Taylor Swift And Ice Spice Live Lavish In A Utopia In Their New ‘Karma’ Video

Taylor Swift and Ice Spice nearly broke the internet with the announcement of their collaboration on the “Karma” remix. Now, the two have shared the video for their dreamy collaboration.

In the song’s accompanying visual, Swift appears in a colorful wonderland in the pages of a magical pop-up book. As the lyrics tell, Swift is seen dancing happily as she keeps her “side of the street clean.”

During her verse, Ice is seen sitting front and center of a clamshell, in the fashion of a brilliant pearl.

The two then set sail across a beautiful river, climb stairs reaching the top of the clouds, all the while, living the peaceful, happy lives they’ve earned.

While the collaboration has left fans divided, both Ice and her frequent collaborator, producer RiotUSA have had nothing but positive things to say about Swift and the collaborative experience. Upon the premiere of the video last night (May 26), RiotUSA shared some behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram.

“Keeping this a secret for months has been so hard but i just wanna say thank you @taylorswift @icespice for allowing me to join y’all world and create with you guys,” he said in the post’s caption. “this experience has been one to remember 4life”

He continued, thanking Swift for her generosity throughout the whole creative process.

“Taylor is the realest: fun fact she even got me cookies at the videoshoot cause she remembered i mentioned it in the studio,” he said.

Maisie Peters Can’t Help But Look Back ‘Two Weeks Ago’ On Her Gut-Punch Of A New Single

Maisie Peters isn’t holding back. In the latest track from her upcoming second album, The Good Witch, she recalls a painful breakup, and looks back on moments she took for granted.

The song, “Two Weeks Ago,” is a bit more stripped-back than the other songs she’s released from The Good Witch. Over a melancholy piano, she keeps trying to figure out where things went wrong, only to later realize that the relationship had simply run its course.

“You were driving fast, I was holding back / And I loved you, babe, but I bet you knew that / The song was true and the sky was black / God, I wish it was two weeks ago / When you said we’re like your mom and dad / And you loved me, babe, when you told me that / And the song was true and the sky was black,” she sings on the song’s chorus.

Peters wrote the song alongside her frequent collaborators, producers Brad Ellis and Jez Ashurst.

You can listen to “Two Weeks Ago” above.

The Good Witch is out 6/23 via Gingerbread Man and Asylum Records. Find more information here.

Tame Impala Has Released The ‘Lonerism 10 Year Anniversary Box Set’ With Unreleased Demos And New Photos

Tame Impala is celebrating a decade since the release of their breakthrough album, Lonerism. Today (May 26), they’ve dropped a special edition of the album.

Lonerism 10 Year Anniversary Box Set comes with three vinyl LPs, along with a 24-page photo booklet. On the vinyl records are the album’s original tracks, as well unreleased demos and never before heard demo sessions.

The album itself actually turned 10 last October. On the day of the anniversary, Tame Impala vocalist and instrumentalist Kevin Parker took to Instagram to reflect on how the album changed his perspective on his own music.

“It was a pretty special time for me making the music,” said Parker. “In a way it’s when I truly discovered myself as an artist. Coming off the back of Innerspeaker I had this new sense of purpose…calling… whatever you want to call it. I had finally given myself permission to let music take over my being completely… to become totally immersed in my own world of recording music. So I had this new sense of creative freedom. I felt free to be ambitious, weird, pop, experimental, whatever, and didn’t feel judged because I was finally just doing it for myself and believed in myself.”

Lonerism 10 Year Anniversary Box Set is out now via Modular Recordings. Find more information here.

Paramore Honored Tina Turner At An Atlanta Show With A Special Performance Of ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’

Over the past few days, fans and musicians have honored Tina Turner and thanked her for her influence across a multitude of genres and generations. The Queen Of Rock ‘N Roll died this past Wednesday (May 24), but her music lives on, and will continue to do so.

On Thursday, Paramore performed in Atlanta, Georgia at the State Farm Arena. During a performance of “Told You So” from their 2017 album, After Laughter, lead vocalist Hayley Williams incorporated a portion of one of Turner’s signature songs, “What’s Love Got To Do With It” into the outro.

Fans who were in attendance at the show noted that Williams hailed Turner as an inspiration for her craft, saying “I would’ve never thought I could be in a band like Paramore if it wasn’t for Tina Turner.”

Williams also paid tribute to Turner on her Instagram story after news broke of her death.

“rest in peace to the queen who showed me you can be a soul singer and a punk singer at the same time,” Williams wrote. “I will sing for you forever.”

You can check out a clip of Paramore’s performance above.

Draymond Green Is Rooting For The Celtics So He Stops Hearing 3-1 Jokes

The Boston Celtics have reeled off back-to-back wins over the Heat to force a Game 6 back in Miami, looking much more like the team that was title favorites entering the conference finals in the process.

After falling behind 3-0, Boston found itself needing to do something no team in NBA history has done, but is just two more wins away from accomplishing history. Game 6 figures to be their toughest test as they have to win another road game, but they certainly are riding a strong wave of positivity after looking like a team that had quit in Game 3 and might be headed to the offseason with a lot of uncomfortable questions to answer.

What’s also become a fascinating part of this series is that the Celtics have now earned the backing of many neutral observers of this series, as, at this point, seeing a historic comeback has shifted plenty of general NBA fans into Boston’s corner. Among those is Draymond Green, who is selfishly pulling for Boston to win in seven, because he’s hoping it’ll at least take some of the heat off of his 2016 Warriors squad for blowing a 3-1 lead to the Cavaliers in the Finals.

“Can they close the deal? I don’t know man, that’s an interesting one,” Green says. “The first team to come back from a 3-0 deficit. We would love to see it, wouldn’t we? Maybe I won’t have to hear about 3-1 anymore if this team comes back from 3-0. Like you can throw the 3-1 in the dirt. I’m sick of it. Would be a much better story, for me personally. Would be a much better story.”

Now, the difference here is that this is a Miami team that was huge underdogs entering the series, piled up a 3-0 lead, and has since come back to earth with their shooting (and also seen injuries start to mount). The Warriors, for those that may not remember, were the best regular season team in NBA history with a 73-9 record, went up 3-1 on the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Finals, and subsequently lost three straight games to become the first team in Finals history to blow a 3-1 lead. While I get what Green’s hoping for, the context does matter and I don’t think it’d do too much to put an end to the 3-1 jokes because of how historically good that Warriors team was only to blow that lead (in part because Green got suspended for a game for kicking LeBron James in the nuts).

That said, misery loves company and there would at least be another team on the receiving end of mockery, so I fully understand why Green would be pulling for the C’s here.

Swedish House Mafia And Fridayy ‘See The Light’ Leading Into A New Era For The Powerhouse Group

Swedish House Mafia is back, and the EDM powerhouse group has a bright outlook toward the future. The trio has teamed up with R&B newcomer Fridayy for “See The Light,” which arrives as part of EA Sports’ Formula 1 soundtrack album.

The song features a simple, pulsating repetition of piano notes, while Fridayy blesses the track with his soft-tinged vocals.

“I know / One day I’ll see the light,” repeats Fridayy throughout. At the bridge, the light at the end of the tunnel becomes more visible, as Fridayy sings “Good night / Dawn is coming in.”

Swedish House Mafia first previewed the song at Ultra Music Festival in Miami back in March. The trio is set to perform this Saturday, May 27, at an intimate exclusive fan show at E1 London. On Sunday, they will perform at Creamfields South on the mainstage.

Fans are abuzz with anticipation, as their placement on the Formula 1 soundtrack album, as well as upcoming performances are teasing a new era for Swedish House Mafia.

”We missed our UK family and can’t wait to be back to celebrate the release and the new chapter of what’s to come,” said the group in a statement.

Man rewatches shows from his childhood and his recaps of the bonkers storylines are priceless

While there are no doubt some timeless classics from our childhood that remain every bit as amazing as we remember, many are straight-up cringey upon a later viewing. Really, it’s to be expected as societal viewpoints change…sort of a marker of how far we’ve collectively come.

And so, what do we do with these problematic pieces of old-school pop culture? Well, we can certainly update them to better reflect a more modern attitude, but that also comes with a set of potential problems. Or we could simply never watch them again. Certainly an option given all the content out there. But then we might miss an opportunity to better understand what seemed to work for the mainstream then, and why it doesn’t work now.

And then there’s the third option—allow ourselves to be entertained by their cringiness.

That’s certainly the route taken by Rob Anderson. Over on TikTok, Anderson has taken ultra-popular movies and television shows from his childhood and given them hilarious recaps capturing how absurd some of the storylines are.

Take, for example, “Beethoven.” Remember, the cute story about a family who adopts a stray Saint Bernard?

Yeah, as Anderson will kindly remind you, this movie is actually “so messed up.”

@heartthrobert I did NOT rememeber the plot of the movie Beethoven. #90s #90skids #90skid #90sthrowback #90smovies ♬ original sound – Rob Anderson

Not only is the family the “worst owners ever” by never bothering to train Beethoven so he won’t hop onto tables (dumb, but okay), but the dad actually convinces his wife to stop being a stay-at-home mom and start working for him (wait, what?) and, get this, the antagonist is a veterinarian who is secretly hired to test out bullets by shooting dogs in the head (WHOA WHOA WHOA).

How about “The Princess Diaries,” the movie that introduced us to Anne Hathaway and rightfully had Julie Andrews playing a queen?

After watching Anderson’s video, you’ll agree that this popular flick actually “makes no sense.”

First off, a single mom, who’s a mediocre artist at best, lives with her daughter in a beautiful three-story house in San Francisco. Okay, yes, not feasible, even in the 90s. But Hollywood often does that. Big whoop.

It gets weirder though, as Anderson notes that in this story, the fictional country of Genovia will somehow cease to exist without Hathaway taking the throne. Not to mention her character is bullied post-makeover for “being hotter,” gets in trouble with the principal for being royalty and somehow “doesn’t know what fire is.”

The biggest grievance might be towards the end, when people from all over the world gather to celebrate the Genovia Independence Ball at the San Francisco consulate.

“It’s like the U.S. Inauguration happening at our Embassy in Dublin,” Anderson jokes.

Anderson actually has an entire series dedicated to the faith-based family drama “7th Heaven.” Because, let’s face it, there’s just so much to talk about, from “taking in a homeless girl as a pet,” to flipping the bird being treated like the most catastrophic thing imaginable. Yes, these were actual storylines we have all tucked deep in the recesses of our subconscious.

Here are a few for your viewing pleasure.

Anderson’s recaps hold no punches, but at the same time are a completely lighthearted way of pointing out how ridiculous certain things from our childhood are. Sometimes, instead of getting miffed at that which is problematic, we can simply give ourselves a good laugh.

Woman decides that she is the love of her life and marries herself at her retirement home

We joke about marrying ourselves or a platonic friend if some arbitrary amount of time has passed without a proposal from an imaginary suitor. And sure, some people do wind up marrying a friend in more of a business arrangement, but it’s not very common that someone follows through with marrying themselves.

Dorothy “Dottie” Fideli, decided that she was going to break the mold. The 77-year-old sat down and thought about all of the things she had done in life and who was with her the entire time cheering her on. It was an easy answer: herself. She was her biggest cheerleader, the person who always showed up and the love of her life, so Fideli made the plan to marry herself.

On a beautiful May day, friends and family gathered in the O’Bannon Terrace Retirement Community, where Fideli is a resident, to witness the ceremony.

“I have been with myself for 40 years. Something just came over me one day in church that, ‘you want to do something special for yourself,'” Fideli told KCEN.

It was Fideli’s daughter, Donna Pennington, that helped her pull together the emotional ceremony, complete with a wedding dress and an officiant. The grandmother spent most of her life raising her three children and helping to care for her grandchildren, and she felt like it was time to do something for herself.

This isn’t Fideli’s first marriage. She was actually married once before in 1965, but she didn’t get to have a wedding. Fideli and her ex-husband were married in a courthouse ceremony where she wore a black dress and were divorced nine years later. Something tells me that this marriage is going to last a lifetime though.

You can catch a glimpse of her wedding below:
