On Wednesday, a man armed with a pistol and a knife, among other weapons, was arrested outside the residence of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. “Nicholas John Roske, 26, of Simi Valley, California, was charged with attempted murder of a Supreme Court justice after he called authorities and said he was having suicidal thoughts and wanted to kill a specific justice,” according to the Washington Post.

Roske reportedly targeted Kavanaugh because he was “upset” by the very real possibility of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade and the recent school shooting (although, sadly, not the most recent school shooting) in Uvalde, Texas.
