Ray Vaughn And Isaiah Rashad Are In The ‘Dawg House’ In Their New Video

Top Dawg Entertainment’s Ray Vaughn and Isaiah Rashad have teamed up for a new song called “Dawg House.” On the track, the labelmates slide over trippy production by Rory Behr, as they lay down the laws of the “dawg house.”

“Who let the dogs out? / Turn the rap game to the fallout / Cheat on my b*tch in the dog house / My Rollie presidential from the White House,” raps Vaughn.

Rashad delivers a verse of his own, as well as the song’s chorus, on which, he says, “Loose, better not shoot no shame / My sixteen was pure cocaine / Base outside, I’m hit, okay, okay, okay? / What you gotta do? Get all this loot / Talk my shit, talk my truth.”

The song’s accompanying video sees the two of them smoking and dancing throughout the rooms of a lavish home.

Vaughn signed to TDE last year. With Kendrick Lamar having fulfilled his contractual obligations upon the release of Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, Vaughn told Billboard that he’s determined to prove that he can stand among his labelmates.

“Do I want to be the rookie that takes lead of the team and becomes the face of the franchise? Or do I want somebody else to come in and do it?,” Vaughn said. ” I feel like I’m responsible for taking us to the next level now — and even if [Kendrick Lamar] was staying, I would still have the same mentality, that I want to be a starter and play with the big boys.

A Virginia Tech Football Game Had A Long Delay Because Their Coaches Got Stuck In An Elevator

Things have not gone especially well for the Virginia Tech football program in recent years. Under now-former head coach Justin Fuente, the Hokies saw themselves plummet down the ACC pecking order, leading to Fuente getting canned last season. Now, former Frank Beamer disciple Brent Pry, who earned praise for his job as the defensive coordinator at Penn State for years, has been tasked with taking over in Blacksburg with the hopes of rebuilding.

The Pry era got started on Friday night in a road game against Old Dominion. It wasn’t a pretty half, as Virginia Tech went into the locker room down, 10-7, thanks to this insanely unlucky field goal that saw the snap go way over the holder’s head en route to a Monarchs touchdown.

Getting to the locker room was of the upmost importance for the Hokies. Getting back from the locker room, however, was a bit of an issue for their coaches who went up into the box, as they got stuck in an elevator on their way up there.

As a result, the fine folks at ESPN had to pivot to something else to kill time, so they focused on ODU’s mascot, which is a dog in Crocs.

After a delay of 15 minutes and 20 seconds, the Hokies kicked off to start the second half.

Lil Wayne And Juelz Santana Reunite In The Studio, Seemingly For ‘Tha Carter VI’

Lil Wayne is hard at work in the studio on his upcoming album, Tha Carter VI. As Weezy’s albums always boast iconic collaborations, Tha Carter VI may see him reuniting with one of his longtime collaborators. Yesterday, Juelz Santana shared video clips on Instagram of them two in the studio.

“CARTER 6 In Process…#ICFMF” read the caption.

The #ICFMF hashtag refers to I Can’t Feel My Face joint mixtape the two have been rumored to eventually release since 2007. Despite 15 years of delays, Santana spoke to TMZ back in July and shared that he still believes the mixtape will see the light of day.

“All I’ma say is Wayne is my brother,” he said. “We are never not working on music outside of each other, as well as together, so for us to do a I Can’t Feel My Face project is definitely not unlikely to happen.”

Over the years, Santana and Weezy have collaborated several times, on songs like “Make It Work For You,” from Santana’s 2005 album, What The Game’s Been Missing! and “You Ain’t Got Nuthin’” from Wayne’s 2008 album, Tha Carter III.

As of now, Wayne has not teased a projected release date for the sixth installment of his Tha Carter series.

People share their most ‘interesting’ roommate stories, and some are just plain wild

Almost everyone past college age has lived with a roommate at least once. Whether that experience plays out like a buddy comedy, a rom-com or, in some cases, a horror story, it likely leaves a lasting memory.

Roommates often expose us to lifestyles outside of our own comfort zone. That can often be a good thing—it’s healthy to open ourselves up to new interests. Other times … well, not so much. Especially when that comes to differing expectations of cleanliness, incoming guests, sleep times, paying bills, having pets … you get the picture.

Having a roommate can also be a person’s first foray into having to share space with another person, especially for those who didn’t grow up with siblings. Happy only child here—I can say firsthand that this was quite an uncomfortable adjustment. Like, how do you just sit on the couch questioning your life choices while ANOTHER person sits there? No one can live like that, I tell you.

Reddit user u/chee-koo asked folks to share their most “interesting” roommate stories, and some were just too good not to pass along. The best part is that many answers were surprisingly wholesome. And hey, even the most outrageous stories were, in their own way, kind of relatable.

Having a roommate can be one of life’s more awkward adventures, but it’s a fairly universal one. They always come with unexpected surprises. But if we’re lucky, it’ll make for a great story.

Enjoy 11 of the most “interesting” roomie stories Reddit had to offer:

1.

“My South Korean roommate in college played StarCraft welllll into the night. It cured my insomnia. Listening to a game in a language I didn’t understand was very soothing, apparently, and I went from taking 3-4 hours a night to fall asleep (if I would at all) to falling asleep within 30 seconds of laying my head down.” – @truthinlies

2.

My roommate once created a whole new life form by leaving beans in the fridge until they molded so bad they became pure white. Then she got mad when I threw it away because she was going to use it later.” – @Shadowo948

3.

My roommate in college claimed he was involved with the mafia. He was constantly sweaty, was very jumpy, and always had a lot of cash in his car. He never was around on the weekends, and I never saw him drink. Strangest of all, is that he never once slept in his room. He was always on the couch by the door. He eventually told me that it was because if someone ever broke in looking for him, he wanted ‘them’ to find him right away, so no one else would get hurt. I still don’t know if he was telling the truth but nonetheless I ALWAYS locked my bedroom door at night.” – @DrLandingStrip

4.

I had to teach someone what an acceptable price for everyday groceries are. She had never done a day of grocery shopping in her life and I was astonished when she came back with a relatively smallish loaf of bread that cost over £7 and she thought that was a reasonable price, among other things such as gourmet beef etc. She spent around £80-90 for her first week of food shopping for herself at uni, and complained to me about how it didn’t look like her maintenance loans were going to cover her food shopping. Nowadays she is better at getting deals for food than I am.” – @TinralRogue

5.

My freshman year college roommate was a random pairing. This kid partied all night and slept all day. He goes MIA for like a week. I call my mom because I’m not sure he’s even alive. She searches to see if he has been arrested. Before she can call me back the cops are knocking at our door and ask ‘have you seen ___’ and I say’no’. Mom calls me back a few minutes later, he had been booked for robbery at a convenience store which was in our dorm building! He tried to hide in an air vent…he made the front page of the campus newspaper, was expelled and I got the whole dorm to myself for the rest of the fall & spring semester.” – @Rich_2

6.

“I married my Craigslist roommate! We met 11 years ago, have lived together since the day we met, and finally got married a year ago. And we’re just as in love as we were in 2012. How’s that for positive!?” – @sagelface

how to find a roommate

7.

“I had a roommate that became very… susceptible to suggestions when he would first fall asleep. And he wouldn’t remember anything he did the next morning. One time, we woke him up and told him that his girlfriend had stolen his shoes. He jumped out of bed, went to the landline phone (yeah, I was in college 20 years ago), called up his girlfriend and accused her of stealing his shoes. We were all dying laughing at this time. She blew him off, and after he hung up, he went into the kitchen. When he came back, he was holding two brownies, and had the saddest look on his face. ‘Look, my girlfriend burnt up my shoes. I’ll never be able to wear them again.’ He placed them next to his bed, and then went back to sleep.” – @WalmartGreder

8.

“We met when we showed up for dorm room assignments our freshman year of college. Almost 50 years later, we’re still the closest of friends. I recently attended his daughter’s wedding. A grand affair, because he happens to be uber-wealthy. At one point I found myself choking up, and it wasn’t for the bride and groom, it was for John and me. How far we’ve come from that first awkward handshake a half century ago.” – @Scrappy_Larue

9.

I’m pretty sure I used to live with a hobbit. Man about 5’1″, curly brown hair, constantly cheerful demeanor. Never wore shoes, inside or out. Literally slept on the floor in what can only be explained as a nest of blankets. Started a garden and encouraged me to eat his tomatoes all the time. Would bring home samosas and other goodies, always giving me half just because. He and his wife had a dream of living off the grid in a tiny home on a truck.” – @Opposite_Lettuce

roommate advice

10.

“One of my roommates used to sleepwalk and sleep talk almost every night and I was the only one who’d be awake whenever it would happen. I’d witness her cleaning our fridge, stealing our opened bag of chips, and I’d hear her quote Shakespeare in her sleep. Whenever I ask her if she recalled any of it, the answer was always ‘no.’” – @bbbonjh3ng

11.

“I once had a roommate for about 5 years who was literally (not figuratively) a genius and also an insanely good person. She built a 3D printer from scratch in our living room before 3D printers were a thing anyone could purchase, and she did it just for lolz. She also built a ‘Hackintosh’ for me because I needed more bandwidth/ space/ whatever, than what Apple, Inc. offered. She also made traditional bagels from scratch…and the best m*therfucking cheesecake I have ever tasted in my whole entire life (also from scratch). She is a unicorn, and we are still the best of friends, though we no longer live together. I have absolutely no regrets. If people still exchanged friendship bracelets or rings, the gems I would put on hers could be captured photogenically via satellites from deep space. This Earth, universe etc. doesn’t deserve her. Not sure what dimension does, honestly. I am just proud to call her friend.” – @Channon-Yarrow

News anchor has the best reaction to swallowing a fly on live TV

As the saying goes, “the show must go on.” That goes for accidentally swallowing an insect on live television.

Just ask Canada’s Global News anchor Farah Nasser, who’s awkward blip became a viral sensation on Twitter.

The video clip, which has been viewed more than 100,000 times, shows the journalist trying her best to persevere through a serious report on Pakistan’s devastating monsoons after something clearly gets caught in her throat.

The amount of struggle in her voice and on her face was palpable, but the fly—not so much. Though the fly wasn’t visible on screen, Nasser shared in an interview with CNN “I could feel it fluttering in the back of my throat.”

But still, the flying insect was no match for Nasser’s resolve! Giving Entertainment Tonight the recap, she thought to herself “not today fly” and made it through her segment like a pro.

Speaking of pros, the comments to this video were simply exquisite.

One person, clearly fond of puns, wrote “I knew something was BUGGING me about your coverage of that story but I didn’t have time to INSECT it further. You handled it like a pro, especially since you were LARVE on TV.”

10/10. No notes.

Though the clip has been getting a lot of laughs online, Nasser knew to remain sensitive, writing in her caption that the situation was “very much a first world problem given the story I’m introducing.”

Still, she thought the moment was an opportunity to add a bit of levity to the often dreary headlines, telling ET “news is so heavy so it’s really nice to just give people a laugh—even if it’s at my expense.”

You never really know what life is gonna throw at you. Sometimes you just gotta take a gulp and hope for the best.

Ryan Reynolds shared how his three brothers ‘saved’ him when he secretly got his ear pierced

In some families, getting an earring when you’re young is no big deal, but in others it’s a big no-no. Some people have feelings about body-altering choices wrapped up in beliefs about age-appropriateness, assumptions or judgments about what certain choices mean or simply old-fashioned norms and expectations.

For whatever reason, Ryan Reynolds’ dad was not a fan of him getting an earring at age 12. But that didn’t stop him from doing it.

Reynolds shared the story about how his brothers unexpectedly saved him from his dad’s wrath over his getting an earring on David Letterman’s “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.” In typical Ryan Reynolds’ fashion, it’s a funny story, but also super heartwarming.

Reynolds explained that he had a rebellious period when he was about 12 years old and decided to get an earring for reasons he can’t really recall. “I don’t know. Wham! was big,” he told Letterman.

“My brothers said, ‘You’re gonna die. You’re gonna show up at dinner tonight and there will be a messy stabbing death because Dad will take one of the utensils and stab you,'” Reynolds said.

Nonetheless, he and his friend went to “Sears or wherever the hell you go” to get the piercing, his friend’s mom signed the consent form (bold move, friend’s mom) and the deed was done.

“I remember my face being so flush with blood and heat thinking about this impending disaster that was about to happen,” he said, “and also really kind of rooting and sitting in that rebellion of the moment, too, like I’m doing something for me, I’m standing up to this.”

He got to the dinner table, anxious and sweating, and could feel his dad’s gaze. Then his dad uttered some kind of swear word (something like “you f*@ks,'” he said) and when Reynolds looked up he saw what his three brothers had done for him.

“It was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen in my life,” he said.

Cardi B Shared Photos From When She Was In High School And Says, ‘I Wasn’t Emo!’

Cardi B has a hot and cold relationship with social media and Twitter in particular. Back in April, she left the platform for two weeks because fans were harassing her for skipping the Grammys. You have to wonder why a big name celebrity like the “I Like It” singer spends their time engaging with trolls and shifty fans. But when she does, it’s typically gold. And for the most part, Cardi is just trying to have some fun. So when she posted a series of photos from her high school days in The Bronx yesterday, some fans were having some fun with her.

“Ghetto teenager……fun fact -The emo kids in school were actually really cool and will give me free cigarettes,” she wrote along with four photos from her as a high schooler. One photo focused on her eyebrow piercing, in another she was lighting a cigarette in another, and on the last one, she was holding a vodka bottle looking, well…sorta emo.

One user definitely thought Cardi was the emo kid herself and let her know, saying, “Idky the last pic got me screaming. Emo Cardi was deep in that sh*t.”

Cardi B got defensive, but she clearly was having a good time with it. “I wasn’t EMO ….I was pierced cause Piercings was a big thing in the Bronx specially since this was the side lip piercing era,” she tweeted. “However they were a lot of emo kids in my school I will have history convos wit them while they give me free cigarettes [cry laughing emoji].”

So you be the judge. Was Cardi B an emo kid in high school? If her thoughts on My Chemical Romance are any indication, then this case is closed.

Donovan Mitchell Said Goodbye To Utah On Instagram

Donovan Mitchell is no longer a member of the Utah Jazz. After an entire offseason of wondering whether or not Mitchell would join Rudy Gobert in getting a move out of Utah, the Cleveland Cavaliers swooped in on Thursday afternoon and pulled off a deal to bring Mitchell to the Eastern Conference.

The future for the Cavs looks awfully bright — Mitchell and Darius Garland immediately become one of the best offensive backcourt duos in all of basketball, and while they have their defensive shortcomings, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen are both quite good at cleaning up messes at the rim. But before Mitchell starts life in northeast Ohio, the All-Star guard took a moment on Friday night to thank Utah and former head coach Quin Snyder on his Instagram account.

“Thank you for the memories and the incredible times… you guys watched me grow up on and off the floor… Coach Quin thank you for giving me the opportunity and trusting me to lead this team for the past 5 years‼ Love,” Mitchell wrote in the caption.

The Jazz selected Mitchell with the No. 13 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft out of Louisville. Almost immediately, Mitchell established himself as the team’s most dangerous player on the offensive end of the floor, as he averaged 23.9 points per game across the entirety of his tenure with the team.

How Much Did Cardi B Make From OnlyFans?

Anticipation is high for Cardi B’s sophomore album. But while she’s only put out one single this year, Cardi has been securing the bag. According to a report by research publisher Statista, Cardi pulled in an average of $9.3 million per month on OnlyFans in 2021.

If these numbers are correct, this means Cardi earned about $112 million last year solely by way of OnlyFans.

Although OnlyFans has become a platform for creators to share explicit images and videos, Cardi offers Q&A sessions and personal life updates, holding up her “Bodak Yellow” line, “I don’t dance now, I make money moves.” On OnlyFans, Cardi only charges fans a fee of $4.99 per month. When she realized that the platform was charging her subscribers $10.99 per month, she decided to lower it, citing the loyalty of her fans as the main reason.

“Ya spend too much on vinyls and my merch,” she said in a tweet.

Cardi launched her OnlyFans in August of 2020, following the release of her Megan Thee Stallion collaboration, “WAP.” One of the first pieces of content she shared was a behind-the-scenes clip of the making of the buzzy video.

Report: Lonzo Ball Is Doubtful To Start The Season Due To ‘Lingering Pain And Discomfort’ In His Knee

It’s been quite a while since we’ve seen Lonzo Ball play basketball. Ball needed surgery on his left meniscus back in January, and in the months since, every update has seemed to be increasingly pessimistic. Back in July, Bulls vice president Artūras Karnišovas gave a less-than-stellar quote about his recovery, saying that while Ball is progressing, it’s “probably not at the speed that we would like.”

Karnišovas likewise said that the team hoped Ball would be ready for training camp, but a new report by Jamal Collier and Ramona Shelburne of ESPN indicates that probably won’t be able to go by then or the start of the regular season, as the former No. 2 overall pick continues to deal with “lingering pain and discomfort.”

While a source reiterated that Ball’s knee is structurally sound after he underwent arthroscopic surgery on Jan. 28, he continued to experience pain while attempting basketball activities as he spent the summer rehabbing in Los Angeles.

Ball will arrive in Chicago next week to undergo further evaluation by the team, but he is unlikely to participate when the Bulls begin training camp at the end of this month, sources said.

While the original plan was for Ball to miss 6-8 weeks in the aftermath of his surgery, the team eventually had to shut him down for the remainder of the 2021-22 campaign.
