The NFL rolls on into Week 3 and hopefully none of your fantasy matchups thus far have been decided by everyone’s least favorite position: the kicker. There are few feelings worse in fantasy football than losing a tight game because the other team’s kicker goes off while yours either rarely touches the field or, even worse, has a couple misses that would’ve swung the game.
Kicker projections always feel like the ones sites are guessing the most on, taking into account how often a team is going to have scoring opportunities and trying to cobble together the likelihood that they’ll line up for three rather than getting it into the end zone (and how often). The good news is, after two weeks, we have a decent bit of data on what coaches are settling for field goals more often than others, and what kickers have a hot leg at the moment.
Here are this week’s top 20 fantasy kickers, using the average of four sites projections: ESPN, NFL, CBS, and FantasyPros.
