Here Are All The Musical Cameos In ‘Muppets Mayhem’ Season 1

When the new Disney+ show, The Muppets Mayhem, hit the streaming service with the first season this month, fans were sure to have some celebrity cameos alongside their favorite puppets. And, as the series centers around Dr. Teeth And The Electric Mayhem‘s band working with a record label to make an album, a lot of the surprise guests are famous in the music world.

Chris Stapleton is the first to appear in the opening episode, as one of the first talking heads to share how the fictional band influenced his music. Others in this segment include Lil Nas X and Tommy Lee — who jokingly flashes his “Mayhem” tattoo as a fake nod to the band.

Later in the show’s sequence, the Muppet music crew attends a party where Steve Aoki is the DJ and Billy Corgan from Smashing Pumpkins performs.

Another DJ, Zedd, and Sofia Carson (Disney’s Descendants) play a larger role in the series. Nora, played by Lilly Singh, wants Zedd to produce the band’s album. Carson arrives in the picture as a singer, when the group ultimately decides to give their song to her — and it becomes a massive hit.

Kesha also stops by to help the Muppets along their journey, while she’s trying to collab with them. Ziggy Marley also tries to help the Electric Mayhem find the right direction for their song, putting his own spin on something Kesha originally performed slower. Other collaborators as potential ideas in this part include Desiigner and Deadmau5.

Other mentions for musicians in the rest of the series are The Bangles’ Susanna Hoffs and Paula Abdul.

Last, but absolutely not least, “Weird Al” Yankovic appears in the show as the band is presumably having a drug hallucination. But, of course since it’s Disney+, they just ate some expired marshmallows. What a silly band!

Jimmy Butler And Grant Williams Went Face-To-Face After A Bucket In Game 2

Things get heated when the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat play high-stakes basketball games against one another, which has become a common occurrence in recent years with their frequent postseason matchups. In the fourth quarter of a tense Game 2 in the Eastern Conference Finals, we saw a pair of players go face-to-face and have to be separated.

Grant Williams found himself checking Jimmy Butler, which has been a pretty difficult assignment this postseason for, well, everyone. Despite Williams’ best effort, Butler was able to bulldoze his way into the paint, navigate his way around, and get a bucket while drawing a foul. The two immediately got in one another’s faces and started jawing, and even after they were pulled apart, the two continued to exchange pleasantries.

Because this is Jimmy Butler we’re talking about here, not long after, he decided to go at Williams again by burrowing into the paint, rising up, and finishing through contact. After he got the bucket, there was only one thing Butler could do: bust out a too small gesture.

Our hunch is that, as long as this series goes on, members of the Celtics and Butler are going to have moments like this with one another.

“Pull up in Maybach, yeah, we finna swerve (Skrrt) / Like my bitch stick with a whole lot of curve / They payin’ the kid just to say all these words / Gotta go drop them bands, tryna get you a verse,” Tyler raps through the second verse.

“I’m countin’ pape’ while you sleep, countin’ sheep / Tell your b*tch pour me up, I ain’t sippin’ no tea / Tell that boy tie his lace, ain’t no trippin’ on me / In a Wraith, slidin’ round, b*tch, I’m with DDG,” he adds.

DDG also adds his new third verse after, even tossing a namedrop in for his collaborator. “I heard Luh Tyler wanna f*ck with one of my exes,” he said, before taking some time to comment on his haters. “I be in the blogs, topic of discussion / They say I’m a dog, always gon’ be somethin’ / I do somethin’ positive, they don’t discuss it / But when it be negative, them people love it, huh?”

Meanwhile, the original song continues to rack up streams on various platforms, with this likely giving it another added boost of popularity.

Lizzo Says To Stop Bringing Posters Of Chris Evans To Her Shows, But Her ‘Fine Ass’ Real-Life Man Is Okay

Lizzo took to social media to give fans a PSA: no more Chris Evans posters at her show. During a video she shared to Instagram that was taken at a recent concert, Lizzo stopped the show to thank fans who brought pictures of her actual boyfriend instead.

“I think it was the last show I just played, some had a big ass cutout of Chris Evans’ face,” Lizzo started.

“Chris Evans is not my man,” she added. “My man is [Myke Wright]. He fine as hell. I wanna see his fine ass face when I’m onstage.”

And, it turns out, some fans listened — with two giant cutouts of Wright’s face as they stood at barricade.

“PLEASE don’t keep bringing giant pics of my man I don’t have enough storage,” Lizzo captioned the post. “Thank you Rene & Lucy!”

As some fans might remember, or those unaware who need a refresher, Lizzo’s history with Evans started back in 2021 after she revealed that she drunkenly tried sliding into the actor’s DM’s. Lizzo detailed the encounter on TikTok, but at the time, he hadn’t returned a message until her video went viral.

“The reason I’m upset about this one is because I know I’m not going to be able to marry him,” she said in the clip. “And honestly, it hurts me to the core, because damn, papa, he a rare breed! No comparing!”

“No shame in a drunk DM. God knows I’ve done worse on this app,” Evans wrote back.

Check out Lizzo’s hilarious video message about her preference for posters above.

Beyoncé Recruited ‘Beyhive’ Member Kendrick Lamar For The New Surprise Remix Of ‘America Has A Problem’

Beyoncé might be currently embarking across Europe on her Renaissance Tour, but that hasn’t stopped her from sprinkling in some fun new surprises for fans. As part of a surprise drop tonight, she released a remix to “America Has A Problem” with a new feature from Kendrick Lamar.

In the updated version, Lamar opens the track with a strong and powerful verse — which is typical territory for him.

“My momma told me that the money outgrew you / My horoscope said I’m really out my noodle / I’m troublin’, I’m puzzlin’, it’s sudoku / Say B, yes, America got a problem / Kicked up, choosing love, well, they chose violence,” he raps.

“I’m an honorary Beyhive,” Lamar also jokingly adds.

The duo last collaborated back in 2016, when Lamar appeared on “Freedom” from Beyoncé’s Lemonade album. They would go on to perform it together several times, including at the BET Awards and her closing Formation Tour show in New Jersey, according to Billboard.

“She’s a perfectionist,” he also told Rolling Stone about her previously. “Think about the BET performance. She was very particular – the lighting, the camera blocking, the transition from the music to the dancing. It was confirmation of something I already knew.”

The paper crowns, the fact that they’re in normal clothes except for the red robe and goofy wig, the little detail of the kid being lifted off the horse, the scroll simply reading “Prom?”—it all harkens back to a simpler time before viral when kids would do stuff like this just for the fun of it. People Are Dragging Megyn Kelly After Her Impossibly Bizarre Comments About Kim Petras’ ‘SI’ Swimsuit Cover Not Being Hot Enough To Make Teen Boys Horny

Megyn Kelly is facing pushback online after she tried to say that Kim Petras appearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated would be a turn off to teenage boys, according to Page Six‘s tweet.

“My understanding of the cover of the Sports Illustrated magazine is it has one main purpose and that’s for 15-year-old boys to spend some alone time with it in the bathroom,” Kelly said on her podcast.

Petras was one of four new covers, alongside Megan Fox, Brooks Nader, and Martha Stewart, which are available for purchase next week.

“Ummm why does she care what turns on teen boys?” one person in the replies asked.

Meanwhile, other users are having a field day, saying that teen boys basically do the dumbest sh*t and don’t really care about turn-offs. Or if any of them still even care to purchase a physical magazine cover, as another noted, “Teen boys haven’t bought a sports illustrated since the 80s.”

“Teen boys are using the internet to look at porn Megan not magazines,” a different Twitter user pointed out.

There has also been some focus as to… why she’s focused on what teenagers are attracted to?

“theres something to be said about conservatives obsession with teenagers sexuality, but also teen boys wont be turned off. they’ll pretend not tofind her hot to their friends but they will all secretly find her hot,” someone quoted.

The NBA Is Considering Changing The All-Star Game Format In Search Of ‘Increased Competitiveness’

The NBA didn’t have an especially great All-Star Game in 2023. While we’ve seen some good ones in recent years due to some new additions like the Elam Ending and a pair of captains picking teams, this one was a bit of a stinker, with the players clearly coasting through the entire game en route to a 184-175 win for Team Giannis over Team LeBron.

Apparently, the level of effort that players exert has been a point of contention for folks in the league as the new Collective Bargaining Agreement is being put together. According to Shams Charania and Mike Vorkunov of The Athletic, the NBA and the NBPA are considering going back to the East vs. West format, as there is a concerted effort to try and make the All-Star Game more competitive.

It’s unclear if the Elam Ending, which was adopted in 2020 and has given the league a pair of excellent games in 2020 and 2022, would stay. The NBA used the East vs. West format for years before going to the current format, in which a pair of captains from each conference select teams from a pool of players. This year, the league added a twist to that by having the draft happen live in the arena before the game tipped off.

Jimmy Butler Geeked Out After Ernie Johnson Said Hi To Him

If the 2023 NBA playoffs had a main character, it would very likely be Jimmy Butler. After nearly losing in the Play-In Tournament to the Chicago Bulls, Butler put on a cape in Miami’s first round matchup against the 1-seed Milwaukee Bucks and turned into a superhero, as he was the driving force in one of the great playoff upsets of all time. Butler completely demoralized the Bucks with a herculean 56 point performance and two double-digit fourth quarter comebacks to send the Bucks packing in just five games.

Then, Butler and the Heat visited Madison Square Garden to pull off another playoff series upset — albeit a far less surprising one — against the New York Knicks. For two short weeks, Butler drew the ire from all of New York City and still came out on top. But even though he’s one of the hottest stars in the league, he’s still capable of turning into a fan. Before Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Butler ran into Inside The NBA’s Ernie Johnson and had a delightful reaction to the TNT personality going out of his way to say hi.

Butler is a huge Ernie fan, just like all of us here at Dime. If Butler goes off for 60 points in Game 2, you have to assume this inspired his big night.

Here Are The Sueños Music Festival Set Times For 2023

Next week, the Sueños Music Festival kicks off in Grant Park, Chicago. According to the fest’s website, it is currently 95% sold out — and with very good reason. Across the two days, May 27 and May 28, Grupo Firme, Nicky Jam, Wisin y Yandel, and Feid are headlining.

However, the rest of the lineup is equally stacked, so many attendees might be wondering when they’ll be able to catch their favorite performers. Or if they’ll be any overlap in between the set scheduling.

Here’s what to know about the 2023 festival set times.

The tunes kick off on May 27 starting at noon with DJ Gordo in thirty-minute increments. He will be followed by PaoPao, Yovngchimi, and Gera Mx. From there with Ivy Queen at 2:50 p.m., it increases mostly to fourty minutes, followed by Chencho. With an exception from a thirty-minute set from DJ Miriam at 4:40-5:10, things then return for longer performances.

Arcangel plays from 5:10-5:50, then El Alfa from 6:20. To close out Saturday night, Feid plays 7:30-8:15, and Wisin y Yandel takes the full hour from 9-10 p.m.

As there is only one stage, thankfully, attendees won’t have to worry about hopping across massive festival grounds. Sunday follows a similar schedule format. Some things worth noting are Eladio Carrión from 4:05-4:45 p.m., Becky G starting at 5:15, Nicky Jam at 7:30, and the headliners Grupo Firme starting at 8:50-9:50.

View the full schedule above.
