive me!” Thankfully, a helpful colleague did.”

Storment made it home, but not yet knowing the cause of death, police were treating the house as a possible crime scene. The heartbroken father was unable to see his son for two and a half hours.

“When the medical examiner finally finished his work, we were allowed in the room. An eerie calm came over me. I laid down next to him in the bed that he loved, held his hand and kept repeating, ‘What happened, buddy? What happened?'”

“We stayed next to him for maybe 30 minutes and stroked his hair before they returned with a gurney to take him away. I walked him out, holding his hand and his forehead through the body bag as he was wheeled down our driveway. Then all the cars drove away. The last one to leave was the black minivan with Wiley in it.”

via LinkedIn

Storment goes on to explain his son’s dreams and aspirations, and the difficulty he had signing his son’s death certificate.

“Wiley was obsessed with starting a business. One day it was a smoothie stand, the next it would be a gallery, then a VR headset company, then a ‘coder’, then a spaceship building company. In each of these scenarios he was the boss. His brother (and sometimes us) were invited to work for—not with— him and were each assigned jobs. In the gallery scenario, Wiley informed Oliver that he would be manning the cash register.”

“Around 5 years old, Wiley decided he was going to get married as an adult. By 6 he had identified the girl, holding her hand at recess on the first day of kindergarten. Over the next two years as we moved from Portland to London to Hawaii, he kept in touch with her by handwritten letter. Not long before we moved back to Portland, the two agreed (by letter) to marry. She beat him to the punch and asked him. He accepted. Happily, he got to see her twice after we moved back to Portland in June.”

“One of the countless difficult moments of this month was signing his death certificate. Seeing his name written on the top of it was hard. However, two fields further down the form crushed me. The first said: ‘Occupation: Never worked’ and the next: ‘Marital Status: Never married.’ He wanted so badly to do both of those things. I feel both fortunate and guilty to have had success in each.”

Storment then criticises himself for spending too much time at work. And while it sounds that Wiley got to live an amazing life, Storment only wishes he could have done more with him.

“Over the last three weeks I have come up with an endless stream of things I regret. They tend to fall into two categories: things I wish I had done differently and things I’m sad not to see him do. My wife is constantly reminding me of all the things he did do: Wiley went to 10 countries, drove a car on a farm road in Hawaii, hiked in Greece, snorkeled in Fiji, wore a suit to a fantastic British prep school every day for two years, got rescued from a shark on a jet ski, kissed multiple girls, got good enough at chess to beat me twice in a row, wrote short stories and drew comics obsessively.”

Storment hadn’t checked on the boys the morning of the tragedy because he had to get up early for meetings, a decision he seems to regret.

“Around 5:40am, the next morning I woke up for a series of back to back meetings. I did a Peloton ride, took an analyst call from my home office, one with a colleague on the drive to work, then the rest at the office. None seem that important now. I left that morning without saying goodbye or checking on the boys.”

via Facebook

Storment has a simple message for parents:

“Many have asked what they can do to help. Hug your kids. Don’t work too late. A lot of the things you are likely spending your time on you’ll regret once you no longer have the time. I’m guessing you have 1:1 meetings on the books with a lot of people you work with. Do you have them regularly scheduled with your kids? If there’s any lesson to take away from this, it’s to remind others (and myself) not to miss out on the things that matter.”

“The big question is how to return to work in a way that won’t leave me again with the regrets I have now. To be honest, I’ve considered not going back. But I believe in the words of Kahlil Gibran who said, ‘Work is love made visible.’ To me, that line is a testament to how much we gain, grow and offer through the work we do. But that work needs to have a balance that I have rarely lived. It’s a balance that lets us offer our gifts to the world but not at the cost of self and family.”

“While I sat writing this post, my living son, Oliver, came in to ask for screen time. Instead of saying the usual ‘no’, I stopped writing and asked if I could play with him. He was happily surprised by my answer and we connected in a way I would have formerly missed out on. Small things matter. One silver lining from this tragedy is the improving relationship I have with him.”

“Our family has gone from having two units of two (the parents and the twins) to now being a triangle of three. That’s a big adjustment for a family that has always been four. Oliver’s brilliant reply when we discussed the shape of our new family: ‘But Papa, the triangle is the strongest shape.’ By some sad and beautiful irony, Oliver has met three sets of 8-year-old twins in our new neighborhood since Wiley passed.”

“I’ve learned to stop waiting to do the things the kids ask for. When we sold the business I gave each of the boys a $100 dollar bill. They decided to pool their money to buy a tent for camping. But we didn’t make it happen before Wiley died. Another regret. So, after the first round of family visits after his death, I took Jessica and Oliver to REI to get gear and we left town quickly to camp near Mt. St. Helens.”

“Somehow, we got to the wilderness without enough cash to cover the campground fee and had a slight panic. Jessica then realized that Wiley’s $100 bill was still in his seat pocket. He got to spend his money on camping after all. Collectively, the family said a big, ‘Thanks, buddy’ out-loud to him. It was one of many bittersweet moments we will experience for the rest of our lives. Each happy time brings with it the sadness that he doesn’t get to experience it.”

“One of Wiley’s happy times was listening to music and dancing. Damn, could that kid dance. He loved the Oregon Country Fair and the year before we left for London, we listened to a band there play a version of ‘Enjoy yourself (It’s later than you think)‘. The words stuck with me that day three years ago and painfully so now:”

“You work and work for years and years, you’re always on the go

You never take a minute off, too busy makin’ dough

Someday, you say, you’ll have your fun, when you’re a millionaire

Imagine all the fun you’ll have in your old rockin’ chair

Enjoy yourself, it’s later than you think

Enjoy yourself, while you’re still in the pink

The years go by, as quickly as a wink

Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it’s later than you think”

Clever dad hilariously interrogates his daughter’s date through family’s doorbell app

Pedro Lugo of Malden, Massachusetts wasn’t able to meet the man taking his daughter out on a date because he had to work, but he did the next best thing. He caught him off guard by interrogating him through his doorbell app.

“I was ready for the conversation,” Pedro told WHDH. “I know he wasn’t but, I know I was.”

When his daughter Grace’s date, Jared, rang the doorbell, Pedro began toying with the young man. “I get to see your face, but you don’t get to see mine,” he said jokingly.

He then peppered Jared with questions about their plans which included a dinner and a movie. Pedro asked what time his daughter will be home and he said, “Probably before 11.”

“Oh, I heard 10:30. OK, that’s good,” Pedro responded.

“Make sure you treat her correctly because that is my first daughter,” Pedro told Jared.

“You don’t have to worry, sir,” Jared replied.

The video was originally posted to Instagram by Pedro’s son who shares the same name. “Here’s the video of my sister’s date picking her up and my dad answering the doorbell and just watching them ‘meet’ each other for the first time,” he captioned the video.

At the end of the doorbell video, Pedro can be heard telling his son to take down Jared’s license plate number. The younger Lugo said that Jared “loved every minute of it,” noting that his dad is a “big prankster.”

No word yet on whether Jared got Grace home before 10:30 pm or not. But rest assured, if he didn’t, he’d hear about it from her father.

High schooler mocked for wearing the same clothes every day surprised by football players

When Michael Todd started his freshman year at MLK prep school in Memphis, Tennessee two years ago, he only had one outfit to wear to school. High school kids can be incredibly cruel and Michael was mocked for three weeks for wearing the same clothes every day.

“I really don’t have clothes at home,” he told KTVI. “My mom can’t buy clothes for me because I’m growing too fast.”

Kristopher Graham, a football player at MLK Prep, thought the bullying had gone too far and wanted to do something to help. “When I saw people laugh at him and bully him, I felt like I needed to do something,” Kristopher said. He texted his friend Antwan Garrett asking for help.

The next day, Michael was taken out of third period and when he stepped out of the classroom he was approached by Kristopher and Antwan. He froze with nervousness when he saw the two football players stopped him by the lockers.

“I want to apologize to you for laughing at you and I want to give you something to make it up,” Kristopher told Michael. The football players handed Michael a gift, bags full of shirts, shorts, and shoes.

Michael couldn’t believe the football players’ kindness.

“I’ve been bullied my entire life.” But getting the gift was “awesome,” he said according to USA Today. “The best day of my entire life, basically.”

Video of the gift exchange went viral and has been seen millions of times. A few weeks later, the three teenagers were invited to appear on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” where they were greeted by Will Smith who gave them $10,000 each.

Antwan plans to use the money for trade school to become a diesel engine mechanic and Kristopher wants to invest his portion.

Antwan helped Michael because he understood what he was going through.

“We weren’t expecting the video to go viral. We just wanted to make a change,” Antwan said according to Commercial Appeal. “I know how it feel not to have nothin’. I don’t have much, but it made me feel better by seeing somebody else have. I haven’t had like the best of life. Everybody struggles.”

“My life has changed from sleeping in a house without no lights. With what is going on the outside affected me in school,” Antwan added. “I didn’t want to be in school. I wanted to help Michael and make him happy and it made me happy.”

The good deed was also commemorated by the Memphis City Council who honored the teens with a resolution and a round of applause.

Kristopher and Antwan are wonderful examples of what can happen when teens are taught that they have a responsibility to one another. While countless kids mocked Michael for something well beyond his control, they saw his plight as an opportunity to drastically change his life by taking action.

Just imagine if everyone saw others’ misfortune as an opportunity to help instead of judge.

San Diego Comic-Con 2021: All The Panels We Can’t Wait To Watch

While it might not be live, San Diego Comic-Con is back and jam-packed with dozens of panels featuring the cast and crew of all your favorite geeky shows. From Wednesday, July 21-Sunday, July 25, you can stream the entire event for free on Comic-Con’s YouTube Channel as well as catch tons of behind-the-scenes secrets and first looks at upcoming seasons. To help you navigate the five-day-long event and figure out which panels you simply cannot miss, here are some of the highlights from this year’s SDCC.

Netflix Geeked

If you watched Netflix’s first-ever Geek Week a month or so back, you’re probably very ready to hear more about everything shown. Lucky for us, SDCC will offer a closer look at several of the streaming service’s upcoming shows, such as Masters of the Universe: Revelation (July 23, 12 PM), Army of Thieves (July 25, 2 PM), the Fear Street Trilogy (July 23, 4 PM), The Last Mercenary (July 24, 3 PM), and Lucifer (July 24, 5 PM). Unfortunately, rather than keep all their shows in one block they’re a bit all over the place, but we’re excited nevertheless.

Animated Shows

If you’re a fan of adult animation, there is absolutely something for you at this year’s SDCC. On Friday, July 23, you can catch panels on Tuca and Bertie (11 AM), Adventure Time: Distant Lands (12 PM), and Rick and Morty (4 PM). On Saturday, July 24, a panel covering season 33 of The Simpsons and beyond that promises to “reveal the secrets of the Springfield Cinematic Universe” is taking place, prior to panels on Apple TV+’s Central Park (3 PM), Family Guy (4 PM), and American Dad (5 PM). Lastly, on Sunday, July 25, a Bob’s Burgers panel is taking place at 3 PM.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow

While DC and Marvel are largely abstaining from this year’s SDCC, we’ll at least get a bit of superhero-packed content with a panel all about DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Cast members Caity Lotz, Tala Ashe, Jes Macallan, Olivia Swann, Adam Tsekhman, Shayan Sobhian, Lisseth Chavez, Nick Zano, and Matt Ryan will all be in attendance, meaning regardless of who your fave is you’ll most likely be getting a few laughs and quotes from them. The panel starts Sunday, July 25 at noon PST and bonus: you can catch a brand new episode of Legends of Tomorrow later that night.

Doctor Who

While a Doctor Who panel featuring Thirteenth Doctor Jodie Whittaker, cast members John Bishop and Mandip Gill, and BBC showrunner Chris Chibnall is exciting enough, apparently a very special surprise guest is making an appearance. So, to all you Whovians out there, be sure to tune in Sunday, July 25 at 10 AM to catch who it is and what’s in store for the science-fiction staple.

The Walking Dead

Like The Walking Dead? If so, you have three hours of updates and panels to tide you over and get you hyped for everything coming to the zombie-filled franchise in the next few years. Saturday, July 24, you can catch Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick with the feature chief content officer of The Walking Dead universe, Scott M. Gimple, and various showrunners, executive producers, and cast members for a first look at season 7 of Fear of the Walking Dead. At 2 PM, Hardwick will lead a panel on The Walking Dead: The World Beyond‘s second season, followed by a good ol’ fashioned The Walking Dead panel all about the 24-episode final season coming this Fall.

Dexter
Dexter is back and we are welcoming it with open arms and a ton of excitement for this panel. On Sunday, July 25 at 1 PM, you can catch Dexter star Michael C Hall, new cast member Julia Jones, and producers Clyde Phillips, Scott Reynolds, and Marcos Siega in a panel all about the series comeback and newest season coming later this fall.

Star Trek: Prodigy & Star Trek: Lower Deck

Star Trek fan, rejoice — you’ve got a lot of

The Wheel of Time

While it’s technically part of a larger Amazon/IMDb panel with quite a few cool shows featured, we can’t help but be pretty excited for The Wheel of Time series in particular. During the panel, showrunner Rafe Judkins will be dishing out information on the Amazon Prime series, based on the books by Robert Jordan, coming later this year. If you’ve been looking for something to fill the Game of Thrones-shaped void in your life, this show could very well be it. Be sure to pop by the panel Friday, July 23 at 11 AM to catch it.

‘It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’ Fans Lost It When A Real Man Named Frank Reynolds Survived A Harrowing Accident On Just Beer And Water

If you’ve ever watched a movie to the end you may have seen the disclaimer often put in the credits about coincidences and familiarities between characters in the film and those who may also share a name with real life people. That disclaimer seems to have been created for situations like one that came up on Friday, when a news story about a Frank Reynolds caught the attention of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia fans.

The show’s patriarch, played by Danny DeVito, has a long history of insane exploits on one of the longest-running live action sitcoms in television history. And though he’s an entirely fictional lunatic, an actual Frank Reynolds had a harrowing incident from his real life go viral because it sounded like something Frank from Sunny would somehow pull off.

The Associated Press shared the story of a real-life Reynolds, a 53-year-old man who was trying to round up cattle in Wyoming and was pinned underneath an ATV.

“It was scary as hell is what it was,” Reynolds said Wednesday from a hospital room.

Family thought Reynolds had gone camping or was with friends, said Quentin Reynolds, the Campbell County undersheriff and Frank’s brother.

Later Monday, they began to worry. Eventually, they learned Frank Reynolds had planned to do some work on the property, where he was laying with a dislocated shoulder and broken ribs.

That kicked off a search for Reynolds, who tried to honk the ATV’s horn to attract someone’s attention until the vehicle’s battery wore down. With no help coming and no food, the rancher made it two days by using only what was in his cooler: beer and water.

He was able to ration a couple of bottles of water and Keystone Light beers from a cooler, Sheriff Scott Matheny said.

Searching on horseback, neighbor Don Hamm found Reynolds around 8 a.m. Tuesday. By that point, Reynolds recalled he was “pretty much out of it.”

“Everything on the left side pretty much hurt, from the top of my head to my toes,” he said.

It’s an incredible story, and one that shows serious perseverance in the face of life-threatening circumstances. And thankfully, Reynolds survived the ordeal. Which is probably why people on Twitter could see the news and make some comparisons to the Frank Reynolds from Sunny without feeling too bad about it.

There were a good number of rum ham jokes, too.

Many more were simply stunned his name was “Frank Reynolds” and repeating that alone made it trend on Twitter. But the lesson here is to always be careful riding ATVs on uneven terrain. And maybe, you know, keep a cooler full of beverages on you at all times, just in case.

Jon Hamm And John Slattery Are Getting The ‘Mad Men’ Back Together For The New ‘Fletch’ Movie

We’re probably not far enough removed from Mad Men‘s 2015 conclusion to have a real reunion just yet, but for Jon Hamm and John Slattery a Fletch reboot is apparently enough to get a few of the partners at SCDP on the same set again.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Slattery and Hamm will appear in a Fletch reboot of the Chevy Chase film series based on a book from Gregory McDonald. And while it would be fun to just have the two drink together and maybe eat some oysters and run up several flights of stairs merely for comedic effect, the movie Confess, Fletch based on the book of the same name certainly makes it an intriguing project.

Mad Men alum Slattery is reteaming with Hamm for the reboot that closely follows the plot of the classic Gregory McDonald mystery novel series that inspired the 1980’s Chevy Chase films. Hamm stars as I.M.Fletcher, the hotshot investigative reporter played by Chase in the 1985 neo-noir comedy of the same name.

McDonald’s 11 mystery books, the first of which was published in 1974, center on Fletcher as he juggles writing exposes while avoiding headaches caused by his two ex-wives. Greg Mottola, known for comedies like Superbad and Arrested Development, is directing, with Zev Borow penning the screenplay.

Anything with Hamm and Slattery appearing together is notable, but Hamm taking over as Fletch to begin with was a big deal. The chemistry the two have on screen is undeniable, and while they have plenty of credits to their name in the years since Mad Men wrapped, it’s still the project they’re best known for both individually and as a team.

And if you need more Mad Men in your life, here’s a recently-posted collection of insults from the show’s 96 episodes.

Have a good weekend, everyone.
