Consensus Week 3 Fantasy Football Projection Quarterback Rankings

Two weeks into the NFL season means we are starting to get a feel for teams and what they look like, but still trying to sort out what’s legit and what is small sample size noise — although in a 17-game season, the sample is never particularly large.

Among those making adjustments are fantasy players and the sites that track weekly projections. This week, as we take a look at the Top 25 quarterbacks in our consensus projection rankings, we find the projections catching up to Kyler Murray’s wild production so far, placing him on top — also helped in part by facing a woeful Jaguars defense. Quarterbacks who are a threat to put up some points with their feet have also become a premium in fantasy, as having the ability to get yards and, in the red zone, touchdowns with their legs give them a little added boost over their pocket-bound counterparts. That’s noticeable in how the top 10 shakes out, as everyone besides Tom Brady in ninth is at least something of a threat with their legs — Daniel Jones coming in at 10 is particularly noteworthy as, while the Giants haven’t been great, he is piling up fantasy points to start the season passing and running.

Here is the complete top 25 for Week 3, based on projections from ESPN, NFL, CBS, and FantasyPros.

  1. Kyler Murray
  2. Lamar Jackson
  3. Patrick Mahomes
  4. Josh Allen
  5. Russell Wilson
  6. Jalen Hurts
  7. Dak Prescott
  8. Justin Herbert
  9. Tom Brady
  10. Daniel Jones
  11. Ryan Tannehill
  12. Aaron Rodgers
  13. Derek Carr
  14. Matthew Stafford
  15. Kirk Cousins
  16. Teddy Bridgewater
  17. Sam Darnold
  18. Baker Mayfield
  19. Ben Roethlisberger
  20. Matt Ryan
  21. Jared Goff
  22. Joe Burrow
  23. Jimmy Garoppolo
  24. Trevor Lawrence
  25. Justin Fields

Geraldo Rivera And Greg Gutfeld Absolutely Lost Their Sh*t On Each Other Over The Treatment Of Haitian Immigrants

While anecdotal evidence suggests that the average human loses both brain cells and part of their soul for every one hour of Fox News they watch, even we’d be remiss to deny that it can sometimes be entertaining. Not informative, mind you—just entertaining. Case in point: Geraldo Rivera and Greg Gutfeld going at each other during what could have been two totally civil, but separate, conversations involving Haitian immigrants and rampant crime.

While a full transcript of the argument would be too painful to make you read, what the argument boiled down to was this: all five of The Five were talking about the thousands of Haitian immigrants being allowed into the U.S. when Gutfeld began talking about how Joe Biden is “under control of the hard left, who are bent on remaking society” and complaining about the media. He then segued into a whole thing about “the media and the Democrats ignoring the rampant crime that started last summer all the way to the present time.” This is when a very fired-up Geraldo tried to interject, and Gutfeld responded with a very mature, “Stop, Geraldo! Let me finish! I let you talk for god knows how long…”

Fox News

This is not the face of a man who wants to have a civil conversation.

When Geraldo finally did get his chance to pipe up, he “had to rebut what Greg said about Haitian immigrants and crime. There’s absolutely no evidence. I defy you to find an incident…”

Then Gutfeld jumped back in, claiming that Geraldo had totally misinterpreted what he said. That his jump from talking about Haitian immigrants to rampant crime was just a hard U-turn of a segue, and that he didn’t mean to imply the two were related… Really?

When Gutfeld told Geraldo that “you’re embarrassing me,” Geraldo replied “Well, be embarrassed.” That’s when Gutfeld lost his sh*t:

“No, no, no, no, no! Let me respond to your lie! To your face! I was talking about how the media ignored a story about the crime issue. It wasn’t about Haiti. Jesus! Apologize!”

Later on in the show, they actually re-read the transcript of the argument so that Geraldo and Gutfeld could make up and be friends again. While Geraldo did end up apologizing to Gutfeld, he wasn’t about to let his co-hosts quick transition from talking about Haiti to a crime wave and rising homicide rates go unchecked:

“I apologize because I believe you are very clever… it’s a pleasure being on the program with you. My problem with what you said is the juxtaposition, even though you did not intend it, between violent crime—which is a separate topic and you made that clear in the point and that’s why I apologized—and the Haitian immigrants. They have enough problems. To be lumped into the same paragraph with urban crime I think does them a disservice.”

Oh my god—did we just agree with Geraldo on something?!

You can watch the full fight above.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Brought A Scooby Doo Meme To The House Floor, And It Completely Backfired On Her

Just in case it wasn’t clear that wackadoo Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has a severe case of terminally online brain, the Georgia representative had a Scooby Doo meme printed out and turned into a cardboard display, which she then hauled onto the floor of the House on Wednesday evening. Naturally, the meme was used to attack the Green New Deal that has been championed by progressives like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who is basically Greene’s mortal enemies. However, bringing a meme to the House floor is a new and sad low, even for Greene.

Via HuffPost:

“This is a simple meme that you would find on the internet but this meme is very real,” said Greene, pointing to a poster held up by an aide showing character Fred Jones unmasking a baddie who turns out to be the emblem of the Chinese Communist Party.

“The Green New Deal, surprise, serves China and China only,” added Greene, who’s become something of a celebrity on the right for her peddling of racist and anti-science conspiracy theories and her unswerving devotion to ex-President Donald Trump.

This latest stunt by Greene is getting dragged on social media where even members of her own party like, Representative Adam Kinzinger, can’t believe what they’re seeing. “Congress is no longer serious with people like this,” Kinzinger tweeted.

You can see more of the reactions to Greene invoking Scoob and the gang below:

The Most Anticipated Concert Tours Of Fall 2021

Once COVID-19 vaccines became widely available in early 2021, artists wasted no time plotting tours again. And after a largely concert-less 2020, it felt amazing to just have the option of seeing our favorite bands live onstage. Now that the year is drawing to a close, seeing bands announce tour dates feels almost normal again, with an added — and very important — caveat that fans should bring their vaccination cards if they want to attend. With fall fast approaching, we’ve rounded up 25 acts we’re excited to see live, and there are sure to be more announcements rolling out in the weeks to come.

100 Gecs

Hyperpop phenom 100 Gecs initially made waves on their 2019 debut album, 1,000 Gecs. Since then, 100 Gecs have dropped a remix album and fired off a few collaborations (including one with Charli XCX). Now, Dylan Brady and Laura Les are kicking it up a few more Gecs with the 10,000 Gecs North American tour, comprising 34 stops and kicking off in October in Oakland before coming to a close two months later in Brooklyn.

Check out 100 Gecs’ tour dates here.

Adrianne Lenker / Big Thief

Getty Image

Both Adrianne Lenker AND Big Thief are headed out on the road this fall, which shouldn’t get confusing at all! (I kid.) Let’s break it down: In November, Lenker will tour a series of dates, kicking off in Burlington, Vermont, and wrapping up in Minneapolis. It’s all likely in support of her 2020 album(s), Songs and Instrumentals. Meanwhile, the wider collective are going on tour in September for a month-long journey wrapping up in early October in Philadelphia. During that trek, they’ll no doubt play both previously released singles “Certainty,” “Sparrow,” and “Little Things,” not to mention more new music the indie-folk favorites cooked up during their time spent at Sam Evian’s Flying Cloud Studios in the Catskills.

Check out Adrianne Lenker’s tour dates here, and check out Big Thief’s tour dates here.

Ava Max (opening for Maroon 5)

Ava Max — an Uproxx cover star — turned some heads with her 2020 debut album Heaven & Hell, including those of some of her peers in the industry. She’s worked with people like Charlie Puth, Kane Brown, and Jason Derulo, but these days she can be found on the road with Maroon 5. The longtime pop-rock outfit have been touring steadily since mid-August, with Max joining up with them in Chicago, Hersey, PA, and Boston. Come October, her last date with Maroon 5 will be in Los Angeles at Banc Of California Stadium, with the guys concluding their tour later in the month in Concord, CA.

Check out Ava Max and Maroon 5’s tour dates here.

Beabadoobee

Getty Image

Uproxx cover star Beabadoobee only just put out her debut album, Fake It Flowers, last year, but already she’s released a follow-up EP, Our Extended Play, which was created in collaboration with the 1975’s Matty Healy and George Daniel. Now comes the victory lap, with a full North American tour featuring Blackstarkids, starting in November in Washington D.C. at the 9:30 Club and concluding in mid-December in Pittsburgh.

Check out Beabadoobee’s tour dates here.

Caroline Polachek

Getty Image

If memory serves, Caroline Polachek contracted COVID while on tour in Europe early last year, sharing updates to her Instagram Story about how she was doing health-wise. And it was particularly frightening because we knew so little about COVID at the time. Now, two years after releasing her debut solo album, 2019’s Pang, the former Chairlift singer is staging a comeback, complete with the single “Bunny Is A Rider” and the “Heart Is Unbreaking” tour, which kicked off in August at the Greek Theatre in LA. Moving through the US, the (Covid-safe!) tour will wrap just before Christmas in Santa Cruz.

Check out Caroline Polachek’s tour dates here.

Don Toliver w/ BIA

Getty Image

Houston’s Don Toliver has opened up for the biggest artists in the game — Travis Scott in 2019, and in 2022 he’ll be in the supporting slot for The Weeknd. In addition to showing up on a collaboration with Skrillex and Justin Bieber (“Don’t Go”) and prepping his forthcoming sophomore album L.O.A.D., the Don will be playing across the US on his Life Of A Don tour with BIA supporting, starting in Austin, Texas, and wrapping up at Day N Vegas and Rolling Loud California.

Check out Don Toliver and BIA’s tour dates here.

Fiery Furnaces

Eleanor and Matthew Friedberger have been making a low-key comeback for a couple of years now. Last year, the Chicago indie-rock torchbearers released “Down At The So And So On Somewhere,” their first new song in over a decade. Then came its B-side, “The Fortune Teller’s Revenge.” This fall, they’re hitting the road again with special guest Fred Armisen. “We’re very excited to be playing again, to get a chance to do new things with old stuff, or old things with new people,” the band said in a press release. “And we’re very happy to have Fred opening the shows.”

Check out the Fiery Furnaces’ tour dates here.

Fugees

Getty Image

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of their hugely influential 1996 album The Score, Fugees — aka Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, and Pras Michel — plan to reunite this fall for a brief set of reunion tour dates. The first of them is on September 22 at a yet-to-be-announced venue. After that, they’ll pick things back up in November and December for a handful of shows in the US, as well as dates in Nigeria and Ghana. The moment carries a great deal of significance for all involved. After all, the trio, each of whom went on to have extraordinary solo careers after The Score, have a fraught history with one another, to put it mildly.

Check out Fugees’ tour dates here.

Harry Styles

Getty Image

Harry Styles‘ Love On Tour was originally meant to run in 2020, which meant, of course, that it got postponed due to COVID. Since then, the former One Directioner hit the road in September with opener Jenny Lewis, with dates running through late November 2021. Lewis will accompany Styles on every date, with the exception of October 30 and 31, which will be Styles’ “Harryween” concerts at New York’s Madison Square Garden. (Orville Peck and Madison Cunningham will open those dates.)

Check out Harry Styles’ tour dates here.

Japanese Breakfast

Getty Image

Despite a pandemic, this has arguably been the most active year of Japanese Breakfast’s career. In addition to releasing a remarkable memoir, Crying In H Mart, Michelle Zauner also dropped her band’s critically beloved third album, Jubilee. Fall 2021 brings the indie-rock band’s victory lap, with Japanese Breakfast hitting the road in mid-September and touring across the US, wrapping up in Pomona, California on November 16.

Check out Japanese Breakfast’s tour dates here.

Jason Isbell

Getty Image

Alabama-born alt-country player Jason Isbell has been one of the most vocal supporters of COVID-safe concerts, therefore supporting him as he tours through the country with The 400 Unit is probably in everybody’s best interests. Isbell, who actively maintains an entertaining Twitter presence, was unfortunately not able to tour his band’s 2020 album, Reunions, so you can definitely expect to hear some cuts from that. Even better, don’t be surprised if Isbell churns out some covers from his forthcoming Georgia Blue charity album, featuring renditions of songs by Georgia Artists, such as R.E.M. and Gladys Knight.

Check out Jason Isbell’s tour dates here.

J. Cole w/ 21 Savage & Morray

Getty Image

Back in the spring, J. Cole released his sixth studio album, The Off-Season. Not only that, but he even did some remarkable album promo by even playing pro basketball in Africa. Now comes The Off-Season Tour, which is set to feature two of the album’s guest rappers, 21 Savage and Morray. Beginning in September, the tour will hit 17 cities, kicking off in Miami and concluding in October at LA’s The Forum.

Check out J. Cole’s tour dates here.

Kaytranada

Getty Image

Kaytranada had a great start to 2021, winning the Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Album (2019’s Bubba) and Best Dance Recording (for “10%” featuring Kali Uchis). Moving forward, the Canadian DJ/producer is hitting the road now through December, where he’ll wrap up with a show in Toronto.

Check out Kaytranada’s tour dates here.

Khruangbin

Texas trio Khruangbin expanded their psychedelic funk sound with their third LP Mordechai, but more recently, they released a 10-track effort called Mordechai Remixes featuring contributions from Kadhja Bonet, Ginger Root, Knxwledge, and more. In support, Khruangbin has been on tour since August, but the journey is nowhere near complete. They’re doing a series of dates through December, hitting Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre, Atlanta’s The Eastern, and New York City’s Radio City, among others.

Check out Khruangbin’s tour dates here.

Lil Baby w/ Lil Durk & Coi Leray

Getty Image

In June, Lil Baby and Lil Durk released their collaborative album, The Voice Of The Heroes. To celebrate, both Lils are hitting the road on their Back Outside Tour, which also has a supporting slot from NJ rapper Coi Leray and kicks off in September and runs through mid-October at West Palm Beach’s iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre.

Check out Lil Baby and Lil Durk’s tour dates here.

Machine Gun Kelly / KennyHoopla

Getty Image

Capping off a very Machine Gun Kelly summer is the rapper-turned-pop-punker’s 2021 fall tour, starting in mid-September and featuring singer/rapper KennyHoopla. I repeat, if you haven’t seen or heard enough from MGK this year, you’re likely in for a treat. I mean, it’s not every day that a rapper pivots to pop-punk, gets matching tattoos with Travis Barker, and starts a highly public relationship with the most beautiful woman on the planet. In addition to cuts from 2020’s Tickets To My Downfall, fans will no doubt get to hear new music from MGK’s forthcoming effort Born With Horns (release date TBD).

Check out Machine Gun Kelly and KennyHoopla’s tour dates here.

The New Pornographers

It’s been a meaningful few years for the Canadian indie-pop supergroup. Last year marked the 20th anniversary of their 2000 debut, Mass Romantic. Since they couldn’t celebrate properly (because, pandemic), The New Pornos have plotted out a fall tour where they’ll play Mass Romantic and Twin Cinema (celebrating its 16th anniversary) in their entirety. Joining them will be original band members Neko Case and Destroyer‘s Dan Bejar (!), plus AC Newman, Joe Seiders, John Collins, Todd Fancey, and Kathryn Calder.

Check out The New Pornographers’ tour dates here.

Omar Apollo

Getty Image

Last fall, Omar Apollo shared his long-awaited debut project, Apolonio. The Mexican-American singer-songwriter has been on the road since July for his Desvelado Tour, and he has a long way to go. He’ll be performing throughout the US all the way through mid-November, wrapping up at Boston’s Big Night Live.

Check out Omar Apollo’s tour dates here.

Phoebe Bridgers

Getty Image

Now through October, Phoebe Bridgers is touring the US in support of her critically adored 2020 album Punisher, which she mostly promoted last year via livestreams and other pandemic-safe events. Bridgers’ Reunion tour has a number of COVID safeguards in place: all previously indoor shows have been moved to outdoor venues (per an Instagram announcement), and entry will require proof of vaccine or a negative COVID test within 48 hours. In more exciting news, though, the Reunion Tour will feature special guests Muna, who recently signed to Bridgers’ Saddest Factory records and released “Silk Chiffon” with Bridgers.

Check out Phoebe Bridgers’ tour dates here.

Playboi Carti

Getty Image

It’s been a few years since Playboi Carti’s last tour. Last time the Atlanta rapper toured was his headlining jaunt in 2018 for Die Lit. Now, though, Carti is heading out to arenas on The Narcissist Tour, kicking off in mid-October in Nashville and concluding just before Christmas in Carti’s hometown. It’s all in support of his forthcoming new project of the same name, which the rapper revealed via Instagram, where he is pictured wearing a series of layered outfits.

Check out Playboi Carti’s tour dates here.

The Rolling Stones

Despite the unfortunate loss of Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts earlier this year, the band’s fall 2021 tour is still scheduled to go forward as planned. The beloved classic-rock act are set to hit the road in late September and wrap up in November in Austin, Texas. Still, before Watts’ passing, it was announced that longtime Rolling Stones associate Steve Jordan would be stepping in for the revered drummer, as Watts needed to rest and recover after a medical procedure. At the time, Jordan said, “It is an absolute honor and a privilege to be Charlie’s understudy.”

Check out the Rolling Stones’ tour dates here.

The Strokes

Getty Image

The Strokes had a banner 2020, despite it being a pandemic year. Not only did they release the Rick Rubin-produced The New Abnormal, they even won Best Rock Album at the 2021 Grammys. So it seems only fitting that they should do a victory lap now that it’s possible. In October, the band will hit III Points Festival in Miami, followed by Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta. Then, they’ll hit The Forum in Los Angeles and Outside Lands in San Francisco. Short and sweet.

Check out The Strokes’ tour dates here.

St. Vincent

Getty Image

In support of her latest album, Daddy’s Home (and perhaps also her just-released rockumentary/mockumentary The Nowhere Inn), St. Vincent (aka avant-pop powerhouse Annie Clark) heads out on the road this fall for a tour hitting all of the big venues: Radio City Music Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, and more. Running for a little over a month, the Daddy’s Home tour will wrap up on October 22 at Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta.

Check out St. Vincent’s tour dates here.

Tame Impala

Getty Image

Even though Tame Impala released an album, The Slow Rush, in 2020, the psychedelic rock figurehead (Kevin Parker) was, like everyone else, forced to postpone touring. Now, thanks to Parker’s patented “drug” Rushium, Tame Impala is hitting the road for the band’s official The Slow Rush 2021 North American tour, kicking off in September (they were originally supposed to play Bonnaroo, but that was canceled due to weather) and closing in November in Dallas, Texas. Press materials also noted that this tour is only “Phase I” of the “Rushiam trials,” suggesting that more tour dates could be announced in the near future.

Check out Tame Impala’s tour dates here.

Thundercat

Getty Image

Grammy-winning R&B bassist Thundercat has already played a few sets at various festivals this summer — Maha Music Fest in Omaha, Stern Grove Festival in San Francisco, Pitchfork Fest in Chicago — and in October, he’ll hit the road again. With support from Channel Tres (plus some surprise special guests), Thundercat will start out in Orlando at The Plaza Live on October 24 and wrap up at Boise’s Knitting Factory on December 5.

Brian Williams’ Zinger Following A Montage Of Deranged School-Board Meeting Speeches Had People Rolling

Parenting ain’t easy, and more to the point, putting up with other parents can be even more difficult. That’s especially been the case with the Delta variant taking over, and that’s turned already contentious school board meetings into ground central for the anti-mask-and-anti-vax crowd to vent their rage. This wasn’t the exact reason for a Texas Christian woman recently making a weird speech about never putting anything in her butt, but there’s no logical reason for that happening, either, so it’s just safe to say that there’s (collectively) a whole lot of crazy going on in school-board meetings.

On MSNBC’s The 11th Hour, Brian Williams played a montage of the wildest right-wingers who’ve taken over the school-board meeting discourse lately, and hoo boy. He capped the whole mess off with the now-notorious Matt Baker, a dreadlocked California right-winger from Ocean Beach, who took over a San Diego Board of Supervisors to shout about Nazis, accuse Fauci of being pure evil, and yell about how “your children and your children’s children will be subjugated.”

It’s a wonder that Matt Baker can even calm down and sleep at night, but Williams had a zinger for him that ran along the lines of Steve Martin’s “Ah yes, I remember my first beer.” Here’s Williams’ variant: “Perhaps you remember your first edible.”

Well, people were caught off guard by the deadpan remark, which caused some Twitter double-takes and laughter emoji aplenty.

Of course, one of the funnier aspects of the remark involves Williams misstating the effects of gummies. Matt Baker probably could actually use a gummy to wind down?

Williams had to have known what he was doing here. Well played.

Lizzo Leans Into The Funk Of BTS’ ‘Butter’ For Her ‘Live Lounge’ Cover

Lizzo recently showed love for BTS with an impromptu freestyle the other day, but now she has expressed her admiration in a more professional environment. BBC Radio 1 is in the midst of its “Live Lounge” Month, and as the latest guest, Lizzo performed a cover of BTS’ No. 1 hit “Butter.”

For her performance, Lizzo emphasized the funky elements of the song and put a delightfully engaging spin on the song.

Before the performance, she also offered praise for BTS and spoke about why she chose to cover “Butter,” saying, “I’m really a sucker for people who make positive music. I have dedicated my artistry to making positive music and BTS does just that. The word has fallen in love with them because they are so sweet and pure, and they’re good-hearted. I wanted to bring some more positivity into the world via their song. It’s a great song, too. It’s so funky. I hope we do it justice.”

Meanwhile, fans were also treated to an appearance from Sasha Flute, as Lizzo calls her instrument, as she busted it out while performing “Rumors.”

Howard Stern’s Listeners And Joe Rogan’s Fans Are Feuding On Social Media, And It’s Getting Very Ugly

“Go f*ck yourself.” That was Howard Stern’s message to Joe Rogan and all the other “idiots in this country” who refuse to get vaccinated.

“I heard Joe Rogan was saying, ‘What are you busting my balls [for]? I took horse de-wormer and a doctor gave it to me.’ Well, a doctor would also give you a vaccine, so why take horse-dewormer?” Stern said on his radio show. He continued, “We have no time for idiots in this country anymore. We don’t want you. We want you to all, either go the hospital, and stay home, die there with your COVID. Don’t take the cure, but don’t clog up our hospitals with your COVID when you finally get it. Stay home, don’t bother with science, it’s too late. Go f*ck yourself, we just don’t have time for you.”

Stern made those comments last week, but they’re making the rounds on social media today, causing a rift between his and Rogan’s fans. It’s an old media (radio) vs. new media (podcasts) divide — with fart jokes. “Howard Stern evolved into a compassionate adult human being who understands the responsibility of his platform. Joe Rogan still hasn’t gotten to Fartman, yet,” author John Pavlovitz tweeted, while another Twitter user wrote, “[Howard] clearly is envious of Rogan as Rogan is the hot radio guy now. Something Howard used to be. A long, long time ago.” Rogan might have the world’s most popular podcast, but most people seem to be taking the side of the guy who’s pro-getting vaccinated instead of pro-horse dewormer. As Stern put it, “f*ck their freedom.”

Meanwhile, the pro-Joe camp thinks Stern is jealous:

All Of The Major Network Late Night Hosts Banded Together Last Night To Highlight Climate Change

In what might be the most prominent recent example of successfully reaching across the aisle, all of the major TV network late night hosts put their ratings and network competitions aside to highlight the fact that climate change is about to kill us all.

On Wednesday night, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, Stephen Colbert, Trevor Noah, Samantha Bee, James Corden, and Jimmy Fallon put on a united front and dedicated their programs to the topic of climate change. But as The Hollywood Reporter wrote: “Despite the serious subject matter, this is late night—and as such, there were jokes.”

Indeed there were, and they started even earlier in the day. In a statement announcing the event, dubbed Climate Night, Kimmel flatly explained his reason for wanting to participate: “I don’t want to die.” The eco-conscious Fallon, meanwhile, asked that “In the interest of recycling, please use whatever Jimmy Kimmel said.”

Each show dedicated a portion, if not the bulk, of its program to discussing the importance of understanding climate change, and doing everything we can right now (or yesterday) to lessen the severity of its effects—unless, of course, you like the idea of regular 150° days as the new normal… in December.

Over on ABC, Kimmel reminded viewers that climate change is not a political issue, despite the most public of idiotic climate change deniers being members of the Republican party. Like the always-quotable Ted Cruz, who once moronically opined: “The problem with climate change is that there’s never been a day in the history of the world in which the climate is not changing.” He also welcomed Dr. Katharine Hayhoe, a professor of political science at Texas Tech University.

On NBC, Fallon kicked the night off with a visit from Dr. Jane Goodall, while Meyers’ “A Closer Look” segment talked about Bernie Sanders and the other progressive members of Congress who are working to get a $3.5 trillion spending plan approved that would address climate infrastructure and the increasing number of devastating wildfires, floods, and other catastrophic events.

On CBS, Colbert was “proud to dedicate one entire night of my show to the climate, so I can say I wasn’t part of the problem, I was 1/365th of the solution,” while Corden pulled in a major with a visit from Bill Gates (who likely prayed ahead of time that Jeffrey Epstein’s name would not be mentioned).

On TBS, Bee promised to do her part by powering the episode with her quads:

While over on Comedy Central, Noah welcomed teen dynamo Greta Thunberg as a guest, and also highlighted some of the lesser talked about effects of climate change—like decreased sex drives leading to smaller populations:

The unified event was planned as part of Climate Week NYC, which is happening right now. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the idea of bringing all of television’s late night hosts together belongs to Steve Bodow, The Daily Show’s former showrunner, who said that, “Late-night hosts reflect our national conversation even more than Russian Twitter bots set it—so this incredible group of shows coming together makes a statement about the scale and urgency of the world’s hottest problem.”

Foo Fighters Performed Alongside Giant Mascot Characters During A Private Corporate Concert

Dave Grohl has had a lot of fascinating experiences in his life, so many so that he’s chronicling them in a new memoir, The Storyteller. Unfortunately, a particularly peculiar incident isn’t going to make the book, because it just happened a couple days ago: Foo Fighters performed with a bunch of gigantic mascot characters on stage.

On September 21, San Francisco tech company Salesforce started its three-day Dreamforce conference, and Grohl and company played an 11-song set for those in attendance. All the while, the band was joined by three of the company’s mascots (as portrayed by people in gigantic costumes): Astro, Einstein, and Ruth.

During the show, Grohl both admired the characters’ enthusiasm while expressing concern for their well-being given the warm day. Between songs, he said, “I’m going to break it down, because I know you’re f*cking dying in that suit right now. Einstein, are you okay?” He late added, “Just when I thought life couldn’t get any f*cking weirder. You need to chill f*ck out, Einstein. You’re going too hard, brother.”

This performance is arguably almost as strange as the anxiety dreams Grohl recent said he has about playing concerts: “I’ve always had these live-performance anxiety dreams. They’re usually Nirvana-related. Like, Kurt’s still alive and we’re doing a show, and I’m so excited that people get to see this once again. And I walk onstage and my drumsticks are the size of telephone poles. And then the audience just kind of begins to scatter.”

Check out some footage of the concert below.

Fans Suggested A ‘Lady Marmalade’ Remake Including Normani And She Loved The Idea

When it comes to the music industry and social media, one of the best things about this new era is how it lets fans connect with artists. Normani is definitely a pop star who uses the platform in this way, frequently engaging with her fans on Twitter and keeping up with everything that’s being said on social media. So today when fans were spitballing about who should make up the new crew for a remake of the modern “Lady Marmalade” — which featured Lil Kim, Mya, Pink and Christina Aguilera — the former Fifth Harmony star was clearly on board when her name got mentioned.

Quote tweeting a fan’s suggestion of Normani, Ariana Grande, Dua Lip and Megan Thee Stallion, all Normani could write in response was a series of exclamation points. So, it’s safe to say she’s excited at the prospect. And honestly, thinking about these other women, it seems like they’d probably be interested, too. The fan who came up with this foursome should get a production credit if this ever does happen, I’m just saying.

And Normani and Megan Thee Stallion were recently hanging out together, plus Megan has mentioned before she’d love to work with Dua Lipa. Now we just need Ariana to carve out some time during her new stint on The Voice and this is a go.
