Coi Leray Reminds Fans She’s Got ‘Bops’ With Her Percussive New Single

Coi Leray doesn’t take breaks. After releasing no fewer than four versions of her last single, “Players” — including a Jersey club remix, a remix with Busta Rhymes, and another remix with Tokischa — she’s got a new song out today to remind fans that she’s got “Bops.” Over a percussive beat by Johnny Goldstein channeling the spirit of early Neptunes, Coi rocks a rambunctious flow, telling listeners to “pop that p*ssy like a percolator / Every day my birthday, you should celebrate me.”

She’s not wrong; over the past year, Coi’s released a stream of fan-favorite tracks including the Nicki Minaj-featuring “Blick Blick,” “Involved,” “Fly Sh!t,” and “Wasted.” She’s also contributed to K-pop songs, Sabrina Carpenter’s “Nonsense,” and RAYE’s “Flip A Switch.” Like I said: Coi Leray does not take breaks.

The world is finally starting to catch up to her, as well. Last month, “Players” became Coi’s first Billboard 100 top ten single, peaking at No. 9. Of course, with greater name recognition comes the likelihood of more discussion liable to set her off. When Latto mentioned her in her new single “Put It On Da Floor,” Coi took exception, although she later admitted that she’d overreacted and Latto officially ended the disagreement onstage at Coachella.

Listen to Coi Leray’s “Bops” above.

Ron DeSantis Fired Back At Disney For Suing Him For Being A D**k

There’s no love lost between Ron DeSantis and Mickey Mouse. The Florida governor has been regularly clashing with the Walt Disney Company for more than a year now, ever since the House of Mouse made it clear that they did not support DeSantis’ so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill. And now they’ve taken their beef to the next level: court!

On Wednesday, Disney filed a lawsuit in federal court accusing “Meatball” Ron and his cronies of waging a “targeted campaign of government retaliation” against the company because of their public opposition to his bill and that his actions are now threatening “Disney’s business operations, jeopardizes its economic future in the region, and violates its constitutional rights.” For his part, CNN reports that DeSantis — who is currently in the midst of an overseas trip to Jerusalem — doesn’t seem bothered or worried by the suit.

While taking part in a press conference in Jerusalem on Wednesday, DeSantis was asked about Disney’s legal action, which he seems to be writing off as meritless.

“I don’t think the suit has merit,” he said. “I think it’s political.” He also seems to think it’s kind of petty. DeSantis claims that Disney is simply “upset that they are actually having to live by the same rules as everybody else,” and that the company’s special taxing district is simply a way for Disney to have “no accountability, no transparency, none of that.”

Rapper 42 Dugg Has Been Sentenced To One Year Behind Bars For Failing To Report To Jail By A Detroit Judge

42 Dugg’s looming legal problems have finally reached a resolution. The “U-Haul” rapper has officially been sentenced to one year in prison by a Detroit judge. Back in March, the musician pleaded guilty to prison evasion in connection with a weapons charge stemmed from his original conviction in 2010 for carjacking and felony firearms possession.

Initially, the prosecutors agreed to recommend a six-month sentence (the same length the rapper previously agreed to serve but skipped out on). However, the district court judge presiding over the case, U.S. District just William Ray II, overruled it, suggesting that the rapper could serve the maximum (five years). Now, according to the Detroit News, Dugg has formally been sentenced to one year behind bars for failing to report to jail.

In addition to the sentence, the recording artist will be required to serve three years of supervised release, pay a $20,000 fine, and refrain from using illegal drugs.

Dugg’s (real name Dion Hayes) lawyers, Drew Findling and Marissa Goldberg released a statement in the sentencing memorandum, which read, “Despite his success and aspirations, Dion has struggled with mental health and substance abuse issues,” adding, “For years, he has used substances as a means of avoiding the jarring and dichotomous realities of his life — that he is a young man who grew up in a socioeconomically depressed area, who spent most of his young life imprisoned, without family guidance or schooling, and who, against all odds, became successful.”

“With such success, Dion came to face new types of difficulties — namely, remaining clear-headed, focused, and free from external influences and bad actors. Such jarring life changes have impacted him in ways he is only beginning to understand.”

Quentin Johnston On The Art Of Catching Deep Passes And What He’ll Bring To An NFL Team

Quentin Johnston out of TCU enters the 2023 NFL Draft as one of the most intriguing wide receiver prospects because of his blend of size and speed, which made him one of college football’s most explosive big play threats last year.

Johnston hauled in 60 catches for 1,069 yards and six touchdowns, helping lead TCU to the national title game in January. Johnston saved some of his best performances for the Horned Frogs biggest games, most notably a 163-yard outing in the playoff semifinal against Michigan. At 6’3 and 208 pounds, he has excellent size and showed off his tremendous burst with a 40.5 inch vertical and 11’2 inch broad jump at the Combine, where he did not run the 40. He figures to be in the mix for a first round selection, alongside Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Zay Flowers, and Jordan Addison, bringing more size and vertical explosiveness than the other three top receivers.

Prior to Thursday night’s draft, we got a chance to talk with Johnston on behalf of Head & Shoulders from the P&G Style Lounge in Kansas City, where we dove into the nuances of being a great deep ball threat, how he developed skills like late hands and stacking DBs, his basketball background and how that shows in his game on the field, things he’s trying to take out of his game before becoming a pro, and more.

The draft is a night away. Where are the emotions at right now?

Obviously I’m not really too high or too low. I feel like I’m still in the middle, still kind of caught up in the interviews and training and stuff like that. So I feel like it’s not really gonna hit me ’til I get my name called.

What has this this last few months been like for you? With workouts and everything that you’ve been putting in, going to visit teams, what has the whole experience been like?

It’s been it’s been a mix between fun and stressful and tiring and just everything all at once. But at the same time, it’s a blessing for sure. Because you get to a point where you get tired or you get kind of over like certain interviews and stuff, but you look up and it’s like, you’re one of only a few people in the world to actually get to do this and experience it. So kinda once you have that mindset and look at it like that, you start to see the fun in everything.

What are the things that you’re trying to make sure teams know about you as a player and want them to know, if they draft you this is who they’re getting?

They’re going to, first of all, day one they’re going to get a sponge in me as far as coming in and soaking up as much information as I can. Trying to move with the purpose from day one, don’t really want to go in there and be like okay, you know, I got drafted here or got drafted there, I’m cool. Kind of giving them no space to breathe as far as like me being a person with questions, asking what would I do here, what I do here. So they know I’m intentional about what I’m doing and everything I’m doing has meaning and has purpose.

With that, I want to talk about the work you do and the work you put in your game. The thing that people notice first about you is your ability as a deep ball threat and I think the thing that impressed me the most about you with that is, I think the hallmark of a great deep ball receivers is late hands, right? And not showing the DB where you’re going because that’s what somebody’s chasing is looking for. What’s the work you put in specifically with that to be able to catch balls and show late hands to be sure that DBs can’t come in and try to break things up last second?

Yeah, so when I came to college, I was already building on that in high school. I had a receiver coach named Kwame Cavil, he went to University of Texas and then played with the Bills for a minute and then just it just happened be coaching at Temple [High School], for whatever reason. He was really the first person … I mean before that I was playing football, I was good, I was just raw, I was just out there to doing stuff, whatever. He was the one that really took my game and tweaked it little stuff like closing and stacking as a receiver, getting even with somebody stacking, late hands like you said. So, really just in high school getting lot of reps at that. And then coming to college with the help of coach Malcolm Kelly, just kind of getting reps at that now. It’s not really learning how to do it, it’s just getting reps and staying consistent with it so it’s more like muscle memory at that point when the game comes.

And then when you get the ball in your hands is where you can kind of shine and separate. I think the move everybody talks about is you have that inside step and the spin back outside is something you go to a lot. What are the things that you’re looking for from a DB to know like, okay, I’ve kind of got him in position where I can I can get to that spin?

Yeah, so something that I’ve been doing that’s probably something I need to cut out a little bit is when the ball’s coming, I tend to jump in the air first, which honestly is gonna get me killed if I try to go to this next level and do that. So I’m working to stay on the ground, but with that, it’s just secure the catch, look back, and see which shoulder he’s on honestly. I kinda attribute that to playing basketball. Obviously if I was gonna play college basketball or go to the NBA, I wouldn’t be a post, but I’m from Temple, small city, so I was the tallest guy on the basketball team. So I’m a post. So I’m using post moves, shaking one way going the other, you know how the low post is, stuff like that. Honestly, that’s something in football that I really didn’t practice. It was just muscle memory and something that just came to me as I was just looking over my shoulder to get a feel for the side the guy’s on, and honestly a few times I actually guessed and just happened to be right. So, I wasn’t supposed to say all that [laughs].

And lastly with the work you put in, I’m interested in this with guys as you don’t know exactly what system you’re gonna go into. You don’t know the playbook or the routes they’re exactly going to be asking you to run. You talked about being intentional in your work and being purposeful. What is the work that you put in before you know exactly where you’re going to be and what you’re going to be asked to do?

So I feel like you can be prepared as much as you can for the NFL or just a big step in any profession like this, but there’s no way to get fully prepared because you’re not there. But, specifically as a receiver, I feel like the best thing that you can do is show up in shape. Obviously not going to know the whole playbook first day because you didn’t even know you were going to that team prior, but if you can go there in shape and show the coaches that you can run and that you are showing effort consistently play after play after play after play if they need you. Like, if they told me to go run four deep balls right now, I’m not going to come back after two and be like, “Coach, I’m tired.” Cause then, I might get my spot took. So it’s a different level, like you got to take your mind to a different place as far as that’s concerned. So I feel like that’s definitely the main thing is staying in shape.

And then you got draft night coming up. You got the suit all prepared and everything and you’re working with Head & Shoulders here. How are you getting ready for draft night and making sure that you’re looking right for that stage?

Oh yeah, for sure. So I planned some stuff out with my suit and such a while back. So I got like a cream color and then on the inside I got like my city skyline and then a family picture, just something to keep me humble and stuff like that. But as far as the little details and stuff, what I’m gonna wear — necklace, wrist, or whatever I decided to do — that kind of has just been trickling in over the past few weeks, last minute type stuff.

And then they gonna have all type of cameras in my face, so I gotta stay fresh, make sure my hair and stuff good like that. So every time I wash my hair, I want the best product for me and I feel like that’s Head & Shoulders. So, I feel like they’ve been doing a pretty good job with me, so I’m gonna continue to trust them through the rest of my process.

Lost parrot enlists the help of strangers by playing ‘peek-a-boo’ to find his way back home

Most people know that when a small child says peek-a-boo, you play along, either pretending to be shocked or hiding your own face. But what happens when you’re trying to eat dinner on your patio and you hear the familiar phrase, except instead of turning to see a chubby toddler, there’s a bird? Safe to say that most people would turn back around and continue eating thinking they must’ve been mistaken.

One family in Florida did just that, but the “peek-a-boo” happened again, and the only culprit available was the bird behind them. Reed Schweizer, the man who found the bird, was probably questioning how strong his drink was at that moment.

“All of a sudden, I hear from behind me, ‘peek-a-boo’, with a cocktail in my hand. And I’m thinking to myself, birds don’t talk,” Schweizer told ABC7.

Turns out, the smart, rare Solomon Island Electus parrot named Tiki was lost and trying to find help to get back to his humans. It’s a good thing, too, because his humans missed him desperately and had been looking for the green fugitive for three days.

Brent Chadwell told ABC7 that Tiki comes and goes from his cage as he pleases so he can stretch his wings around the house. But this time, something was different. Chadwell believes that while his girlfriend was cleaning they didn’t realize the cage door was open, and Tiki decided to fly out an open window to tour the neighborhood. The couple looked everywhere for the bird and posted his picture on social media sites hoping that someone would’ve seen their extremely rare pet.

Sadly, Tiki didn’t come home, and for three days, the couple didn’t get any leads. That is until the normally squawking parrot decided to alert strangers that he was lost by playing peek-a-boo. To some, that may not seem impressive, but according to Tiki’s owner, the bird doesn’t know many words, and the words he did know he used to try to communicate with humans.

“That’s definitely Tiki’s way of telling them ‘I need help,'” Chadwell told ABC7. “He says ‘peek-a-boo,’ ‘tickle tickle tickle,’ ‘give me that foot,’ ‘come here,’ ‘hello’ and ‘hi.'”

Schweizer posted a photo of Tiki on Facebook asking if anyone lost their parrot, and 15 minutes later, Chadwell was brought to tears after seeing his bird’s picture. Tiki was safe.

Guy’s ‘blueberry waffle’ meal is going viral for the most hilariously disturbing reason

A viral story on Reddit will make you think twice before you ever eat a blueberry waffle again. A Reddit user with the username @RandyBoBandy___, who goes by the name of Randy, thought he was enjoying a tasty, carb-filled breakfast earlier this month, but he later realized that he had put his health in serious jeopardy.

Randy lives in Montreal, Canada, and his story, posted on April 11, has been upvoted by the online community over 144,000 times.

“It was pretty dark, and my freezer doesn’t have a light or anything, so I just took two waffles out and put them in the toaster,” Randy told Today.com. “I ate them with maple syrup.”

He didn’t notice anything different with the taste. So, he went back into his freezer to grab two more.

“After eating two of these blueberry waffles, I went to heat up two more and saw that the package was for plain waffles,” the Redditor wrote in the r/mildlyinfuriating subreddit. “I ate mold.”

Ewww. Disgusting.

So, what Randy thought were delicious, sweet blueberries in his waffle was mold. Given the picture he shared on Reddit, it’s easy to see why he mistook the blue mold for blueberries.

“It was the worst 10 seconds of my life,” Randy wrote in his post.

“There’s no way this is true. Those are clearly blueberry waffles,” uguysmakemesick commented on the post.

“Just pretend it was blue cheese or penicillin,” MajorMeowCat wrote.

Punk_n_Destroy’s comment probably made Randy want to throw up. “Fun fact: mold is a fungus, so the spots you see are only the fruiting part of the mold,” they wrote. “That whole waffle may be packed full of mycelium.”

Randy further explained why he didn’t notice that his waffles were moldy.

“1—I was watching TV. 2—I ate it with maple syrup. 3—It was dark. 4—I might have COVID, or a bad cold. 5—It’s 5 AM where I’m at. 6—It’s the cheap waffles, I never expect any real flavour,” he wrote on the post.

After the post went viral, many were concerned about Randy’s health. Did he survive eating two waffles that were riddled with mold? So, he gave an update showing that he was still alive and had no symptoms of being poisoned by the moldy waffles.

“Update, I didn’t get sick,” Randy posted with a big thumbs up alongside another moldy waffle.

Randy told Today.com that the waffle went bad because of a power outage in his neighborhood that lasted for four days. While his refrigerator was off, he kept most of his perishables in a cooler packed with ice. However, the waffles were left in the warm freezer so they defrosted and went bad.

So, was Randy tempting fate when he ate the moldy waffles? According to dietitian Lillian Craggs-Dino, eating a moldy waffle shouldn’t kill you. “Be mindful of the fact that you ate it,” Craggs-Dino told the Cleveland Clinic. “And make sure you don’t have any symptoms for the rest of that day. Most likely, you’ll be okay.”

Kelly Clarkson and Carol Burnett sing her famous send-off song ‘So Long’ and fans are seriously choked up

Carol Burnett is a living legend. Kelly Clarkson is a national treasure. Put those two together to sing, and we basically get the duet of our dreams.

On the April 26 episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” the pair performed “I’m So Glad We Had This Time Together,” a classic sign-off song from the long-running, wildly popular and critically acclaimed “Carol Burnett Show.”

Clarkson traded her normal powerhouse vocals for a softer, gentler sound (acing it, of course, as always). And Burnett paid homage to the signature move she used to make at the end of each episode—a playful tug of the ear.

All in all, it was a beautiful nostalgia-fest that hit just the right place in people’s hearts and left them wanting more.

“Wow.. this was so amazing to watch. Best duet ever,” one person commented.

“Imagine if they did this at the end of the episode instead of Kelly’s usual sign-off, but I still love this!” another added.

One fan wrote, “I hope they make a CD album together.” Wouldn’t that be something.

Watch:

This song is just one item on a very, very long list of all the ways Burnett has put a smile on people’s faces. The woman’s not only funny (with a bajillion comedy awards to prove it) but also has endearing charm and an open-heartedness that inspires generosity in others. It’s this powerful combination that’s made her work truly timeless—no easy feat for any comedian.

In honor of her 90th birthday, NBC is releasing a special commemorating her life and career, aptly named “Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love.” It airs April 26 at 8 p.m. ET.

Oh No, Here Come The ‘Worst-Case Scenario’ Rumors About Tucker Carlson Running For President

A recent poll found that the three grossest words in the English language are “pus,” “phlegm,” and “seepage.” I must respectfully (and disgustedly) disagree. The actual nastiest words are “President,” “Tucker,” and “Carlson.”

Ever since the self-satisfied face of Fox News parted ways with the network, people have wondered what his next step is going to be. Carlson didn’t give any hints in his silence-breaking video that he uploaded to his Twitter account, but Rick Wilson, a former GOP strategist who went on to co-found The Lincoln Project, thinks he knows the answer.

“Tucker is one of the very small number of political celebrities in this country who has the name ID, the personal wealth, the stature to actually declare and run for president and in a Republican primary run in the same track Donald Trump did: the transgressive, bad boy candidate, the one who lets you say what you want to say, think what you want to think, act how you want to act, no matter how grotesque it is,” he told the Guardian.

Wilson said that among Republicans, Carlson is “a beloved figure. He’s right now in the Republican universe a martyr – and there ain’t nothing they want more than a martyr.” If he ran for president, “there is an argument to be made that he’s the one person who could beat Trump.”

“I think the worst thing we can do is imagine the worst-case scenario can never happen. Because the worst-case scenario has happened any number of times in the last eight years.”

Will the Republican nominee be the guy who’s getting sued by Mickey Mouse, the guy who would no longer f*ck an M&M, or the “demonic” guy who was impeached twice and recently indicted? Find out in 2024!

Soulja Boy Was Ordered To Pay His Ex-Girlfriend $235,900 In Their Assault And Kidnapping Case

A woman’s 2019 assault and kidnapping lawsuit against Soulja Boy has come to its conclusion, and the rapper must pay his ex-girlfriend over $200,000, according to Rolling Stone.

The woman, Kayla Myers, said in 2019 that Soulja Boy and his assistant had assaulted her after she was kicked out of a party at his house. After arguing with the assistant, she said Soulja Boy broke up their scuffle but then punched and kicked her, pistol-whipped her, then tied her to a chair in his garage for six hours with either an extension cord or duct tape according to conflicting reports. Myers was said to have suffered three broken ribs and a concussion.

Soulja Boy, of course, denied the accusations, saying that he never even saw Myers on the night in question and that all the damage could be attributed to his manager, the woman Myers fought with. He also accused her of making up the kidnapping angle. Police were unable to find evidence of any criminal actions, but they did arrest him on weapons possession charges; he served three months in prison.

According to Rolling Stone, the $235,900 award was broken up as such: $1,800 for “mental health expenses,” and $234,100 for “physical and mental pain and suffering.”
