Josh Hawley, the “shrimp, wimp, coward” senator who ran away from the same January 6th insurrectionists who he previously gave his fist-pumping support to, wrote a book about manhood. It’s called Manhood (clever!), and if Tucker Carlson was still on Fox News, Hawley would be on his show to discuss his fragile male ego (and porn). Instead, he’ll have to rely on good ol’ word-of-mouth marketing to get people to buy Manhood.

Even for a free copy it is overpriced. Hawley’s sanctimonious instruction of how to beat the most dangerous risk to America—not being manly like him—would be sad if it wasn’t so comical. Arrogance isn’t pretty at the best of times; some times it’s just cringe-worthy.

As a frequent epstein guest, Josh brings us an inside look into child trafficking. In this book he describes the best ways for conservatives to have sex with children.

Don’t waste your time on this joke. Clearly shadow written by an aroused teenager.

Hm, maybe people are nicer on Goodreads.

Manhood: man-hood noun 1. The act of raising a fist, while protected by barricades and Capitol police, to the treasonous masses you’re attempting to fleece, then fleeing like Chicken Little when the same insurrectionists actually storm the Capitol building you’re cowering in.

Not even Josh Hawley can embody his toxic ideal of masculinity. Sad.

Who would read a book about manhood but an utterly feckless, cowardly excuse of a human being. Real men have honor. Josh Hawley is a prideful, self-serving narcissist cosplaying being a man. He knows nothing about honor and bravery unless it coincides with making him look good.

How does a dude who runs away from the angry mob he helped create know anything about being a good human, much less “manhood.” Toxic masculinity isn’t equal to being a good man. Being a good man is being kind, loving, available, open, strong, treating others as equals…none of the attributes Hawley has ever publicly presented.

The idea that Josh Hawley wants to help us be better men is beyond laughable. Admittedly, I only read 40% of the book, but I just couldn’t punish my sensibilities any further. I did go to the trouble of thoroughly researching (or as far as publicly-available info would allow me) Mr. Hawley, and if he’s the prototype for masculinity, then I’m a raging testosterone-flooded monster. Anyone who knows me would contest that — I’m just a good father and husband who was taught how to be a REAL man by my grandfather, one of the toughest, but gentlest, fairest and most responsible person, man or woman, I’ve ever known. Hawley disgraces the real men in this world by the mere fact he would dare preach to others on “how to be a man”. If Mr. Hawley IS the quintessential male, then please, cut my balls off now.

On the plus side for Hawley, Manhood is #1 on Amazon’s “Best Sellers in Political Conservatism & Liberalism” list. That puts it eight spots ahead of The Courage to Be Free: Florida’s Blueprint for America’s Revival by Ron DeSantis. What do the books have in common? They’re both about d*cks.

The Coca-Cola® Transformation Team, formed by Coca-Cola® and Warner Music Group’s WMX, has discovered some of music’s next crossover acts thanks to their talent search inspired by Coca-Cola® Move. So far, their journey has brought forth budding acts, Canada’s Kallitechnis and Puerto Rico’s Eduardo María. Next on the growing roster is singer and songwriter San Cha.

Based in Highland Park, California, with Mexican heritage, San Cha’s music has traveled just as much as she has in her creative pursuits. San Cha’s traditionally focused music has already begun to gain recognition, as evidenced by her song “Desesperada” being featured on the Showtime series Vida. Revered for her ranchera and goth music blends, San Cha carried that raw vulnerability over into her stripped-down The Eye performance.

In the series, acts are challenged to deliver a raw one-take musical performance showcasing who they are as artists. For San Cha, her song “Levanta Dolores” was just the right fit. When asked why she selected the song, the singer replied, “I wanted to conceptualize this Telenovela story,” adding that song’s duality was the deciding factor.

“There’s this man portion of it, and there a danity sad female. This song is just crying. Crying. Desperation — but exaggerated,” said San Cha.

Conscious of how this will appear on camera, San Cha says, “I would like to be simultaneously losing myself in the performance but concise of lighting, camera [angles], and performing with it. I think we’re all performing together.”

When asked about preparing for The Eye performance, San Cha shared, “With music, it feels like it is all about freedom and letting yourself go. When the music actually takes over you, you want to move. You want to dance. You want to do whatever it is asking you to do. I feel the most free when I’m belting,” continuing, “When the voice is taking up all this space, it feels like, ‘oh, I’m connected.’”

As Jack Harlow prepares for the release of his film debut, White Men Can’t Jump, he recently took some time to reflect on the success of his most recent album, Jackman. The album was a comparative success, debuting at No. 1 on the Top Rap Albums chart and No. 8 on the Billboard 200 despite making no obvious bids for mainstream popularity and only having a week of lead time.

Harlow tweeted his appreciation for the album’s warm reception, thanking both fans and peers for their support. “2 weeks have passed,” he wrote. “I just wanna say the love & respect I’ve felt from not only my peers… but from YALL… the fans… the folks that have supported me from the beginning… it feels f***in amazing… I have never felt so connected to the people listening to my music… thank you.”

While the album’s popularity certainly benefitted Jack, there was some unexpected fallout. The garage featured on the album’s cover was vandalized shortly after its release, while Machine Gun Kelly decided the time was opportune to drop a diss track directed at Harlow. However, he seems to be shrugging it all off, and with White Men Can’t Jump hitting Hulu this weekend, he’s riding high.

Music Midtown, an annual festival at Atlanta’s Piedmont Park, has officially unveiled the 2023 lineup. And fans have a lot to be excited about. Billie Eilish, The 1975, P!nk, Lil Baby, Flume, and Guns N’ Roses are headlining the three-day festival, which runs September 15 to 17.

Other acts playing that weekend include Pitbull, Niall Horan, Tove Lo, Thirty Seconds To Mars, JID, Incubus, GloRilla, Destroy Lonely, Fletcher, Lizzy McAlpine, Louis The Child, and many more. Considering the performers span a range of genres, there is an opportunity for various music lovers to catch some of their favorite acts — or even a fun new discovery.

The Music Midtown will also be offering some extra thrills besides just music. Keeping with festival tradition, their food vendors will have options for vegetarians and vegans. There will also be “interactive experiences” on the grounds and a ferris wheel to take in the city views.

Fans can now sign up for presale opportunities for 3-day passes and a “limited number” of single-day tickets, according to a press release. There are also GA+, VIP, and Super VIP pass tiers, which include exclusive entrances, viewing areas, complimentary drinks, and more special perks. The presale will open this Thursday, May 18 at 10 a.m. ET. If tickets remain, a general on-sale will be held.

Warning: Succession spoilers ahead.

It was a tough loss for the Shiv fans on the latest episode of Succession. Sure, she’s been dealing with some of her own real stuff, but she’s also been in cahoots with the suddenly well-dressed enemy and his golden bomber jacket.

Throughout the season, Shiv had been secretly working with Matsson and his weird little jokes to keep the sale going in order to land herself a higher position at the forthcoming media conglomerate. Shiv was hesitant to declare Mencken the winning candidate because if Mencken wins, the deal goes away. You could see her realization in her eyes at the moment when her reality came crashing down on her as Kendall finds out about her and Matsson. But how did that man, who clearly has his own stuff going on, realize what was happening?

After Shiv lied about calling Nate, Kendall asked her what they talked about. She stumbled a bit before Kendall decided to take matters into his own hands and give him a call, where it was revealed that Nate and Shiv never spoke. After this moment, Kendall goes to Greg, and that’s when Shiv knows it’s really over for her, because Greg is the last person you want in your business.

Her brothers then proceed to mock her and her questionable choices by making fun of her stutter, which is how you know the sibling fight has taken a turn for the worse. It will be hard to see her get out of this one.

On the bright side, we had one positive sibling interaction that we can live off of for the time being!

The windy city should prepare to feel the rugged breeze of rock music lovers headed to the area in September. Riot Fest 2023 is set to take over Chicago’s Douglass Park between September 15th and 17th. Across the three days, several dozen music acts will shred the stage. However, the headlining talents are Foo Fighters, Death Cab For Cutie, and The Cure.

On Friday, September 15, Foo Fighters and Turnstile are top-billed, whereas The Postal Service, Death Cab For Cutie, and Queens Of The Stone Age will take over duties on Saturday, September 16. The festival will be closed out by The Cure and The Mars Volta.

Other notable acts include The Gaslight Anthem returning after an 11 years hiatus at the festival, Tegan And Sara, Death Grips, Bayside, The Aquadolls, and PUP.

Despite the characteristically rock-focused lineup, a few users on social media were actually angered to see non-tradition indie acts on the bill, including rapper 070 Shake, hyper-pop act 100 Gecs, and funk legends Parliament Funkadelic featuring George Clinton.

To that, the person in charge of the festival’s Twitter account replied, “Just remember that I (the person who runs this Twitter account) am solely responsible for all of the lineup and booking choices, and I care very deeply about your opinions and will treat any of your dumb complaints with exactly the respect they deserve.”

The Las Vegas Aces will start their title defense without head coach Becky Hammon, as the WNBA’s highest-paid coach will serve a two-game suspension to begin the season for violating the league’s Respect in the Workplace policies.

Along with the suspension of Hammon, the Aces will forfeit their 2025 first round pick (having already traded their 2024 pick) for a violation of impermissible benefits while negotiating an extension with Hamby. The punishment handed down by the league concludes a months long investigation into allegations from Hamby that she was “traumatized” by the way she was treated after being traded to the Sparks by the Aces following her announcement in the fall that she was pregnant.

Being traded is part of the business. Being lied to, bullied, manipulated, and discriminated against is not. I have had my character and work ethic attacked. I was promised things to entice me to sign my contract extension that were not followed through on. I was accused of signing my extension knowingly pregnant. This is false. I was told that I was ‘a question mark’ and that it was said that I said I would “get pregnant again” and there was a concern for my level of commitment to the team.

The league found that those comments apparently came from Hammon and were deemed a violation of league policies. The WNBA’s official statement does not expound on what was found beyond there being “comments made by Hammon to Hamby in connection with Hamby’s recent pregnancy.”

The investigation also looked into allegations the Aces were circumventing league rules about paying players and providing impermissible benefits this offseason as they landed Candace Parker and others to bolster their roster, but found no evidence of that being the case.

Leaving your phone number with a brand at the checkout is always a gamble. On the other hand, sometimes a company goes too far. No, I’m not talking about selling your phone number to scammers and cold-callers, I’m talking about waking up to weird texts with heavy sexual innuendos, like Fashion Nova shoppers did this morning. The text promised ‘The BIGGEST one you’ve ever seen” followed by the eggplant emoji, some shifty eyes, and a wink.

We all know that the eggplant emoji is the universal language for “dick” and paired with the shifty eyes… and winking face — look, a lot of emojis translate to “horny sex stuff” and I know marketers have to do their job and create interest in their customer base, but there are probably a million other ways to advertise a 50% off sale. Just think of all the people who must’ve checked this text half-asleep. We’re not all morning people, some of us don’t have the mental capacity to get a joke that early in the morning.

As a result, a lot of people took to Twitter this morning to say that Fashion Nova has gone too far. Whether you liked the text or not, we can all agree that Fashion Nova are some freaks. In a fun way.

At last count, vasectomy candidate Nick Cannon has welcomed 12 children into this world. And he wishes he had another one, too. Silly Nick Cannon.

By all accounts, all parties remain largely pleased by whatever arrangements have been made in this situation. Cannon, however, admitted that he screwed up this year for Mother’s Day. This was bound to happen eventually, right? It’s like he’s Santa Claus during this holiday or something.

As pointed out by The Daily Beast, Cannon took to his podcast, The Daily Cannon, and revealed how he had screwed up by “doing handwritten messages from the heart,” but he sent them to the wrong women. And “one baby mama [read] the card about how I feel about the other baby mama,” which sounds so cringeworthy.

Cannon appeared to then resolve to go generic from here on out. We’ll see how that goes next year. He may have two more kids by then, you never know. Yet he sees the humor in the situation and even posted a reel to Instagram, so we can all be happy that we don’t have twelve kids, too. “I tried my BEST but #MothersDay didn’t go as planned this year!” he wrote. No kidding.

Miley Cyrus has her sights on the next single from her recent album, Endless Summer Vacation, as she dropped the new music video for “Jaded.”

An early teaser found the pop star lying topless on her bed, which opens the music video. It also is interspersed with shots of Cyrus in a gold swimsuit and outdoor scenery, keeping with the chill-but-emotional anthem.

“I know it was wrong, but never said I was sorry / Now I’ve had time to think it over / We’re much older and the bone’s too big to bury,” Cyrus sings in the song. “And it’s a f*ckin’ shame that it ended like that / You broke your own arm, but you’d never say that / We went to Hell, but we never came back.”

Considering it serves as her reflection on a past failed relationship, presumably about Liam Hemsworth, the lyrics convey all the messy and emotional thoughts that come with it.

Cyrus’ lead single from the album, “Flowers,” was her post-breakup take on being a self-reliant woman who is now completely free to do what she wants. This also paid off immensely, as it became her biggest hit on the Billboard charts. Here’s hoping “Jaded” can see a similar fate.
