One of the most continuously fun rhythm games out there is Beat Saber. Available on VR, Beat Saber is where players take virtual sabers and slash at blocks in rhythm with the song that is playing. It’s fun, addictive, and can even get in a good workout if you play it long enough. It also has a steadily increasing list of music for players to add to their libraries including Billie Eilish and Fall Out Boy.

The next to join that roster is going to be pop music icon Lizzo. The Grammy and Emmy winning artist has a music pack coming to Beat Saber that will feature some of her most iconic music. Favorites like “About Damn Time,” “2 Be Loved (Am I Ready),” and “Juice” will be among the roster of nine songs. Each song can be purchased separately for $1.99 or players can buy the entire pack for $11.99. The full list of songs will be:

Elon Musk found himself getting dragged on a global scale when he offered unsolicited advice on how to broker peace between Russia and Ukraine. The proposal was so bad and capitulatory to Russia that a Ukrainian ambassador literally told Musk to “f*ck off,” and now, Lindsey Graham has entered the fray.

The South Carolina is usually on the receiving end of a social media roast, but this time around, Graham called out Musk for suggesting that Ukraine cede territory to Russia to stop the country from going to “full war mobilization.”

“With all due respect to Elon Musk – and I do respect him – I would suggest he needs to understand the facts of the Russian invasion of Ukraine,” Graham tweeted. “Suggesting we end the Russian invasion by simply giving Russia parts of Ukraine – after all the suffering – is dumb. It is also an affront to the bravery of the Ukrainians fighting to defend their homeland.”

Graham went on to school Musk by citing the 1994 Budapest Memorandum, which involved Ukraine giving up its nuclear arsenal in exchange for “assurances their territorial integrity would be protected.” Graham argues that it is incumbent upon Russia not Ukraine to honor that agreement:

It was an agreement signed by Russia that included protecting Crimea and the Donbas as part of Ukraine. If you want peace in Ukraine — which we ALL do — simply demand Russian honor the boundaries they agreed to in 1994 and withdraw their forces. To do otherwise is to legitimize a bait and switch by Russia and a signal to other bad actors to take what you want – by force!

Graham ended his lecture by highlighting the Tesla CEO’s willingness to give Vladimir Putin exactly what he wants. “If Elon Musk and others want the world to continue to be in chaos, then by all means capitulate to Putin and reward his aggression,” Graham said.

Anna Delvey/Sorokin became a hot topic earlier this year when she was the subject of the hit Netflix series Inventing Anna. The show chronicled Delvey’s scamming antics from 2016-2017 when she scammed her friends and peers out of over $275,000 (all with a puzzling accent) all for the sake of being “very VIP.”

Delvey was convicted in May 2019 on eight counts of theft of services and grand larceny, and she was later sent to an ICE immigration center after overstaying her visa. She remained there for most of this year, while Inventing Anna was getting Emmy noms. Now, Delvey is one step closer to freedom and is finally getting released.

“We are extremely gratified by the court’s decision today to release Anna Sorokin,” Sorokin’s lawyer said. “The judge rightfully recognized that Anna is not a danger to the community.” Delvey will have to refrain from using social media for the first 24 hours, so we will not be getting a TikTok of her being released from jail (yet).

While she was in jail, Delvey curated her own art show and is gearing up to release her own NFT, because that’s just where the world is at these days. She has appeared on various podcasts and interviews maintaining her innocence.

Inventing Anna became an unexpected hit for Netflix, though was criticized for stretching the truth a little too far. Still, the fake heiress has continued to insist she did not scam anybody and was never in the wrong. She also has a plethora of marriage proposals waiting for her after her release, so maybe it will work out for her in the end.

Dwight Howard has transitioned into life as a veteran NBA big man nicely. Howard, who is currently an unrestricted free agent, has spent time with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Philadelphia 76ers over the last three seasons, a stretch which has seen him play a ton off the bench and includes him getting his only championship back in 2020.

This is not, however, what Howard wants out of his career right now. Despite the fact that he is going to turn 37 in December, Howard spoke to Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson on their “All The Smoke” podcast and expressed his belief that he’d thrive if given a larger role at this stage in his career. But because he has not been offered that, Howard mentioned that he is considering retiring.

“I wanna play, but at the same, there’s like no teams that wanna really allow me to play,” Howard said at the 7:36 mark of the above video. “That’s how I’ve been feeling from the last situation with the Lakers. I felt like I did enough to help them win a championship to really deserve a spot on the team and a chance to start and get big minutes, and it didn’t happen.

“So, after that, I was like, ‘Man, I don’t wanna have to bust my ass for another whole summer, train three-a-days, go on a crazy diet, do all this sh*t, and then get back to a team and sit on the bench when I can really help somebody win and still play,’” Howard continued. “I ain’t lost a beat, it’s just I sit on the bench, so people don’t see that, teams don’t see that. And it’s been like, ‘Damn, do I wanna just call it quits and do some other stuff or go back at it and show people I still got it?’”

Over the last three years, Howard has appeared in 198 games, but he’s started only 35 and played 17.5 minutes a night. As for what could come next if he calls it a career, Howard has expressed an interest in joining WWE.

Mobile, Alabama isn’t exactly known as a hotbed of hip-hop activity. In fact, only a handful of rappers from Alabama have gained a degree of mainstream success — mostly within the last four or five years. However, there wouldn’t be a Chika, Flo Milli, NoCap, or Yung Bleu without Rich Boy, who rose to prominence in 2006 behind the success of his hit single “Throw Some D’s.” And while he hasn’t quite reached those heights again, he continued to release music through 2015, with his independently released album, Featuring.

Today, his name’s back in the news, but unfortunately, it’s probably not for the reason he might have hoped. According to Mobile’s NBC News affiliate, Mobile Police have arrested Rich Boy, whose real name is Marece Benjamin Richards, and charged him with domestic violence, harassment, and domestic violence assault after an apparent fight with his parents. There isn’t much else to the report besides the charges, but AL.com reports that there is a video circulating on social media purporting to depict a shirtless Rich Boy involved in an altercation. AL.com also speculates that the cause of the confrontation could be a dispute over the collection of a 2008 legal judgment in which a pre-fame incident led to Rich Boy and his brother being ordered to pay $25,000 in compensatory damages and $312,500 in punitive damages to an accountant they allegedly shot at in 2005.

Rich Boy’s royalties had apparently been garnished since then, but less than $30,000 has been paid out despite the interest on the judgement growing more than $500,000. Considering the heyday of “Throw Some D’s” is over 15 years in the rearview, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the song hasn’t generated much revenue in the meantime.

Jamila Woods is back and with new music.

The Chicago singer/poet made waves with her 2019 album Legacy! Legacy!. Later she released the standout 2020 single “SULA (Paperback)” and its follow-up, “SULA (Hardcover).” Woods was relatively quiet after doing a guest spot on Peter CottonTale’s 2021 collab “WYD (You Got Me)” and “Someone (Remix)” with Gabriel Garzón-Montano But now, she’s back, and with a new single called “Boundaries.”

The track was recorded at Complex Studios in LA and produced by BLVK. Woods says the feather-light, silky track will trek through an array of things like the private and shared space in a new relationship and all the risks that come with love.

“‘Boundaries’ is a song about the negotiation between private and shared space in a new relationship, the risk involved in letting someone get close enough to see your rough edges,” Woods said in a recent statement. “I think a lot about the Prentice Hemphill quote, ‘Boundaries are the distance at which I can love you and me simultaneously.’ The song is about learning the difference between erecting boundaries out of fear versus out of love.”

She has not announced an upcoming album or EP, but this should hopefully keep fans satisfied for a while.

Tuesday night’s (October 4) 2022 BET Hip-Hop Awards were about giving flowers to some of the culture’s biggest acts. David Banner, Wu-Tang Clan, Havoc of Mobb Deep, Lil Kim, Dead Prez, Remy Ma, Fat Joe, Three Six Mafia, Lil Flip, Project Pat, and M.O.P. were among the artist honoring their label, Loud Records. Fat Joe also doubled as the event’s host for the night.

During the 11-minute performance, the artists provided a medley of classics like, “Lean Back,” “C.R.E.A.M,” “Stay Fly,” and more. Among the legendary performers were DJ Paul and Juicy J of Three 6 Mafia (however, Eightball & MJG were notably absent).

However, there was a portion that audiences seemed to miss. While the duo was performing their classic song, “Slob On My Knob,” BET cut the feed, according to a tweet from Juicy J.

“I rapped slob on the knob at the hip hop awards, the crowd went crazy, they cut that performance out on tv,” he wrote with smile emojis. “I don’t blame them it’s a filthy song.”

Fans responded to the message with cheeky thoughts of their own, and it sounds like they wanted to see the uncut performance.

“We need the BET uncut version of the awards, lol,” one person wrote. “Kids gotta learn about slobs and knobs someday. Why not from the expert?” another person tweeted.

Earlier this week, Diddy sent the latest jab in the long-running, passive-aggressive friendship/feud between himself and Mase, calling the “Feel So Good” rapper a “fake pastor” and claiming that Mase still owes him $3 million. Appearing on The Breakfast Club, Diddy appeared to take issue with all the artists who’ve accused him of withholding royalties over the years — especially Mase, who has been one of the most vocal former Bad Boy artists regarding his money issues. “Anybody that thinks I owe them something, show me the receipt and you’ll get paid within 24 hours,” he said.

It didn’t take long for Mase to address the comments. After seeing the interview, he posted a video on Instagram (from TikTok) snickering about the outburst and attributing it to Mase recently denying Diddy the opportunity to join him onstage during his 3 Headed Monster Tour with Cam’ron and Jadakiss. “Yo, you see how people act when you don’t let them come on stage and give they fake apology, so they can promote they little wack song,” he said.

Later, he followed up with another audio post addressing Diddy’s comments more specifically and getting personal, citing Diddy’s mom Janice Combs and saying “everything is in your mother name.” “How dare this n**** talk about receipts,” he sneered. “Let’s start with your mother, n****. your mother got the receipts. Everything is in your mother name.” He also pointed out how many of the artists who’d be mostly likely to back him up in this argument aren’t around anymore to do so. “Biggie ain’t here so Big can’t give you no receipts, he dead,” Mase said. “Craig Mack can’t give you no receipts, he dead. Black Rob can’t give you receipts, he dead. And everybody else, you made sign paperwork so they can’t talk about what I’m talking about. I’m the only one with the guts to not sign it, ‘cuz I ain’t need the money. All money ain’t good money, remember that.”

We’ll see what Diddy comes back with, but it seems like they might well be building up to that onstage reconciliation. Time will tell.

Dubbed the Archaeo Brown, this AJ-3 combines premium leather and textured detailing across a brown, maroon, and yellow colorway that exudes autumnal vibes.

Not autumnal enough? This sneaker also sports a plush fleece collar lining. It might not be as sleek and luxurious as the Black Gold, but the detailing is so on point that it makes up for it.

Nike Dunk Low Argon

The Argon, with its multi-shade blue colorway, looks dope, that’s undeniable. But this isn’t any all-blue Dunk, this colorway is downright legendary. Originally released as a highly sought out Japanese exclusive, the Argon is finally getting a US release!

The argon features a smooth leather upper with a plush collar, and a wraparound swoosh with white accents. It’s probably the best Dunk to drop all year.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis can’t be thrilled with the way that his week’s been going. First, he trotted out to survey Hurricane Ian damage, and god only knows what he was thinking while getting dressed (for what was obviously a photo op) because the public dragged him for wearing pristine white boots that looked like they came out of Nancy Sinatra’s costume closet. This distraction (and interruption from actual rescue work) does nothing to help DeSantis (who’s running for reelection and will probably win against Dem. Rep. Charlie Crist) in his obvious quest to eventually run for president. And now, he’s looking humiliated while residents of his own state flocked to Joe Biden and DeSantis slunk by like a pouty emo in the wrong outfit.

DeSantis couldn’t have been thrilled (and right-wing conspiracy theorists would probably agree) for a few reasons: (1) He was in close proximity to the so-called Dark Brandon; (2) A photo captured him looking extremely irritated while Florida residents looked as though they were fawning over Biden. This second aspect proved to be especially telling, given that a Very Florida Man (with a Cracker/Endangered Species t-shirt and everything) was involved and looked thrilled to be talking to the Democratic president.

Yes, Joe Biden simply showed up to do what presidents do, and this happened.

Soon enough, some “Hello darkness my old friend” remarks surfaced, along with mention that “Florida man has ghosted him for Dark Brandon.” This went down on DeSantis’ home turf, which couldn’t have been fun for him.

That wasn’t all, though. Soon enough memes, including Chad vs. Virgin, surfaced.

Is it time to head to Martha’s Vineyard, DeSantis? Too soon.
