Over the past few years, The Weeknd and Post Malone have been two of the most dominant figures in music. In fact, The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” became the song with the most weeks ever spent in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart last year, beating the previous record holder, Malone’s “Circles.” Now, the two industry titans are getting ready to team up on what is sure to be a hit.
Yesterday, they both shared a brief teaser of a new song. Dre London, Malone’s manager, also shared the clip and offered more info, revealing the track is called “One Right Now.” He wrote on Instagram, “What I couldn’t wait to tell the [world] This Friday!! I’m excited for u to finally here what I been talking about!! @postmalone & @theweeknd ‘One Right Now’ #DreVision in full effect!! #Shutdown Ting!!! Crazy Movie Video comes next week!!!”
If the song ends up being a hit, it will be Malone’s first in a while, relatively speaking. His last top-10 single was the Ozzy Osbourne- and Travis Scott-featuring “Take What You Want,” which peaked at No. 8 in 2019. Before that, it was the chart-topping “Circles.” As for The Weeknd, his latest single, “Take My Breath,” was successful, achieving a peak at No. 6.
Greta Thunberg recently gave Trevor Noah the giggles while discussing self-congratulatory types who “always try to tell me that I should be impressed by them” because they take a bike to work. Although she’s previously been super serious while discussing her environmental activism, the expert Ted Cruz shader is certainly shaking her tone up, and that included her going off on world leaders while leading a rally outside of the U.N. climate summit in Glascow, Scotland. She accused them of “pretending” to care that humans are destroying planet Earth and causing catastrophic weather changes. As such, the 18 year old dropped an F-bomb. She’s pretty fed up, via Reuters:
“We say no more ‘blah blah blah,’ no more exploitation of people and nature and the planet… No more whatever the f*ck they’re doing inside there. We’re sick and tired of it and we’re gonna make the change whether they like it or not. They’ve been keep on going for too long, and we’re not gonna let them get away anymore. We are not.”
Reuters even placed a “STRONG WARNING” label on this video.
WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE – Teenage climate activist @GretaThunberg said that the politicians gathered at the #COP26 U.N. climate summit are ‘pretending’ to take people’s futures seriously and that the gathering of world leaders would not create change https://t.co/3xcaZwsei0pic.twitter.com/s62aWRapOU
At another moment, Thunberg led the crowd in a rendition of “She’ll Be Coming ‘Round the Mountain,” which she switched up to “You can shove your climate crisis up your a**.”
Them’s fighting words, but Greta can handle any backlash (the way that she handled Trump). The BBC notes that Thunberg arrived by train after departing from London with a cardboard sign that read, “Fridays for Future,” in honor of the youth movement that she inspired beginning in 2018. She hopes to bring action for true progress and to motivate world leaders to reduce fossil fuel use and carbon emissions, all of which are wreaking havoc on the environment.
It’s been more than eight months since federal investigators raided the Manhattan apartment of Rudy Giuliani, and they’re still reviewing the evidence that was collected. Which, when you consider that there were more than 2,200 documents contained within the electronic devices that were confiscated, makes sense. What seems slightly more baffling—at least as baffling as anything related to Rudycan be—is that the former Mayor of New York City and personal lawyer to Donald Trump seems to have concluded that there are a few items on those devices that he’d rather the authorities didn’t, and is now attempting to block the feds from accessing them.
As CNBC reports, a court filing that was made public on Tuesday showed that Rudy was maintaining that of the thousands of documents on those devices, there were three in particular—just three—that were protected by attorney-client privilege.
“I am reserving decision on those three items,” Barbara Jones, the “special master” whose job it is to review such claims, wrote in her filing—adding that, “The remaining 2,223 items have been released to the government.” According to CNBC, Jones had flagged some other documents as needing to be reviewed by Team Giuliani before passing those on and expected to hear back from his team by the end of this week.
The role is a kind of déjà vu for Jones, who was also named special master in the case against Michael Cohen. Her job is to essentially flag any items that might be considered privileged before passing them on for prosecutorial review.
“It’s a tedious but very important process that we’re all going through, and we are making every effort to adhere to Judge Jones’ timeline,” Arthur Aidala, Giuliani’s lawyer, told CNBC.
William Shatner took an 11-minute journey into space, the final frontier, aboard cartoon super-villain Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin’s rocket ship last month, but apparently the captain wasn’t the first choice.
During Tuesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, host Jimmmy Kimmel asked Tom Hanks, “Is it true that you were asked to go to space by Jeff Bezos before William Shatner?” The two-time Oscar winner replied, “Well, yeah, provided I pay.” Space isn’t cheap folks. “It costs like 28 million bucks or something like that. And I’m doing good, Jimmy — I’m doing good — but I ain’t paying 28 [million] bucks,” Hanks said. “You know what, we could simulate the experience of going to space right now.”
Hanks leaned back in his chair, stared at the ceiling, and started convulsing. “You do that for four minutes and then you get up” and float, he explained. Be sure to yell “whoa” a lot. After a few minutes of floating, it’s time to put your seatbelt back on and get ready for another four minutes of convulsing. “I don’t need to spend 28 million bucks to do that,” he joked. Besides, Hanks has already been to space. It’s not as fun the second time.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson is the king of bad takes. And while the world has heard quite enough of his thoughts about the events of January 6, as reaction to his propagandizing Patriot Purge docuseries indicates, he managed to whip out yet another doozy on Tuesday by expressing disbelief that Donald Trump hasn’t sent any of his hard-scammed money to the rioters involved in insurrection on the Capitol.
On yesterday’s episode of Tucker Today (yes, he has a daytime series as well, which streams on Fox Nation and where Carlson dresses more like a cowboy), as Mediaite reported, Carlson—knowing he was about to stir up some sh*t—offered a bizarre opinion on the responsibility Trump had to the people who rioted on January 6th. While interviewing extreme right-wing political commentator and journalist Julie Kelly, who Mediaite describes as “a key figure in spreading conspiracy theories about the 2020 election and Jan. 6,” the two discussed their disappointment in Trump’s lack of monetary appreciation for the crazed citizens who smashed windows and incited a riot that left five people dead on his behalf. Here’s how that conversation went:
Tucker Carlson: People are going to be offended that I asked this, but I can’t control myself: So, like, what about the president on whose behalf they were gathered that day? Like, has anybody sent them money? … Brad Parscale, all these people around him, are getting rich, right?
Julie Kelly: Right.
Carlson: Complaining that the last election was rigged, which is clearly was. Obviously.
Kelly: Yes.
Carlson: And they’re making all this money and all these people are sending this money down to Florida. But is any of that money going to defend these people who went to this rally on behalf of that candidate?
Kelly: Not that I know of. And I will say no. No. And it’s a question that I have been asking myself and I a lot of them have been asking too. A lot of them were there to support Trump. They were there to protest the election being taken from him unlawfully. But aside, really, from a few comments about political prisoners — he has said a few things about Ashli Babbitt — to my knowledge… no, there has not been any financial aide coming from anyone of a prominent position to help these people.
Carlson: I just find that appalling I really do. I really find that appalling.
Tucker says he “finds it appalling” that none of the money that was sent to Trump by supporters to fund election audits or to help J6 defendants ever actually went where it was intended. He is shocked Trump kept all the money. pic.twitter.com/ngfEyn4Sny
Amazingly, just one night before—on Tucker Carlson Tonight (which, ironically, is the Baywatch to Tucker Today‘s Baywatch Nights)—the host seemed to have a different opinion when discussing Lindsey Graham’s reaction to the Capitol being infiltrated by violent protestors. While his main point was to condemn Graham for suggesting that the Capitol police brandish their weapons, Carlson also made sure to point out that the “unarmed protestors… shouldn’t have been there. We’ve never defended that and never would.”
But paying them for their patriotism? Well, that seems to be a different story.
Britney Spears is starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel that is her conservatorship, and in recent times, she has used to platform to call out those who she says played a part in the situation. Her latest target is her mother Lynne, who Spears claims was actually the mastermind behind the conservatorship, not her father, as is widely believed.
In a now-deleted post (preserved by Pop Crave), Spears wrote, “My dad may have started the conservatorship 13 years ago .. but what people don’t know is is that my mom is the one who gave him the idea !!!! I will never get those years back …. she secretly ruined my life … and yes I will call her and Lou Taylor [Spears’ former business manager] out on it … so take your whole ‘I have NO IDEA what’s going on’ attitude and go f*ck yourself !!!! You know exactly what you did … my dad is not smart enough to ever think of a conservatorship ….. but tonight I will smile knowing I have a new life ahead of me !!!!”

The New Orleans Pelicans played the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night in a game that featured a whole bunch of prominent players, none of whom were Zion Williamson. The Pelicans’ standout forward is still sidelined as he works his way back from offseason foot surgery, and while the original line that came out of the organization was that he would be ready for the opener, we now sit 2-3 weeks away from whatever the latest update might be about his ability to play anytime soon.
In the midst of that, a video popped up on the internet of Williamson doing a pregame workout and looking like he has gotten bulkier as he’s been away from basketball. It was a cause for concern among the Inside the NBA crew, with Charles Barkley looking back on his experience as a player who needed to get his weight in a good place during his career.
“It looked like me and Shaq had a baby,” Barkley said, much to the big man’s delight.
Once the laughs stopped — well, from everyone other than Shaq — Barkley was more serious about how he thinks Williamson looks, leaning on his own struggles with being in shape during his career.
“I’m concerned,” Barkley said. “I am really concerned about … I tell this story, and I’m being critical, it is what it is.”
“Moses Malone,” Kenny Smith said.
“Moses Malone said to me, he said I was fat and lazy,” Barkley said. “And I started to cry a little bit.”
Barkley went on to call it “the turning point of my career” before turning his attention back to Williamson.
“He’s already hurt, you should not get hurt when you’re young,” Barkley said. “And he’s already had surgeries on his legs, now he’s got a broken foot, he gonna have to learn, even when you’re hurt, you’re gonna have to control your eating. When guys get hurt, Adam, and they come back, you’re trying to get in shape. And if you’re putting on that stress on your knees and your feet, you’re just gonna keep getting hurt.
“Somebody’s got to be a grown person down in that relationship and say, ‘Yo, man, you got to get in shape.’”
Referencing the amount of power that Williamson appears to have in the organization, Barkley said that fears of him leaving exist, but at the same time, he does not believe that the Pelicans will win anything with a perpetually-injured version of the young All-Star.
Smith chimed in that Williamson isn’t in “basketball shape,” and that he is skeptical that Williamson is anywhere near ready for a return.
Ruggs was sent to a hospital for serious, but non-life threatening injuries along with his girlfriend who was in the passenger seat of his car, and was later transferred to a Las Vegas jail and booked on charges of DUI resulting in death. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, but the initial police report indicated that Ruggs showed signs of impairment while at the scene following the tragic wreck in which his Corvette hit a Rav4 from behind.
The Raiders released a statement offering their thoughts and condolences to the family of the victim of the crash and that they were looking into the situation to gather information. Late Tuesday night, the team announced it had released the former first round pick.
The Las Vegas Raiders have released WR Henry Ruggs III.
It is a tragic situation that sees the loss of a woman’s life and a young player seemingly lose his career over something that should’ve been avoidable. If found guilty, Ruggs faces a minimum jail sentence of two years and up to 20 for a DUI resulting in death charge in the state of Nevada.
After making her fans wait a couple of years for her third body of work, Snoh Aalegra returned with Temporary Highs In The Violet Skies this past summer, and the singer did not disappoint. The project arrived complete with 14 songs and guest appearances from Tyler The Creator, Pharrell Williams, and James Fauntleroy. It also featured additional contributions from PJ Morton, Ant Clemons, Leon Thomas III, Terrace Martin, NO I.D., and more. Nearly four months after she released the album, Aalegra is ready to take Temporary Highs In The Violet Skies on tour.
Aalegra will hit the road starting on March 21, 2022, in Detroit and make several stops in major cities across the United States and Canada before bringing things to an end in Portland, Oregon on May 30, 2022. She made the announcement on her social media pages and confirmed that more dates would be added to the tour at a later date.
The announcement comes after Aalegra and Tyler The Creator teamed up in their video for “Neon Peach,” the third single off Temporary Highs In The Violet Skies.

Jay-Z’s has long only been on two social media services: Facebook and Twitter, and he doesn’t use them that often. He once, during the summer of 2015, gave Instagram a try, but he only lasted about 14 hours, according to the NY Daily News, deleting his account after sharing a picture with Michael Jackson. Now, more than six years later, Jay is back on Instagram.
He rejoined the social media platform under the account name @jayz, there to promote his upcoming film The Harder They Fall, which he executive produced. As of 10:55 EST, Jay raked up more than 513,000 followers on Instagram, which will surely increase as more people become aware of his presence on the app.
During the London premiere for The Harder They Fall last month, Jay spoke about his passion for the film. “I’m super excited for Jeymes [Samuel], who’s actually from London,” he said. “Just the idea of him releasing his major debut, because he’s done film work and he’s done music. But for him to be releasing in London, a place where he’s from, it has to be a dream for him. So I’m super proud of my brother.”
In addition to co-executive producing the film, Jay has provided two songs to the movie’s soundtrack. The first is “My Guns Go Bang” with Kid Cudi and the second is “King Kong Riddim” with Conway The Machine, Jadakiss, and British rapper Backroad Gee.
