Oscar Isaac is going to be f*cking pissed.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be the first movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with an uncensored use of the word “f*ck.” It comes during a scene that was released online, in which Star-Lord grows frustrated with Nebula’s inability to open a door. “There’s a button under the handle. Press that in,” he instructs her. When Nebula does so and asks what’s next, Star-Lord yells, “Open the f*cking door.” (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: Awesome Mix Vol. 3 is missing an opportunity if it doesn’t have “I Write Sins Not Tragedies.”)

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 writer and director James Gunn confirmed that, unlike other instances in the MCU, the “f*ck” won’t be cut off. “You can only have one in a PG 13 movie. That said it wasn’t planned – I told Chris to add it on set and it just made the moment funnier so we kept,” he tweeted.

First, it’s swearing. The next thing you know, there will be unsimulated sex scenes between Groot and the Hulk. The moral decay of the Disney-owned MCU is happening, and we will not stand for this moral decay (is how I assume Ron DeSantis will react to this news).

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 opens on May 5th.

Ashanti and Nelly are having fun revisiting the past, or at least giving the illusion that they’re living in the past, even if it’s driving fans bananas.

In December, the “it” early-2000s couple delivered a very cozy performance of their 2008 track “Body On Me” at Power 98.3 & 96.1’s Under The Mistletoe in Glendale, Arizona.

Ashanti addressed the rumors it caused while visiting Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in the following weeks. She didn’t totally confirm nor deny that she’s back together with Nelly.

“It was a lot of comments and a lot of people wanting that,” she said. “What I will say is we’re in a better place. […] We’re cool now. We had some conversations. So, it’s cool.”

They were back at it again this weekend — this time, performing “Body On Me” in Las Vegas:

Desiigner has been charged with indecent exposure after his recent airplane misadventure. According to TMZ, the Brooklyn rapper apparently didn’t just expose himself on his return flight from Thailand — he was also full-on choking the chicken, even after flight attendants asked him to stop. Multiple times.

According to documents filed by federal authorities, Desiigner told police in Minneapolis that he “didn’t really get much… cootie” overseas and said he was so attracted by a flight attendant he ended up “brick hard.” While he later attributed his behavior to medications he was prescribed in Thailand, he reportedly told police he was not under the influence of anything and hadn’t been taking the prescribed medications, while the police report alleges he appeared sober.

Desiigner posted a statement to Instagram after the incident, saying that he was checking himself into a mental health facility.

For the past few months I have not been ok. And I have been struggling to come to terms with what is going on. While overseas for a concert I performed at, I had to be admitted in to a hospital, I was not thinking clearly. They gave me meds, and I had to hop on a plane home. I am ashamed of my actions that happened on that plane. I landed back to the states, and am admitting my self in a facility to help me. I will be cancelling all of my shows and my obligations until further notice. Mental health is real guys, please pray for me. If [you’re] not feeling like yourself, please get help.

It certainly was not the first time the rapper got himself into hot water by getting his junk out in public. He allegedly flashed a couple during an altercation in New York in 2018. Let’s hope he gets the help he needs and keeps it in his pants in the future.

In news that some people undoubtedly still can’t believe is true, Tucker Carlson is leaving Fox News. The Swanson heir and conspiracy theorist extraordinaire has enjoyed quite a run of making those faces on prime time news, and it seems that even the highest ratings on the network didn’t ensure that he would coast for life. The timing sure is interesting here, given that the conservative news network recently reached a settlement with Dominion Voting Systems for a whopping $787 million, and although the world never saw an apology from Tucker, The Daily Show spliced one up.

Brian Stelter was one of the first to report that the shocking decision is “effective immediately,” so Tucker won’t be giving a formal sign off during his usual Fox News time slot. What happened? Well, no one is offering a definitive answer as of yet, but Hollywood Reporter has some interesting insight, which suggests that this was a last-minute decision. In addition to a planned expansion for the Tucker Carlson universe (ugh), Fox News had also planned to air a key interview on Monday night, and that suddenly isn’t in the cards:

Carlson had just inked a new contract with Fox News two years ago, a deal that included a dramatic expansion of Tucker Carlson original programming for the Fox Nation streaming service. Carlson was slated to interview Republican presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy on Monday night. The channel had been promoting the interview earlier in the morning.

Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner announced Carlson’s departure on her program Monday, saying she had some “news from within our Fox News family,” before reading the channel’s statement on Carlson’s departure.

Whatever went down, it doesn’t sound too civil, given the abrupt departure. For the time being, Fox News intends to rotate guest hosts into Tucker’s time slot, but Twitter already has some ideas on who could replace him. It’s not all Succession themed, but Kerry has a fair amount of nominations already, if she can beat out a character from Children of the Corn and Joseph Goebbels’ ghost. I hear that she’s free!

Succession’s fifth episode gave fans exactly what its title promised: a kill list.

In business speak, a kill list is just a round-up of company redundancies meant to be slashed when a merger or acquisition takes place. With GoJo CEO Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård) setting his sights not only on Waystar-Royco but also its conservative news division ATN, personnel adjustments naturally needed to be made. And, because this is Succession, the best way to cull the herd is to gather the over-paid, non-essential sheep on a remote Norwegian mountaintop and have them (literally) sweat it out. Obviously, some long-term Logan Roy groupies are nervous about their continued survival at the company while the higher-ups are hoping the Roy sibling’s renegotiations yield an even bigger payout.

But who’s on the chopping block and who’s safe once the deal goes through?

Who’s On The Kill List? Who Is Safe?

At the beginning of the episode, as the Waystar-Royco crew cruises to their last-minute Scandinavian Hunger Games event, a handful of the company’s mainstay employees seem to be dreading the meet-cute. Hugo (Fisher Stevens) is fretting about GoJo’s head of communications — he’s a former Olympian and decades younger — while Carolina (Dagmara Dominczyk) sizes up Matsson’s personal PR head. Ray, Mark, Gerri (J. Smith Cameron), Greg (Nicholas Braun), and Tom (Matthew Macfayden) also seem to be nervous about impressing the CEO enough to avoid the ax while Frank (Peter Friedman) and Karl (David Rasche) are happily stuffing their gams into compression stockings and readying to “let the good times roll.”

Later, after Greg confirms an evolving kill list of eight to nine names is circling around Matsson’s camp, a final list is leaked to the group on their way home from the retreat. Hugo, Mark, Ray, Karl, and Frank are out while Carolina, Gerri, and Tom seem to be safe (for the moment). And Greg? Well, Greg’s not memorable enough to factor in, either way.

Why Did Some People Survive The Kill List?

Both Karl and Frank are grandfathered-in employees. They’re higher-ups who have been with the company for so long — and accumulated enough controlling stock — that they expect to be given a hefty severance package when the deal between Waystar-Royco and GoJo goes through. The more money Matsson offers only sweetens their pots so the confirmation that they’re getting fired doesn’t bother them too much. They can afford unemployment.

For Hugo, Ray, and Mark — all lower-level employees — the news that they’ve been culled is a bit more brutal. They’ll be facing a job market with a resume that includes working for a notorious, shit-stirring billionaire media magnate (kind of like working at Fox News). But, what’s really interesting about Matsson’s kill list isn’t who’s on it, it’s who’s left off and why.

After a late-night confessional with Shiv (Sarah Snook), Matsson not only offers the siblings more money for their father’s kingdom, he saves specific people she namedrops in their heart-to-heart. After Matsson reveals he’s been sending bricks of blood to his former girlfriend/comms department head, he inquires about Carolina and Shiv backs her, calling her “solid.” Later, when she’s offering up some PR advice for his “prank gone wrong,” she mentions that Gerri would have a good handle on something like this. Though she never fights for Tom outright, she’s quick to throw ATN old-timer Cyd Peach under the bus when the group is back in the air, leading us to assume Tom’s continued existence at the company is also her doing. Matsson seems to not only trust Shiv, but he also values her opinion and sees her as the Roy sibling most similar to her father, a man he both despised and respected.

So sure, we feel for the people on his “to fire” list, but the bigger takeaway from episode five is how it sets up a potential alliance between Matsson and Shiv and presents a new frontrunner in the line of succession.

The Weeknd has been quite busy recently preparing for the debut of his HBO series The Idol, but he still had the time to help a friend on a project of their own. The Weeknd informed fans via Twitter that not only is his frequent collaborator Mike Dean putting out an album this week but that The Weeknd co-executive produced it. The album is called 4:23 and drops this Friday, April 28.

Mike Dean, who has produced for Beyoncé, Chloe, Drake, Kanye West, Kid Cudi, Jay-Z, Lana Del Rey, Madonna, Selena Gomez, and Travis Scott, is four albums into his solo discography, which he surprisingly only kicked off three years ago with 4:20, released on April 20, 2020. He’s released a project around the same time each year since with 4:23 being his fourth. Dean has yet to share further details about the album, although he retweeted The Weeknd and cross-posted his announcement to Instagram.

Meanwhile, The Weeknd recently released his own first new music since last year’s Dawn FM in the form of the Future collaboration “Double Fantasy.” The new track is set to appear on the soundtrack for The Idol, which The Weeknd has said was inspired by both Pink Floyd and Prince.

4:23 is due 4/28.

The Late Late Show is coming to an end soon, but before it does, James Corden did one last “Carpool Karaoke” segment. A few weeks ago, Corden and Adele were spotted together, driving around and filming what appeared to be “Carpool Karaoke.” Now, we know that is indeed what they were doing, as the video is out now. The YouTube upload of the video is titled “Adele – The Final Carpool Karaoke,” indicating that this is indeed Corden’s final drive.

The video starts with Adele standing outside of Corden’s home, telling the camera that she’s going to wake Corden up to take him to work. She goes inside, heads up to his bedroom, grabs a couple of cymbals, and loudly bangs them together. A half-asleep Corden shot up and gave Adele a friendly touch when she said she was going to drive him to work for the final “Carpool Karaoke.”

On the emotional ride, the two reflected and sang. The setlist for this installment was “Rolling In The Deep,” “Love Is A Game,” “I Drink Wine,” Barbra Streisand’s “Don’t Rain On My Parade,” and “Hometown Glory.”

As they pulled up to the CBS lot, Corden teared up and became emotional. He told Adele, “It’s blowing my mind that you’ve done this for me.” Adele replied, “You’re one of my best friends in the whole world.” Corden responded, “And you are mine.”

The next shot was of Adele having a proper cry, saying, “I’m going to miss you so much.” Of Corden moving back to the UK once The Late Late Show is over, Adele said through tears, “I’m just not ready to come back yet. Otherwise, I would come back with you.”

It’s of course fitting that Adele would be the final guest in Corden’s car, given that the 2016 installment when she rapped Nicki Minaj’s “Monster” verse is perhaps the most iconic “Carpool Karaoke” moment ever.

A video posted to TikTok by Connie Kingston has received over 8.8 million views in just four days for the wholesome way that her father responds to her coming out of the closet. The big moment seems to come out of nowhere, and her father doesn’t even miss a beat.

In the video, Connie is lying down and talking to her father, Michael Kingston, about dinner plans when she coyly slips in some information about her “friend,” Daya.

Daya and Connie live in North Carolina and have been dating since November 2022.

Here’s how the conversation went:

Connie: Oh yeah, Daya’s not my friend.

Dad: Why do you say that?

Connie: She’s my girlfriend.

Dad: Yeah, of course.

The father then explains why he is accepting of her lifestyle and supportive of her relationship.

“Connie, I love you so much,” her dad says over the phone. “There’s nothing you can do that would make me not love you. And there’s nothing wrong with that lifestyle. I perfectly agree with that lifestyle. So some of my good friends in college had different lifestyles than me. I love you.”

Michael doesn’t just tell her he supports her but shares why he feels that way, so she’s even more confident about coming out to him.

The video attracted countless comments from people touched by the genuine, heartfelt interaction between father and daughter.

“Does your dad need extra children? Cuz we allll need a dad like that!” Tristann Whittaker wrote.

“When his voice shakes when asking if you were worried about that tore me up, he loves and cares about you so much you are lucky girl,” Deactive added.

The father and daughter appeared on Good Morning America to discuss their relationship.

Unfortunately, Daya’s family wasn’t as supportive of her relationship as Connie’s father. “They weren’t exactly as accepting as I wish that they would have been. And it was kind of a letdown for me,” she told Good Morning America. Daya’s parents’ reaction inspired Connie to tell her parents about their relationship because Daya needed the support.

Michael was concerned that Connie didn’t think he’d be as supportive as he was. “Did she think that I was going to react in a negative way?” he wondered.

“I’m surprised and a little sad because I hope that would be everybody’s responsibility,” Michael told Good Morning America. “You know, when someone you love finds someone they really care about in this world and that person cares about them, then why wouldn’t that bring everybody joy?”

It’s 2023, and just as Michael says, everyone should be accepting of their LGBTQ child. But his reaction is remarkable because of the tender way that he shows his total support for Connie and Daya’s relationship. His response is an excellent lesson to parents everywhere on how to give full support to an LGBTQ child.

There is nothing more nerve wracking and exciting than getting ready for your very first date with someone you’re feeling smitten with. But imagine having been out of the dating pool for 25 years. You might be a little rusty and maybe a tad bit more nervous than you would’ve a quarter century ago.

The grandma stood in front of the mirror in a tan dress with blue flowers on it as she invited her followers to get ready with her. She has clearly been taking notes from the younger creators on TikTok because she pulls off the GRWM—get ready with me—trend flawlessly, including the storytelling along the way.

“I’m getting nervous now. I met him at bingo and that’s the way it goes. He’s really handsome and I couldn’t say no,” Droniak admits before putting on lipstick. “I might kiss him, you never know.”

At the end of the video, she shows the finished product and does a little twirl so you can get the full effect of the dress and reminds her followers that if her date doesn’t like her outfit then he can leave.

Unfortunately for the internet’s favorite grandma, the date didn’t go well and she will not be going out with him again. Grandma has high standards. Doesn’t seem to be much of a concern for Droniak, since she’s racked up over 8.9 million honorary internet grandchildren and she keeps them entertained with her shenanigans.

Yes, you read that right. Goats. They’re this year’s hottest prom trend, thanks to TikTok.

High schoolers are posting videos across the platform showing off their formal attire while posing next to a rented-out, real-life goat as a tongue-in-cheek nod to the popular sports phrase G.O.A.T., meaning “greatest of all time.”

It’s kind of the younger generation’s M.O. to baffle the older folk with weird fads, but this by far is Gen Z’s wildest move yet. A few are even calling the craze “tacky.” But hey, it doesn’t look like any goats are being hurt in the process (except maybe the ones who didn’t get asked to prom…sad) so it seems like pretty harmless fun.

It also means business is booming for places like Get Your Goat Rentals. This Atlanta-based grazing company mostly rents out goat herds to chew through overgrown vegetation as an eco-friendly alternative to chemical sprays. But this year, it’s added prom rentals to the list of services.

Amanda Hudgins, owner of Get Your Goat, shared with Insider that the company had actually been capitalizing on the G.O.A.T. acronym since February, offering “Goat Grams” for Valentine’s Day as well as half-hour cuddle sessions/photo sessions for $75.

Both products were a success, and in March, a high school senior named Trevian White hired their goat Paddy to take prom photos. And these weren’t your average prom photos. No no no, these were shot at the Mercedez-Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta and incorporated a rented-out Lamborghini red carpet.
