Jimmy Kimmel Called Out ‘Sociopath’ Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Hypocrisy For Reporting Him To The Police

Move over, Ted Cruz and Mike Lindell, Jimmy Kimmel has found a new favorite target. On Tuesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host discussed a recent tweet by white nationalist event-speaker Marjorie Taylor Greene in which she accused Republican senators Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, and Mitt Romney of being “pro-pedophile” for voting to confirm Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. “Wow, where is Will Smith when you really need him?” he said. Taylor Greene was, ahem, triggered by the joke and snitched on the late-night host to the Capitol Police. Kimmel first replied to the Georgia congresswoman on Twitter (“Officer? I would like to report a joke”) before dedicating much of his monologue on Thursday to Taylor Greene’s dangerous nuttiness.

“Not only did she call the police, she called the same police she voted against giving a Congressional Gold Medal to for defending our Capitol against the insurrection she helped incite on January 6,” Kimmel said about Taylor Greene, who he dubbed “probably the worst woman in American politics.” He’s impressed by “how quickly you can go from, ‘These liberals, you can’t say anything anymore!’ to ‘What did you say? I’m calling the cops!’ It must be that cancel culture they’re always talking about.”

In response to Taylor Green’s follow-up tweet about “death threats” and “[hiding] your misogyny and your racism behind your ‘jokes’ on @ABC,” Kimmel said, “Not only don’t I condone death or any kind of threats against anyone, especially since I get dozens of them a week myself from the sickos who align with you, I also find it very rich that a person who did this in her campaign ad is suddenly whining about fantasies of violence.”

He continued:

“This woman, remember, she is the one who endorsed fringe conspiracy theories and repeatedly indicated support for executing prominent Democratic politicians. Now she’s dialing 911 because she got made fun of. She’s a snowflake and a sociopath at the same time — a ‘snowciopath.’ And nobody does anything. I feel like maybe other Republicans like having her around to make the rest of them seem normal.”

IDK And Kaytranada Mask Sharp Threats With Wavy Production On ‘Taco’

This summer will mark one year since DMV rapper IDK dropped off his sophomore album USee4Yourself. The 17-track project flaunted appearances from Young Thug, Offset, Westside Gunn, the late MF DOOM, Lucky Daye, T-Pain, and more. USee4Yourself, which was later extended thanks to nine additional songs, was the companion project to IDK’s 2019 debut Is He Real? One of IDK’s best qualities is his versatility and ability to lay down bars just as well as he can construct a soulful record. A perfect example of that comes on “Taco,” his new collaboration with Kaytranda.

The new track is steered by wavy production that Kaytra does so well, but the song’s beat simply masks the harsh and cut-throat threats that IDK delivers on it. Between dark street tales and IDK’s relentless insults towards the opposition, “Taco” presents quite the juxtaposition that makes the song all that more interesting.

While this is IDK’s first release of 2022, it stands as Kaytranada’s second of the year after he previously teamed up with Joyce Wrice for their “Iced Tea” collaboration. That song arrived after he ended 2021 with his 3-song EP, Intimidated.

Lil Baby Prepares For A Summer Takeover With A Pair Of Slick-Talking Tracks: ‘In A Minute’ And ‘Right On’

Lil Baby is certainly one of rap’s biggest artists and it’s something that he’s proven over the past couple of years. In 2020, he released his sophomore album My Turn which was heralded as rap’s album of the year, and the following year, he teamed up with Lil Durk for their joint album, Voice of The Heroes. Both of the aforementioned albums debuted at No. 1 on the album charts and Baby is aiming to extend that streak to three with his upcoming full-length effort. While there’s no timeline for when his next project will arrive, he arrives to give anticipation for it a boost with two new singles: “In A Minute” and “Right On.”

The two tracks mark Baby’s first official releases of the year and they’re both strong efforts. “In A Minute” is a more relaxed record that features a sample of Ellie Goulding’s “Don’t Say a Word” which was most famously used in Drake and Jay-Z’s “Pound Cake.” On the flip side, “Right On” is a bit more lively and vibrant as it presents a quicker tempo thanks to the song’s production. Despite their differences, Baby uses both records to speak confidently about himself and remind listeners about his status and talents ahead of his upcoming third album.

Lil Baby’s new songs arrive after he teased a summer takeover last month. “It’s Gone Be A Nastyyyyy Summer,” he wrote in one tweet. In another, he added, “Drop a video every few weeks until [exploding head emojis],” and it seems like that plan is officially in motion.

You can listen to “In A Minute” and “Right On” in the videos above.

Lara Logan Is Too Batsh*t For Even Fox News To Handle, But She Says They Just Don’t Like ‘Independent Thinkers’

Former 60 Minutes correspondent Lara Logan has been about as welcome a presence on Fox News over the past several months as Rudy Giuliani. Up until November 2021, Logan was a familiar face to audiences… until she made the unfortunate decision to compare Dr. Anthony Fauci to Josef Mengele—yes, the Nazi “Angel of Death,” who performed monstrous experiments during the Holocaust.

Fox viewers have yet to see the 51-year-old anchor reappear on their screens since. And while Fox has kept relatively mum on Logan’s future with the channel—or even to acknowledge that she is indeed a human being who does exist in this world—Logan has her own ideas about why Fox has shipped her off to news person Siberia.

As Mediaite reports, Logan resurfaced on Wednesday to chat with a conservative radio personality named Eric Metaxas. After gushing over how “wonderful” it was to see her face on Fox News each day, Metaxas got right to the matter at hand and asked the question on everyone’s mind: Has Logan been officially fired by Fox News, or did she make the decision to leave?

“No, I was definitely pushed out,” Logan said. “There is no doubt about that.” But rather than admit that her comments about Dr. Fauci may have been, well, a lot bit heinous, she seems to stand by her previous comments and placed the blame squarely on Fox News.

“They don’t want independent thinkers,” Logan said. “They don’t want people who follow the facts regardless of the politics.”

Believe it or not, there was a time—in the not too distant past, in fact—when was a pretty respected journalist. Yes, the same Logan who recently accused Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky of having ties to Satan and the occult. It’s a bizarre allegation, but not a particularly surprising thing to hear coming out of the mouth of a woman who blocked the Auschwitz Museum on Twitter after they denounced her comments about Dr. Fauci.

Foushee Dreams Of A World Without Restrictive Social Norms On The Rule-Breaking ‘Double Standard’

Thanks to a healthy hand from TikTok and other social media platforms, Foushee worked her way into the spotlight in 2021. Her rise tracks back to 2020 thanks to the release of “Deep End Freestyle,” which went viral on TikTok following a remix from Sleepy Hallow. Last year, Foushee went on to release her debut project Time Machine which was propelled by tracks like “Paper Plane” and “My Slime.” Since then, Foushee has worked with the likes of Vince Staples, Ayra Starr, Lil Wayne, Saba, and more. Less than a year after she dropped Time Machine, Foushee’s ready to roll out her next body of work.

It begins with “Double Standard.” Just like the rest of her catalog, the new single is quite the genre-bending record that see Foushee throwing up a middle finger to the societal norms that restrict her desired way of life. In a press release, she said the song addresses “outdated gender roles that I have experienced in past relationships and rebelling against them.” She adds, “The imbalance frustrates me. Don’t expect anything from me that you wouldn’t give me, including respect and loyalty. I match energy.”

Along with the new song, which is the first single from her upcoming project, Foushee also released quite an interesting visualizer for the song. It features her and Steve Lacy enjoying each other’s company and locking lips in the middle of a grassy field. “I wanted to feature Steve Lacy in the visualizer/artwork to mostly to stir up thought,” she said. “It’s kind of a bold move to make out with someone on artwork for the world to analyze, but that’s what the song represents. Breaking the rules.”

You can listen to “Double Standard” in the visual above and stay tuned for more from Foushee.

BIA And J.Cole Do Their Best ‘Top Boy’ Impressions On The Assertive ‘London’

Everything changed for BIA in 2020. The Massachusetts native spent years trying to work her way towards a spotlight moment and it finally arrived with the viral success of Whole Lotta Money. The song eventually led to the release of her For Certain EP which presented guest appearances from Lil Durk, Doe Boy, and 42 Dugg. Her success carried over into 2021 when Nicki Minaj delivered a remix to “Whole Lotta Money,” and that release led to the arrival of a deluxe reissue of For Certain with new guest features from G Herbo and Sevyn Streeter.

However, all of that is in the past now as BIA can only use her prior success as stepping stones to reach newer heights. An example of that comes with her latest song, “London.” The new track calls upon another rap superstar, this one being J. Cole. Together, the rappers dip their toes into British culture and even show off their best Top Boy impressions through their lengthy verses. “London” also comes with a matching visual that places the duo in the bustling England city as they shop at the mall, cruise on speedboats, and talk a slick game with their crew behind them.

The track arrives as J. Cole’s latest guest verse in what appears to be the second feature run of his career. He’s recently worked with Earthgang, YG, and Benny The Butcher. More recently, he gathered his Dreamville team to craft their D-Day: A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape with DJ Drama.

Chloe Seeks Much More Than The Bare Minimum On The Provocative ‘Treat Me’

In 2020, Chloe Bailey and her sister Halle stood out thanks to their incredible album Ungodly Hour. The project was the Chloe x Halle duo’s sophomore release, and by the end of the year, it was heralded as one of the year’s best R&B projects. In 2021, the Baileys took a page out of The Internet’s book and opted for some time to work on solo projects while stressing that they were not done as a duo. So far, that decision has resulted in incredible individual covers from Chloe and Hailey and the release of Chloe’s debut solo single, “Have Mercy.”

Now, in 2022, Chloe continues her journey as a solo act with “Treat Me.” It’s a record that she’s teased on TikTok and other social media platforms for quite a while now. “Treat Me” is carried by production that sports quite a bounce, which gives Chloe more than enough room to show off her dance moves and once again impress viewers. The track was also released with an accompanying music video that sees her being her most unapologetic self as she showcases her best attributes in a provocative message to her unnamed recipient.

Hopefully, “Treat Me” will grant Chloe the same collection of moments that “Have Mercy” did. After releasing the latter record, Chloe performed it at the MTV VMAs, the AMAs, and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Idris Elba Confirms That, Yes, He DID Sell Dave Chappelle Weed Before Hitting It Big With ‘The Wire’

Last May, Dave Chappelle sat down with Joe Rogan to spend several hours talking about everything and nothing, as guests of The Joe Rogan Experience tend to do. At one point, the topic turned to their early days as working comedians, and The Chappelle Show star revealed that back before The Wire made Idris Elba a household name—and long before he was being nominated for Emmys, BAFTAs, or Golden Globe Awards—the future MCU star used to sell him weed.

It’s been nearly a year since Chappelle first dropped that fun little nugget, and now Elba has finally responded—and confirmed that, yep, it’s all true. As Entertainment Weekly reported, Elba recently paid a visit to The Jess Cagle Show, where the London-born actor talked about his early struggles trying to make it as an actor. The way the Luther star tells it, his acting career “fell flat on its face very quickly for about four years” when he first moved to New York City. “I did a lot of things,” Elba said of how he made ends meet, “some things I’m not proud of.”

Cagle, likely knowing where the story was going, pressed for further details, and Elba supplied them:

“I used to sell weed. Can I say that on the show? I did that for a little bit just to, you know, help pay the way. I DJ’ed quite a bit. I was a doorman. I was a doorman at Carolines comedy club, which is fascinating now, when I meet the comedians that you kind of remember the English guy. Tall English guy with the funny accent and the little hair.”

And yes, Elba acknowledged that Chappelle was indeed one of those comedians. “David Chappelle remembers me ’cause he used to buy weed from me,” Elba confirmed. “Anyway, moving on. Yeah, I did all kinds of things to be honest, all kinds of things.”

Ultimately, Elba’s entrepreneurial spirit only serves as further proof that he was perfectly cast in the role of The Wire’s Stringer Bell, who never stopped raising the bar on his goals. After all, as String would say: “There’s games beyond the f***ing game.”
