Dog’s best friend is his ‘crazy uncle’ and their hijinks keep their family entertained

People get dogs for companionship. We’ve all heard the old trope that dogs are man’s best friend, and typically that means best friends with their designated human. You know, the one who feeds them, pays their vet bills and provides them with shelter. It would make sense that the ones they live with are their default favorite human.

Unless you’re a pit bull named Einstein. This short, stout, wide-smiling dog only has eyes for his uncle who likes to stop by the house Einstein shares with his uncle’s sister to rile the dog up. Of course, the dog doesn’t mind Uncle Hans’ encouraging shenanigans. The two have formed a special bond through their play. Hans even gets down on Einstein’s level and plays tug-of-war with the dog. Yes, he (the human) puts the stick in his mouth, too. How else would tug-of-war work?

Frida, the pit bull’s owner and Hans’ sister, is constantly entertained by the pair, calling her brother the “funcle.”

“He loves playing with Einstein, and then it just started rolling and they got crazier and crazier,” Frida told The Dodo. “Hans just goes down to Einstein’s level. Einstein looks at him like he is the best friend in the whole world.”

The two of them wear matching outfits including matching snow suits because cold weather doesn’t slow the best bud duo down. Hans runs, jumps and rolls around on the ground with the dog every time they have a playdate. The pitty and his uncle even play practical jokes on Einstein’s owner.

Their relationship is entirely too cute and a must-see, below:

Mom shares hilarious video showing why spaghetti night falls on Dad’s night to give baths

Bath time is either a parent’s favorite time of the night or their most despised. The shift in perspective usually depends on the child, whether it be age or attitude. Baths are supposed to be relaxing for kids in preparation for bed, but for some kids, bath time just winds them up and you debate pouring the entire bag of sleepytime Epsom salt in the tub.

But no matter your child’s personality, the smaller the child, the messier the clean-up and the more you have to do as the one giving the bath. To top it off, babies in bathtubs are slippery, so cleaning off your tiny chubby-cheeked clone can get even more interesting. These little inconvenient factors can sometimes cause parents to come up with creative ways to get out of messy bath times—like only cooking messy dinners when it’s your partner’s turn to wash the munchkin.

That’s exactly what one mom does, and her husband looks absolutely defeated in the most relatable way possible.

In a video posted to TikTok that has over 1.2 million views, Taylor Bunton’s 11-month-old daughter, Reese, sits in her high chair covered in spaghetti sauce as the baby rubs it in her hair. But when the camera pans over to her partner…he is not amused. It’s his turn to give the baby a bath, and now that involves cleaning spaghetti noodles and sauce out of her hair.

The caption of the video reads, “Spaghetti night always falls on Dad’s bath night🤭🤪🍝.” I think Dad would like to renegotiate.

“His reaction was just so funny because he knew it was his turn for her bath night and so he was telling me, ‘Stop, stop recording. We shouldn’t let her do this.’ And I was like, ‘No, this is so funny,’” Bunton told GMA. “She probably gets more on her body than she does in her mouth. You can’t blame her. She just loves making a mess and I just love her being able to feed herself, feel the different textures and just enjoy herself.”

Judging by the comments, the short video gave just about everyone a chuckle except Reese’s dad. Maybe for payback, Dad can introduce the messy eater to chocolate pudding just before Mom is ready to get her bathed. It’s only fair, right?

You can see the spaghetti monster below:

Mother whose three daughters are CEOs and a doctor shares her one ‘unpopular’ parenting rule

Esther Wojcicki has earned the right to tell people how to raise their kids. She’s an educator, journalist and bestselling author of “How to Raise Successful People” who has raised three daughters—two are CEOs and the other a doctor.

Susan Wojcicki is the CEO of YouTube, Anne Wojcicki is the co-founder and CEO of 23andMe and Dr. Janet Wojcicki is an anthropologist and epidemiologist who works on HIV progression and obesity risk in children.

In “How to Raise Successful People” Esther Wojcicki says the secret to success is the result of “TRICK”: trust, respect, independence, collaboration and kindness. In a new article she wrote for NBC Chicago, she boiled that down to one rule, “Don’t do anything for your kids that they can do for themselves.”

“Parents need to stop coddling their kids,” she continues. “The more you trust your children to do things on their own, the more empowered they’ll be. The key is to begin with guided practice: It’s the ‘I do, we do, you do’ method.”

The “I do, we do, you do” method is used by teachers to gradually give students new responsibilities. The teacher first demonstrates the task, then they do it with the student and finally, the student does it alone.

Wojcicki says that parents can start with their children by asking them to make their beds, pick their own outfits and to help with dishes and making dinner. It’s funny that every child is raised by a parent who cooks them meals, but an astonishing number of them grow up having no idea how to boil water. Why? Because nobody bothered to get them involved.

As the old saying goes, “Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day. Teach him to fish and he’ll eat forever.”

“The idea is to teach them how to cope with what life throws at them,” she writes. “One of the most important lessons I taught my daughters is that the only thing you can control is how you react to things.”

Wojcicki’s rules are a reaction to the modern trend of helicopter parenting, which is “overly focused on their children” where parents “take too much responsibility for their children’s experiences and, specifically, their successes or failures.” This can result in children who grow into adults with lower self-confidence and self-esteem, poor coping skills, increased anxiety and a sense of entitlement.

Simply put, when children are too dependent on their parents, they become ill-equipped to deal with real-world challenges. So when parents think they’re helping their children, they are actually setting them up for failure. Is it any wonder why we live in an age where more and more people suffer from crippling anxiety and depression? The world is a lot scarier when you’re not properly equipped to deal with everyday problems.

“When you trust kids to make their own decisions, they start to feel more engaged, confident and empowered,” Wojcicki writes. “And once that happens, there’s no limit to what they can achieve.”

While, at first, this dramatic change in parenting may seem difficult for parents who have a hard time letting go, it’s an opportunity for them to grow. “What I realized, through a lot of conscious effort, is that parenting gives us perhaps the most profound opportunity to grow as human beings,” she writes in “How to Raise Successful People.”

Parents have kids record them dancing but capture their reactions instead and it’s pure joy

We all know parenting can be tough, but if there’s one thing that makes the roller coaster of emotions totally worth it, it’s seeing our children’s faces light up with joy.

Children’s smiles are infectious, and not in the scary pandemic kind of a way. There’s simply nothing better in this world than the face of a bright-eyed little human beaming with happiness, which is why a recent TikTok trend has people grinning from ear to ear themselves.

The premise is simple: The parent asks the kid to record them dancing to Taylor Swift‘s “Love Story” with the screen facing away from them (under the guise that the parent dancing needs to see themselves). So instead of recording the parent dancing, it’s actually recording the kid’s face watching them.

And oh, the love and joy on these kids’ faces is so, so sweet to witness. Watch:

@thechavezfamilyy

The end 😭😭 why am I bawling at this trend?! He’s SO CUTE #momsoftiktok #momtok #toddlersoftiktok

That face. OMG.

And check out the encouragement from this little fella:

@themarshhfamily

The end did it for me 🥹😭I birthed such a sweet, loving and encouraging little boy!! #momtok #toddlersoftiktok #taylorswiftchallenge #lovestorychallenge #boymom #toddlermom

Seriously, seeing close-ups of kids’ joy should be a daily thing.

@makingthemoffitts

#nationaladoptionmonth #adoptionawareness #thisisadoption #thisisfostercare #adoption #fostercare #makingthemoffitts #lovestorychallenge #taylorswift

Some dads have gotten in on the trend as well. Look at the way this little girl beams at her daddy.

@durbanofamily

Had to jump on the trend! Love this beautiful girl!

Of course, part of the beauty of having kids is you simply never know what they’re going to do. While some youngsters gaze lovingly at their parents while they dance, others have a … well … different reaction. Check out this girl’s facial expressions:

@haleigh.booth

It’s the side eye at the end for me 😆😂😂😂😂

Hilarious. And because this is the internet, naturally someone had to do the TikTok trend with their dog. Gotta admit, Ellie’s toothy grin is pretty darn cute as well.

@elliegoldenlife

This is why I don’t dance 😂

TikTok trends can sometimes be strange, annoying or problematic, but once in a while one comes along that brings people together in surprisingly delightful ways. Seeing people’s kids’ pure enjoyment watching their parents being silly is simply the best.

‘SNL’ cast can’t keep it together during a sketch where Ego Nwodim battles her steak dinner

Most episodes of “Saturday Night Live” are scheduled so the funnier bits go first and the riskier, oddball sketches appear towards the end, in case they have to be cut for time. But on the February 4 episode featuring host Pedro Pascal (“The Mandalorian,” “The Last of Us”), the final sketch, “Lisa from Temecula,” was probably the most memorable of the night.

That’s high praise because it was a strong episode, with a funny “Last of Us” parody featuring the Super Mario Brothers and a sketch where Pascal played a protective mother.

In “Lisa from Temecula,” Paul, played by Pascal, takes a few friends out for dinner, played by Punkie Johnson, newcomer Molly Kearney and breakout star Bowen Yang. The trouble comes when Johnson’s sister Lisa, played by Ego Nwodim, orders her steak “extra, extra well done.”

The sketch is a play on the notion that it’s a faux pas to order well-done steak, especially in a fancy restaurant. However, Lisa doesn’t care and won’t tolerate “one speck of red” on her steak.

The sketch is one of the rare moments on “SNL” where things are so funny that the cast breaks character. Pascal has difficulty getting through his lines and Yang has to cover his face because he can’t stop laughing. But Nwodim only has one small break in the scene and keeps it together as the sketch’s comedy core.

“Lisa from Temecula” got a lot of attention on social media and Nwodim later thanked the sketch’s writers Alex English, Gary Richardson and Michael Che.

‘Meatball’ Ron DeSantis Got All Red-Faced And Huffy At The Museum Of Tolerance When A Reporter Asked Him About Time Working As A Guard At Guantanamo

The World Irony Meter has been at record-high levels today — both because woke-hating Ron DeSantis, of all people, is holding court at The Museum of Tolerance in Jerusalem. And also because he lost his sh*t on a reporter while answering questions at said museum.

DeSantis’ international foreign visit is officially to commemorate the seventy-fifth anniversary of Israel’s independence. Yet people have been more interested in getting “Meatball” Ron’s thoughts on Disney filing a lawsuit against him and his cronies in federal court, which originated with DeSantis’ proposed — and not-very-tolerant — “Don’t Say Gay” bill. But an even more enterprising journalist decided to ask Ol’ Pudding Fingers about the time he spent as a Navy lawyer at Guantánamo Bay, where he reportedly realized that it was a-ok to force-feed detainees, according to The Washington Post.

Ron was not pleased.

Initially, Ron attempted to blow off the question — which the reporter didn’t even get out in full — with a dismissive “that’s all BS,” but the reporter wasn’t about to give up so easily. That’s when we apparently got to see what the Florida governor is like when he’s operating without a script. And it wasn’t pretty.

A red-faced DeSantis (like a meatball smothered in Sunday gravy!) raised his voice and demanded to know whether the reporter honestly thought anything he had heard about Young Ron in Cuba was “credible,” given that it was nearly 20 years ago.

“Do you honestly think that they would have remembered me from Adam? Of course not,” DeSantis bellowed. “They’re just trying to get into the news because they know people like you will consume it, because it fits your preordained narrative that you’re trying to spin.”

“Focus on the facts, and stop worrying about the narrative,” DeSantis declared, before moving on. So much for “tolerance.”

Is There A ‘P-Valley’ Season 3 Release Date?

This August will mark one year since P-Valley wrapped up its second season. A couple of months later, the show was renewed for a third season which led to plenty of excitement from fans who wanted to see P-Valley live on for another season. Since then, the show would go on to collect NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series (Nico Annan who plays Uncle Clifford), and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Loretta Devine who plays Ernestine Sayles). In short, people love P-Valley and they can’t wait for season three. Now, is there a release date for it yet?

Is There A P-Valley Season 3 Release Date?

Unfortunately, there isn’t an official date for season three of P-Valley at the moment. If we had to guess, we could assume that the new season will debut sometime in the summer around June or July. Season one of P-Valley made its debut in July 2020 and season two arrived in June 2022 following numerous production delays due to COVID-19. Seeing that COVID isn’t causing production delays nowadays, we can assume that season three of P-Valley won’t take almost two years to arrive this time around.

After the show was renewed for season three, creator and showrunner Katori Hall shared a statement about the renewal.

I am blessed beyond measure for this opportunity to write the next chapter of P-Valley. With its complex, dynamic and beautifully flawed characters, this show is a love letter to marginalized communities in the American South who rarely see themselves reflected on screen. It brings me immense joy to know that it has been embraced by folx worldwide. We wouldn’t be getting back up on that pony, without our fiercely devoted Pynk Posse. Y’all are our fire.

Stay tuned for more updates on season three of P-Valley.

All seasons of ‘P-Valley’ are available to stream now on STARZ.

Lamar Jackson And The Ravens Have Agreed To A 5-Year Deal

Lamar Jackson’s contract situation lingered over everything for the past year in Baltimore, as the Ravens had to figure out what they were willing to pay their former MVP quarterback. Jackson, who negotiated for himself without an agent, held firm on his demands, seeking a large guaranteed amount, which was the unsurprising sticking point in negotiations.

In February, the two sides were further apart than ever, leading to Baltimore placing the non-exclusive franchise tag on the star QB, allowing him to negotiate with other teams who could sign him to an offer sheet, while Jackson issued a trade request. There were no teams that jumped up immediately to make an effort to give Jackson a contract that Baltimore wouldn’t match, leading the two sides to eventually meet back at the negotiating table as the NFL Draft approached.

With Jalen Hurts getting an extension done in Philly that pays him $255 million over five years (with $179 million guaranteed for injury), a new bar was set for Jackson’s negotiations. The Ravens were willing to put forth an offer that exceeded Hurts’ deal, according to Ian Rapoport, and on the day of the Draft, a deal was struck to keep Jackson in Baltimore through 2027, as he announced officially in a video through the team’s Twitter account.

The agreement makes Jackson the league’s highest paid player, topping Hurts’ deal while also not matching the fully guaranteed figure Deshaun Watson got in Cleveland that the league as a whole has seemingly been trying to make out to be an albatross, not the new standard. For Jackson, it’s proof that he was right to hold out as long as he could for the best possible deal, with the Ravens recognizing they needed to get their quarterback situation solidified by the time they got on the clock in the 2023 Draft.

After signing Odell Beckham Jr. and getting a new offensive coordinator in Todd Monken, the Ravens offense hopes to be more dynamic as a passing attack this coming season than it has been in some time. Jackson will continue to be the face of that, and Ravens fans can finally shift their attention to excitement about the future rather than worrying about joining the teams trying to find their franchise QB.

‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning’ Is Zooming Into Theaters (A Little) Earlier Than You Thought

In case you weren’t aware, Tom Cruise freaking loves the theatrical experience. The guy can’t get enough of it, so naturally, he’s so excited to get Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One into theaters that the film is now arriving two days early. The seventh installment in the Mission: Impossible series will now make its debut on July 12, and to show how committed he is to making this film as a huge blockbuster as Top Gun: Maverick, Cruise sent 20 minutes of footage to this year’s CinemaCon.

Via The Hollywood Reporter:

The footage included an inventive chase scene in which Cruise’s Ethan Hunt is handcuffed to Hayley Atwell’s character as they flee police and multiple factions of people who want them, most notably a character played by Pom Klementieff whose most frightening feature is how much she seems to enjoy the chase and its ensuing mayhem. The film appears to be a two-hander between Cruise and Atwell, who are at odds yet must team up to survive in the scene.

Like Cruise’s character, Dead Reckoning has taken one beating after another thanks to the film’s hugely expensive production starting just as the COVID pandemic hit Italy in February 2020. From there, the production bounced all around Europe as Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie desperately searched for non-quarantined locations where the actor could throw himself off of helicopters, planes, cliffs, you name it. If Tom Cruise isn’t plummeting to his potential death, then Tom Cruise isn’t living.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One cliff jumps into theaters on July 12.

A New Poll Shows That Trump’s MAGA Movement Is Almost As Unpopular As The DMV And Toe Fungus

A recent nationwide poll of American voters shows that an overwhelming majority have a negative view of Donald Trump’s MAGA movement.

According to an NBC News survey, just 24% of Americans approve of the ideology that fueled Trump’s first presidential campaign, i.e. the notion that the reality TV star could “Make America Great Again.” Trump’s vision of the country’s return to greatness was, well, small. He spent tons of money — and his cronies defrauded voters of even more — to build sections of easily scalable fencing along our southern border. He placed immigrant men, women, and children in cages. He installed inexperienced, right-wing judges on the Supreme Court bench, and he cultivated intimate relationships with foreign dictators like Russian President Vladimir Putin and all-around good guy Kim Jong Un.

If Trump was hoping to borrow his MAGA slogan for his next presidential run, he might want to rethink that strategy.

The NBC News poll showed that 45% of Americans view the MAGA movement as having a negative impact on the country. Of the small percentage that supports the MAGA “plan,” most are Republican, white, and male, who are less educated and live in poorer, rural areas. Though those voters make up a very vocal minority of the voting population — and enjoy plenty of front-page attention from The New York Times — they likely won’t win Trump the electoral vote. In fact, based on his performance in the 2020 Presidential Election, white Republican voters aren’t enough to win Trump the popular vote. To do that, the twice-impeached, recently-arrested former president needs to sway Independents and younger voters and, according to this latest survey, both groups despise the messaging he’s putting out there.
