Adele moved to tears after a man in the crowd holds up a photo of his late wife

Adele is an artist who regularly interacts with her fans during concerts. But one particular exchange left the singer in tears.

During one of her “Weekends with Adele” shows at Caesar’s Palace in Vegas, the British pop icon began walking through the crowd singing “When We Were Young” when she noticed a man holding up his phone to show a picture of his wife.

Back on stage to sing “Someone Like You,” Adele then said, “This is for you, sir, who’s showing me a photo of his wife on his phone,” while smiling.

Only a few moments later, Adele realized there was an additional layer to the man’s story.

After the song ended, Adele took a moment to describe to the crowd what just happened. “When I walk through the crowd,” she said, taking a big breath to hold back tears, “I wish you could see what I could see.”

She continued, “I know I talk to a few people every night, but then I just see little stories of people happening. There was a man. He’s just there—can you see him holding his phone up?”

Tearing up, the “Hello” singer explained, “I think that’s his wife on his phone, and I don’t think she’s here, and it just really moved me.”

“It looks like you’re here on your own, and I’m so sorry,” she told the man. “I’m so sorry for your loss, and I’m so sorry I didn’t realize what you were showing me until I was already over there. I see these little pockets of people’s lives when I walk through, and it’s so beautiful.”

People who watched the video noticed that the man had held up his wife’s picture while holding his heart. One person wrote, “crying bc he looked so content even if Adele didn’t notice, like he was happy knowing his wife would’ve loved just seeing what he’s seeing.”

It goes to show not only what a big heart Adele has, but the inherent empathy humans have for one another. Complete strangers can create intimate bonds because, to some extent, we all share an experience of love and loss. It’s a painful part of life, but arguably one that makes life so rewarding.

In the midst of turmoil in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, rapper NLE Choppa remains proud of the strength the city has displayed. On his new single, “Champions,” Choppa honors the people of Memphis, and encourages them to keep fighting and being resilient.

“I hate to struggle but it make me harder / I made it far but I wanna go farther / This not for me / This for my son and my daughter / My family tree in that order,” he raps on the track.

“You could be who you wanna be, live how you wanna live / Stunt how you wanna stunt, give what you ‘posed to give / Say what you wanna say, feel how you wanna feel,” Glo notes in the first verse. “Sometimes, I think they be forgettin’ the internet a fairytale / Teach that n**** for the people, but in person, he a b*tch / They be gangster on the booth, but in them papers be a snitch.”

As for the music video, it finds GloRilla tracking down her e-haters and teaching them a lesson — without any major spoilers here.

Long story short: nothing online matters. Log off. Have some real fun with your besties. And ignore anyone who has a problem with it.

She had previously teased the heavy-hitting track in a video clip from Triller, where she dances around a room and shows off her decked-out rings.

Two of the most attention-grabbing rising artists at the moment, PinkPantheress and Ice Spice, have united for a remix of PP’s song — now titled “Boy’s A Liar Pt. 2.”

Already an anthem to calling a man out for his sketchy ways, this collab truly raises the stakes by bringing the iconic girls of the internet together. “Take a look inside your heart / Is there any room for me?” PinkPantheress maintains from the original. “You only want to hold me when I’m looking good enough.”

“If you don’t speak, does that mean we’re through? / Don’t like sneaky sh*t that you do,” the “Bikini Bottom” rapper concludes.

“Working with this amazing woman on this remix was a delight from start to finish and the easiest collaboration I’ve ever made,” PinkPantheress shared in a statement.

The Senate Judiciary Committee Issued A Warning To Ticketmaster Ahead Of The Pre-Sale For Beyoncé’s Tour

Beyoncé‘s Renaissance World Tour is set to kick off this spring, and you can believe that the Beyhive already has strategic plans in place to get their tickets. While the pre-sales have not officially begun yet, many fans are still shaken up after last November’s Ticketmaster fiasco that took place during the pre-sale for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.

Several Swifties waited in Ticketmaster’s virtual waiting room for hours on the day of the virtual pre-sale, but many didn’t get their tickets, as the website kept glitching, and the rules for accessing the pre-sale were rather vague. Since then the United States Congress has held a hearing regarding Ticketmaster and their questionable practices.

The first of two pre-sales for the Renaissance World Tour will begin Tuesday, February 7, with the second taking place the following Tuesday, February 14. With the pre-sale imminent, Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee have issued a warning to Ticketmaster.

“We’re watching,” read a tweet from the Senate Judiciary Committee’s official Twitter account.

But hopefully, this pre-sale won’t break any of the Beyhiver’s souls. Ahead of the pre-sale, Ticketmaster issued a notice, revealing that they have changed some of their policies and processes.

“Demand for this tour is expected to be high,” read the statement. “If there is more demand than there are tickets available, a lottery-style selection process will determine which registered Verified Fans get a unique access code and which are placed on the waitlist. A Verified Fan access code does not guarantee tickets, it just gives you access to join the sale. All tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. If tickets remain, the lottery-style process will be used to invite more Verified Fans from the waitlist to join the sale.”

Donovan Mitchell On Dillon Brooks Hitting Him In The Nuts: ‘That’s Just Who He Is’

The Cleveland Cavaliers picked up a strong home victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday, winning by a 15-point margin in front of a national television audience. Beyond the win-loss result, though, there were fireworks in the third quarter when a fight broke out, leading to the ejections of Cavs star Donovan Mitchell and Grizzlies wing Dillon Brooks. The incident was ignited when Brooks hit Mitchell in the nuts during live play and, after the game, Mitchell spoke extensively about his feels on Brooks. In short, it wasn’t terribly positive.

“That’s just who he is,” Mitchell said. “We’ve seen it a bunch in this league with him. Him and I have had our personal battles for years. Quite frankly, I’ve been busting his ass for years, playoffs, regular season. And the one game he does an alright job on me today, he decides to do something like that. There’s no place for that in the game and you’ve gotta protect yourself at the end of the day.”

“This has been brewing for years, with me, with other guys in the league,” Mitchell continued. “You all see it. This isn’t new. Tonight was just the end of it. It’s tough when you can’t guard somebody and can’t do something with somebody, you gotta resort to that and that’s what he’s done to a lot of players… I’m glad my guys held it down tonight and had my back throughout the whole thing.”

It certainly isn’t a given for a player ejected after 22 minutes to even speak at a postgame press conference, even when acknowledging Mitchell is Cleveland’s most prominent player. Still, it appeared as if he had plenty to get off his chest about Brooks, and as Mitchell noted, Brooks has seemingly earned a reputation around the league for chippy behavior at the very least. It isn’t every day that you hear this kind of candid sentiment from one player to another on the record, but there is no love lost between Mitchell and Brooks, and things boiled over in this instance.

The Cavs were fully behind Mitchell, as he got presented with the chain in the locker room and coach J.B. Bickerstaff had quite the quote about his guys.

Skrillex Continues His Roll Of Collaborations By Adding Nai Barghouti On His Fierce New Song ‘Xena’

Skrillex has been on a serious roll this year — and doesn’t appear to have any plans to slow down anytime soon. He’s back again this week with a brand new song, “Xena,” that’s a collab with Palestinian performer and composer Nai Barghouti.

Barghouti’s sole vocals open the song before the fierce electronic beat is added as a layer — and then eventually gets an instrumental break to shine. Dark and enthralling, this might be at the top of Skrillex’s teased drops from his upcoming album.

Last month, the producer dropped a collab with Bladee on “Real Spring” and prefaced that with additional songs that featured Fred Again, Flow Dan, Trippie Redd, PinkPantheress, and Bobby Raps.

“People ask why ‘I’ve been gone’ or ‘fell off,’ rightfully so,” Skrillex shared on Twitter recently. “Like I said, 22 was sort of my tipping point, I had to put everything on ice especially my projects/career.”

“The truth is I didn’t cancel sunset and movement festival because of my albums,” he added. “It we because I was working on myself. For the first time in 4-5 years I’ve found a new sense of peace. It took so much work and sacrifice to get here.”

Terrace Martin And Channel Tres Write A Love Letter To LA With Their New Single ‘Chucks’

Jazz musician Terrace Martin has teamed up with house producer and singer Channel Tres for a breezy new collaboration. On their new single, “Chucks,” the two describe a day in Los Angeles, while on foot in their favorite shoes — Converse, also known as Chuck Taylor’s.

On the song, Tres makes nods to the City of Angels, by rap-singing, “Walkin’ on the street I see cop cars / Walkin’ on the street that’s the boulevard / It’s that motherf*ckin’ hustle and bustle sh*t / Know what I’m sayin’”

Throughout the thumping, groovy beat, Martin’s signature saxophone riffs give the song a dreamy feel.

In a press release accompanied by the track, Martin describes it as “a sonic picture that represents New Los Angeles. The driving pulse of the song represents the tempo of traffic, the bass line is the attitude of a true Angeleno, the space that Channel commands with his vocals closely relates to the motion of water. At the end of the day it’s goin’ to make you move and feel good about being alive.”

Tres also explained that lyrically, he wanted to pay homage to his west coast childhood.

“This record is about reminiscing and grieving my past,” Tres said. “I grew up on Long Beach Blvd. and a lot of things took place there. I remember the donut shop, the car wash, the Compton swap meet, and I tried to best articulate that feeling with space and groovy production. Chucks were also my choice of shoe growing up — they cost $25 at the swap meet, and they looked good. I had a bunch of them.”
