Harry Styles And Florence Pugh Connect For A Creepy New Song From ‘Don’t Worry Darling’

Don’t Worry Darling (that movie surrounded by all the Florence Pugh/Olivia Wilde/Harry Styles/Chris Pine/Shia Labeouf drama) is out today (September 23) and so too is its soundtrack. To the OST, Styles contributed a creepy new song called “With You All The Time,” on which Pugh sings and Styles plays piano. The song marks Styles’ first collaboration as a solo artist since his One Direction days.

In a recent Variety interview, Styles said of the track, “I wanted something that could be both sweet and creepy, entirely dependent on the context. I remember first playing it on the piano, and it had a sort of homemade nursery rhyme feel to it. Applied to the different moments in the film, I think it takes on a couple of different lives — I hope.”

Wilde also said, “In prep, Harry called me and said, ‘What’s the trigger song? Like, what’s the melody?’ I said, ‘I don’t know. I’m going to different writers to write it. Do you have anything in mind?’ And he said, ‘I’ll think about it.’ Five minutes later, he sent me a demo from his piano, and it was what ended up in the film. He called me and said, ‘What about this?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s it. That’s it. And that’s really insane that you did that in five minutes.’”

Taylor Swift Will Have Her First-Ever Song Title With A Swear In It On ‘Midnights’

While new songs come out every day that have swear/curse words in their titles, that’s not as common with Taylor Swift’s music. In fact, across her discography, she has never released a song that has a swear in its name. (That’s not to say she doesn’t swear in her music; Evermore was actually her most profane album to date.) That will all change with the release of Midnights, though, as Swift has revealed it will feature her first-ever explicit song title.

In a new series of TikTok videos dubbed “Midnights Mayhem With Me,” Swift has been gradually revealing the tracklist of the upcoming album. She previously unveiled “Mastermind” a few days ago, and in her latest video shared last night (September 22), she revealed that the album’s eighth track is called “Vigilante Sh*t.”

Meanwhile, Folklore previously featured Swift’s first use of the word “f*ck” in a song. She was later asked how it felt to have the word on a track and she replied simply, “F*cking fantastic.”

Swift previously described the new album, “This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams. The floors we pace and the demons we face. For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching — hoping that just maybe, when the clock strikes twelve … We’ll meet ourselves.”

Midnights is out 10/21 via Republic. Pre-order it here.

Cardi B Joins Glorilla On The Boastful Bar Fest ‘Tomorrow 2’

Cardi B gave GloRilla her biggest music moment yet by joining her on the remix to “Tomorrow,” from CMG’s compilation album Gangsta Art, titled “Tomorrow 2.” The two rappers are very dismissive of their haters on this record, but make plenty of time to brag about all of their high qualities.

GloRilla opens the record with the lines “Poppin’ sh*t, you would think I went to school for chiropractor / Lookin’ good as hell today, just sent my n**** five attachments / Why would you confront me about a n****? Man, you b*tches backwards / They come at me ’bout n****s I don’t even find attractive.”

Cardi jumps in later with fury, spitting “Ridin’ with my twin and nem, and we all on / She say she my opp but I don’t know her, had to look her up / I know that I’m rich but I can’t help it, b*tch, I’m hood as fuck / I’ve been on these b*tches necks so long, sometimes my foot get stuck.”

“Tomorrow 2,” announced Wednesday (September 21) follows a string of successes for GloRilla. The rapper signed with CMG after the success of her summer smash “FNF” with Hitkidd, which later received a remix featuring Latto and JT, one-half of the City Girls.

Cardi B has had an active 2022, with her most recent offering coming in the form of “Hot Sh*t” with Kanye West and Lil Durk. The Bronx artist appeared on B-Lovee’s “Shake It” alongside Dougie B and Bory300, as well as the extended version of Summer Walker’s “No Love” alongside SZA. Her feature run dates back to around her smash single “Up” in 2021, following that up with Migos’s “Type Sh*t,” Normani’s “Wild Side,” and Lizzo’s “Rumors.”

Lil Baby And Tears For Fears Share The 2022 World Cup Budweiser Anthem ‘The World Is Yours To Take’

Lil Baby has inarguably reached the biggest milestone in his career as he has released the official, Budweiser-sponsored 2022 World Cup anthem “The World Is Yours To Take” alongside Tears For Fears. This track will appear with multiple others on the official World Cup soundtrack.

The My Turn rapper kicks the record off, spitting “I’m by far one of the hardest workers / Real firm believer in practice makes perfect / You can gather all the water, stay thirsty / Took a lot to get us here, we broke curses.” The rapper also reflects on the effects COVID-19 had on the country, but celebrates that everyone is back outside winning.

Tears For Fears comes in the refrain, singing “Everybody wants to rule the world” repeatedly as Baby ad-libs in between each line.

“The World Is Yours To Take” follows a highly active year for Lil Baby. The Atlanta rapper shared “Detox” earlier this month and appeared twice on DJ Khaled’s 13th studio album God Did, namely the lead single “Staying Alive” with Drake and “Big Time” with Future. The “Freestyle” artist also joined forces with Nav and Travis Scott on “Never Sleep,” the lead single from Nav’s latest album Demons Protected By Angels. At the top of the year, he and Nicki Minaj released back-to-back collaborations with “Do We Have A Problem?” followed by “Bussin.”

As for Tears For Fears, they released “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” and a sped-up version of the record in August. The band shared their latest album The Tipping Point back in February after a nearly two-year hiatus since the “super deluxe” version of The Seeds Of Love came out.

Given Tears For Fears’s skin in the game dating back to the 1980s and Lil Baby arguably being in his prime today, this is literally a collaboration for the ages.

Giveon Shares The Drake-Assisted Single ‘Time’ From The ‘Amsterdam’ Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

Giveon is back with his new single “Time,” which is set to appear in the original motion picture soundtrack for Amsterdam. Amsterdam hits theaters on October 7 and this track builds quite the momentum as it features songwriting from Drake and Daniel Pemberton plus production from Pemberton and Jahaan Sweet.

“Time” falls right into Giveon’s typical, downtempo pocket. The Long Beach artist croons to a woman, expressing his appreciation for the moments they spent together. “The time when things were better / Will stay for as long as I can remember / So much that I have done has withered away / But never these memories I cherish today.”

“Time” follows Giveon’s debut studio album Give Or Take which was released back in June. Give Or Take was led by the singles “For Tonight” and “Lie Again.” The year prior he appeared on “In The Bible” alongside Lil Durk from Drake’s album Certified Lover Boy and “Peaches” alongside Daniel Caesar from Justin Bieber’s Justice in addition to releasing the compilation project When It’s All Said And Done…Take Time, which is made up of his two 2020 EPs.

With Grammy nominations and BET Awards performances under his belt, the sky is the limit and, much like the new track he released, “Time” is of the essence for Giveon. He simply doesn’t want the good memories to fade away as he progresses.

Khalid Grooves Into Love On His New Single, ‘Satellite’

Khalid is keeping his fans fed. Just weeks after performing his Marshmello collab, “Numb,” at the MTV Video Music Awards, the El Paso native is back with another banger.

His latest, “Satellite,” is a hypnotic, ’80s-inspired anthem driven by synths and drums, as he delights in his infatuation for a new flame.

“La, da-da / We’re walking on a line / A line that leads me straight, straight, straight to you / You’re like a satellite / Crossing through my mind / It always leads me straight, straight, straight to you,” he sings on the song’s chorus.

While Khalid hasn’t shared much about a new album yet, he detailed his next era in an Instagram post announcing “Satellite” earlier this month.

“I’m having so much fun with music lately and I can’t wait for you guys to join me on this journey,” he said in the post’s caption. “Every day is a step towards me evolving as an artist, but this one right here…it feels special. I hold this dear to my heart! thank you guys for always holding me down.”

Last month, he teased the song’s music video in a tweet, saying, “I’m shooting my favorite video ever right now and I’m so excited.”

Big Sean Joins Quinn XCII On His New Heartfelt Bop ‘Common’

Big Sean is no stranger to the pop world, having collaborated with a few major names over the course of his career. Thus, it makes sense his appearance on Quinn XCII’s new track “Common” feels so seamless.

Quinn opens the record singing “You, you and me/ Go together so perfectly / And this don’t happen often / We got so much in common.”

Sean joins the record later, rapping “And I just got to say thank you / Cause life changed everything and it ain’t change you / Even when I think the world’s workin’ against me / You take the time to tell me ‘Sean, you know that ain’t true.”

Big Sean hasn’t been too active on the music end in 2022. While he did share the deluxe version of 2020’s Detroit 2 this week and finally got his classic mixtape Detroit on all streaming services earlier this month, he has only shared a few new raps by way of Queen Naija’s “Hate Our Love” and Ellie Goulding’s “Easy Lover.” Last year, he partnered with his frequent collaborator Hit-Boy on the EP What You Expect which featured Bryson Tiller, Lil Durk, Babyface Ray, and 42 Dugg.

As for Quinn XCII, he shared the single “Backpack” last month but has been quiet on the original music end. In terms of features, he appeared on NOTD’s “Less I Know” from this month’s Noted…EP. Back in May, he jumped on Ayokay’s “Less Alone” from his album Digital Dreamscape.

Needless to say, this was a well-timed release for both artists. A heartfelt tribute to their lovers and a gift to their fans.

Yung Gravy, Rich Brian, And Bbno$ Live Their Best Lives On Their New Song, ‘C’est La Vie’

Set in his braggadocious ways, Yung Gravy is joined by fellow party boys Rich Brian and Bbno$ on his latest single, “C’est La Vie.” The synth-and-drum-infused anthem features the three embracing a debaucherous lifestyle and sharing stories about their nights out fueled by drinking and sexcapades.

“B*tch, I’m 21 but I still walk around with fake ID / Cuddle with the homies watching Stand By Me / This d*ck ain’t free, baby, pay my fee / Let me live my life, baby, c’est la vie,” all three rap-sing on the chorus.

Gravy pops in on the first verse, rapping “Double cup, ain’t no lean / Only sip syrup when I’m with Chief Keef / Play clean, pipe Christine /I pipe correct, I’m so P.C.”

Swooping in on the second verse is Brian. While Brian doesn’t drink, he is at the party in search of someone to take home.

“Gotta girl with me and we pop in the kitchen / D*ck all hard and my nuts on a mission,” he raps.

Far from shy, Bbno$ vouches for himself and his friends, rapping, “Pulled up on da booty, yeah we some pilots / I don’t know why we got huge privates / I guess we kind of blessed, I can’t complain about it.”

And these are perhaps the cleanest lyrics in the song.

Odell Beckham Jr. Couldn’t Believe George Pickens’ ‘Filthy’ Catch Against The Browns

After a slow start on both sides, the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers produced some fireworks in the first half on Thursday evening. The two teams settled in with a 14-13 mark on the scoreboard by halftime but, while Cleveland made some interesting plays, nothing held a candle to the show-stopping highlight produced by Steelers rookie George Pickens with an obscene, one-handed catch.

Immediately, NFL observers were weighing in and attempting to rank Pickens’ catch among the all-time greats, with inevitable comparisons to the now-legendary catch made by Odell Beckham Jr. against the Dallas Cowboys in 2014. That led to the official Twitter account of Sunday Night Football on NBC putting the plays side-by-side for all to see.

Shortly after, Beckham Jr. joined the discussion with praise of Pickens’ work. He called the catch “filthy” and used the time-honored method of all-caps for emphasis.

Pickens’ play did not end in a touchdown and, by nature of its placement on Thursday night and in a game not involving the Cowboys, it probably did not have the same amount of live attention as what Beckham Jr. did. Still, it was an utterly fantastic catch by a multi-talented rookie from a blue blood college program (Georgia), and Beckham Jr.’s seal of approval means a great deal in this context.
