Future Hangs Out In Little Havana In His Laid-Back ‘Holy Ghost’ Video

Little Havana is having kind of a moment in hip-hop. Not only did Rick Ross offer a musical ode to the Miami neighborhood on his latest album but now Future has also given a glimpse of a day in the life there with his new video for “Holy Ghost.” Strolling down the street one evening, a shirtless Future finds himself hanging out on the porch with some residents, playing dominoes, and having what appears to be one heck of a great time with the natives, who all sport matching house arrest monitors on their ankles.

The implication is clear; no matter where Future ends up, he’ll always find his people. Despite our differences, we have a lot more in common. If you doubt it, just break out the dominoes and watch what happens. And because it’s a rap video, of course, they found a way to get some booty in the clip too, via a scantily-clad woman hanging up laundry on a clothesline.

“Holy Ghost” is track 13 on Future’s latest album, I Never Liked You, which was released on April 29 via Freebandz and Epic Records. Sporting the singles “Worst Day,” “Wait For U,” and “Keep It Burnin,” the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, becoming Future’s seventh album to do so. Future has since released one more video, for the song “Puffin On Zootiez.”

Taika Waititi On Why He Needed Thor To Find Love In ‘Thor: Love And Thunder’

Taika Waititi, as he says ahead, enjoys “playing” with fans’ expectations of what a Thor movie should be. After Thor: Ragnarok (which came out, somehow, five years ago now), he’s certainly cracked the code on how to make a Thor movie. Waititi’s Thor is less “stoic god” and more “lovable lunkhead,” which makes this iteration of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor extremely endearing. (And having an actor like Hemsworth who can look the part, but also be hilarious, certainly helps.) So for Waititi, the obvious next step, in Thor: Love and Thunder, was to have Thor go through a midlife crisis and reassess his feelings on love.

Which means Dr. Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) is back. And, following a similar arc from the comics, Thor’s old weapon, the hammer Mjölnir, calls out to Jane (there’s also a love triangle in this movie between Thor, Mjölnir, and Thor’s new weapon, Stormbreaker), which results in her becoming Mighty Thor. So she joins Thor, Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), and Korg (Waititi) on a galaxy-spanning adventure to stop Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale) from killing all the gods in the galaxy (which would include Thor). But, as comic fans know, Jane’s new powers come with a price.

Ahead, Waititi says they started discussing where Thor should go next literally the day Ragnarok hit theaters. And he tells us how he got Russell Crowe to play Zeus (in a performance that can best be described as “over the top,” who had to be convinced this would not be anything like Maximus from Gladiator. But, first, Waititi makes fun of my Zoom feed. Because, now, I’m the only person left who does not have a good Zoom background.

Good to see you.

You, too. This looks good. This video is interesting to me. This looks like found footage from a horror film.

Me? Yeah, That’s accurate.

It’s awesome. I love it. It looks like it’s 4:00 AM.

This corner is the only place in this room that doesn’t have a bunch of stuff behind it. If I tilt up, see, there’s a Star Trek: The Motion Picture poster…

[Laughs] Oh… I’m not promoting Star Trek: The Motion Picture?

Yeah, that’s what we are here to talk about.

Alright.

So, Thor owns a Cocktails and Dreams neon sign from Cocktail. In the theater I did the DiCaprio pointing at the screen meme…

Yeah. I think a lot of the design of that stuff was like, what would seem really just weird. Like other things that are going through space, why not have Cocktails and Dreams on the outside of the goat boat? And also, it’s a goat boat, a Viking ship being dragged by goats through space and the space dolphins. And a lot of the stuff is from the comics. And a lot of the stuff is from the Norse mythology as well – the goats and the towing the ship through space, all that stuff. And it’s just like, I think with this film, after we did Ragnarok, we wanted to do something that felt just as colorful and energetic and just as much of a sort of bombastic feel to it, but we wanted to be able to make it maybe a bit more emotional, push Thor further. And out of all of the elements that we managed to get into the film, it sort of retains that. And I think maybe just because it’s the closest film to me right now, but I do think it’s better.

So when you finish Ragnarok, you’re thinking to yourself, “You know what this movie’s missing? It’s missing a direct reference to Cocktail, and we have to correct that.”

Exactly. Yeah. That’s right. My big regret with Ragnarok was not doing Cocktail.

And now it’s corrected.

Well, probably Jeff Goldblum’s big palace in Ragnarok? It should have been in there.

Right.

When we finished Raganarok, we actually all went to dinner. And this was five years ago, the night that the film opened in cinemas. And then we all discussed, we were like, what would be next for Thor? We knew Raknarok would be leading up to Endgame. But what would be the next thing? And it was five years ago that we came up with this whole montage: his travels, clips from things you’ve never seen him in or seen him doing, as a kid, how he grew up. And the whole film kind of about this all sort of unraveled from there. Then wanting to bring Jane back, wanting to bring in the God Butcher. Because even on Ragnarok, we were looking at the God Butcher there.

Am I crazy, or is Beetlejuice in this movie? I saw a shadow creature at the end that looked like Beetlejuice once he transforms into a monster. I didn’t know if that was a reference or not, or maybe my brain made that up.

Maybe one of these computer people did it themselves. I wouldn’t mind.

So it’s possible is what you’re saying?

Yeah. It’s possible. And if it did happen, I’m okay with it.

Especially the first third of this movie, I felt a connection with Thor. He went through trauma, and we’ve all been through trauma with the pandemic and everything. And I think a lot of people have reassessed their lives. This really hits something.

Well, the film is about finding Thor in a midlife crisis, trying to figure out his purpose. And as you’re saying, a lot of people in the last two years, have gone, “Was I happy before? Was I doing what I’ve been doing?” Suddenly, they’re realizing they’re at home with their families. They’re like, “Oh, I think this is actually what I want.” And it’s about finding purpose and finding just a reason for what we do and whether it counts. Can I do more? And that whole aim by the end of the film was to sort of find his real purpose. And I’m not going to say what that is, but yeah, that was important.

Do you want to do another Thor? I mean, I feel like you’ve cracked the code with Thor. I’ve tried to put myself in your shoes where it’s like, yeah, I could easily do another one and probably do a really good one, but would you want to?

Well, yeah, not right now. If Chris was into it and stuff, I’m sure there’s an even crazier thing that we could probably come up with.

Right.

It’s just got to be something that’s at least, that no one expects. With Love and Thunder, we were like, what would be good after Ragnarok? What could we do? And I was thinking, well, I like kind of like playing with the fans a little bit. And I was like, the thing that no Thor fan really wants to see is the word “love” in a Thor title. “I’m Thor, and I go out and smash things and stuff.” No, but Thor being in love, the idea of love surrounding Thor, is actually pretty amazing. And there’s a character I want to see.

Speaking of that, I’m just guessing, but I felt like you were almost at your happiest directing the stuff with Thor and Jane when they’re dating. All the flashback stuff.

Totally! Totally.

I feel like you could do a whole movie of just that.

Yeah. For me, the film is really just that relationship, you know? We’ve got his story as well. But for me, one of the most important things really was just to continue those little looks to the side and looking at each other and just kind of that throughout the film that you really get the feeling, oh, these feelings are still here.

How did you convince Russell Crowe to do this? Because he’s amazing in it!

Yeah, he’s incredible.

I couldn’t believe what I was watching.

It made sense seeing his name. And I’ve always wanted to work with him or put him in something. He was very close to coming to do this soccer movie, but I couldn’t make the schedule work for him. And we became friends before Love and Thunder. I’d been wanting to work with him and then just came to him while we were in Sydney, came out to his place, and I was like, “Look, mate, I know it’s going to look like we’re just trying to get you to redo the Gladiator role. but this is going to be more fun.”

No, he’s not Maximus in this.

No, there no Maximus in this. I love him in this because I’ve never seen him like this.

You should do a Zeus movie with Russell.

That would be amazing, wouldn’t it?

‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ hit theaters on July 8th. You can contact Mike Ryan directly on Twitter.

O.J. Simpson, Of All People, Is Taking A Stand Against Defunding The Police

O.J. Simpson has tangled with the law on more than one (high-profile) occasion. There was, of course, that mid-1990s double murder trial, in which Simpson famously brandished the above gloves, which his Dream Team alleged were planted by problematic Detective Mark Fuhrman. The incident would lead one to believe that The Juice is not exactly a pro-cop kind of guy. And a subsequently-surfaced interview, in which he meticulously detailed Nicole Brown Simpson’s “hypothetical” murder, would support that chain of thought. And then there’s the fact that O.J. was convicted in 2008 (and served hard time) for 10 charges (ranging from armed robbery to kidnapping).

For the latter set of crimes, O.J. emerged on parole after nine years in prison, and he now spends his days making video rants for “Twitter world.” In his latest installment, he became an unlikely proponent of not defunding the police. There’s no telling why he oddly transitions into talking about the January 6 hearings. Here’s what O.J. had to say about law enforcement and funding in general after an election development:

“In Los Angeles, they voted to defund the Sheriff’s Department. I think that’s all wrong. I spent a little time in one of our institutions, and trust me, we need police. We need the Sheriff’s Department. I’ve always said they should just redirect some of those funds to better training, and I’ve always said [they should be] expanding the IA. The Internal Affairs who investigate the police, but defunding the police as a whole, or the Sheriff’s Department as a whole? No.”

The entire subject of the argument aside, it’s difficult to accept a “trust me” from O.J. Simpson. Yet at least he appears to be staying out of felony territory lately while emerging in bizarre TikTok videos for the masses, and he goes golfing a lot. Alright!

Travis Barker Was Reportedly Hospitalized For Pancreatitis After A Colonoscopy

It was reported yesterday that Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker was hospitalized for an unknown reason. Now, it appears we know more about what happened: TMZ reports that according to “multiple sources connected to the family,” Barker has pancreatitis (an inflammation of the pancreas) and doctors believe it was triggered by a recent colonoscopy.

It seems colonoscopy-induced pancreatitis is at least somewhat rare: In 2011, the Journal Of Hospital Medicine noted, “Complications of a colonoscopy include perforation and bleeding. There are 2 published cases of colonoscopy‐induced pancreatitis in the English‐language literature. It is postulated that colonic manipulation induces trauma to the pancreas because of the anatomic proximity of the pancreas and colon.”

While it’s not clear what type of pancreatitis Barker may have, American Family Physician notes, “Mild acute pancreatitis has a very low mortality rate (less than 1 percent), whereas the death rate for severe acute pancreatitis can be 10 to 30 percent depending on the presence of sterile versus infected necrosis. In the United States, up to 210,000 patients per year are admitted to a hospital for acute pancreatitis.”

Barker’s hospitalization came just hours after he tweeted, “God save me.” The drummer reportedly visited Los Angeles’ West Hills hospital being being transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Barker’s daughter, Alabama Barker, took to social media to write, “Please send your prayers.”

Blink-182 is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

James Harden Could Decline His Player Option And Take Less Money So The Sixers Have ‘A Lot More Financial Flexibility’

Since James Harden joined the Philadelphia 76ers in mid-February, rumors and reports have swirled about the possibility of him taking a pay cut in the immediate future to provide Philadelphia increased financial flexibility. Given the constraints of the Sixers’ cap space, such a decision could considerably broaden their options in free agency, as they look to finally establish themselves as a bona fide title contender behind Harden and Joel Embiid.

Harden owns a $47 million player option for 2022-23 and the deadline to act on it is Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the possibility of Harden declining that option and taking a discount to improve the Sixers’ financial freedom is something entertained by both the star guard and the organization.

“In a perfect world for the Sixers, and I think in James Harden’s mind, opting out of that deal and then negotiating a new contract here when free agency opens, gives the Sixers a lot more financial flexibility to go and improve this team in the offseason,” Wojnarowski said. “He can still get long-term, guaranteed money or certainly guaranteed money at a very high number over a couple of years by opting out and it gives the Sixers the ability to add to their roster.

“They know they’ve gotta get better. James Harden, he has told them he wants to win. He’s committed to winning. And I think there’s a playbook here now for the Sixers and James Harden to work together and find a way to get James Harden a new deal in Philly and improve that roster.”

Wojnarowski added that he believes “Harden’s gonna be in Philly … on a new deal,” one that would allow the Sixers to bolster their roster in free agency and “get better in the East to compete for a championship.”

In 21 games with Philadelphia last season, the All-Star guard averaged 21 points, 10.5 assists, and 7.1 rebounds on 60.1 percent true shooting.

Gucci Mane And Lil Baby’s Unrelenting ‘All Dz Chainz’ Bridges Atlanta’s Generation Gap

As one of the forefathers of Atlanta trap rap, Gucci Mane’s impact on the city’s sound can never be overstated and his legacy is cemented as an ATL icon. But rather than rest on his laurels, Gucci has dedicated the last few years of his career to blessing the city’s future, not reminiscing about his past. He’s given out features to nearly all of Atlanta’s new wave of trap rappers, leaving his fingerprints on multiple generations of Atlanta’s music scene. The latest rapper to receive the Gucci Mane co-sign is Lil Baby, a rapper who arguably doesn’t even need it.

Perhaps that’s what makes their collaboration, the unrelenting “All Dz Chainz,” so special; Lil Baby is his generation’s closest analog to Gucci Mane, a near-universally beloved figure whose status as the unofficial people’s champ is more or less undisputed thanks to a solid run of both personal projects like My Turn, collaborations like Drip Harder and The Voice Of The Heroes, and features with Vince Staples, Future, Polo G, and even Ed Sheeran (just his most recent ones anyway). Gucci and Baby’s powers combine on the track, with both icons feeding on each other’s energy, making for a powerful statement of solidarity for multiple generations of Atlanta hip-hop.

Craft Beer Experts Reveal The Best Summer Beers Of All Time

You want to get the most out of summer 2022. Naturally, that desire includes beer. Picking the best summer beers of all time isn’t an easy task though. There are myriad different styles well-suited for summer drinking and countless breweries to choose from. It’s daunting.

When picking a summer beer, Ty Nash, head brewmaster at Little Dry Creek Brewery in Denver, Colorado focuses on one style.

“Give me a crisp, dry German-style pilsner on a hot summer day or in front of the fire pit in the evening,” he says. “They tend to be refreshing from being dry, crisp, and highly carbonated, quenching even the worst thirst. They are the perfect lawn mower beer.”

Chris Pinns, tasting room manager at Societe Brewing in San Diego believes it’s not the style that’s important, but whether or not it’s easy to drink on a hot day.

“Summer beers for me are all about drinkability,” he notes. “I want something low in alcohol, but not lacking in flavor. Clean, crisp lagers or bright, citrusy session IPAs are my summer go-to beers.”

Now that we have a better idea of how to find them, it’s time to actually figure out which beers we should spend summer 2022 drinking. To do that, we asked a handful of well-known beer experts and brewers to tell us their picks for the best summer beers of all time. Keep scrolling to see all of their selections.

Half Acre Daisy Cutter

Half Acre Daisy Cutter
Half Acre

Daryl Hoedtke, senior brewmaster at Goose Island Beer Co. in Chicago

ABV: 5.2%

Average Price: $9.99 for a four-pack of 16-ounce cans

Why This Beer?

Half Acre Daisy Cutter is my go-to. Clean fermentation with just enough malt and a crisp finish keeps this drinkable in the warm weather. A blend of fresh-cut grass and citrus hop aromas make it great to the last drop.

Lost Coast Great White

Lost Coast Great White
Lost Coast

Jeremy Marshall, brewmaster at Lagunitas Brewing in Petaluma, California

ABV: 4.8%

Average Price: $9.99 for six-pack

Why This Beer?

Lost Coast Great White. It’s not an IPA, and that alone helps it quench thirst, and the inclusion of wheat, orange peel, and spices make it unique since it’s not a witbier per se. I discovered this beer on my first road trip to Northern California twenty-five years ago and I brought a ‘bomber’ of it home to Tennessee to have later. It was so perfect for a super hot and muggy summer day.

Orange Blossom Pilsner

Orange Blossom Pilsner
Orange Blossom

Dan Esperon, owner and brewer at Crazy Dingo Brewing Co in Fort Myers, Florida

ABV: 5.5%

Average Price: $13.99 for a six-pack

Why This Beer?

Orange Blossom Pilsner. Just enough honey flavor to give it a subtle sweetness with a fresh and clean consistent finish. This fruity, sweet pilsner gets its name and added flavor from the addition of orange blossom honey. You can’t go wrong with this beer all summer long.

Zero Gravity Frankie

Zero Gravity Frankie
Zero Gravity

Matt Canning, assistant manager and beer concierge at Hotel Vermont in Burlington, Vermont

ABV: 5.1%

Average Price: $9.99 for a four-pack of 16-ounce cans

Why This Beer?

One of my favorites has to be Zero Gravity Frankie, ‘everyone’s summer crush.’ It’s a refreshing and spritzy little kettle sour with citrus. It’s brewed with citrus and tart cherry to give it a slightly sour, tart. Refreshing flavor perfect for a hot summer day. I sip one any chance I get.

Lagunitas The Waldos

Lagunitas The Waldos
Lagunitas

Eric Espinoza, bartender at Signia by Hilton in San Jose, California

ABV: 11.5%

Average Price: $12.99 for a four-pack of 12-ounce bottles

Why This Beer?

Lagunitas The Waldos is my pick. The Waldos Special Ale is such a special beer. It’s released at the end of April, but it always reminds me that summer is imminent. I stock up on a good handful to kick off the summer months with this big IPA that is still easy-drinking, surprisingly smooth, and tends to be on the sweeter side.

Free State Yakimaniac

Free State Yakimaniac
Free State

Courtney Servaes, owner of Servaes Brewing Company in Kansas City

ABV: 7.5%

Average Price: Limited Availability

Why This Beer?

During the hot summer months, my go-to beer is Yakimaniac from Free State Brewing Company in Lawrence, Kansas. It is a beer that is available all year long, but for some reason, I gravitate toward it in the summer. I don’t drink a ton of American IPAs. I lean more toward New England-style IPAs because they are softer and more approachable, but Yakimaniac is an exception to that rule for me. It features Columbus, Centennial and Citra hops from Yakima Valley and definitely has a hop bitterness that reminds you that this is an American IPA.

Narragansett Fresh Catch

Narragansett Fresh Catch
Narragansett

Justin Tisdale, head brewer at Rejects Brewing Co. in Middletown, Rhode Island

ABV: 4.2%

Average Price: $10.99 for a six-pack of 16-ounce cans

Why This Beer?

I would have to say the Narragansett Fresh Catch. Ever since they recently released this beer, it’s been a solid go-to that has a brilliant balance of citrus and drinkability, that pairs well with most outdoor summer food options. It’s also delicious just by itself.

Haacht Super 8 IPA

Haacht Super 8 IPA
Haacht

Dirk Lindemans, 6th Generation and co-owner of Lindemans Brewery in Vlezenbeek, Belgium

ABV: 6%

Average Price: Limited Availability

Why This Beer?

I love Brouwerij Haacht’s Super 8 IPA. It has a really lovely hop flavor with strong notes of citrus and grapefruit. The brewery doesn’t export much anymore so it’s not as accessible as it once was, so it’s a good one to try if you can find it. It regularly wins medals at many of the world’s top beer competitions, so I’m certainly not alone in my feelings.

3 Sons Ocean Park Pilsner

3 Sons Ocean Park Pilsner
3 Sons

Nancy Lopetegui, taproom general manager at Wynwood Brewing in Miami

ABV: 5%

Average Price: $11.50 for a four-pack of 16-ounce cans

Why This Beer?

Ocean Park Pilsner by 3 Sons Brewing. It’s crispy, refreshing, and crushable. Dry-hopped with Perle and Saaz hops, it’s a thirst-quenching, easy-drinking, citrus-filled, slightly floral, and hoppy beer you’ll want to drink all summer long.

Allagash White

Allagash White
Allagash

Dan Lipke, head brewer at Clown Shoes Beer in Boston

ABV: 5%

Average Price: $12.50 for a six-pack

Why This Beer?

The best summer beer for me is witbier and a fantastic one to try is Allagash White. Light bodied, spritzy carbonation and the classic citrus aromas of coriander and orange peel. Their yeast makes for a more complex witbier than most, it really stands above the rest.

Off Site Super Good Lager

Off Site Super Good Lager
Off Site

Marshall Hendrickson, co-founder and head of operations at Veza Sur Brewing Co. in Miami

ABV: 5.5%

Average Price: Limited Availability

Why This Beer?

Off-Site Super Good Lager. I can’t hype up this beer enough – it’s such a crushable beer, but also very well crafted and balanced. It’ll be my go-to beer this summer. Their nano-brewery has a great vibe as well, with a delicious menu. Rock up to the bar and ask for some Super Good Lager.

Allagash Floating Holiday

Allagash Floating Holiday
Allagash

Mike Kelly, senior brewer at Harpoon Brewery in Boston

ABV: 5.2%

Average Price: Limited Availability

Why This Beer?

Allagash Floating Holiday is a light and citrusy Belgian-style blonde ale. The bright citrus flavor paired with the Belgian phenols makes this beer easy to enjoy a few when the temps go up. Its availability is limited, but definitely buy it if you can find it and enjoy it on a hot summer day.

Miller High Life

Miller High Life
Miller

Mike Jacobs, pub brewery innovation manager at Goose Island Brewhouse in Chicago

ABV: 4.6%

Average Price: $6.50 for a six-pack

Why This Beer?

Miller High Life. The Champagne of Beers is what I think of when I think of summertime cookouts. It has a kiss of corn, low bitterness, high carbonation, and crisp finish that make it easy to put down more than a few. Refreshing, thirst-quenching, and summer in a bottle or can.

Mönchshof Kellerbier

Mönchshof Kellerbier
Mönchshof Kellerbier

Jeff Hancock, co-founder and brewmaster at DC Brau in Washington DC

ABV: 5.4%

Average Price: $5.50 for a 500ml bottle

Why This Beer?

I’m going to go international with this one and will be reaching for a Mönchshof Kellerbier. There are a few spots in DC that carry it, but I’ll travel for this beer. Its pleasantly mild flavor, yeasty nose, and light carbonation always resonate well with my palate during the summer months.

AOC Warns Stephen Colbert That He’s Getting Her In ‘Trouble’ By Asking If She’ll Run For President In 2024

President AOC? It’s theoretically possible.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez dropped by The Late Show on Tuesday to discuss, well, there’s a lot to discuss at the moment. That’s why the congresswoman appeared in three segments. In the first video, AOC discussed the Jan. 6th Committee hearing and that “those who specifically sought pardons for themselves should be expelled from the US House of Representatives,” she told host Stephen Colbert. In the second video, she implored Joe Biden and fellow democrats to expand the Supreme Court and end the filibuster in the Senate, especially in the wake of Roe v. Wade getting overturned. In the third, Colbert asked Ocasio-Cortez whether she would consider running for president.

“You know, I know somebody who’s going to turn 35 about a month before the election in 2024,” he said. “Is that job appealing to you at all? Theoretically.” AOC replied, “I think that we need to focus on keeping a democracy for anybody to be president in the next couple of years and that’s my central focus is helping the people of this country right now.” So, it’s possible? “You’re getting me in trouble,” Ocasio-Cortez said while laughing. “I don’t know about all of that.”

Can you blame her? AOC faces competition from an octogenarian and Howard Stern.

Joe Rogan Is Already Coming Out As A Supporter Of Ron DeSantis In A Potential Matchup Against Biden, Who He Thinks Is Basically A Corpse

Joe Rogan is already backing a candidate in the 2024 presidential election. While referring to Joe Biden as a “dead man as a president,” Rogan told guest Gina Carano that he’s throwing his support behind Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for the way he handled the COVID-19 situation. Rogan, who faced a considerable amount of blowback for his controversial opinions on the pandemic, is unsurprisingly a fan of DeSantis refusing to shut down the state or issue vaccine mandates.

It’s essentially been a free-for-all down in Florida (which routinely made it one of the highest states for COVID cases), and Rogan would like to see that kind of thinking go national. “I mean, what he’s done for Florida has been admirable,” the podcast host told Carano before, once again, dipping into the COVID controversy. Via Mediaite:

“I feel like what he did for Florida, a lot of people gave him a lot of grief, but ultimately he was correct,” Rogan said. “He was correct when it comes to like deaths, he was correct. And when it comes to protecting all vulnerable populations, he was correct in terms of distribution of monoclonal antibodies.”

“He was furious when the government tried to pull those, they were trying to pull very effective treatments. You know, he is not perfect. He’s a human being, but, um, what he’s done is stand up for freedoms,” he continued.

Of course, what Rogan leaves out is that, again, Florida has had significantly high cases of COVID-19 and that’s with allegations that the state has been underreporting data. But Rogan’s adventures in commenting on the pandemic have routinely blown up in his face. After causing music legends like Neil Young and David Crosby to leave Spotify earlier this year, Rogan promised to do better about not spreading misinformation. Hours later, he got caught sharing a debunked article about ivermectin being an effective treatment for COVID. It’s not.

The 1975 Mail Fans Postcards To Reveal Their New Album’s Title And Tracklist

At the top of 2021, The 1975 revealed they were working on a new album. At the top of this month, they teased that a new album is coming soon. Now, they’ve pulled the curtain back further by unveiling a number of new tidbits about the upcoming LP.

Yesterday, the band revealed a single called “Part Of The Band” is coming on July 7 and shared the song’s lyrics. Now, some fans are noting that they’ve received postcards from the group, which unveil the tracklist for the new album, which is called Being Funny In A Foreign Language.

The album seems similar to its predecessor in at least one way — it kicks off with a song titled “The 1975,” as have the rest of the band’s albums — but different in another key metric: it has just 11 tracks. That makes it, in terms of number of songs, the band’s shortest album by far: 2018’s A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships had 15 tracks, while 2020’s Notes On A Conditional Form is the group’s most densely packed LP with 22 tracks.

Find the Being Funny In A Foreign Language tracklist and “Part Of The Band” lyrics below.

1. “The 1975”
2. “Happiness”
3. “Looking For Somebody (To Love)”
4. “Part Of The Band”
5. “Oh Caroline”
6. “I’m In Love With You”
7. “All I Need To Hear”
8. “Wintering”
9. “Human Too”
10. “About You”
11. “When We Are Together”

“She was part of the airforce
I was part of the band
I always used to bust into her hand
In my imagination
I was living my best life
Living with my parents
Way before the paying penance and verbal propellants
And my cancellations

And I fell in love with a boy,
it was kinda lame
I was Rimbaud and he was Paul Verlaine
In my imagination
So many cringes in the heroin binges,
I was coming off the hinges,
Living on the fringes of my imagination

Enough about me now
‘You gotta talk about the people baby’

Now I’m at home — somewhere I don’t like
Eating stuff off of motorbikes
Coming to her lookalikes

I can’t get the language right
Just tell me what’s unladylike

I know some Vaccinista tote bag chic baristas sitting in east on their communista keisters writing about their ejaculations

I like my men like I like my coffee – full of soy milk and so sweet it won’t offend anybody whilst staining the pages of The Nation

A Xanax and a Newport
‘I take care of my kids’ she said

The worst of inside of us begets that feeling on the internet
It’s like someone intended it
A diamond in the rough begets the diamond with a scruff you get

Am I ironically woke? The butt of my joke? Or I am just some post-coke, average, skinny bloke calling his ego imagination?

I’ve not picked up that in 1,400 days and 9 hours and 16 minutes babe – it’s kind of my daily iteration.”
