Taylor Swift Says Her Rerecorded ‘Red’ Album Will Debut ‘Earlier Than Expected’

Good news for Taylor Swift fans who have been waiting for her rerecord her old material to stream it: Swift’s new version of her Red album is actually coming sooner than originally expected.

The singer made the announcement via Twitter, telling her fans that the rerecorded Red album will debut a full week ahead of schedule. “Got some news that I think you’re gonna like,” she wrote. “My version of Red will be out a week earlier than scheduled (including the 4 disc vinyl) on November 12th! Can’t wait to celebrate the 13th with you and our new/old autumn heartbreak album.”

For those in need of a refresher, Swift decided to go ahead with rerecording her entire catalog after her former label Big Machine Records sold her masters. Swift previously released Fearless (Taylor’s Version) back in April, which earned some chart accolades at the time, and is making her way through her discography.

Taylor’s quest to rerecord her music has been met with praise by her fellow musicians. Her ex Joe Jonas called the move “really clever.” Dave Grohl even applauded Swift’s endeavor. He said he was “deeply impressed” with Swift and even tried to do the same with Foo Fighters’ 1995 self-titled album, but the rest of the band wasn’t into the idea.

Red (Taylor’s Version) is out 11/12 via Republic. Pre-order it here.
