The Neighbourhood has been a successful band for a while now — their 2012 single “Sweater Weather” and their 2015 album Wiped Out! were both top-15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 charts, respectively. But, in recent times, singer Jesse Rutherford’s name has been in people’s mouths perhaps more than ever due to his apparent relationship with Billie Eilish. First the two were seen getting intimate in public, then they had paired Halloween costumes, and now Eilish appears to have gone Instagram-official with Rutherford in her latest post.
Eilish’s new post — shared late last night/early today (November 1) — is a gallery of photos and videos from around this Halloween. They’re mostly slice-of-life clips, with one of Rutherford in a clown costume, exclaiming something as others in the room laugh. The gallery concludes with a photo of Eilish in her baby costume and Rutherford in his old man get-up, a look that raised eyebrows when it was first spotted given the age difference between the two (Eilish is 20, Rutherford is 31).
Eilish, meanwhile, has said she’s not eager to publicly discuss her romantic life, noting in 2020, “I definitely want to keep that private. I’ve had relationships and kept them private, and even the ones that I’ve had, and the tiny amount that I’ve let the world see, I regret.”
The 2022 NFL trade deadline has not been lacking for excitement, as a number of star caliber players have been on the move, with various contenders and hopeful contenders trying to bolster their rosters with star talent in preparation of the second half of the season.
On Tuesday afternoon, one of the biggest moves arrived in the form of the Miami Dolphins shipping a first round pick (via San Francisco) to Denver for star edge rusher Bradley Chubb, as the Dolphins look to beef up their pass rush with one of the league’s best, who has 5.5 sacks so far this season.

It’s an interesting move from the Broncos, considering they are a team very much hoping to win-now considering they just paid Russell Wilson a ton of money to be their quarterback, but the reality is they aren’t a team ready to contend this year. As such, they get a first (along with a fourth and running back help in Chase Edmonds) for Chubb (and a fifth) who is entering free agency this offseason and figures to command a massive salary. With Wilson’s contract on the books, Denver apparently didn’t feel they could pay Chubb and address other roster issues, so they move him to Miami, who will likely pay him to stay long-term considering what they gave up to get him, and Chubb will hope to elevate the Dolphins defense which has struggled at times this season.
The Brooklyn Nets apparently have their replacement for Steve Nash all lined up. After it was reported that Brooklyn was interested in potentially bringing suspended Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka on board to take over in the aftermath of Nash’s departure on Tuesday afternoon, multiple reports indicate that a deal will be finalized in the next day or two.
Both Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN and Shams Charania of The Athletic bring word that Brooklyn’s brain trust has made up its mind on Udoka, who served as an assistant coach with the team during Nash’s first year at the helm in 2020-21. Wojnarowski brought word that the Celtics will let Udoka leave for the gig, while Charnia noted that Boston is not expected to ask for any sort of compensation.

After leading the Celtics to the NBA Finals last year, Udoka was suspended indefinitely during the offseason amid allegations of an affair and inappropriate conduct with a staffer. While the team does not have a full-time replacement, Boston has a 4-2 record at this early point in the season under interim head coach Joe Mazzulla.
Brooklyn has gotten out to a 2-5 start to the regular season. Beyond his ties to both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving from his year as an assistant, Udoka worked as an assistant coach for the Philadelphia 76ers during the 2019-20 campaign with Ben Simmons.
After dropping a tiny little teaser last month, HBO Max has unveiled the full trailer for A Christmas Story Christmas. Unlike previous attempts at a sequel over the decades, this project wisely locked down Peter Billingsley to reprise his now iconic role of Ralphie.
This time around, Ralphie has a family of his own, and he’s learning just how much work it took to make the Christmases from his childhood happen. It’s practically a miracle his Old Man (RIP Darren McGavin) didn’t take out the whole family in the process. That said, we’re detecting a surprising lack of BB guns, but giant daggers seem to be very much in play.

A Christmas Story Christmas starts streaming November 17 on HBO Max.
Drake and 21 Savage recently announced their collaboration album, Her Loss. Originally scheduled to release on October 28, it was postponed until November 4, after the album’s main producer, Noah “40” Shebib, contracted COVID. “Our brother @ovo40 got Covid while mixing and mastering the crack so he’s resting up,” Drake shared on Instagram.
The news came as a surprise to fans, after Drake used his music video for “Jimmy Cooks” from his album Honestly, Nevermind to unveil that they’d be collaborating even more. Throughout the years, the duo has appeared in a handful of each other’s songs — including 2021’s “Knife Boy” on Drake’s Certified Lover Boy and 2020’s “Mr. Right Now” on 21 Savage’s Savage Mode II.
As for the features, cover art, and tracklist for Her Loss, it seems to be kept pretty under wraps — with the exception of Noah “40” Shebib doing production. Good news is the album will be out before we know it.
Drake and 21 Savage are promoting it around NYC in a very unique way, though. It finds them on a self-made Vogue cover, with a quote from 21 that reads, “You have to be political,” above the caption, “21 Savage is not holding back.” Both printed copies and poster versions are making their way around the city.
Indie music has grown to include so much. It’s not just music that is released on independent labels but speaks to an aesthetic that deviates from the norm and follows its own weirdo heart. It can come in the form of rock music, pop, or folk. In a sense, it says as much about the people that are drawn to it as it does about the people that make it.

Tigers Jaw — Old Clothes
Last year, Scranton-based emo band Tigers Jaw unveiled their sixth studio album I Won’t Care How You Remember Me, proving that despite the passage of time and some lineup changes they can still shred memorably. Old Clothes, their brand new EP, reinforces that even further with four songs that stay true to their roots. Ben Walsh’s vocals never disappoint; the guitars are urgent; the melodies are infectious; the instrumentals know no bounds, especially on the jittery “Reckless.”
The Backseat Lovers — Waiting To Spill
Waiting To Spill is a complete, overflowing record that’s as cinematic as it is raw. The opener “Silhouette” is a stunning whirlwind that sweeps the listener into a sprawling, sparkling landscape that becomes more expansive and captivating as the songs continue. Whether it’s the haunting piano on “Words I Used” or the folky acoustic guitar on “Snowbank Blues,” every sound is all-encompassing.
Pinkshift — Love Me Forever
After attention-demanding singles and a killer EP, Baltimore’s unruly crew Pinkshift have unleashed Love Me Forever, their relentless debut. The opener “I’m Not Crying You’re Crying” is the perfect primer to their humor-tinged emo-pop that bursts with deep, heavy guitars and theatrical vocals, mimicking 2005 MySpace era bands like My Chemical Romance or Panic! At the Disco.
Show Me The Body — Trouble The Water
It probably wasn’t easy for eclectic, heavy New York group Show Me The Body to follow up 2019’s explosive Dog Whistle, which contained the ruthless “Madonna Rocket” and spellbinding “Arcanum.” However, Trouble The Water takes their ruckus to the next level. Standout track “Using It” showcases the band’s knack for not overstaying their welcome, and packing every second with maximum energy and passion, against headbang-worthy rhythms and mesmeric guitars.
Fanclubwallet — “Roadkill”
Fanclubwallet’s “Roadkill” is an eerie, hypnotic earworm that clocks in at just two minutes. It kicks off with Hannah Judge’s vulnerable vocals against guitar chords that follow her lead but then gradually take over and transform into a chaotic, beautiful wall of a sound like a wave crashing onto shore.
Sour Widows — “I-90”
Sour Widows are known for visceral indie-rock anthems that tug at your heartstrings, and this new song “I-90” is no exception. The harmonies are immediately impactful, as is the immersive instrumental that follows. The words make everything all the more powerful: “And it hurts like / I’m all emptied out / Like the freeway / You keep driving down.”
White Reaper — “Pages”
No matter what White Reaper are doing or saying, they can make it sound anthemic. “Pages” strikes the listener upon the first listen, even if it’s unclear what is going on. The vocals are cathartic, the guitars urgent and convincing — it’s instantly a banger.
Algiers — “Irreversible Damage” (feat. Zack De La Rocha)
If you could invite Zack De La Rocha onto a song, why wouldn’t you? His collaboration with Algiers for “Irreversible Damage” is nearly five minutes of pure mayhem and the listener can’t help but stick around to absorb all of it. Algiers described it as “feral” on Instagram, and that might be the only apt summation.
Horsegirl — “History Lesson Part 2” (Minutemen Cover)
It’s hard to take on a song by the Minutemen — they’re already so idiosyncratic and distinct on their own. But up-and-coming post-punk group Horsegirl nailed “History Lesson Part 2” with vivacious riffs and deadpan vocals that are made all the more compelling with amusing harmonies, turning the track into a kaleidoscopic experience.
F*cked Up — “One Day”
F*cked Up are one of the best hardcore crews around right now. They’ve been kicking it for years, putting out scream-filled anthems with evocative instrumentation and obvious fervor. “One Day” is the lead single from their forthcoming album of the same title, which is definitely something to keep an eye out for.
Every movie eventually gets its own expanded universe if you try hard enough, which is exactly what John Krasinksi is doing with his A Quiet Place effort! Deadline reports that the next installment in the very silent franchise will be a spinoff titled A Quiet Place: Day One.
Day One will star Lupita Nyong’o (!) and is being packaged as a spinoff rather than a proper sequel. It doesn’t seem like Krasinksi or star Emily Blunt will make an appearance in this one, but you can never be too sure with this guy! Directing the movie will be Michael Sarnoski, director of Pig, AKA the guy who helped revitalize Nic Cage’s career.
It’s unclear what type of role Nyong’o will have, though the “day one” seems to hint at a prequel or origin story of those pesky monsters who hate sounds. Krasinksi is set to produce alongside Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller. It seems like this will be the next movie universe that gets all of those fun theme park rides and various multiverse plotlines. Eventually, every movie will be in the same universe! Just like real life.
To be clear: this spinoff is not to be confused with the third installment in the franchise, which is still expected to be directed by Krasinksi and aims for a 2025 release. This is a pretty big deal for a movie that was completely sidelined by the COVID pandemic. Who could forget those March 2020 A Quiet Place Part II billboards that stayed up in Queens for 14 months? Clearly not me!
George Yionoulis is pretty much your typical 9-year-old.
The fourth-grader from Raleigh, North Carolina, loves “Harry Potter,” making art, and eating tacos.
Oh, and he loooooooves dancing. The kid has some serious moves.
While it’s pretty easy to understand why George loves tacos (who doesn’t?), there are some things George does that aren’t quite as easy for people to understand. That’s because when was 2 years old, his parents discovered has an autism spectrum disorder.
George’s autism makes it harder for his classmates at Douglas Elementary School to relate to him. So he used a class project to help them understand him a little better.
George wrote, narrated, edited, and produced a video called “My Autism” and even created an original score to accompany the six-minute clip.
“Hi, everybody. My name is George,” George begins his voiceover as text reading “GEORGE … and AUTISM” flashes across the screen before cutting to footage of George dancing.
“Let me tell you a little about myself,” he continues. “I have fun dancing, I have fun making music, I love to draw and make art, and … wait for it … I have this thing called autism.”
In the video, George shares some of his unique quirks — things he knows his classmates have noticed about him but maybe haven’t had the courage to ask about.
Like the fact that he has trouble making eye contact with people when they speak to him, though he says he’s gotten better about it. “I might not have been looking, but that didn’t mean I wasn’t listening,” he explains.
“Speaking of listening,” he continues. “I can hear and see a lot of things and sounds all at the same time, which sometimes makes it hard to focus on any one sound or thought. That’s why it might take a little more time to answer you when you ask a question.”
He also has trouble with metaphors and figures of speech, which is common for kids with autism, and advises his classmates to be as literal and clear with him as possible.
“If you say ‘take a seat,’ you might find one less chair in your classroom,” he jokes.
George also opens up about some of the challenges he faces and hopes the video will help his friends understand why he sometimes gets angry, cries, or yells.“
I sometimes get frustrated when I get interrupted or when something doesn’t go as planned,” he admits. “Or when something unexpected happens. Or when I make a mistake.”
In a courageous peek behind the curtain, George even includes video of himself — at a much younger age — throwing a tantrum at a book reading as well as audio of himself stumbling with his words while recording the narration for the video and becoming audibly frustrated. “But I messed up!” he cries.
“(Some of those) are just kid things to get frustrated about, and I’m a kid just like you,” he says. “All us kids are different in our own ways, right?”
At the end, George asks his classmates to come talk to him, ask him questions, or invite him to play — even if it seems like he might not want to.
“I like having fun, just like you. So if you ever see me playing by myself, it doesn’t necessarily mean I don’t want to play with you, too,” he tells them. “I always want to play with you.”
His heartwarming honesty and larger-than-life on-screen personality are so compelling, it’s no wonder the video has gone viral. Shortly after the video went up on YouTube and Facebook, it racked up tens of thousands of views and hundreds of comments.
Initially, it was only meant for George’s 21 elementary school classmates.
“The feedback we’re getting is, ‘I showed this to my 6-year-old who has autism, I showed this to my 12-year-old who has autism,’ and they’re going, ‘Me too, and we could be friends!'” his mother, Lisa Jolley told Raleigh-Durham’s WTVD/ABC11.
In a world where people with autism aren’t often given the chance to speak for themselves, it’s both really cool and really significant that George has taken control of his own life story and experience and is sharing them in his own words. At only 9 years old, he’s already making huge strides in helping the world better understand a condition that affects about 1 in 68 kids in the United States.

Pharrell Williams and Travis Scott are making their way back with new music: the Virginia rapper-producer and the Houston rapper are paying homage to the dirty South with their latest collaboration, “Down In Atlanta.”
The new single is expected to be released later this week, on Friday, November 4. Williams shared the announcement on social media, tweeting, “Pre-save DOWN IN ATLANTA feat.@trvisXX,” adding a link for fans to pre-save the new tune.
For Scott, the collab couldn’t come at a more perfect time as he eases back into music after the horrific events at his 2021 Astroworld Festival in Houston, which left ten people dead and dozens more injured. The family of 21-year-old Axel Acosta — one of the ten victims who died at the famous festival — recently announced they had reached a settlement following the incident.
Scott recently released two songs, “Mafia” and “Lost Forever,” earlier this year during the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. The tracks will presumably appear on his upcoming album Utopia.
Earlier this fall, Scott was tasked with being one for the September Fest Day N Vegas festival. In November, the “Goosebumps” rapper is expected to be a part of a line for Primavera Sound in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
However, on Tuesday afternoon they turned into buyers as they decided to take a swing on some much needed wide receiver help for Justin Fields, sending a second round pick to the Steelers for Chase Claypool.

Claypool is a big bodied deep threat that the Bears desperately need considering Fields’ greatest strength as a passer is his arm talent and ability to push the ball down the field, where Chicago didn’t have any true deep threats on the perimeter. Claypool has had a slow start to the 2022 season with 32 catches for 311 yards and one touchdown, but that is at least in part due to the Steelers having one of the worst quarterbacking situations in the league with Mitchell Trubisky starting the season and now Kenny Pickett taking snaps under center.
The biggest question of this deal is what second round pick is headed to Pittsburgh, because the Bears’ pick could be extremely valuable (possibly a top-40 selection), while if it’s the pick they got from Baltimore in the Roquan Smith deal, it’s of at least a decent bit lesser value. In any case, it’s a big commitment to Fields and trying to give him a chance to continue his growth this season by pairing him with a receiver who, in theory, can do the things no one else on the Bears roster can. Whether Claypool can become a true No. 1 receiver remains to be seen, but the Bears are going to at least try to be more dynamic on offense and that’s a good thing for Bears fans.
