Jerrod Carmichael Has A Photo Of Him With Taylor Swift As His Grindr Profile Pic Because Why Shouldn’t He?

Jerrod Carmichael has been having quite the year: the comedian released an HBO comedy special where he came out as gay, then immediately went on to host Saturday Night Live. Most recently, Carmichael starred in the very dark buddy comedy On The Count Of Three which hits theaters next month.

The former star of The Carmichael Show stopped by The Howard Stern Show and, naturally, the conversation turned to Carmichael’s love life. “I’m tempted to set you up,” Stren replies after Carmichael admits he is single. The comedian then revealed that his Grindr profile photo is of him and pop star Taylor Swift.

“I met her a couple of times, she’s very very sweet,” the comedian recalled. “Recently I was at Lena Dunhman’s wedding, and there’s a picture of me and Taylor that I use on my Grindr profile now. You really want to excite the gays in New York City? Send them a picture of you and Taylor Swift,” he adds. “I got these SNL promo pics, let me use them on Gindr!”

Then, as Howard Stern attempts to relate to the millennial in us all, the host asks if Carmichael is attracted to boy-of-the-moment Timothee Chalamet. “Who isn’t?” the comedian responds. “He knows that. He and Harry Styles are dangerous!”

Neneh Cherry Announces Collaboration Album, ‘The Versions,’ And Reveals Sia’s Cover Of ‘Manchild’

Ahead of Neneh Cherry‘s upcoming compilation album, The Versions, Sia has delivered her updated version of Cherry’s classic, “Manchild.” On her cover, Sia delivers her powerful vocals as she reels over a man who is falling short. The reimagination comes with an ’80s-inspired synth-and-drum beat, giving it a spirit similar to that encompassed by Cherry’s Raw Like Sushi era.

“Neneh was my favorite artist when she hit the scene,” said Sia in a statement. “I saved my pocket money for red Filas and dreamt one day we would meet. When I was struggling with my mental health in my early twenties, I somehow ended up in their house being taken care of as if I was one of their own children. I called her husband during a suicide attempt, who had been mentoring me as an incredible music producer, and they gave me all the love I could have dreamt of. I owe them a huge thanks and would sing ‘a-b-c’ for them if they asked.”

Sia’s cover will be included on Cherry’s upcoming album, The Versions, which will contain remixes, covers, and reimaginations of some of Cherry’s biggest songs. Also on The Versions is Robyn and Mapei’s reworked “Buffalo Stance.

An Old Olivia Wilde Interview (That Narrowly Avoided Going Off The Rails) Is Receiving Renewed Attention Amid The Process Server Fiasco

Olivia Wilde received much more than she bargained for while appearing at CinemaCon to introduce the trailer for Don’t Worry Darling, in which Florence Pugh and Harry Styles get hot and bothered. While Olivia was onstage, a process server stepped up with custody papers from Jason Sudeikis. That’s enough to throw anyone off, but Olivia kept going “without missing a beat,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. Sudeikis swiftly expressed displeasure for how this went down, and THR relayed that he had “had no prior knowledge of the time or place that the envelope would have been delivered.”

All of this is incredibly dramatic and awkward, which led IGN’s Jim Vejvoda to recount another awkward situation involving “being in the same room with” Olivia.

Thus began a Twitter thread, in which Vejvoda recounted how he had headed up to a Montana junket for Cowboys & Aliens (2011). He then detailed how the event filmed stars (including Wilde but also Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, and director Jon Favreau) in a field with cows wandering around in the background. When it came time for Olivia to speak, unbeknownst to her, a couple of cows were getting it on in the background. The interview nearly got scrapped, but it lived to tell the tale, sort of. The term “cow-pulation” adds a nice touch.

Years later, Olivia referred to Vejvoda as the “two cows f*cking guy!”

You can watch the interview at IGN and be distracted by the cows (I must have missed the cow action, FWIW) while you’re supposed to be working. The Internet can be wild sometimes. Well, a lot of times, actually.

Whether It’s Football Or ‘Call Of Duty,’ Garrett Wilson Doesn’t Change His Mentality

Garrett Wilson is projected to be one of the first wide receivers to come off the board during the first round of Thursday’s NFL Draft. The versatile pass catcher out of Ohio State’s highlights feature him being open so frequently that you feel bad for opposing cornerbacks — Wilson finished his junior year with 70 catches, 1,058 yards receiving, and 12 touchdowns. The numbers are gaudy and the tape is fascinating, but what separates Wilson is his approach both on and off the field.

“Your mentality is your mentality and you carry that with you no matter what you do,” Garrett Wilson tells UPROXX.

When he’s not being a quarterback’s best friend on the gridiron, one thing that Wilson really enjoys is playing Call of Duty. The game is definitely a favorite among professional athletes, but not everyone can sit down and play against professionals, which Wilson got to do earlier this year.

Wilson met plenty of current NFL pros during the pre-draft process, as well as a handful of professional Call of Duty players. While the experiences were different, it was clear to him that he was talking to the best at what they do in both camps.

“That was really cool being up in L.A., it was really cool. You get to see how good a pro actually is at Call of Duty.” Wilson says. “Whenever I met a pro gamer, they wanted to talk about the game. Whenever I met a football player, we rarely ever talked about football. But they’re both at the top of their sport, so it’s really interesting getting to talk to both.”

Of course, Wilson is going pro in football, while gaming is more of an opportunity to relax and interact with former teammates and long-time friends. There’s also a sense of familiarity with the game, as Wilson has played it ever since he was a kid.

“The first time I ever played Call of Duty was probably Modern Warfare 2,” Wilson said. “But when I really started taking it seriously was Black Ops 2, so around sixth or seventh grade.”

With so much time under his belt, Wilson held his own in what sounded like a pretty stacked locker room of Call of Duty players at Ohio State — he said he was in the top-3 among his teammates in Columbus, and perhaps he could have become a pro gamer if he set his mind to it. That isn’t the dream that Wilson wanted to chase, though, and as a result, we’re going to hear his name called as he enters the NFL on Thursday night.

We Ate NFL Draft Hopeful George Karlaftis’ ‘Really Simple’ Gigantic Go-To Chipotle Order

Legendary chef and author Anthony Bourdain famously wrote the following in his book Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly: “Good food is very often, even most often, simple food.” With all due respect to Bourdain, that is not always true, something that I learned thanks to this video posted in the lead-up to the 2022 NFL Draft featuring Purdue defensive lineman and prospective first-round selection George Karlaftis.

“I get a big bowl, brown rice, I get probably extra or double brown rice,” Karlaftis said when asked about his go-to order at the fast casual restaurant. “I get triple steak, usually, and I get a bunch of cheese on it. That’s it. Really simple.”

Simple. There’s that word, the common link between Bourdain’s thesis and Karlaftis’ order. Rice, lots of it. Steak, more of it. Cheese. It is, objectively, a simple order, but is simple good in this regard? Well, I have nothing else to do this afternoon in the lead-up to the Draft and can build in 30 minutes for a nap while I wait for pepcid to kick in and save my gastrointestinal tract from sheer agony, so why not find out?

Simple, again, one would think, but there is a layer of complexity to this. Because I don’t want anyone making fun of me to my face like a good poster, I attempted to order this meal on my phone through the Chipotle app. The catch: It would not open, for some reason (my hunch is the microphones that are used to track the things I say so my ads on Instagram can be personalized picked up on this and tried to save me from myself). Ok, fine, let’s go through my computer, because God as my witness, I am not looking a human in the eyes as I do this.

I ran into the issue of Chipotle quite literally will not let you order triple meat in a meal, nor will it let you specify double rice. As such, this was my order:

george karlaftis chipotle order
Bill DiFilippo

(NOTE: This graphic says Karlaftis gets light cheese as opposed to “a bunch” and white rice instead of brown. I tried to split the difference in an attempt to make this 0.05 percent healthier.)

With the addition of a bag of chips, which I got because Chipotle’s chips are great, the order came out to exactly $25, which is easily the most I have ever spent there. After going to pick it up, here is what greeted me as I opened both bowls in my kitchen:

george karlaftis chipotle order
Bill DiFilippo

Before eating, I did two things. One is something everyone should do when they order a bowl from Chipotle (or Moe’s, or Qdoba, etc.) and dumped the whole thing into a mixing bowl and tossed it together, so you get little bits of everything in every bite. This, admittedly, is a better tactic for when you are getting a bowl with more than 2.5 things in it, but I digress. It also gave me a chance to take out some of the bigger bits of cilantro — yes, I am part of the 20 or so percent of people who are genetically predisposed to think cilantro tastes like soap, which is why I generally veer away from Chipotle despite thinking it does a very good job.

Anyway, I sat down after making sure my Brita was full because I knew I was going to need a lot of water, stared at the following picture, and started digging in.

george karlaftis chipotle order
Bill DiFilippo

The first few bites were generally fine. If you have ever had steak or brown rice from Chipotle, you can almost certainly imagine what it was. I did notice the steak was over-seasoned, which is very much a thing I enjoy when I get food from here, and while I wasn’t able to get all of the cilantro out, obviously, it wasn’t much of a bother. The cheese was kind of just there in three or four of the forkfuls I consumed, since it got all melted and congealed. There were several bits of steak that I found about 10 minutes in that were wonderfully, perfectly fatty, which gave my life through the ultra-repetitive nature of this meal.

And then, at the 17-and-a-half minute mark, disaster struck. Chipotle is liable to cook its steak well-done. When it is warm and mixed with other things, it’s a thing you can live with. When you are nearly 20 minutes into eating a bowl that only has a few things and has gone cold by this point, it is the single least pleasant experience on earth. Biting into it required activating muscles in my jaw that I have never used before in my life, the process of chewing seemed to take hours. It was, maybe, a minute. It got chewed up and swallowed, but it was one of the most unpleasant things I have ever consumed.

I started noticing bits of cilantro more. At the 26-minute mark, I bit down on one and had a chill go down my spine. That happened again about five and a half minutes later.

There wasn’t much food left, I was merely eating to get as many calories into my body as possible. I tend to believe people who consume food generally fall into one of two categories — there are those who want to experience a good meal and believe in food as a wonderful way to experience something, either directly through what they are eating or as part of a larger, communal experience. Seeing as how this piece started off with a Bourdain quote, this is the camp in which I tend to fall.

And then there are those who view food as, essentially, gasoline. Their body needs fuel to keep running, and for someone like Karlaftis — a high-level athlete who stands 6’4 and 275 pounds and needs to put things in to perform at a level that turns him into an NFL Draft pick — Chipotle is a means to an end. I assume he eats this after practice or a workout. I ate it after taking the dog to the park.

At the 34:39 mark of my meal, with maybe 5-6 forkfuls left, I had to tap out. An enjoyable experience, that magical thing I seek when I sit down for a meal, was not possible. Simplicity turned into something far more complex, the mere thought of biting into steak, or rice, or cilantro made me feel physically ill. As I am typing these words, my body desperately wants me to put my head under the faucet in my sink and consume as much water as possible before taking a nap. Somehow, I feel a little tipsy, I’m not sure how or why.

I will, of course, encourage anyone to go to Chipotle at any time if they want that. This is especially true for George Karlaftis, who very obviously knows exactly what he wants and has been able to parlay this into a number of good meals and a partnership with the company before he ever steps foot on an NFL field. Having said that, I’m probably not eating it for a while, nor will I consume steak (easy enough, I’m not made of money) or rice (a lot more difficult) any time soon. Or cilantro, but that’s more a general operating procedure.

If you are reading this, there is a good chance I am taking a nap or on a walk to burn off some of this meal. At some point, I will have to consider if eating dinner today is going to be on my to-do list. The answer is probably not, but if it is, I’m excited to eat nothing but a gigantic bowl of vegetables.

What To Watch: Our Picks For The Ten Movies We Think You Should Stream This Weekend

Each week our staff of film and TV experts surveys the entertainment landscape to select the ten best new/newish movies available for you to stream at home. We put a lot of thought into our selections, and our debates on what to include and what not to include can sometimes get a little heated and feelings may get hurt, but so be it, this is an important service for you, our readers. With that said, here are our selections for this week.

10. (tie) Marry Me (Peacock)

marry me
PEACOCK

Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson star as a preposterously attractive couple who get together after her character — one half of a global sensation pop duo — discovers her lover and music partner has been stepping out. That’s right, it is rom-com time over here. Will they? Won’t they? Whose hair will look better in the pivotal scene that will probably take place in the driving rain? There’s one way to find out: Grab some popcorn and comfy pajamas and set up shop on the couch. Watch it on Peacock.

10. (tie) Kimi (HBO Max)

kimi
HBO

Zoe Kravitz plays a stay-at-home digital detective in this latest thriller from Steven Soderbergh who — with the help of her friendly A.I. sidekick Kimi — uncovers a string of murders she traces back to the company she works for. She then must venture out into a pandemic-ridden Seattle in search of the reason why. Honestly, we can’t relate. But, Kravitz is quickly becoming a bonafide action star and a Soderbergh script rarely disappoints. Watch it on HBO Max.

10. (tie) West Side Story (Disney Plus)

wss
DISNEY

Steven Spielberg brings the classic musical to the big and/or small screen, to the delight of both older fans and newer ones who get to experience it all for the first time. Get in there. Really let the experience wash over you. Sing along. Dance around your living room. Get in a knife fight with your sworn enemy. Okay, maybe not that last one. But the other ones, definitely. Watch it on Disney Plus.

9. Turning Red (Disney Plus)

turning red
DISNEY

In Domee Shi’s Turning Red, a boy band-loving teenage girl turns into a red panda whenever she experiences strong emotions, which as every parent of a teenager knows all too well, is often. Too often. It’s all the time, really. Turning Red is being called Pixar’s best movie in years, as it should. It’s about time red pandas got the cinematic showcase they deserve. Watch it on Disney Plus.

8. Deep Water (Hulu)

DW
HULU

Deep Water is an erotic thriller that stars Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas as… honestly, what more do you need? It’s a “weird, wild mess” of a movie from the director of Fatal Attraction and Unfaithful, with a murder mystery, duplicitous characters, and Affleck as an alpha cuck. Deep Water is the kind of sleazy mainstream movie that rarely gets made anymore, so it feels like a sexy treat that it even exists (from Disney, no less). Break out your Ana de Armas cardboard cutout and make it a double feature with Basic Instinct. Watch it on Hulu.

7. Tony Hawk: Until The Wheels Fall Off (HBO Max)

TONY
HBO

It is wild to think about how long Tony Hawk has been a figure in American pop culture. It is also wild to watch a full-length documentary about it, which is good and notable here because HBO made one. The whole thing is fascinating, the way the guy whose name is synonymous with skateboarding at this point is still doing it and does not plan to stop, and the way he’s built a career and lifestyle out of the thing he loved doing as a kid. It’s cool. And a good watch. Crank up “Superman” by Goldfinger and give it a run. Watch it on HBO Max.

6. Apollo 10 1/2: A Space-Aged Childhood (Netflix)

apollo
NETFLIX

Apollo 10½: A Space Age Childhood is loosely inspired by director Richard Linklater’s childhood in Texas. The coming-of-age animated film (think: Waking Life and A Scanner Darkly, but more nostalgic) is set during the summer of the Moon landing, and features performances from Glen Powell, Zachary Levi, and Jack Black. Linklater brings out the best in Black (he’s fantastic in both School of Rock and Bernie), and Apollo 10½: A Space Age Childhood looks to be no exception. Watch it on Netflix.

5. The Bubble (Netflix)

BUBBLE
NETFIX

Judd Apatow’s The Bubble is a pandemic-era movie about making a movie during the pandemic. We’re through the looking glass, people. The comedy, which stars Karen Gillan, David Duchovny, Keegan-Michael Key, Pedro Pascal, and Borat Subsequent Moviefilm breakout Maria Bakalova, was produced like a “two-hour Simpsons episode,” according to Apatow, and reportedly inspired by the production of Jurassic World Dominion. If enough people watch it on Netflix, maybe we’ll get a full-length Cliff Beasts 6: The Battle For Everest movie. Watch it on Netflix.

4. Metal Lords (Netflix)

metal
NETFLIX

Game Of Thrones HBO co-creator D.B. Weiss wrote this little ditty while teaming up with Rage Against The Machine axeman Tom Morello as a love letter to the metal genre. The story revolves around two high-schoolers who seek the ultimate glory and win contests and be gods, and so on. Unfortunately, it’s hard to find a bassist when Black Sabbath isn’t as popular with the kids as Justin Bieber is. The struggle is real.

3. The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes (Netflix)

marilyn
NETFLIX

Netflix continues its push into true(…ish) crime with this look at the death of Marilyn Monroe. While the title and general tone seem to imply some sort of new potential conspiracy at play, most of it appears to be a rehashing/reheating of things that have bubbled up in the past. Still, for a new generation of Marilyn fans, and with a new movie about her starring Ana de Armas, it could be a useful look at the strange final days of an American icon. Or a decent refresher. Or a decent way to kill a couple hours. It can be a lot of things, really. Watch it on Netflix.

2. White Hot: The Rise & Fall of Abercrombie & Fitch (Netflix)

aber
NETFLIX

The chokehold that Abercrombie & Fitch had on an entire generation of impressionable teens is just one of the many reasons watching the company’s disastrous fall in documentary form is so damn fun. This is a retail store that sold infant-sized clothes to fully-grown adults at the price of a life-time’s worth of body image issues. But if that’s just too dark to think about, it’s also a place where bare-chested men and heavy cologne assaulted you at every turn. In short, it was a hellscape disguised a shopping destination and this doc from Netflix peels back the curtains to paint a really interesting picture on discrimination in the workplace and the cost of cool. Watch it on Netflix.

1. The Batman (HBO Max)

Zoe Kravitz Catwoman The Batman
Warner Bros.

What if Seven but with way more leather and punching? In a lot of ways, that could serve as a very simple synopsis of what Matt Reeves has done with the crown jewel of DC Comics lore, placing his take beside The Joker on the highest shelf (both in terms of artistry, societal commentary, and other adult themes) in the DCEU film library. Does it work? In some ways, absolutely, providing a grim but intriguing vision of the Batman as a detective with the mother of all chips on his shoulder as he wrestles with his thirst for vengeance and a vicious villain in Paul Dano’s Riddler, who is always seemingly one step ahead of him and Jeffrey Wright’s Jim Gordon (a buddy cop pairing that is as awkward as it is rewarding). Throw in Zoe Kravitz’s tremendous turn as Selina Kyle/Catwoman (who also connects so well with Robert Pattinson’s Batman that you wish Reeves would have allowed for even more of their on-screen back and forth) and Gotham City’s usual mix of criminal underworld string-pulling and civic corruption and you’ve got a very full meal. Overfull? Too mature? Let’s just say The Batman can seem so grown up and dense at times that you may forget that it’s a superhero movie, for better or worse. Watch it on HBO Max.

10. (tie) Ziwe (Showtime)

ziwe
SHOWTIME

Ziwe Fumudoh, a formerDesus & Mero writer, took her audience by storm last season while wielding comedy as a weapon to satirize socially relevant issues and also spread unfiltered chaos. After leading a focus group for real-life “Karens,” she’s moved onto other hard-hitting explorations, which will feature a wide range of guests, including Chet Hanks, Emily Ratajkowski, Charlamagne Tha God, Chet Hanks,, Ilana Glazer, Hannibal Buress, and Mia Khalifa, among others. Watch it on Showtime.

10. (tie) Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty (HBO)

WINNING
HBO

If you think about it, Winning Time (HBO’s new Adam McKay-produced series about the 1980s LA Lakers) has all the elements of a classic heist movie. Assembled by a larger than life fast talker with equally big ambitions (in this case, former Lakers owner Jerry Buss), a rag-tag group comes together, leaning on their exceptional and unique talents to paper over any personality conflicts that might arise while taking the thing (a whole mess of gold trophies) no one thought they’d ever get their hands on. This while having some wild misadventures along the way. We’re simplifying, of course, but the point is this should appeal to basketball fans and non-basketball fans alike, earning the right to be the most buzzed-about piece of basketball culture crossover content since The Last Dance helped us all stave off boredom for a few months by telling the story of another mismatched group of big personalities and champions. Watch it on HBO.

10. (tie) Moon Knight (Disney Plus)

MOON
DISNEY

Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke are in the MCU now, but don’t expect either of them to be the typical Marvel superhero or villain. This show is sheer chaos (and joyous to behold) with Isaac’s character plagued with dissociative identity disorder and tormented with mockery by an Egyptian god. He’s a gift-shop employee, a mercenary, and a hero? Sure. Hawke plays a David Koresh-esque cult leader. Hold on tight. Watch it on Disney Plus.

9. I Love That For You (Showtime)

bayer
SHOWTIME

Vanessa Bayer was one of the best things about Saturday Night Live during her seven-year run and while nothing beats her awards-worthy work in the sketch comedy’s Totino’s trilogy, this definitely comes close. Based on Bayer’s own experience with childhood cancer (and her ongoing love affair with the home shopping channel) the show follows a yet-to-fully-mature woman who lies about her cancer diagnosis to keep her dream job. Everyone from Molly Shannon to Jenifer Lewis helps out here but it’s some of the lesser known members of the cast that really shine. Watch it on Showtime.

8. Russian Doll (Netflix)

Russian Doll Finale
Netflix

With a release date of 4/20, this show got trippier and swaggier after a close to perfect first season presented quite a dilemma, which was how to follow up the debut while believably upping Nadia and Charlie’s existential journeys. The time loop has now given way to time travel, and Natasha’s sense of physical comedy, never fails to command the screen while diving deep into the trauma of generations past. It sounds stressful, but the show never forgets to entertain. Watch it on Netflix.

7. Under the Banner of Heaven (Hulu)

under banner heaven
fx

Does Andrew Garfield have a kink for playing spiritually tortured characters on screen? Maybe, but we’re not complaining. Especially when he’s serving up some of the best work of his career in this FX true-crime series that’s everything it should be: gritty, introspective, with edge-of-your-seat thrills and the kind of theological world-building normally reserved for fantasy fare. The timeline hopping can be a bit jarring, but Garfield and the rest of the cast (Daisy Edgar-Jones and Gil Birmingham in particular) help ground things. Watch it on Hulu.

6. The Flight Attendant (HBO Max)

The Flight Attendant Season 2
HBO Max

The first season of The Flight Attendant was a blast, just fizzy chaos and murder from the opening scene to the very end, with Kaley Cuoco carrying the action as a party girl airline employee who finds herself wrapped up in about eight layers of international flim-flammery. It’s back for a second season, thank God, with her character, Cassie, now assisting the CIA. That probably sounds like an insane twist to you if you didn’t watch the first season. And it is. But more importantly… why haven’t you watched the first season yet. Good Lord. Get in there. You deserve a good time. Watch it on HBO Max.

5. The Offer (Paramount Plus)

goode
PARAMOUNT

It’s been 50 years, and fans of The Godfather seem to never tire of its behind-the-scenes odyssey and how director and co-writer Francis Ford Coppola went to war to get his cast and preserve the sanctity of his vision. But is there enough appetite to justify The Offer, a 10-episode exploration of that origin story, particularly among people that aren’t deeply passionate about The Godfather and who are just looking for a good TV show? Watch it on Paramount Plus.

4. Barry (HBO Max)

Barry Season 3
HBO

It should not be possible to enjoy watching a sweet man like Bill Hader destroy his life and the lives of those around him, and yet, here we all are, ready for season three of Barry, one of the best shows on television. It’s a dilemma, honestly. Not as much of a dilemma as, say, being a hitman who stumbles into an acting career and has to occasionally kill more people to prevent other people from learning that he has a history of killing people, but still. There’s an embarassment of riches at play here. Find another show that features Henry Winkler and Stephen Root and D’Arcy Carden where none of them are the funniest character, somehow, against incredible odds. This is the power of NoHo Hank. You either know what that sentence means or you desperately need to binge Barry as soon as possible. Watch it on HBO Max.

3. Atlanta (FX/Hulu)

atlanta
FX

Well, guess what: Atlanta is back, four years since its second season and just as ready and willing to throw you for a loop. Earn and Paper Boi and Darius are still off in Europe on that tour they were en route to way back then, but there are detours and flights of fancy and all the other weird, stunning, inventive stuff that made (and makes) this one of our greatest shows. Donald Glover and this crew are pretty good at this stuff. It’s great to have them back. Watch it on Hulu.

2. Better Call Saul (Netflix, AMC)

Better Call Saul
Greg Lewis/AMC/Sony Pictures Television

Better Call Saul is back, soon, finally, after an extended layoff. It remains one of our greatest shows, a ball of tension and comedy, the former of which is amped up even more as it heads into its final season. What will happen to Kim? What will happen to Nacho and Lalo? The Breaking Bad timeline is rapidly approaching and it’s time to answer these questions once and for all. It’s okay to be nervous. We’re nervous, too. Take some time for a quick Season 5 rewatch on Netflix and then strap in for the new episodes on AMC Plus

1. Ozark (Netflix)

Ozark Wendy Marty
Netflix

Alright, one thing is certain: this season is gonna be violent, and that could land right on top of Ruth Langmore and the Byrde family. Marty desperately wants to leave his money-laundering hellscape and go back to Chicagoan suburbia. Also, Ruth is hellaciously angry about losing almost everything. We’ll see if she can finally rise above that “cursed Langmore” status that she keeps clinging onto. There’s more cursed cookie jar, too, so we’ll see if she can rise above those ashes as the show careens to an end. Watch it on Netflix.

Diddy And The Weeknd Preview A New Collab In A Beats By Dre Commercial

A new Diddy and The Weeknd single may be on the way. Fans got a taste of new music in the latest Beats By Dre campaign. The new Made In LA commercial features NFL prospect Kayvon Thibodeaux as he walks through Los Angeles, trains, and runs drills on a field.

The commercial opens with a voice narrating anecdotes about Thibodeaux’s life. “He didn’t arrive just from nowhere,” the voice says, “We put a lot of prayer into that boy.” In the background, we hear The Weeknd crooning and humming, before the audio cuts to a verse from Diddy.

“All I am is a man with ambition to be the best / When I failed they just gave me the vision to see the rest / Wasn’t even ready when God gave me the test / So I pray you find love in the pieces of me that’s left,” raps Diddy.

The screen then cuts to show a pair of the new Beats Fit Pro headphones, from Beats By Dre, as The Weeknd sings, “Another one of me won’t come around.”

Neither a title nor a release date for the collaboration was revealed, however, it is likely the song will appear on Diddy’s upcoming album, Off The Grid, Vol. 1.

No, Andrew Garfield Isn’t Retiring, He’s Literally Just Going On Vacation

One of the many Spider-men, Andrew Garfield, recently made waves amongst his fans as he said he would be taking a “rest.” As it goes with most comic book superhero fans, some people took this too far, assuming he was quitting the industry altogether and retiring to a farm or something. As it turns out, he’s just on vacation.

While on The View, Garfield made fun of the idea that he was quitting. “Yeah I’m retiring officially,” he said seriously. “No, I’m done. I have enough money just to live in a camper van for the rest of my life and I’m done.” He eventually laughed at the notion before admitting he had no idea why so many fans burst into a collective panic over a break. “No, no, I mean, I don’t know where that came from,” he laughed. “I’m just having a holiday.”

A much-deserved holiday for the guy who was in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tick Tick BOOM!, The Eyes Of Tammy Faye, and just starred in the FX’s gritty true crime mini-series Under The Banner Of Heaven, all within a year. So yeah…he should take a break.

“I’ve been working hard, and I’ve been loving the work I’ve been doing, but also, you know, I need to take a month or so,” Garfield added. While we might not see him in the Spidey suit anytime soon, he will grace our screens once again, after he takes a long nap.

Madison Cawthorn Is Whining That His Own Party Is Out To Destroy Him After His 2nd Airport Gun Bust

In a move everyone saw coming, Representative Madison Cawthorn is now using his gun bust at a North Carolina airport to bolster his re-election campaign.

Cawthorn, who likely needed some “good press” after photos were leaked showing him wearing women’s jewelry and lingerie, was cited by the TSA earlier this week for carrying a loaded gun into Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Now, there’s nothing wrong with a man wearing lingerie, but it was pretty off-brand for a conservative boy scout like Cawthorn who’s rallied his base using homophobic and transphobic rhetoric. So when news broke that he’d had a run-in with law enforcement after trying to bring a deadly weapon on a flight, it seemed fairly obvious the whole thing was likely a PR move — especially considering he recently announced a coveted campaign endorsement by the NRA.

Now, Cawthorn’s using all the extra attention to paint himself as some sort of victim of the “political establishment” and he’s breaking out all of the MAGA buzzwords his tiny brain can think of to do it. Cawthorn took to Instagram, sharing a two-minute-long rant about how “the North Carolina political establishment” and “one RINO [Republican In Name Only] senator” are “targeting” him.

“They’re coming hard,” Cawthorn claimed. “They’re putting hundreds of thousands, millions of dollars to be able to defeat me. We’re starting to see this coordinated drip campaign. … It’s where they’re going to drop an attack article every one or two days just to try to kill us with death by 1,000 cuts, and that is really their main strategy.”

The “they” he’s talking about seems to be members of his own party including Sen. Thom Tillis who recently endorsed one of Cawthorn’s many challengers in the upcoming primaries. Call us crazy, but it sounds like Republicans just don’t like it when you accuse them of throwing cocaine-fueled orgies for clout.
