The Hot Dog Fingers From ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ Are Spring’s Hottest Fashion Accessory

Everything Everywhere All at Once is a genuine hit at the box office — and a fashion inspiration. In one of the multiverse realities in the Daniels’ mind-bender, Michelle Yeoh has hot dog fingers. If you haven’t seen the movie and are confused by that sentence, what are you doing? Go see it. If you have seen the movie, then you’ll want to get your non-hot dog hands on a pair of hot dog finger gloves. Unfortunately, they’re sold out on A24’s website, but Andrew Garfield got his, and he’s been showing them off.

While walking the red carpet at the Met Gala, Yeoh was asked by the Cut what she thought of Garfield’s hot dog-flavored water, I mean, fingers. “Oh my God! I love him!” she said. “Can you imagine? I had been watching his interviews that he’s doing for Under the Banner of Heaven, and he’s sitting there asking his costar, ‘Have you seen Everything Everywhere?’ And he goes, ‘No.’ ‘Then you have to go see it.’ He talks about our film and walks out with the hot dog fingers. I love him. I love him.”

Podcaster Jamie Loftus is also a fan:

Hot Dog Fingers Twitter is the only good genre of Twitter:

You can buy your own pair when they go back on sale here. Could the butt plug be next?

‘The Umbrella Academy’ Previews Elliot Page’s Viktor As The Group Gears Up Against The Sparrow Academy ‘A**holes’

“Who the hell are these a**holes?”

That was the question posed at the end of The Umbrella Academy Season 2 (which was a twist-filled blast). In the closing scene, the Hargreeves family (as we knew them) confronted a new group of also-Hargreeves siblings. As it turns out, horrible father Reginald had been prepping another group of supernaturally gifted brothers and sisters, who apparently surfaced under the same interdimensional circumstances as the O.G. group. Thus, we’ve got the Sparrow Academy, which also contains a Ben, who left one dimension and then surfaced with these other Hargreeves from another timeline.

Or something like that!

It’s all rather confusing at the moment, but sweet Ben is apparently now an a**hole who brands other people as “a**holes” when, really, the Sparrows seem to fit that bill. They seem pretty hostile! Yeah, I can’t wait to see how that rivalry goes, but more importantly for the time being, Netflix has put Elliot Page’s character — who comes out as transgender — back into action as Viktor.

The Umbrella Academy Season 3
Netflix
The Umbrella Academy Season 3
Netflix

The show made that creative call after Page also came out as trans in July 2020 with Netflix quickly declaring that Elliot would return for Season 3. And here’s part of the Season 3 synopsis:

After putting a stop to 1963’s doomsday, the Umbrella Academy return home to the present, convinced they prevented the initial apocalypse and fixed this godforsaken timeline once and for all. But after a brief moment of celebration, they realize things aren’t exactly (okay, not at all) how they left them. Enter the Sparrow Academy. Smart, stylish, and about as warm as a sea of icebergs, the Sparrows immediately clash with the Umbrellas in a violent face-off that turns out to be the least of everyone’s concerns.

Yikes. From there, the two fams will have to learn to work together in order to make sure that the Umbrella gang can get back to their correct timeline. And yes, they’re part of the reason (as usual) why all the apocalypse stuff is happening in the first place. Please let there somehow be another Klaus-Ben street scuffle this season. We need the chaos.

The Umbrella Academy will return on June 22.

D.L. Hughley Thinks It’s ‘Out Of Pocket’ For Pete Davidson To Get Tattoos Honoring Kim Kardashian’s Kids

Pete Davidson is known for getting tattoos about everything and everything (and eventually covering them up) and even branding himself. Davidson was recently seen with the letters “KNSCP” on his neck, and fans believe they are to represent the initials of Kim Kardashian’s children with ex Kanye West. Yeah, it’s weird, but that’s his thing. Some people, like fellow comedian D.L. Hughley, think the move is “out of pocket.”

“I think it’s his body, it’s his woman, [but] those are Kanye’s kids. That would piss me off,” the comedian told TMZ. Hughley seems to think it will only cause problems for the Saturday Night Live star. “It’s none of my business, but if you tattoo my kids’ name on your neck, I’d have something to say about it.” He added.

He then went on to say that the tattoo will only provoke West. “Listen, nobody’s telling you you can’t live your life. If that’s your woman, you have a good time. But if you put that man’s kids on your neck, that’s antagonizing. That’s out of pocket for me.”

Davidson and Kardashian have been spotted literally everywhere lately, most recently making an appearance at the Met Gala last night. West, on the other hand, has kept a relatively low profile after making some questionable threats to Davidson. If he does reach out to Davidson, he’ll have to go through Martha Stewart first.

Cardi B Shares A Billie Eilish Voice Message To Address Rumors Of Met Gala Beef Between Them

The 2022 Met Gala went down yesterday and it seemed to go off without incident: Lizzo played a $55,000 flute, SZA teased new music, Phoebe Bridgers had some people thinking she shaved her head, and all in all, it seemed like a good time was had. It was after the actual gala, though, that some apparent beef surfaced.

Cardi B performed at an after-party and while speaking to her audience, she encouraged them to have fun, get some drinks, and although she didn’t say the last one out loud, the motion she made with her hand suggested she was encouraging use of nasally ingested drugs. After that moment, while Cardi was performing, Billie Eilish was filmed looking around and telling somebody, “This is so weird,”

So, it appeared to some that Eilish had an issue with Cardi, or at least with her performance. Now, though, Cardi has cleared the air on Twitter by sharing audio messages she and Eilish shared over Instagram after the event.

In one, Eilish says, “Oh my god, I was so worried you were going to see that: I was f*cking calling the people around you weird because everybody was coming up to you and shoving their phones into your ass! And I was like, ‘Just look at her with your eyes!’” Cardi responded with a message, saying in a fake-crying voice, “Internet’s trying to divide us. They don’t understand that you’re my baby!”

Cardi also captioned her tweet, “I hate the internet cause one, how do y’all turn one of the most lit parties into drama? Two, Ocean eyes is the song I cater to my daughter. Three,Billie is my f*ckin baby.Yesterday, from the met to the party, everything was drama free. Why do yallwanna turn everything into mess?”

Paul Walker’s Brother Stars In A New PSA About The Dangers Of Street Racing: ‘It’s Not Worth The Risk, I Promise’

Cody Walker, brother of the late Fast and Furious star Paul Walker, is warning viewers about the dangers of street racing in a new PSA from the Orange County District Attorney’s office. In the minute-long spot, Cody appears shortly after an intro from fellow Fast star Sung Kang who extols the virtues and camaraderie of racing as cars speed along a desert track. And that’s just where Cody urges drivers to keep their racing, instead of on the streets, where his brother famously died in a 2013 crash during a break from filming Fast & Furious 7.

Via Comic Book:

“Like many of you, I too have lost somebody due to reckless driving,” said Cody Walker. “I think a lot of the time when those of us that want to go fast, or we have something to prove, we don’t take into consideration the lives of those around us. It’s not just you that you’re putting in jeopardy it’s everybody else around you. So don’t be dumb, take it to the track. There’s somebody at home that loves you that’s expecting you to return. It’s not worth the risk, I promise.”

Cody appearing in the PSA with Kang is also interesting in light of a recent Instagram post from Fast and Furious lead Vin Diesel. In the post, Diesel brings up Walker’s family’s hopes of seeing Paul’s character, Brian, make a “tasteful cameo” in one of the last two films. (Brian is canonically alive in the films, but never shown following Walker’s death.) If Cody is making PSA with other Fast stars, that could be a sign that he’s working with the production team to help Brian make a final big-screen appearance.

Or he could just be doing a good thing by warning about the very real dangers of street racing.

Hovvdy Announce The ‘Billboard For My Feelings’ EP, Which Continues The Story Of ‘True Love’

Continuing the story of their 2021 breakthrough album, True Love, Austin duo Hovvdy have announced a new EP called Billboard For My Feelings. Their upcoming EP consists of four songs written during the True Love sessions, most of which are composed of synth- and acoustic guitar-driven pop melodies.

“I allowed myself to focus more on how everything feels, and a little less about telling a complex story,” said Hovvdy member Charlie Martin in a statement. “Both are super valuable — how a melody or texture makes you feel, versus how a super-emotional piece of songwriting impacts you.”

“We got to have more fun; we got to cut back,” added Hovvdy member Will Taylor. “I’m realizing there are many forms Hovvdy can return to, and this EP is a different form.”

Ahead of Billboard For My Feelings, Hovvdy has shared a video for “Hide,” a song that Taylor says is “a lighthearted song about learning when to let your thoughts run wild and when to batten them up.” The song’s video is a kaleidoscopic montage of found footage of blooming flowers, butterfly wings, and ocean creatures.

Check out “Hide” above and the Billboard For My Feelings cover art and tracklist below.

Justin Bieber Says A ‘Mind-Blowing’ John Mayer Guitar Solo Is Featured On His Next Album

Last year, Justin Bieber released his sixth studio album Justice, though not without some controversy. He has kept up his momentum since then, releasing “Honest,” last week’s collaboration with Houston, Texas-native rapper Don Toliver, and returning to his interest in hip hop. Today, in an interview with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden, Bieber divulged that a new album is in the works already, saying it’s “almost done” and “it should be dropping not too long from now.” He also mentioned that there are a lot of features on it, including John Mayer.

“Wicked guitar solo, so that was really cool for me,” Bieber said. “He’s someone who I’ve looked up to for a long time. So we were at Henson the studio, and I was working on this song and he came in and he’s like, ‘Can I go in the booth?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, bro, go in.’ And so he went in the booth and then he came out and he laid a guitar solo and it was just like, it was mind-blowing to see him actually operate in his gift like that, being able to like see it first-hand, because like he is on another level. It’s insane.”

While there isn’t much other information about the album yet, we’ll almost certainly hear more as its release nears.

Nicole Kidman’s Performance In ‘The Northman’ Is One Of The Best Of Her Career

In the pivotal, weirdest, and most memorable scene in The Northman, Nicole Kidman delivers the monologue of her career. The monologue is loaded. Kidman’s character, Queen Gudrún, tells her son Amleth (Alexander Skarsgård) that everything he thought he believed was a lie. After escaping death when he was a boy, Amleth spent his entire life preparing to get revenge for his father’s death at the hands of his uncle, Fjölnir. Amleth also swore that he would save his mother who, from his perspective, was taken by Fjölnir unwillingly. Except everything Amleth is fighting for is a lie. Gudrún wanted her husband and Amleth’s father, King Aurvandill killed, and she begged Fjölnir to do it for her.

The monologue requires seamless, rhythmic expositional dialogue that simultaneously suggests the protagonist’s motivations are pointless. Gudrún seduces Amleth (her son, in case you have already forgotten). She kissed him in a sexual way, not in a mother kissing her son in the cheek way, and proposes a scenario in which Amleth kills everyone and the two run off together (Viking life!). The scene could have gone poorly if done by any other actor in any other way. Kidman strikes the balance of sincere melodrama and camp, making The Northman her best performance in years, and one of the best of her career.

Normally when you’re watching a Nicole Kidman performance, even some of her best, you are always, in the back of your mind, aware that you are watching Nicole Kidman. This is true, and likely by design, for most of The Northman. During the big monologue, Kidman is so absorbed in the performance that she disappears. Her face is the same save for some aging makeup: she looks exactly like Nicole Kidman but with long, blonde hair. But as the twist is revealed, Kidman is gone; her face, hiding in the shadows and lit only by firelight, contorts itself but somehow stays the same.

For a majority of The Northman, Nicole Kidman feels like she’s simply there as a very famous person who was cast in a standard motherly role to get people to see the very weird Viking movie (The Northman is a very good, but very weird movie. Cannot stress enough how weird it is). Queen Gudrún spends most of the movie in the shadows, portrayed in the narrow way Amleth sees her: a helpless Queen who lost her husband and needs to be saved. Kidman smoothly deceives the audience with a standard performance, making the twist shocking although it still feels earned. Looking back, Kidman’s performance plants seeds in a fit of laughter that could be interpreted as screams, loving looks that could also be hateful.

Nicole Kidman has always been a versatile actor, as open to pure camp like Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers and the AMC ad as she is to awards season bait like The Hours, which won her an Oscar. She is also, for the record, always open to wearing a wig, big or small. She’s done musicals like Baz Luhrman’s Moulin Rouge!, her best performance to date because it combines her ability to execute the work of offbeat writers/filmmakers with her idiosyncrasies as well as her ability to deliver natural, heart-wrenching melodrama with her gentle charisma. The Northman director Robert Eggers understood these strengths and pushed her to go far beyond what anyone would ever expect. Eggers tends to do this, given that he is capable of getting surprising performances out of Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson, two of the most chaotic, uncanny actors to ever do it. In The Northman, Nicole Kidman is doing her best Willem Dafoe performance, as is her right.

Only an actor so approachable and so loved like Kidman can rip your heart out so quickly and cruelly, then pull off trying to make out with her son. Kidman’s a reliable performer and while she has certainly given good performances in the past several years including her performance as a victim of domestic abuse (coincidentally opposite The Northman co-star Alexander Skarsgård) on HBO’s Big Little Lies, her performance in The Northman is indicative that she’s not done surprising us yet.

Sebastian Stan Continued His Reign As An Unpredictable King In Hot Pink At The Met Gala

Sebastian Stan almost always (slightly explicit link here) understands the assignment. However, he ignored the Met Gala assignment, and that’s absolutely alright. Preferred, even. The “Gilded Glamour” theme worked just fine for Kim Kardashian and Billie Eilish. A not-Jared Leto attendee gathered plenty of attention for outrageousness, but there was one attendee who looked as comfy-but-still-stylish as could be.

And that’d be the guy who plays Bucky Barnes in the MCU. Sebastian showed off his hot pink Valentino (an outfit that would have made Jason Momoa jealous) on Instagram.

We’re not even halfway through the year, and Stan’s proven that he’s one of the most unpredictable Hollywood players currently out there. He worked it hard as the frontman of Pam & Tommy and then moved on to play a cannibal in Fresh. This follows up on last year’s dramatic outing in Monday, all while still carefully balancing what’s going on with Marvel and press outings galore in the middle of a freaking pandemic.

So yeah, the guy deserved a little comfort rather than to wear a stuffy suit.

The rest of our Met Gala coverage can be found here, and here’s to the rest of an equally unpredictable 2022 for the guy who warned us all by playing Jeff Gillooly in I, Tonya. Heck, I’d suggest putting Stan into a movie with Robert Pattinson to double the chaos, but that happened already in The Devil All The Time. (It’s a worthy watch.)
