Coi Leray Performs A Colorful Medley Of ‘Trendsetter’ Hits On ‘The Tonight Show’

With Coi Leray’s debut album Trendsetter dropping this Friday, the New Jersey rapper stopped by The Tonight Show to show off a bit of what the album has to offer. Rather than focusing on any individual songs from the album, she chose to go with a medley of some of her hits from the past year that will appear on it, including “No More Parties,” “Twinnem,” and her new single with Nicki Minaj, “Blick Blick.”

Rocking a pair of distressed skinny jeans, a crop top, a trucker hat, and furry boots, Coi performed the songs on an airbrushed stage backed by a graffiti wall and surrounded by denim-clad dancers. She only played a snippet of “No More Parties” — understandable, considering she played the song during her previous appearance on The Tonight Show — then followed up with a chorus from “Twinnem” before going all-in on “Blick Blick.” While Nicki didn’t appear to perform her verse, Coi and her dancers ran through some choreography to allow the moment to shine.

Trendsetter will feature 20 songs, with guest appearances from Nicki, Yung Bleu, Young MA, HER, G Herbo, Lil Durk, Lil Tecca, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and Pooh Shiesty.

Wacky Majorie Taylor Green Is Channeling Her Deranged QAnon Roots Again And Getting Flash-Fried For It

Despite attempts to downplay her QAnon nuttiness, which sadly propelled her into office, Marjorie Taylor Greene couldn’t help herself this week as the Georgia congresswoman hurled a pretty gross accusation at three Republican senators for breaking ranks and moving forward Ketanji Brown Jackson‘s Supreme Court nomination. On Monday, senators Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, and Mitt Romney voted to bring Jackson’s nomination to the floor while the rest of the party held strong in attempting to deny giving President Joe Biden a win. A tactic the GOP often used on his former boss, Barack Obama.

“Murkowski, Collins, and Romney are pro-pedophile,” Greene tweeted on Tuesday morning. “They just voted for #KBJ.”

While it doesn’t make her accusation any less incendiary and detached from reality, there is a method to Greene’s madness. During Jackson’s Senate confirmation hearing, several Republicans tried to latch on to a child pornography sentencing handed down by Jackson that they felt was too lenient. However, legal experts quickly weighed in that Jackson’s sentence was on par with federal guidelines and fitting for the case, which involved an 18-year-old gay man who looked at nude images of teens close to his age.

But for the QAnon crowd, who’s never met an adversary they wouldn’t accuse of being a child predator, this was fertile ground, so naturally, Greene couldn’t resist firing of a tweet. However, a quick spin through the responses shows the Georgia rep is getting absolutely roasted, which isn’t hard to do considering her close partnership with fellow GOP congressman Matt Gaetz, who is currently under investigation for sex trafficking. There were also plenty of mentions for Greene’s contemporary, Lauren Boebert, whose husband was once arrested for exposing himself to teen girls at a bowling alley.

You can see some of the reactions to Greene below:

Jimmy Kimmel Had So Much Fun With Trump’s ‘Ridiculous’ Endorsement Of Sarah Palin’s Congressional Run

After once again embarrassing herself on the national stage by bouncing around restaurants in New York after testing positive for COVID, former Alaskan governor turned failed vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin announced last week that she’s running for Congress. In what would mark her biggest return to the world of politics after resigning as governor shortly after she and John McCain lost against Barack Obama and now-president Joe Biden, Palin is running for the seat vacated by Republican Don Young who passed away in March.

However, Palin has already picked up a crucial endorsement: Donald Trump. Despite not having the best reputation for repaying people for their loyalty, Trump issued a statement backing Palin. Although, it did not include a noticeable jab at the late John McCain, who Trump has noticeably detested over the years.

“Sarah lifted the McCain presidential campaign out of the dumps despite the fact that she had to endure some very evil, stupid, and jealous people within the campaign itself,” Trump wrote. “They were out to destroy her, but she didn’t let that happen. Sarah Palin is tough and smart and will never back down.”

After catching wind of Trump’s endorsement, Jimmy Kimmel couldn’t resist taking a jab at the circus beginning to unfold. Via Mediaite:

“But I guess the Masked Singer money dried up and Sarah’s running for office,” Kimmel added, poking fun at Palin’s latest gig.

“Trump endorsing Sarah Palin is like paste-eating endorsing glue-sniffing,” cracked the host. “It’s ridiculous.”

Kimmel also poked fun at Trump’s statement referring to Palin as “tough” and “smart,” which was quite the claim. “Even for Trump, it’s impressive to fit three lies into an 11-word sentence,” Kimmel quipped.

Teacher returns from maternity leave to field hilariously sweet questions from her class

Whoa, baby! Fielding questions about where babies come from can be a full-time job, especially when you’ve got a classroom full of curious kids. Most times, this big question is left to the parents, who sometimes give elaborate answers that they invariably need to correct when the child is older. I’ve heard parents tell kids that babies come from watermelon seeds that get accidentally swallowed or that a stork drops babies off on doorsteps (I’ve yet to hear where the stork gets this unsuspecting child). People can spin some tall tales in an effort to avoid answering the question of where babies come from and how they get out.

A K-5 science teacher in North Carolina decided she was going to answer questions from her curious second grade class with age-appropriate truthful answers. Nancy Bullard, 32, was preparing for maternity leave with her first child and realized she would need to inform her class that she would be out for a few months so they wouldn’t be concerned.

Bullard told Today Parents, “I didn’t want them to get caught off guard when I stopped coming to school. Plus, I wanted to reassure them that my leave was temporary.” Bullard has a rotating group of students that come through her science lab weekly and she decided to turn her expected absence into a lesson she titled “Baby Bonanza.” During the lesson, the kids were able to draw the baby and guess his birthday, weight and time of birth.

Bullard also said the students gave her very cute parenting advice and tips on how to be a good mom. Some of this included singing the baby a song to throwing a piece of cheese on its face. The cheese was inspired by a TikTok video, the child admitted, but other gems included feeding and changing the baby, while one child suggested running away if the baby started crying.

When Mrs. B. returned to work after welcoming her first child, Sam, a baby boy, the kids were ready to learn more, and Mrs. B did not disappoint. Bullard told Today Parents, “I wanted to take a few minutes to catch up with students, introduce them to my son, and let them ask questions. When I wrote my lesson plan for this day I planned to spend about five minutes answering questions, but ended up spending nearly 20 minutes doing so.”

The students were filled with curiosity when their teacher returned. One asked “Is it difficult to have a baby?” to which Mrs. B. responded, “Yeah, yeah it is. It’s pretty tough.” Another student asked if the baby slept with his mom and dad, while another wanted to know the big question. You know: Where do babies come from? Without missing a beat, Bullard answered like the science teacher she is, with “They come from an organ called your uterus,” while pointing to her lower belly.

Bullard explained to Today that she taught a lesson earlier in the year about organs and organ function to her kids in K-5. “Regardless of age, all my students understand the basic concept of pregnancy: There was a baby inside me, now that baby is out, and I spent maternity leave taking care of him … Students were interested, curious, and excited to get their questions answered,” the new mom said. “As a science teacher, I welcome curiosity and always strive to answer questions factually.”

The elementary science teacher shared the video on TikTok and Instagram, “Mrs. B TV,” where the video has racked up more than 7 million views across the two platforms.

May all children be so lucky as to have a Mrs. B. at some point in their school career.

Jason Momoa Assures Fans He Is Not Dating Kate Beckinsale, He Is Just A Nice Dude

Despite doing his best to stay out of the spotlight, Jason Momoa has been the center of attention as of late. The Aquaman actor has been going through a breakup with longtime partner Lisa Bonet, though rumors have been flying. Most recently, fans believed he was dating actress (and Pete Davidson’s ex) Kate Beckinsale after she was spotted wearing his jacket at the Oscars. Turns out he is just a nice dude!

“It was cray. Have a conversation with a woman about her country. I was in England doing Aquaman 2,” Momoa explained to Extra after the two were spotted having a conversation in the early morning hours after the Oscars. “Everyone is like, ‘Are you dating?’ No, no, it was chivalry. The woman was cold.” Chivalry is alive and well, friends!

The actor continued, “She is very nice, I was being very nice, just being a gentleman. Now, I am not giving my coat to anyone.” See, he was just being nice to the actress, and now he will probably never be seen talking to a woman again.

Momoa recently teamed up with Apple TV+ for a series about his native home Hawaii, and also wrapped the latest Aquaman film earlier this year. Despite difficulties in his personal life, he seems to be doing alright for himself! He has been hanging out with all of the cool Hollywood kids, and he even rides bikes with Bonet’s ex, Lenny Kravitz. As long as he doesn’t offer anyone his jacket to any more women, he’ll be fine!

‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’ Isn’t Out Until Next Year, But It’s Already Broken A World Record

2000’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas is Jim Carrey’s third highest-grossing movie to date (and possibly ever), but he nearly quit after his first day on set over the makeup process. “The first day was eight and a half hours and I went back to my trailer and put my leg through the wall,” he said on The Graham Norton Show in 2014. “I [explained to director] Ron Howard I couldn’t do the movie.” Makeup artist Kazuhiro Tsuji told Vulture that Carrey was “really mean to everybody” (the Man on the Moon crew can relate), so Grinch producer Brian Grazer “came up with a brilliant idea,” Carrey called it, which was to hire a CIA operative to train the actor in techniques to overcome torture.

Hopefully the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. cast and crew had an easier time.

On Monday, Guardians director James Gunn tweeted, “Just heard from our makeup folks at @LegacyEffects that yesterday #GotGVol3 officially passed the World Record for ‘the most makeup appliances created for a single production’ (surpassing The Grinch). Congrats, guys! Thanks for keeping practical effects alive!”

It’s fitting that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. would be the film to break How the Grinch Stole Christmas‘ makeup record. Gamora and the Grinch are both green, and both movies have baby versions of “adult” characters. Except Baby Groot is cute; Baby Grinch came from the depths of Hell to haunt me. I haven’t known peace since 2000.

Cursed.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 opens on May 5, 2023.

Tiger Woods Plans To Play The Masters ‘As Of Right Now’ And Believes He Can Win

Less than 14 months ago, Tiger Woods was in a horrific car crash that required multiple surgeries to repair his right leg, which doctors worried they may have to amputate at one point due to the severity of his injuries. Not many expected we would ever see Tiger Woods back at the top of the golf world and especially not back a year after that crash, but in November he posted a video of him hitting a ball on the range that indicated he was on the comeback trail that had golf fans in a frenzy.

Woods played in a father-son event in December that allowed him to play using a golf cart to get around, and it was clear that his swing was making a full recovery. The bigger question was whether he could handle the rigors of a PGA Tour event, walking 72 holes over four days and all the stress that places on his leg. For months, Woods has been making more and more public appearances and was never willing to fully rule out playing at this year’s Masters — while also being careful not to get everyone’s hopes up.

However, the last two weeks it has gone from feeling like a long shot we’d see Tiger prowling around Augusta National Golf Club to feeling like a lock, as he’s been on the grounds practicing and playing, testing that leg over and over. On Tuesday, Woods met with the media in the most anticipated pre-tournament press conference ever, and indicated that, as of today, he was in fact planning on playing in the tournament.

That is the first confirmation from Woods, who noted he still will play nine more holes on Wednesday to see how his leg reacts to more of the strenuous walk that is Augusta National, but barring something unforeseen, he’ll tee it up on Thursday with the best golfers in the world. As for expectations, it should come as no surprise that Tiger believes he can win another green jacket, noting that his golf game is far from the concern right now.

No one moves the needle like Tiger Woods and that’s been the case for 25 years, when he first won a green jacket back in 1997. Making his return at the place where his legend truly began feels right, and in the words of Chubbs, he’s going to play and by god, he’s going to win.

Elon Musk Teases That He Might Give Twitter Users The One Thing They’ve Been Most Clamoring For Forever

This week, news broke that Tesla/SpaceX CEO Elon Musk had purchased a 9.2% stake in Twitter, and the SEC filing came as a surprise, given that the SEC has also put the brakes on him by requiring him to get approval for “material” tweets about Tesla. It wasn’t clear (at the time) whether Elon would have any say in how Twitter operates or whether he was a passive investor, and Lauren Boebert hopped all over the place in excitement, claiming a free-speech victory in a move that seemed premature.

Well, maybe there was something to that. Twitter has now revealed (via Hollywood Reporter) that Elon is officially on the board of directors for the social media platform. In a new filing, in fact, the agreement is good until 2024, at least. The move’s also conditioned upon Elon not purchasing “more than 14.9 percent of Company’s common stock outstanding.”

That says a lot, both good and bad (remember, Elon made noises about starting his own platform not too long ago), but the bottom line is this: Elon will apparently have a say in the day-to-day operations of Twitter. And to that end, he’s tweeting something that will have Twitter users on his side: “Do you want an edit button?”

Well, in that case… a lotta people have asked for an edit button along the way. Ice-T has put forth a compelling case even while pointing out that, yes, people have made arguments against it. Yet if Twitter can provide an edit button (for correcting innocent typos, for example) and also allow for visible edit history (like Facebook does), then maybe it’s really worth giving the people what they want.

And Elon might get credit if this happens, which would be quite something, considering that Twitter tweeted this on April 1: “we are working on an edit button.”

The timing suggests an April Fool’s joke, but maybe not?
