For God Knows What Reason, Dr. Oz Held A Campaign Event In Front Of Hitler’s Car

To say Dr. Oz‘s Pennsylvania senate campaign is a disaster would be an understatement at this point. The TV doctor has been routinely humiliated by his opponent, John Fetterman, which has been pretty easy to do. Like Ted Cruz, Oz is a walking self-own machine, and he can’t help but blunder into situations that really make it seem like his campaign staff hates him. (It probably doesn’t help that Oz has no problem throwing them under the bus.)

This time around, Oz attended a fundraising event in California, which is about as far away from Pennsylvania as it gets. But that’s not the unusual part. The unusual part is that Oz regaled a Republican crowd at the Lyon Air Museum while Adolf Hitler’s actual car sat in the background. You cannot make this up. Via Jezebel:

Photos from the event, of course, surfaced on social media, and Twitter user Larry Tenney shared a screenshot from Instagram stories showing Oz standing on a small podium next to a TV monitor showing the logo for the National Republican Senatorial Committee and a hashtag #TheOzShow. Jezebel confirmed the image as coming from the account of Shane Mitchell, who attended the event. Behind Oz is a dark colored wagon that matches photos on the museum’s website of a 1939 Mercedes-Benz Model G4 Offener Touring Wagon. The museum’s own website says:

“This particular G4, 440875, was originally delivered to Adolph Hitler in late 1939 and was used by the Fuhrer in Ober Salzberg, Berlin and Poland until seized by the French Army at Berchtesgaden.”

Making sure your candidate is not standing in front of Hilter’s car is something most campaigns would look out for, but not Dr. Oz’s. After a week of being blasted for allegedly being involved in medical tests that killed hundreds of dogs, Oz is now kicking off the weekend with everyone dunking on him for standing next to Hitler’s car. It should be impossible for these things to happen, and yet, there’s Dr. Oz’s hapless mug again and again and again.

You can see just some of the Hitler’s car reactions below:

Dua Lipa Discusses Her Relationship Status Amid Rumors That She’s Dating Trevor Noah

After Dua Lipa and Trevor Noah were spotted kissing, headlines and rumors surfaced about whether or not they were a couple. However, in a recent episode of her podcast Dua Lipa: At Your Service, during a chat with Charli XCX, Lipa seemed to clear up the gossip by talking about being single.

“For me, this is the first year I’ve not been in a relationship for a very long time,” the star said. “It’s been really great to just be alone and only think about myself and kind of be quite selfish, which I’ve never really had the opportunity to do.” She didn’t mention Noah by name, but this statement still says a lot.

Earlier this year, Lipa spoke in an interview about her wariness with driving in America. “Being from the UK, it’s hard for me to wrap my head around,” Lipa said. “When I’m in the car with someone in America and they have, like, a little bit of road rage, I’m always like, ‘Don’t do it. You have no idea who that other person is and if they’re carrying a gun.’”

Report: USA Basketball Wants To Make A Run At Joel Embiid And Prevent Him From Playing For France

Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid earned both U.S. and French citizenship, which grants him eligibility to suit up for either country in international play rather than solely his native Cameroon. According to Marc Stein, Embiid, who has never played in a senior-level FIBA circuit, is “eager” to play for a team other than Cameroon and “presumably would love to sample life in the global spotlight on the Olympic stage.”

“Sources say that Embiid has already engaged in discussions with longtime NBA forward Boris Diaw, who serves as the general manager of the French national team, about joining Les Bleus,” Stein wrote.

However, Team USA is making a run at Embiid, according to Stein. Last summer, France and the U.S. met in the Olympic final, with the U.S. narrowly winning, 87-82. During the group stage, France snapped a 25-game Olympic winning streak for the U.S. with a 83-76 victory. The U.S. sits atop the FIBA rankings, while France, who lost to second-ranked Spain in last month’s EuroBasket final, is fifth.

“Keeping Embiid away from France, when it will have homecourt advantage at the next Olympics, is merely just one natural USAB justification for the pursuit. There is likewise the sobering reality that the center position has been a consistent source of vulnerability for the program in recent years,” Stein wrote. “JaVale McGee, for example, was the only recognized center on the Tokyo squad, although Bam Adebayo certainly knows his way around the 5 spot. In slumping to a humbling seventh at the 2019 World Cup in China, Coach Gregg Popovich struggled to generate any reliability out of the Brook Lopez/Mason Plumlee/Myles Turner trio.”

Embiid would be a tremendous addition for either of these squads. He could help propel France to a 2023 World Cup or 2024 Olympics crown — imagine, for a moment, an Embiid/Rudy Gobert/Victor Wembanyama frontcourt — or he could help Team USA bounce back from its seventh-place 2019 World Cup finish and defend its four straight Olympic championships. Regardless, the thought of international teams essentially trying to land Embiid as though he’s a premier NBA free agent is a hilarious concept. Is he fielding meetings in the Hamptons?

Margot Robbie Thinks Lady Gaga Will Do An ‘Incredible’ Job As Harley Quinn In The ‘Joker’ Sequel

It’s simple, really: Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn is not Kaley Cuoco’s Harley Quinn is not Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn is not Kevin Smith’s daughter’s Harley Quinn. They are legally distinct Harley Quinns, but they are looking out for each other. There was never any feud between Robbie and Cuoco after HBO Max’s Harley Quinn premiered, and the Birds of Prey star has given her support to Lady Gaga’s Harley in Joker: Folie à Deux.

“It makes me so happy because I said from the very beginning that all I want is for Harley Quinn to be one of those characters the way, like, Macbeth or Batman always gets passed from great actor to great actor. Someone gets to do their Batman, or someone gets to do their Macbeth,” Robbie told MTV News’ Josh Horowitz when asked about the “Shallow” singer starring in the Joker sequel. She continued:

“I feel like, in not so many cases, are there female characters – Queen Elizabeth I, but beyond that, which I got to have a crack out as well, which I was honored to do. I was like, ‘Wow! Cate Blanchett did Queen Elizabeth I. Now I get to.’ It’s such an honor to have built a foundation strong enough that Harley can now be one of those characters that other actors get to have a go at playing. And I think she’ll do something incredible with it.”

Joker: Folie à Deux also stars Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker, who is not Jared Leto’s Joker who is not Jack Nicholson’s Joker who is not Mark Hamill’s Joker who is not…

Davante Adams On His Reunion With Derek Carr, Raiders Red Zone Woes, And More

Davante Adams has had an eventful year, as the All-Pro receiver left his longtime NFL home in Green Bay for a new opportunity in Las Vegas, linking up with an old friend in the process.

Adams joined forces with his old college quarterback, Derek Carr, in an effort to bring the Raiders up to speed in what was expected to be the league’s most competitive division, the AFC West. Through four games, those two have shown their potential, with Adams racking up 290 yards on 26 catches with three touchdowns. With 242 of those yards coming in two games, consistency is now the focal point for Adams, Carr, and the Raiders offense. They finally got on the board with a win over the Broncos on Sunday after three consecutive single-digit losses to start the season.

Red zone woes have been the story of the Raiders season so far, but Adams is confident they’ll right the ship and start putting 7s on the board instead of 3s soon. We got to talk with the star receiver this week as part of his partnership with Tide for their Lucky Jersey campaign this season, discussing how the Raiders can build off their win, his connection with Carr coming back, red zone adjustments, and his own superstitions.

What’s the vibe in the facility now that you guys are coming off finally getting that first win this week?

I mean, it’s a much better vibe for sure. We’re looking forward to putting together some consistent performances. You know, based off what we’ve done — and I don’t think anybody was too discouraged before — it was just more so disappointed in the outcome of these games. We lost three games by total of I think under 15 points, (ed. note: 13), combined. So we know the type of team that we have, so to pull a game like that off is our standard and now we just got to build on that.

What has the process been like of getting acclimated to a new team and just overall, the team getting acclimated to to a new system and a new coaching staff?

I mean, it’s been about as smooth as it could go. You know, any time you’re changing up and you have a whole new coaching staff learning an entirely new team and you got a new scheme and all of that, it’s a lot of moving pieces and a lot of things that you got to get adjusted to. But with the team that we have and the coaching staff that we have, it’s made it about as easy as it could be for me and I was welcomed with open arms by the squad. And then I’ve had a lot of good conversations with some pretty open and receptive coaches too, which has made the whole experience a lot easier for me, so I’ve enjoyed it.

Obviously you you go way back with Derek Carr and as a receiver, what does that do for you to come in and you know the quarterback and you’ve played with the quarterback and know what he wants out of you in particular?

I mean, any time you got a really good friend throwing you the ball, you guys are both at the height of your careers and you both trust and understand everything that one another is put into this and continues to put into it, it makes sure that your bond is a lot stronger. And you know, the off the field part of it too helps our connection on the field. We spend a lot of time together, families know each other really well. So I mean, that part’s gone about as smooth as it can go, and it’s never gonna be easy because we haven’t played together in almost 10 years now, so we still getting back to .. or getting to a point that we’re really are happy with. And I think we’ve shown flashes of that now, but you know, it’s never easy so we got to continue to put that work in and keep building.

What is the biggest difference that you see in Derek as a quarterback from when you played with him in college to now as he’s almost a 10 year veteran in the NFL?

A lot of the same, honestly, which says a lot in a good way about him. Him as a leader, him and the way he attacks his job, the intentionality he brings to to the facility every day. He’s one of the first people in and I can respect a guy that you know what you’re going to get from him every day. So from that standpoint, a lot of the same, and I look forward to him continuing that and being the same way that he was, which is a really disciplined, diligent teammate and player. And it’s showing in his game and what he’s been able to accomplish.

I think the one thing that stood out in so far in terms of the area you guys are looking to improve is finishing those drives off in the red zone. You’re moving the ball well, but not getting the touchdowns. What are you guys seeing that can help in that, and the execution points that you need to keep building on going forward?

Football is the most team sport that there is, so it comes down to just everybody doing their job and putting it together. We’ve been in the red zone more than any team in the league, so that says a lot about our ability to move the ball, but then just being disciplined in those critical situations. Not having penalties when we start to approach the red zone or their fringe. So, I think the discipline is a big thing. Making sure you execute and lock in on your responsibility so that you know if your job is to protect, you got to protect, and if your job is to catch the ball, you got to make the play in that moment, because everything is tighter down there. There’s less area to defend so it makes it makes it easier for the defense. So you gotta be on top of your stuff.

What was it like shooting this Lucky Jersey campaign with Tide and how did this partnership come about for you?

It was great. Honestly, it was a great experience — one, to be able to meet a lot of the actors out there, spending time with them because it’s a long day for sure. And then being able to meet the winner of the Super Bowl tickets at the end of the year, just to see his response and his reaction once he saw me and they go through the questions. All that was definitely enjoyable. And yeah, I mean, the whole idea of the of the partnership itself is, you know, Tide’s giving away signed jerseys and tickets and cleats in exchange for people washing their lucky jerseys. We obviously know that there’s superstitions around lucky jerseys, but lucky and dirty are two different things. That’s the ultimate thing, we’re trying to get people to get out there and wash those jerseys in exchange for Super Bowl tickets.

Are you particularly superstitious guy or have a really rigid routine you have to stick with?

I got nothing crazy. But, I typically eat the same thing every game day. If it’s an earlier game where we have one meal before the game, I typically the same thing and if it’s a night game, I typically have the same pregame meal that I always do. So I stick to that, but nothing really too spicy or too interesting for me.

What is the pregame meal? What is the go to?

Well, I get a scramble in the morning if we have an early game. Like when I was in Green Bay, we had a lot of early noon games, so typically only get one real meal in before, so I will get a scramble made, which just has mushrooms, bell peppers, cheddar cheese, and bacon, and then I would have some toast and then the same drink, which is a cranapple every morning. And then my dinner will be something a little lighter, just because you have a little food throughout the day, maybe some snacks, so I would do a salmon salad, which is something that my wife started making for me a while ago and that I just kind of kept that going when I got to facility. I think I had it one day, had a big game, and I was like, I’m just gonna keep doing this.

You mentioned you don’t have anything spicy. What’s the craziest superstition you’ve seen from from one of your teammates?

I don’t know. I don’t know if there’s any crazy ones that I know of … yeah, I don’t know. I just know Randall Cobb used to lay his entire outfit out, like you know how people would do in grade school? When you got a new outfit first day of school you lay your outfit out the night before? He would basically lay his whole thing from his helmet to his undershirt to the pants and socks, cleats, everything like it was getting ready to go on a mannequin. So that’s probably one of the ones I’ve seen the more consistent from guys as soon as he get in the locker room, he goes and lays all this stuff out on the ground. Just have it sit there until it’s time to throw it on.

Has Migos Ever Released A Project Without Offset?

Offset is currently suing his former label Quality Control, from his time as a member of the rap trio Migos. Meanwhile, Takeoff and Quavo released a new album today as a duo, under the new name Unc & Phew. Fans are left wondering recently if Migos will ever return for new music. However, the group has released songs without Offset on them before.

Migos’ Back To The Bando mixtape was released on September 2015 during Offset’s eight-month imprisonment on gun charges. The mixtape featured verses from Offset on just two songs (‘Rich N**** Still Trappin” and “Slanging”). This was a year before their 2016 hit “Bad And Boujee.” Still, Migos had been releasing music since 2011, through various mixtapes. Their most recent project as a trio was last year’s Culture III.

“We stand on real deal loyalty, and sometimes that sh*t ain’t displayed,” Quavo said on a recent appearance for the Big Facts podcast. “This ain’t got nothing to do with no label, no paperwork, no QC, nothing. This got something to do with the three brothers. And sh*t, it is what it is. Right now, we gon’ be the duo ’til time tell.”

Quavo’s ‘Messy’ Verse Has Fans Making Connections To Lil Baby And Saweetie Rumors

Quavo and Takeoff’s new album, Only Built For Infinity Links, is out now and while much of the rollout of the album revolved around fan concerns that the two Migos had permanently split from the third member of the trio, Offset, one line from its actual music has become a new source of speculation. On the song “Messy,” Quavo rhymes:

I said, “Caresha, please” (Soo) ’cause she too messy
Bitch fucked my dog behind my back, but I ain’t stressin’
You wanted the gang, you should’ve just said it, we would’ve blessed it

And while he doesn’t name names, fans are pretty sure that the lines are addressed to his former flame, Saweetie, with whom he had a very public and contentious breakup last year. The fact that the lyrics are so vague and the reference to Caresha Please, Yung Miami’s Revolt talk show, on which Saweetie recently appeared, have made it easy for fans to posit that the lyrics are about her. While some were convinced that this meant a recent rumor about Saweetie and Offset was true, since it would explain both breakups, others pointed to another rumored flame of the Bay Area rapper, Lil Baby, as the source of Quavo’s bile.

Although Lil Baby denied the rumor, eagle-eyed gossip hounds sleuthed out an outfit he was photographed in very closely matching that of a mystery man Saweetie posted on her own social media during a shopping date. Quavo’s supposed reaction at the time lends credence to the theory that “Messy” is about Saweetie and Lil Baby, but in all likelihood, Quavo is really doing what plenty of authors and writers have done in the past: Mashed up the circumstances of a few incidents to make them more cinematic, feeding off social media narratives to drive interest (just look at DaBaby’s recent publicity stunt with Megan Thee Stallion). Still, that won’t stop fans from nosing in because nothing sparks social media’s interest like soapy, steamy celebrity rumors. Check out some of the reactions below.

Dan Harmon’s ‘Krapopolis’ Has Already Been Renewed For A Second Season Ahead Of Its Series Premiere

Even though it won’t air until 2023, Fox seems very confident in its new series Krapopolis from Dan Harmon. The network has ordered the upcoming animated comedy for a second season, which seems incredibly ambitious considering the fact that even good shows have been dropping like flies over the last six months. But, to be fair, Dan Harmon is having a moment right now anyway, so maybe Fox made a good move!

Krapopolis features an ensemble cast including Hanna Waddingham, Richard Ayoade, Matt Berry, Pam Murphy and Duncan Trussel. The series is set in mythical ancient Greece, where a dysfunctional family of humans, gods, and monsters that try their hand at running the world’s first cities — without trying to kill each other.” Very similar to Succession!

Fox entertainment president Michael Thorn said that while the move is a bit unprecedented, it’s only going to make the new series live up to the hype even MORE! “As you can imagine, anything Dan Harmon does is unflinchingly irreverent and filled with his signature, bold characters; and these early episodes of Krapopolis far surpass even our highest expectations,” Thorn said. “While we continue to evolve Fox’s animation brand, it’s a true delight watching Dan and his team work their magic on Krapopolis. But it’s an even bigger thrill to be so confident in this special project to be able to reward it with an early renewal.”

The current animation lineup on Fox consists of shows that have been around for over a decade like Family Guy and Bob’s Burgers, and with no end in sight for those shows, it seems like animation is the place to be. For some people, anyway! Maybe not for others.

Justin Quiles Embraces Mexican Music In His ‘La Esquina del Mall’ Featuring Carin León

Justin Quiles dabbles in the regional Mexican music genre for the first time in his “La Esquina Del Mall” video. Mexican singer Carin León features in the Puerto Rican star’s romantic video that was released yesterday (October 6).

Quiles is living the best of both worlds as an artist and a songwriter for other acts. He has amassed a number of hits this past year like “Loco,” which has over 307 million streams on Spotify, and “Colorín, Colorado” with over 133 million streams. Quiles also had a hand in co-writing many global hits like Becky G and Karol G‘s “Mamiii,” Rosalía‘s “Saoko,” and J Balvin and Anitta‘s “Downtown.”

While Quiles is known for making hits for himself and others in the reggaeton music, he branches out of the genre with his single “La Esquina Del Mall.” Alongside León, he embraces elements of regional Mexican music with trap music beats in the mix. Quiles and León take turns serenading the women they’re interested in with sexy lyrics. These two different worlds of Latin music collide for a genre-bending love song.

The music video for “La Esquina del Mall” opens on a funny note with Quiles in an interview with outspoken talk show host Laura Bozzo. After exiting the interview, he laments his broken heart at the bar alongside León. Despite not winning his ex over by the end of the video, Bozzo offers Quiles a playful consolation prize.

Quiles is nominated for two Latin Grammy Awards for his songwriting work. He’s up for Best Urban Song for co-writing “Mamiii” and Album Of the Year for his contributions to Rosalía’s Motomami LP. Quiles’ most recent album La Última Promesa dropped last year.

Justin Quiles is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Drake’s Apollo Theater Show: How To Get Tickets

There’s an argument to be made that Drake and SiriusXM should have scheduled his Apollo Theater debut for “November 18th” instead of November 11, but the more pressing question is whether tickets are available to catch the Toronto icon at the 1,500-seat preeminent Harlem venue.

Drake announced the special show on Wednesday (October 5) with an Instagram post captioned, “Sound 42 link in bio to win tickets.” The link directs to SiriusXM’s landing page for the event that’s just as vague as Drake’s Instagram post.

“Drake will perform at the world-famous Apollo Theater in New York,” it reads. “The exclusive SiriusXM concert marks the first time that Drake will perform at the iconic theater. For a chance to win tickets to this event, scan the QR code to listen to Sound 42 (Ch. 42) on the SXM App anytime from now until 11 p.m. ET on October 26, 2022. Then watch for a pop-up message on how to enter.”

Drake revived OVO Sound Radio by launching his 24-hour SiriusXM station Sound 42 in March 2021. The platform played a big role in this summer’s surprise rollout of Honestly, Nevermind, his seventh studio album. Simultaneous with the album’s release, Drake premiered Table For One, his new radio show, and let fans in on everything he’d been working on.

So, for now, it seems your best bet to witness Drake make history at the Apollo is to mimic his nocturnal nature and listen to Sound 42 at all hours while praying to get a Nike SNKRS-esque “Got ‘Em” notification that you’ve won tickets.
