Marjorie Taylor Greene is one of those elected lawmakers who doesn’t actually make laws. Perhaps that’s for the best. If she ever had time to make laws, who knows what they’d be like? But the Georgia representative is very busy. She heckles presidents. She heckles fellow congresspeople. She says women are inferior to men. And now she sometimes squeezed another performative act into her cramped schedule.
As per The Independent, Greene has reported Jimmy Kimmel to the Capitol Police over a Will Smith joke. The late-night host dragged her for accusing supporters of Supreme Court Justice nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson of being “pro-pedophile.” (It makes even less sense in context.) He then quipped, “Where is Will Smith when you really need him?”
It’s not the best joke, but it is a joke, and arguably not more offensive than the slightly edgy yuk that got Chris Rock smacked at the Oscars. (Perhaps you’ve heard.) But Greene decided to take it to extremes.
— Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (@RepMTG) April 6, 2022
“ABC, this threat of violence against me by Jimmy Kimmel has been filed with the Capitol Police,” she wrote on Twitter.
“Our office takes all threats of violence towards the Congresswoman very seriously,” a spokesperson for Greene told The Independent. “Last night, Jimmy Kimmel called for violence to be committed against Congresswoman Greene. It will not be tolerated.”
While much of regular life has returned to some kind of normalcy, COVID ain’t over. There’s yet another new variant out there, and the federal government sort of neglected to re-up on funding tests and vaccines, meaning the uninsured — and, really, everyone — is now in danger. There’s still some debate among scientists if a second booster is necessary, with the FDA recommending it for those over 50. But not everyone’s reluctant to get a fourth jab. Mr. T, already an outspoken cheerleader of vaccines, wants everyone to go back for more.
I just received my 2nd Moderna booster vaccine, and I feel good! I am still going to wear my mask and keep my distance because the virus ain’t over, Fool! Grrr
“I just received my 2nd Moderna booster vaccine, and I feel good!” tweeted the A-Team and Rocky alum. “I am still going to wear my mask and keep my distance because the virus ain’t over, Fool! Grrr”
It’s not clear who or what the unpunctuated “Grr” was meant to address, but perhaps it was meant to be open-ended. Surely he meant the virus, but maybe he also directed some of that ire to the “fools” who still won’t get vaxxed and are helping keep COVID strong.
Mr. T, who in the 1980s was simultaneously a TV star, a movie star, a wrestler, and a staple of children’s television, often using his over-the-top tough guy persona to tell kids to eat right and do the right thing, is a big fan of vaccines. Back in November, he spouted off about getting his first booster, and let everyone know he was still going to wear a mask and social distance, just to stay safe.
Even though I am fully vaccinated, I will still wear my mask and keep my distance, thank you. #SaturdayThoughts
“Why is ‘Mr. T’ trending?” As it turns out, for the best possible reason. ^_^ https://t.co/JDsJJgxzBG

Some felt this — a celebrity preaching about a public health issue — was the kind of communication the CDC needs, especially when you have celebrity skeptics like Joe Rogan and Aaron Rodgers.

One last thing. Maybe the government should do more PSAs like they used to in the 80s and 90s with celebrities like Mr. T. Clear messaging can sway people’s opinions. https://t.co/XPnW3cHfvb
French Montana concluded his 2021 year by releasing his fourth album They Got Amnesia. It stood as his first full-length release since 2019’s Montana which caused some controversy after he was accused of using fake streams to promote the album. This time with They Got Amnesia, things were a lot smoother, and months after the album’s release, French Montana is still in full promotion mode. Proof of that comes with his latest video for “Push Start.”
In his latest visual, which features appearances from Coi Leray and 42 Dugg who provide guest verses on the song, French Montana kicks things off by taking over a New York City subway with help from a cast of women. French lays his raps while the ladies twerk and have a blast behind him. Later on, French steps off the train to continue the party as Leray and 42 Dugg join him to rap their own verses.
For the last year and a half, Mike Lindell has had a single purpose: Burning through what may wind up being all his bedwear money on something that doesn’t exist. The MyPillow Guy recently confessed he’s blown about $35 million and counting on 2020 election lies, all for a guy who keeps blurting out that he lost. He’s already being sued by Smartmatic and Dominion Voting Systems. So what’s another going to do to him?
As per Insider, Lindell is being sued yet again, this time by Eric Coomer, a former Dominion employee he once called a “traitor to the United States.” To make things worse, Lindell was served with the lawsuit while at a mini-rally in Denver, where he had just given a speech about the very subject that keeps getting him sued. And there were cameras rolling.
As Mike Lindell walks away from his “election integrity” speech on the steps of the CO Capitol today, he gets served with Eric Coomer’s (Dominion Security) defamation lawsuit. “What is this?” “It’s for you.” From @Marshall9Newspic.twitter.com/F9Aq3qHdfl
In the video of the moment, Lindell is walking away from his speech, surrounded by well-wishers. One person in the crowd, wearing a bright yellow jacket and an “Iraq-Afghanistan Veteran” cap, hands the entrepreneur-conspiracy theorist a manilla envelope, which Lindell takes unthinkingly. He then catches himself, and yells back at him, “What is this?” “It’s for you,” the man says. He then tells Lindell they’re court documents, containing his latest lawsuit.
In the complaint, Coomer alleges that Lindell “irreparably tarnished” his reputation and had made “numerous false statements, defamatory interviews, and other dishonest content” about his character. Coomer was among the figures Lindell brought up during his chaotic “cyber symposium” last August, and he’s come up numerous times on his platform Frank Speech. He also alleges that he’s received “frequent credible death threats” thanks to Lindell’s claims. Coomer has also sued the Trump campaign and his allies.
Lindell didn’t seem worried by receiving another defamation lawsuit. He instead said Coomer and those like him are trying to “cancel” his voice.
Max Payne, the neo-noir third-person shooter from Remedy Entertainment and Rockstar Games is one of the most iconic franchises in all of gaming. One of the first games to really take the bullet time mechanic and do it well, Max Payne was a massive hit in the early 2000s thanks to its fun combat system and dark storytelling. The game did so well that it would go on to have two sequels and even get a movie starring Mark Wahlberg.
After 10 years, it felt like May Payne was a franchise that time was going to move on from until former developers on the game from Remedy Entertainment suddenly announced that a remake for the first two games was in the work. This news went over so well that it crashed their website.
We are pleased to announce that we will remake the iconic Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne, in a new development agreement with Rockstar Games.
The press release gave us more info on the upcoming remakes, such as it being a next-gen exclusive, and that while it’s being developed by Remedy Entertainment it will be once again published by Rockstar Games.
Remedy Entertainment, the creators of Max Payne, are pleased to announce that they will remake the iconic Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne video games in a new development agreement with Rockstar Games.
The relationship between Remedy and Rockstar Games dates back to the original release of the critically acclaimed Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne games, developed by Remedy and published by Rockstar Games. Both games left an indelible mark in popular culture, lauded for their neo-noir atmosphere, groundbreaking storytelling and “bullet-time” gunplay.
This is really awesome news for fans of action games. A lot of what we enjoy about current third-person shooters can be credited to the innovations of the original Max Payne. Getting a chance to re-experience the franchise on next-gen hardware is an exciting possibility.
We’re about two weeks removed from Joyner Lucas’ Twitter rant where he dissed Lollapalooza and Machine Gun Kelly and later claimed that Russian hackers were to blame for the posts. Most people took Lucas’ claim as nothing more than a joke (which he later admitted through an apology). With that being said, there was actually a recent hacking in the music community and this one was no joke. According to HipHopDX, YouTube channels that belong to big-name acts like Eminem, Drake, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, and more were hacked recently. On Tuesday, fans noticed that odd videos were being posted on the accounts and they took to social media to share their findings.
Here are my notifications of the spam video on the official youtube channel of Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, and Harry Styles, and I know there are a lot more accounts that got hacked. That’s crazy, how someone can destroy your several year’s hard work within a minute!@YouTubepic.twitter.com/W7FIhwH9jY
The videos have been removed from the artists’ accounts, but the unauthorized uploads had titles like “Free Paco Sanz (ft. Will Smith, Chris Rock, Skinny flex & Los Pelaos).” Paco Sanz is a Spanish swindler who was convicted of fraud a few months ago after he scammed numerous people after making them think he had a terminal sickness. As a result, Sanz, who most likely had nothing to do with the hacking, is set to spend the rest of his life in prison. Other artists like Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Harry Styles, The Weeknd, Lil Nas X, and the late Michael Jackson also saw their YouTube accounts hacked with similar videos.
While YouTube has not spoken out about the matter yet, music video partner VEVO released a statement to address the incident. “Some videos were directly uploaded to a small number of Vevo artist channels earlier today by an unauthorized source,” they said to the New York Post. “All of those improperly uploaded videos have since been deleted by Vevo. No pre-existing content was accessible to the source. While the artist channels have been secured and the incident has been resolved, as a best practice Vevo will be conducting a review of our security systems.”
You can see some screenshots and videos of the hacked accounts above.
Despite getting the King’s blessing on a recent episode of The Shop, Steph Curry doesn’t seem to have any interest in teaming up with LeBron James any time soon. James was asked which basketball player he’d most like to suit up alongside, and after repeating that his son, Bronny James, is atop the list, the Los Angeles Lakers star picked out his fellow native of Akron, Ohio.
“I love everything about that guy,” LeBron said. “When he gets out of his car, you better guard him — right from the moment he pulls up to the arena, soon as he get out his car, you better guard his ass. You might wanna guard him when he gets out of the bed, swear to God. He’s serious.”
It’s very high praise for James, but after being made aware of the comments, Curry doesn’t seem to be in a rush to team up with him, based on comments he made on 95.7 The Game.
“Well, [LeBron] got his wish. He’s picked me the last 2 All-Star Games. I don’t know if that suffices, but I’m good right now. I’m good right now.”
Steph Curry on LeBron James saying he wants to play with him
“Well, he got his wish,” Curry said. “He was the captain, he’s picked me the last two All-Star Games. So, I don’t know if that suffices, but I’m good right now.”
Curry did go on to say that it’s cool to hear James say this, but ultimately, “we all can live in that fantasy world, though.”
Welcome to SNX DLX, your weekly roundup of the best sneakers to hit the internet. This week, rather than getting a bunch of new designs we’re getting a handful of re-stocks of long-sought-after colorways, from Zebra-stripped Yeezys to the return of the Mocha Toe Question. While we’re always looking for the latest and greatest shoes, we’ll take a good colorway restock any day of the week — these are somebody’s all-time-favorite sneakers we’re talking about here!
As for the silhouettes themselves, we’ve got some of the usual suspects (Dunks and Jordans, what a surprise) as well as some newcomers like the Adidas’ Tour 360 silhouette (which we’ve never covered) and Virgil Abloh’s first posthumous Off-White Nike drop. Let’s dive into this week’s nine best sneaker drops.
Nike WMNS Dunk High FLS
Nike has been rolling out a lot of new women’s sized Dunk colorways this year but this week’s FLS colorway is one of the best. Featuring a white tumbled leather upper with light grey leather matte overlays, a swoosh-shaped lace jewel, and a metallic teal wraparound swoosh.
Nike says that the design is “influenced by the confluence of digital and physical worlds,” okay, sure Nike, whatever you say. Just looks like a regular high-top Dunk to us in a dope colorway. You don’t really need to do more than that.
The Women’s Dunk High FLS is out now for a retail price of $120. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app.
Yeezy QNTM Mono Carbon
Fans of Yeezy’s rock-formation-as-footwear silhouette, QNTM, are being treated to a brand new colorway of the sneaker. Like most QNTMs, the colorway keeps things low-key with a simple monochromatic gray upper with suede toe box paneling atop a milky white midsole.
It’s a fitting colorway for this particular silhouette, and while we like the recent changes the brand has been making to its general color palette, we’re happy to see the brand sticking to its minimalist aesthetic for this one.
The Yeezy QNTM Mono Carbon is set to drop on April 7th for a retail price of $260. Pick up a pair via the Adidas Confirmed App or Yeezy Supply.
Adidas Tour360 22 x Waffle House Limited-Edition Golf Shoes
Adidas collaborating with mid-western and southern breakfast chain restaurant Waffle House isn’t on our top list of collaborators for the three stripes brand, but these are actually pretty damn dope.
If you’re unaware of the golf world, Georgia is a pretty big fixture on the scene as it’s the location of The Masters — which begins this month and signals the start of the golf season. To celebrate the state that is home to the Masters, Adidas tapped a familiar Georgia icon to serve as the inspiration for a new Tour 360 ’22 colorway.
The sneaker features a batter-inspired colorway across a premium full-grain leather upper, a waffle-pattern three-stripe, and a translucent outsole with maple syrup-inspired graphics underneath a SPIKEMORE traction system. Rounding out the design is Waffle House branding at the heel in the chain’s familiar typography.
The Adidas Tour360 22 x Waffle House Limited-Edition Golf Shoes are set to drop on April 7th for a retail price of $210. Pick up a pair via the Adidas Confirmed App.
Nike WMNS Dunk High Vintage Black
What did we say about Nike and the dope women’s-sized Dunk drops? We’re getting a constant out-flow, you love to see it. This vintage-inspired pair is less flashy than the FLS, but it’s that classic black and white leather look.
Uninspired? Sure, but disliking a black and white Dunk High is akin to hating a white Stan Smith with a green heel tab, if you don’t like these things it’s safe to say you just have bad taste.
The Nike Dunk High Vintage Black is set to drop on April 7th for a retail price of $125. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app.
Reebok Question Mid Mocha Toe
This must be the week of re-stocks because we’re getting a bunch of great colorways from the past, including the Mocha Toe Reebok Question. Featuring a premium leather upper with nubuck overlays and a crystal gum outsole, the Mocha Toe updates the design by putting the colorway on the mid-rise version of the sneaker, rather than the low-profile of the OG.
I know the Mocha Toe has long been a favorite amongst Question fans but I have to say… it looks better to my eyes on the mid-top than the low.
The Reebok Question Mid Mocha Toe is set to drop on April 8th for a retail price of $160. Pick up a pair via the Reebok webstore.
Air Jordan 5 Jade Horizon
’
One of my favorite buildings in all of Los Angeles is the Eastern Columbia building. it’s built in the Art Deco style and features a facade of oxidized copper… it’s dope. If for some reason that building was turned into a shoe, it would be Nike’s new Air Jordan 5 Jade, which manages to perfectly capture that oxidized copper look on one of Nike’s finest monuments.
So consider me sold! The Jordan Horizon applies an aged look to the TPU cage and features a black midsole with a cement white shark tooth and a beautiful jade leather upper.
The Air Jordan 5 Jade is set to drop on April 9th for a retail price of $200. Pick up a pair via the Nike SNKRS app.
Adidas Dill Samba
This week Adidas is finally re-stocking Jason Dill’s signature samba in its original black and white colorway. No that’s not a Superstar you’re looking at, those are Sambas and while the shoe isn’t generally associated with this simple and classic colorway, we have to wonder, maybe it should be?
It just looks so damn clean with its full-grain leather upper and its lightened translucent ice sole. It’s a winner and one of Adidas’ strongest signature skate sneakers to date, even if it originally dropped three years ago.
The Adidas Dill Samba is set to drop on April 9th for a retail price of $85. Pick up a pair via the Adidas webstore.
Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Zebra
It’s a little hard to be excited about another re-stock of the white and black Yeezy 350 colorway, Zebra, but we get that this is some Yeezy fan out there’s favorite shoe, so we can’t close out this week without mentioning the restock.
The white base with black stripes (or is it the other way around) over a Primeknit upper with a milky translucent outsole is a classic Yeezy Brand look. It seems like colorways like this have
The Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Zebra is set to drop on April 7th for a retail price of $220. Pick up a pair via the Adidas CONFIRMED app or Yeezy Supply.
Off-White Nike Blazer Low White and University Red/Black and Electro Green
It’s a bitter-sweet announcement, but this week brings Nike’s first Off-White release since Virgil Abloh’s untimely death, the Off-White Blazer Low. True to Abloh’s form, the Off-White Blazer Low transforms one of Nike’s most popular and vintage-leaning silhouettes into something hyper-modern.
The design features several changes to the traditional Blazer silhouette including an accented over lace, a swoosh tab, the same translucent punched windows from Off-White Jordan 6, and the most radical departure, a jutting TPU heel inspired by Nike’s Air Terra Humara.
It hardly looks like a Blazer anymore, and while this quite frankly pales in comparison to the actual Blazer silhouette, which is as untouchable as the Jordan 1, it’s truly sad that we don’t have Abloh to push the envelope in the daring and unique way that he was always apt to do.
The sneaker drops in two colorways, White and University Red, or Black and Electron Green.
Nearly 29 years ago to the day, Kurt Cobain committed suicide, rattling the music world and bringing his band Nirvana to an end. Cobain’s legacy has undoubtedly stood the test of time, as Nirvana continues to influence artists in many mediums and the band’s final album, Nevermind, has gone on to sell over 30 million copies. But the tragic way in which Cobain’s life ended, left an indelible mark on the effects of celebrity, drugs, and society. Now London’s Royal Opera House will be presenting a new opera, entitled Last Days, which depicts Cobain’s descent in a manner that is unique to the drama of an opera.
Based on Gus Van Sant’s 2005 film of the same name (which itself is loosely based on Cobain’s death), Last Days is set to begin as part of the Royal Opera House’s 2022-2023 season in October at the Linbury Theatre. The opera has been composed by composer-in-residence Oliver Leith, who tells The Guardian that he is a “massive” Nirvana fan. “I owe a lot of how I now make music to the sound of grunge from that time – I had never really thought about where my experimental mess and repetitions had come from,” he says, adding that the opera is ultimately about the “inevitable death of a celebrity. It could be any star now.”
A statement from the Royal Opera House captured by The Guardian adds that Last Days “…plunges into the torment that created a modern myth” And that the main character “…is haunted by objects, visitors and memories distracting him from his true purpose – self-destruction.”

Today’s first-term Republican lawmakers tend to all have the same schtick: die-hard Trumpists who do little but annoy all their colleagues. The day after Matt Gaetz acted like a total jackass again, Marjorie Taylor Greene stole his thunder, breaking House protocol by doing to a Democrat colleague what she did to Joe Biden: She heckled him. But unlike Biden, the latest target of her idiocy didn’t stay quiet.
On Wednesday, Maryland Representative Jamie Raskin told fellow House members that former top Trump officials Peter Navarro and Dan Scavino, who’d been ignoring subpoenas from the Jan. 6 committee.
Scavino repeatedly asked for subpoena extensions, then failed to show up. Navarro wanted to provide only written answers to the committee to avoid questioning under oath. These men weren’t negotiating with @January6thCmte, they were flaunting the law and our people with contempt. pic.twitter.com/0pd6kql9Qv
Greene, who helped lure Trump supporters to D.C. that day and later said she had no regrets about the events, did not like that one bit. So she did what she does best: She shouted nonsense, screaming about Ashli Babbit, the Trump follower tragically killed during the melee, and “Russia collusion.”
House Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene heckles Jan. 6 committee member Jamie Raskin as he urges House to hold Navarro and Scavino in contempt of Congress, shouting epithets: “Ashli Babbitt” and “What about the Russia collusion”
Raskin response Greene Heckling: The gentlelady said something about the Russian hoax… if she wants to continue to stand with Putin and his bloody invasion, she is free to do so and we understand there is a strong Trump/Putin axis in the gentlelady’s party.. pic.twitter.com/aZQMRe4FmJ
“The gentlelady, I think, said something about the Russian hoax or Russian collusion. I accept the heckling,” Raskin said. “Because if she wants to continue to stand with Vladimir Putin and his brutal, bloody invasion of Ukraine, she is free to do so. And we understand there is a strong Trump-Putin axis in the gentlelady’s party. If she wants to continue to stand with Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, that is her prerogative. But please do it on your own time, forthwith.”
In the meantime, the House panel voted to hold both Scavino and Navarro in contempt of Congress, joining the likes of Mark Meadows and Steve Bannon, who did the same and may wind up serving time. As for Greene, when she’s not heckling colleagues, she’s demeaning women and calling LGBTQIA+ people, advocates, and allies “pro-child predator.”
