Whoopi Goldberg Went Off On ‘Little Girl’ Lauren Boebert For Her Belligerent Outburst During Biden’s State Of The Union Speech

Following President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address, The View wasted no time calling out Lauren Boebert for her outburst while Biden was discussing Gold Star military families. The Colorado congresswoman caused a scene while the president was discussing his own late son, Beau, a veteran, and Whoopi Goldberg is not having it. In a fiery rant, Goldberg tore into Boebert for disrespecting military families, which would include that of former co-host Meghan McCain. When Whoopi’s out here snatching people up for disrespecting Meghan of all people, you know you messed up.

You can watch Goldberg tear Boebert a new one below:

Via Raw Story:

“You can’t do what they do,” Goldberg said of American soldiers. “That’s why we revere them, because they do the stuff we can’t do. And the minute you poop on them, you poop on them like the last guy did, talking about those Gold Star families, talking about Mr. McCain as not being a hero. Who the hell do you think you are, little girl? Who do you think you are?”

Goldberg ended her remarks by telling Boebert, “You don’t have to like this president to be respectful of him talking about the military and his son who died. You don’t have to do that. You don’t have to like him, but you must be respectful. You got to be.”

As for the rest of the panel, Joy Behar quipped (via The Wrap), “You’re in the United States Congress. You’re not doing a midnight set at Chuckles,” while Sunny Hostin kept things blunt. “She’s a clout chaser, and she’s tacky.”

The Cheesy Trailer For Netflix’s Dinosaurs-On-Mount Everest Movie, ‘Cliff Beasts 6,’ Isn’t What It Seems

There’s something off about the trailer for Netflix‘s Cliff Beasts 6: The Battle For Everest.

First off, there is no Cliff Beasts 1-5. But the trailer is purportedly for the sixth film in the franchise, about “humankind [being] threatened once again by a dinosaur species: Cliff Beasts. The team must reunite, after five long years, to battle the Cliff Beasts – but this time on Mount Everest.” That’s absolutely a movie I would watch, especially with the assembled cast of Karen Gillan, Pedro Pascal, Keegan-Michael Key, Leslie Mann, David Duchovny, Rob Delaney, Iris Apatow, Peter Serafinowicz, and Maria Bakalova.

The Borat Subsequent Moviefilm breakout is the clue to figuring out what’s going on here. This time last year, it was reported that Bakalova was cast in The Bubble, a Judd Apatow-directed comedy (he also wrote the script with South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut‘s Pam Brady) that “follows a group of actors and actresses stuck inside a pandemic bubble at a hotel attempting to complete a film.” That film appears to be Cliff Beasts 6: The Battle For Everest. The Netflix tweet about the movie-within-a-movie notes that we’ll see the “full trailer in 2 days,” which presumably means the trailer for The Bubble.

Gillan got in on the elaborate ruse, tweeting, “So excited to share the poster for my latest film Cliff Beasts 6! This is my fav franchise I’ve ever been a part of and this latest installment is the best one so far!!!” (Love creator Paul Rust is possibly involved, too.)

It’s always exciting when Judd Apatow stops, ugh, being a supportive father and makes a new movie, but: the people (me) need Cliff Beasts 6: The Battle For Everest, the dinosaurs on Mount Everest movie with Karen Gillan, Key from Key and Peele, Baby Yoda’s dad, Tutar, and Fox Mulder. We (again, me) deserve both.

The Dreamville Festival Lineup Has Some Serious Surprises Beyond J. Cole

J.Cole’s Dreamville Festival is back for its second year. This time around, the fest has expanded into a two-day format, taking place on April 2nd and 3rd in Raleigh, North Carolina. And while J. Netflix Has Acquired Another Game Developer, So Get Ready For More ‘Stranger Things’ Games

Netflix has already taken over the movie and TV industry, so it makes sense that its next effort in taking over the world is to get into video games. The company is expected to purchase Finland mobile game developer Next Games for $72 million, which equals roughly 8 million months of a basic Netflix subscription if that makes it easier to grasp.

Next Games is known for creating the “Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales” game based on the mega-hit Stranger Things, along with two games based on The Walking Dead franchise. The company was formed in 2013.

“Next Games has a seasoned management team, strong track record with mobile games based on entertainment franchises, and solid operational capabilities,” Michael Verdu, VP of Games for Netflix said in a statement. “We are excited for Next Games to join Netflix as a core studio in a strategic region and key talent market, expanding our internal game studio capabilities.” This is the second time Netflix has acquired a game developer, as they bought Night School Studio last year. Netflix has already begun to launch mobile games through the company and is expected to expand even more.

This new deal could potentially be huge for Netflix, who can now finally make dreams come true and create an Emily In Paris RPG, or an open-world Bridgerton game. It’s what the fans want!

‘The Daily Show’ Has Devised A Handy Remedy For Conservatives Who Want To Forget All The Times They Heaped Praise On Putin

A funny thing happened when Vladimir Putin waged war against Ukraine: Many of the politicians, media figures, and other so-called “conservatives” who have publicly praised Russia’s blood-thirsty president over the years decided to quietly tiptoe their way to the other side and condemn Putin for being the homicidal tyrant he has always been.

While it’s not all that surprising that disgraced former U.S. President Donald Trump is still tickled by just how “smart” and “savvy” Putin is, that stubborn and single-minded right-wingers like Tucker Carlson and Mike Pompeo—who were singing Putin’s praises just days ago—have suddenly changed their tune has been a shocking turn of events. But The Daily Show has an idea of how it happened: Tyranol.

Trevor Noah and his team shared a commercial for this game-changing new pill, whose slogan is “Out with the Vlad, in with the good.” Like Teamocil before it, Tyranol is a bit of a miracle drug. It’s specifically formulated for conservatives who formerly praised Putin, and now desperately wish they could erase every video, audio clip, and social media post that serves as proof of their pro-Putin way of thinking. As the commercial puts it, it’s “the drug that makes you forget you applauded a tyrant who is now applauding civilians.”

So how does it work? By “invading your sovereign mind and attacking any previously held memories and beliefs.”

While there are no official testimonials, clips of Carlson and Pompeo serve as strong proof that it really does work. For individuals who have been cheering for Vlad for years on end, there’s even an extended-release version—which, unfortunately, doesn’t work for everyone. (Some people are just too far gone.)

‘Sonic The Hedgehog 2’ Doesn’t Shy Away From Batman Vibes With A New ‘Blue Justice’ Trailer

With The Batman currently dominating the pop culture discourse, the latest promo for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is apparently going to borrow a little bit of the Dark Knight‘s mojo. In a new trailer titled “Blue Justice,” Sonic (Ben Schwartz) does his best gravelly-vigilante voice as the blue speedster prepares to dispatch with a gang of thugs terrorizing the streets. In a classic Batman maneuver, Sonic even poses on the top of a building where the moon would highlight his superheroic pose if he wasn’t coughing so much from trying to sound like Christian Bale. Realizing dark and gritty isn’t his thing, Sonic sticks to what he does best: going fast as heck and thwarting the schemes of the evil Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey).

You can check out the new “Blue Justice” spot below:

However, that was only the start of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 leaning into the Batman hype. Schwartz got in on the action by retweeting the new Blue Justice poster while putting a spin on a classic line from 2008’s The Dark Knight.

“Because he’s the hero Green Hills deserves and the one it needs right now,” Schwartz tweeted along with the poster that warns people not to use the “hedgehog-symbol” like a beeper.

The sequel, which stars Idris Elba as the (totally not sexy) voice of Sonic’s classic sidekick Knuckles, speeds into theaters on April 8.

Ben Simmons Is Reportedly ‘Not Close’ To Playing And Is Considered ‘Week-To-Week’

Ben Simmons has yet to take the floor for the Brooklyn Nets. Ever since the team acquired him in a move with the Philadelphia 76ers ahead of the trade deadline, Simmons has been working to get to a place where he can take the basketball floor and help the team as they gear up for a playoff push.

Simmons’ apparent issue has been a back injury, and reports have indicated that it’s been a pretty difficult hurdle for him to clear in his attempt to play. The latest comes from Brian Windhorst of ESPN, who appeared on SportsNation and revealed that Simmons is apparently not close to making his debut.

“I wouldn’t buy any non-refundable tickets or hotel rooms, because Rich Paul, Ben’s agent, told me over the weekend that Ben is now considered week-to-week,” Windhorst said when asked if Simmons will be able to play in the Nets’ game in Philadelphia on March 10. “He’s had some back soreness, is what Steve Nash referred to it as. Six, seven days ago, the Sixers had a plan in place, from what I was told, that would have had both Durant and Ben Simmons back and active for that game on March 10, but now, that plan has been scrapped.

“Durant should be back this week, but Ben Simmons is week-to-week, and that game is next week,” Windhorst continued. “As of [Monday], Ben hadn’t even been able to do a full, 5-on-5 workout with the team yet, so he’s frankly not close. I don’t even know if he’s gonna be back in March.”

It is unclear if Windhorst misspoke and meant to say the Nets had a plan for that March 10 game. Brooklyn can certainly use Simmons’ help whenever he is ready, as the team has lost seven of their last 10 games and sit 32-31 on the year, good for eighth place in the Eastern Conference.

Men are sharing the best ‘unmanly’ things they do that make them feel good

As society rethinks and reshapes the use of gender roles, both sexes (and everywhere in-between) are finding more opportunities to explore previously repressed aspects of themselves. It often feels like the Wild West of gender identity—an exciting new time to break through tired paradigms in search for something that is a better fit. We can see this on both a macro and micro scale, from something as widespread as more countries legalizing same sex marriage to something as simple as a man rocking a pencil skirt and heels. Each are radical in their own way.

A Reddit user asked men to name some “unmanly” things they did that they weren’t ashamed of. Their answers, though fun to read, also have an interesting through line, one of embracing sensitivity. Or, rather, their femininity. From self-care, to arts and crafts, to crying during Disney movies, each of these activities challenges the long accepted—and often problematic—belief of what makes a man a “man.”

Psychology Today contributor Tyger Latham, Psy.D. writes that “Most of us immediately identify with the adage that to be a man often means: being tough, staying in control, never crying, working through physical pain, providing for your family, and never backing down from a fight. While such roles provide men with an operational model in which to exist, they can also be extremely restrictive.” He even described a condition known as alexithymia, quite literally meaning “without words for emotions,” that many male clients encounter while trying to express what’s happening on the inside.

But what if the pursuit of happiness includes the pursuit of wholeness? Some would argue that the latter is more important altogether. Men—and women, for that matter—should be able to go fishing, knit while they wait on the pond, come home and throw on an exfoliating face mask while watching a rom-com. So yes, while these answers do serve as a lighthearted digital romp through the internet, they are also symbols of small, yet significant victories.

Without further ado, here are 18 “unmanly” things that are good for the soul, no matter the gender:

1. Sewing

“I think it is helpful for spatial reasoning, attention to detail, and creativity. It is basically construction out of a very thin, flexible material that requires the builder to create the object inside-out.”

2. Bubble baths

“I don’t take baths much but if I do you best believe there’s gonna be bubbles galore in that bath.”

“Bath bombs rule, my favorite one turns the water black and sparkly and smells like peppermint.”

3. Cute voices for animals

“In high school there was a video shown in class, and when puppies came on screen I yelled ‘PUPPIES!’ in a ridiculous falsetto. I still have that reaction regularly when I see puppies.”

“I do this with puppies…kittens…cats…any cute animal…”

4. Prioritizing fashion … to the point of indecision

“There are literally a few minutes where I am stressed out wondering ‘I wore that a few days ago; this is too similar to what I wore yesterday’ and so on. This is mostly when getting ready for work, which is business casual. I have a dozen or so button-down shirts, but I still can’t make up my damn mind.”

5. A love of all things hygge

“I love fuzzy socks, fuzzy blankets, fuzzy anything.”

“I love blankets. My birthday, Christmas, valentines day; just give me more blankets. Let me make a cave of blankets and hibernate straight through until spring.”

hyyge

6. A fondness for stuffed animals

“I sleep with two stuffed animals. It would be three, but Pete the polar bear is now with my girlfriend in the Netherlands.”

“I still sleep with a teddy bear I got when I was 4. I’m 30 now. I hope to give it to my daughter when she is born/old enough.”

7. Checking out other guys

“I can tell when a guy is attractive, I have no sexual desire for dudes but I can tell if I find one good looking, i’d even go as far to say I have a type.”

8. Enjoying domestic chores

“I love looking doing things for my wife…coffee and breakfast in bed everyday, I wash up, I pack her a lunch to take to work everyday, spoil her with little surprises a few times a month etc. Turns out my friends and my father all think I am whipped. They think she has me under her thumb. I guess they don’t know that we split house chores in a number of ways but I chose to do extra things as I have some extra time since I don’t have to commute – it feels fair to me.They also don’t understand that when I lost my job my wife encouraged me to do my own thing and that she supported both of us for a long time to allow me to follow my dream. In short, my mates and father just don’t understand or want to be with a woman who is a partner and equal in the relationship.”

9. Being the little spoon

“I’m nearly a foot taller than my girlfriend, but if we’re cuddling in bed I like to be the little spoon, it’s hilarious and comfy.”

“I once was sitting on the floor and my girlfriend at the time was sitting on the couch giving me a back rub. She eventually wrapped her arms around me from behind and asked how it felt. ‘Like this room is the only thing in the entire world.'”

“Sleeping as the little spoon is really nice because it makes you feel needed on a physical level which is really comforting.”

10. Crying

“Personally, I think that it takes a lot more bravery to open yourself up to something special, such as love for a pet, than to keep everything around you at arms length to numb your own sensitivity (or vulnerability if you will) to anything. You display a willingness to express yourself, knowing full well that it could get you hurt, and then bear any resulting pain, ultimately overcoming it. What the hell could be more manly?”

“I will cry at any movie where a dog dies. Every, Single. Time. A Dog’s Purpose was a very unpleasant movie for me.”

men showing emotions

11. Gardening

“It’s great being able to grow things from just seeds.”

12. Therapy

“Everyone needs a little bit of therapy. Even if you’re perfectly fine, everyone needs someone to talk to.”

13. Sharing feelings with the kids

“Hugging my kids, apologizing to them when I’m wrong (‘sorry I accused you of making a mess outside, I just learned it was the neighbors’ kid’), and showing them it’s okay to have and express feelings. Yes, daddy can get teary eyed too when watching a sad movie. Also as an extension of apologizing for having done wrong, being able to back down. When in an argument and find out you’re wrong, it’s not weak to say ‘I didn’t know that. Sorry, I was wrong.’”

14. Complimenting guy friends

“A lot of people feel it’s not manly to do so but I think it’s important and it feels great having a group of guys that doesn’t just bash each other all the time.”

15. Interior decorating

“I spend a ridiculous amount of time looking up furniture/wall art/etc. just fantasizing about how I’m going to decorate it when I finally get my own place.”

16. Baking

“I just donned a pink apron with strawberries on it to help my girlfriend make a pie. Her family razzed me about it… but hey, no pie for them.”

“I bake and listen to Adele. Sometimes at the same time.”

17. Afternoon tea

“I don’t care who you are. You haven’t lived until you’ve eaten tiny cucumber sandwiches and scones off a three-story silver party platter.”

18. Self-care

self care for men

“Manicures and pedicures, obviously no nail polish, but my hands and feet are usually a horrendous pile of dead skin and callouses from working out and my job. It makes me feel a little better about people seeing them, they don’t get all of them, but it definitely makes them look closer to normal.”

“I love doing a facial cleanse, tone and moisturize, makes your face feel awesome.”

“I go full-on Bateman. Have multiple face masks, skin creams and hair products. Started as a way to bond with my sisters, ended up being something that centers me in the mornings and a comforting ritual a couple of times a night.”

Kanye West’s First Two Albums Reach New ‘Billboard’ 200 Album Chart Success

Despite Kanye West’s ongoing divorce troubles, things are looking up in the other parts of his life. Although fans can’t officially get his new album Donda 2 without buying the $200 stem player, it looks like the new album’s discourse dominance combined with the social media success of the Netflix Jeen-Yuhs documentary have helped propel some of the rapper’s catalog classics to new heights.

Billboard reports a huge resurgence on the Billboard 200 album chart for the first two albums in Kanye’s iconic discography, with The College Dropout reaching a 15-year peak and Late Registration returning to the chart for the first time in five years. The College Dropout, which contained the hits “Through The Wire” and “Slow Jamz” — both of which were highlighted in Jeen-Yuhs with footage from their respective recording sessions — jumped from No. 109 to No. 36, the highest it’s been since March of 2005. Meanwhile, Late Registration, which helped cement Kanye as a cultural force, returned to the chart at No. 184.

Meanwhile, those fans who did dish out the double-Benjamin down payment on Donda 2 received 16 tracks last week in addition to the four that hit just days before. Those who wanted to get the album by other means have done so with the help of a stem player emulator a Redditor shared on the forum shortly after the album’s release date, while others found themselves downloading a similarly-titled album by someone named Wanye Kest on Apple Music.
