Joe Rogan Floated A Wild Theory About Democrats Are Plotting To ‘Get Rid Of’ Biden By ‘Slowly’ Releasing ‘Stuff’

After experiencing a brief moment of reason on account of the Barbie movie, Joe Rogan is back to openly peddling conspiracy theories. This time around, Rogan is accusing Democrats of concocting a secret plot to get Joe Biden off the 2024 ticket by slowly releasing evidence of his “corruption.” The “corruption” that Rogan is talking about is, of course, the ongoing Republican investigations into Hunter Biden’s business dealings.

“I’m an armchair conspiracy theorist, but if I had to guess, I would say that all this stuff that’s coming out slowly but surely about Biden is on purpose. They want to get rid of him,” Rogan said via Mediaite. “I think he wants to run again. And I don’t think the Democrats think that he can win. I think they’re right. And I think they’re going to slowly but surely expose more of these like very clear pieces of evidence of corruption.”

Where Rogan’s theory falls apart is the fact that President Biden has yet to be implicated in Hunter’s foreign deals. In fact, the Republican’s latest witness, Devon Archer, testified that Biden never talked business with his son. So much for “very clear pieces of evidence.”

If that wasn’t enough to deflate Rogan’s theory, the podcaster later admitted that Biden can beat Trump again, which eliminates the need for the Democrats to “get rid of him.”

“The only way Biden’s going to win again is ‘Never Trump,’” Rogan said. “These ‘Never Trump’ people. There are people that will vote for a f*cking box of hammers before they would vote for Trump. And that’s a real segment of our population. I don’t know what percentages, but it’s probably fairly high.”

Jean Dawson Shares ‘DESTRUCTION FOR DUMMIES,’ PT. 2 JEAN DAWSON AS ‘NIGHTMARE’ From His Trilogy

In May, Jean Dawson followed up Chaos Now* with the first installment of a trilogy called XCAPE, which included songs “youth+” and “delusional world champion.” The second part is of the trilogy is out now, titled “DESTRUCTION FOR DUMMIES,” PT. 2 JEAN DAWSON AS “NIGHTMARE,” containing dynamic tracks “NO SCOPE,” “X-RAY,” and “VEXED.”

The music is atmospheric, with “VEXED” finding the eclectic musician in an introspective flow: “I only sleep when I’m stressed / Smoking cigarettes throwing up / Putting off sh*t for fun / I don’t own nobody none,” he raps. Instead of going with his typically noisy sound, he finds power in a brooding, low-key ambiance that sheds more light on his dreamlike vocals.

“Phoenix is a boy on the fringe,” he explained previously about the trilogy. “He is described to write with the tenacity of Kurt Cobain and the subversive subjectivity of a David Bowie. Using himself as a mirror for whoever decides to look at him because he is a product of the world rather than a product of perceived individuality. He is a manifestation of misunderstanding unawareness. His ideas are flirtatious, asymmetric and brash outwardly contradicted by his own lack of personal identity. Phoenix is only as real as the listener listening.”

Selena Gomez Is ‘Single Soon’ On Her Upcoming Song, Which Will Be Her First Solo Record Of 2023

Selena Gomez’s 2022 was punctuated by her AppleTV+ documentary, My Mind & Me, and the promotional press cycle around it. Gomez told Rolling Stone that she’d written 24 songs for her next album and touched on the “My Mind & Me” single she released around the documentary.

“‘My Mind & Me’ is a little sad, but it’s also a really nice way of putting a button on the documentary part of life, and then it’ll just be fun stories of me living my life and going on dates and having conversations with myself,” Gomez told the publication. “I feel like it’s going be an album that’s like, ‘Oh, she’s not in that place anymore; she’s actually just living life.’”

Gomez similarly told Jimmy Fallon that she was “ready to have some fun” with her next batch of music. Well, we’ll soon get a sense of what she’s been talking about.

This morning, August 17, Gomez announced that she will release “Single Soon” on August 25. It will be released alongside a 7″ vinyl with “Single Soon” on the A-side and an instrumental version on the B-Side. Pre-order the vinyl here.

“Y’all have been asking for new music for a while. Since I’m not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer. SINGLE SOON. August 25th. Presave it now,” Gomez captioned an Instagram carousel featuring the single artwork (shot by Hunter Moreno) and behind-the-scenes photos.

Per the press release, “Single Soon” was produced by Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat.

Gomez’s last LP was Rare in 2020. The Grammy-nominated Revelación EP, her first Spanish project, arrived in 2021. Despite the gap in solo releases, Gomez has maintained a strong presence with “Calm Down,” a platinum-certified Afrobeats anthem with Rema, peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spending eight weeks at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Radio Songs chart.

Gomez is also currently starring in the third season of Hulu’s Only Murders In The Building, which has surprisingly sprung a potential hit from Meryl Streep.

When Does Usher’s Las Vegas Residency End?

Usher’s Las Vegas residency has turned out to be quite eventful, but all good things must come to an end eventually. Today it was announced that Usher’s residency only has 12 more shows left. The newly announced final dates are:

November 2023: 3, 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, 22, 24, 25, 29
December 2023: 1, 2

My Way The Vegas Residency generated a flurry of headlines earlier this year when the star serenaded actress/singer Keke Palmer during a show in July. Internet personality Darius Jackson, aka Darius Daulton, the father of Palmer’s son, responded poorly, tweeting, “It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom.” Elaborating on his thoughts, he argued, “We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is. This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”

Unfortunately for him, though, very few folks agreed with him, and Palmer — after apparently breaking up with him for the public embarrassment — poked fun at the incident multiple times. After creating merch addressing it, she teamed up with Usher in the video for “Boyfriend,” in which Usher sings, “Somеbody said that your boyfriend’s lookin’ for me / Oh, that’s cool, that’s cool / Well he should know I’m pretty easy to find / Just look for me wherever he sees you.”

Funnily enough, the whole situation seemed to put a stop to Usher’s serenades — at least, of his most famous guests. While Saweetie kept her cool during their session, Winnie Harlow straight up avoided him by hopping into her boyfriend’s lap. We’ll see if Usher’s show sparks anymore controversy before December 2.

Do You Have To Watch ‘Power’ Before ‘Power Book IV: Force?’

On September 1, Power Book IV: Force will return to STARZ for its second season. The series is the third spin-off in the Power Universe following Power Book II: Ghost and Power Book III: Raising Kanan, and it presents Tommy Egan at the center of it. The events in Power Book IV: Force take place in Chicago after Tommy stops there temporarily en route to his original destination of California. Soon enough, Tommy finds himself in the middle of the city’s drug game with new partners and a goal of taking over the throne — regardless of who is in his way.

Do You Have To Watch Power Before Power Book IV: Force?

With the Power Universe set to begin a new season with the return of Power Book IV: Force next month, you may decide to pick this as a starting point if you have yet to indulge in the Power Universe. This wouldn’t be a bad decision as the spin-offs — Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, and Power Book IV: Force — are not connected to each. With that, you don’t have to watch one to understand the others. However, this isn’t the case with the original series Power.

Power is where we originally meet Tommy Egan who was a longtime business partner and friend of that show’s main character, James “Ghost” St. Patrick. It’s through this show’s six seasons that fans of the Power Universe understood the overall character that is Tommy. So without watching Power before Power Book IV: Force, there will be some context missing about Tommy Egan. You won’t fully understand why he moved from New York to Chicago, the origins of his relationship with Liliana and his mother, his up-and-down relationship with Ghost, the significance of his car, and so much more. Power Book IV: Force is watchable without this context, but it makes it so much more enjoyable with it.

‘Power Book IV: Force’ returns on September 1 on STARZ.

Tony Khan Is Ready For AEW’s ‘Single Biggest Opportunity’ At All In

When the Jacksonville Jaguars played host to the Denver Broncos at London’s Wembley Stadium in October last year, fans caught a clip that featured star quarterback Trevor Lawrence and Blackpool Combat Club member Claudio Castagnoli as part of a promotional shoot for AEW’s English TV partner, ITV.

That brief crossover was Tony Khan’s early work in planting the seeds for the wrestling promotion’s eventual European debut. Khan, AEW’s founder and the Jags’ chief football strategy officer, has known for a long time that he wanted to run his first London show at Wembley, but admits the outpouring of interest has exceeded even their very optimistic early projections.

“We stand on the verge of breaking so many historical milestones,” Khan tells Uproxx Sports. “Certainly this will be the biggest wrestling event ever in Europe and one of the biggest events in history.”

As of this writing, AEW has sold more than 80,000 tickets and stands less than 800 tickets away from breaking the all-time paid ticket sales record — per WrestleTix, WWE set that record by selling 80,709 tickets for WrestleMania 32.

AEW has known of the significant interest in a large-scale show abroad, but Khan admits that Wembley wasn’t the only venue the promotion considered for its first All In show. Khan also considered Craven Cottage, the oldest football stadium in London and home to the Premier League’s Fulham FC, which boasts a record attendance of 49,335 from a soccer match in 1938. (Khan serves as the vice chairman and director of football operations for the club.)

“There’s two places I thought about,” Khan says. “One is also very dear to my heart, and that’s Craven Cottage. Wembley is, for a pro wrestling event, the more economical choice for many reasons. In that, you can have much more capacity for attendance since Wembley is a larger stadium by far, and also, the same wonderful charms of Craven Cottage and all the history of that magnificent venue. (Craven Cottage) poses so many challenges to loading in a pro wrestling event and it would cost millions more to produce the event at Craven Cottage than at Wembley.”

For Khan, the magnitude of this show hasn’t set in yet, although he calls it the “single biggest opportunity” the promotion has ever had. It follows the trend of taking a leap of faith like the Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes did at the original All In back in 2018, which made history as a self-promoted independent show that sold 10,000 tickets.

The group that puts the Elite in All Elite Wrestling recently committed their collective futures to the promotion and are expected to be heavily involved in the show. The Young Bucks will feature prominently in another dream showdown with FTR over the AEW World Tag Team Championships, while Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, and Kota Ibushi will face off against Juice Robinson, Jay White, and Takeshita.

“Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks have been a huge part of what we do since the very beginning, both in the ring and backstage,” Khan says. “AEW started when I first spoke to The Young Bucks about this idea that I wanted to launch a pro wrestling promotion and I was trying to get people to support it. Hangman Page is one of our first champions, a great world champion and also a great world tag team champion and one of our top stars. And I think all four of them are a huge part of the the identity of the company.”

MJF versus Adam Cole for the AEW World Championship is the main event, featuring one of the best enemies-turned-friends storylines in some time. The Fatal 4-way match between Hikaru Shida, Toni Storm, Saraya, and Britt Baker is sure to be a barnburner for the AEW Women’s Championship. Chris Jericho against Will Ospreay is a match that’s been years in the making. The just-announced Stadium Stampede will be a brawl between the Blackpool Combat Club, Eddie Kingston, Best Friends, and Lucha Bros.

And then, there’s Sting.

Khan says the opportunity to spotlight the icon’s return to the ring is the one thing he never truly expected to happen in AEW.

“Sting stepped away from pro wrestling for several years and by all indications, he was going to retire. He felt he had a great run in him alongside his tag team partner, Darby Allin. He’s had some of the most exciting and memorable matches in AEW in the last several years and Sting has accumulated an undefeated record where Sting is, in many ways, the most successful wrestler in AEW,” Khan says.

“Every time he steps in the ring we try to pay tribute to his great career and how honored we are to have Sting with us. I think this will be one of the great memories we’ve been able to make for Sting in AEW. Sting and Darby Allin. Darby’s old friends, Swerve Strickland and A.R. Fox in a coffin match, in front of the biggest paid crowd ever to watch Sting wrestle in his entire amazing career.”

With a loaded roster and interest at its highest since launching the promotion, Khan has big aspirations and wants to continue hosting large-scale events in North America, Europe, and other continents as well. With matches still to be announced, All In’s card is living up to the billing as one of the biggest events in wrestling history.

But despite that, the future of the All In event is unclear. When asked if we can expect it as an annual event, Khan admitted there’s “a lot to consider.”

“In addition to the live event, also on the media rights landscape, there are a lot of interesting things happening,” Khan continues. “We’re very focused on these events. Doing this for the first time to have AEW All In on August 27th, followed by AEW All Out the next weekend.”

Fans can tune in live to watch All In on August 27 on traditional pay-per-view, through Bleacher Report, and internationally through FITE.

Trump Is Demanding That Fox News Stop Using The ‘Worst Pictures’ Of Him, Especially The Ones Where He Looks ‘Big’ And ‘Orange’

Donald Trump, who once said that only he could “save” Fox News, has once again lashed out at the news network for what he considers unfavorable coverage. And an unflattering choice of photos.

“Why doesn’t Fox and Friends show all of the Polls where I am beating Biden, by a lot. They just won’t do it!” he wrote on Truth Social, with the tone of Lrrr from Futurama asking “why does Ross, the largest friend, not simply eat the other friends?” He continued, “Also, they purposely show the absolutely worst pictures of me, especially the big “orange” one with my chin pulled way back. They think they are getting away with something, they’re not. Just like 2016 all over again… And then they want me to debate!”

“The big ‘orange’ one with my chin pulled back”? You’re going to have be more specific, Don.

This is Trump’s second attack against in Fox News in two days. On Wednesday, he complained that the network is “going all out, just as they did in 2016, to figure who in this very large, but failing, Republican field, can beat your favorite President, Donald John Trump. They use only the most negative polls, which are still great for me, and do everything possible to show that they still have a chance.” He also wrote that he’s the only candidate “beating, by a lot, Crooked Joe Biden, the WORST ‘P’ EVER!”

Trump should be thrown in prison for shortening president to “P” alone.

Los Angeles Lakers Offseason Report Card

After a disastrous start to the 2022-23 season, the Los Angeles Lakers made some wholesale changes at the deadline that turned their fortunes around, leading to a run to the Western Conference Finals where they were swept by the Denver Nuggets. Since winning a title in 2020, the Lakers had spent the last few offseasons turning over the majority of their roster each summer because all they could really do was sign players to short-term minimum or mid-level deals.

This summer, Rob Pelinka made clear that he wanted to keep most of their foundation intact after a conference finals run, recognizing the need for continuity going into Darvin Ham’s second season as head coach. As such, the Lakers looked to re-sign their top free agents around LeBron James and Anthony Davis, while looking to the outside to round out the roster and add some rotational upgrades. After doing so much work to overhaul the roster at the deadline, the Lakers main goal was to not undo all that hard work in finally putting together a mostly coherent rotation by seeing top contributors leave for other teams.

Here we’ll grade out the Lakers offseason moves in the Draft, free agency and contract extensions, and on the trade market.

Draft: B

The Lakers actually got to use their first round pick for the first time in a long time, and used that selection on Jalen Hood-Schifino out of Indiana. The 6’6 guard has a strong defensive pedigree, which surely intrigued head coach Darvin Ham, and if he can make strides on the offensive end it’s not hard to see the vision for him as a helpful part of the rotation in the future. Our Brad Rowland gave the Lakers a B for the selection on Draft night, with the following as the explanation for that grade.

Hood-Schifino’s efficiency at Indiana left a lot to be desired this season, which is definitely worth noting. There are caveats, including the fact that Indiana’s offensive structure was not conducive to his individual success, and Hood-Schifino does have very good tools when it comes to size and pick-and-roll ability. He’s also a stout defender, and if he can figure out the offensive side within a smaller role, the Lakers can maximize him.

The Lakers also added Maxwell Lewis out of Pepperdine with the 40th overall pick, adding a wing with some scoring punch who hopes to be the Lakers latest second round/UDFA success story.

Free Agency/Contract Extensions: A-

For what the Lakers had available to spend, they did incredibly well on the free agent market this summer. Re-signing Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves were at the top of the to-do list, and they were able to get Reaves, in particular, on a very team friendly deal after he wasn’t able to land a larger offer sheet from an outside team, allowing the Lakers to simply sign him to the 4-year, $54 million deal that was the max they were allowed to offer. They also were able to re-sign D’Angelo Russell to a 2-year, $37 million deal that keeps him around for at least one more year after he had an excellent finish to the regular season in his return to L.A., but struggled in the playoffs. Keeping those three around allows the Lakers to carry some continuity over to next season, something they haven’t done the past few years, but they also added some more rotational depth with a few external signings as well.

The biggest one was signing Gabe Vincent to a 3-year, $33 million deal to bolster their guard rotation even further, adding one of the breakout stars of the Heat’s run to the Finals a year ago. The Lakers also signed Taurean Prince on the bi-annual exception as well as Jaxson Hayes and Cam Reddish on minimums to round out their bench unit with some former lottery talents that they’ll hope can find success in smaller roles in Los Angeles. Vincent is the headliner of the group and is a particularly important addition as the Lakers needed to add players who have proven they can play at their best in the postseason. Adding another shot-creator who is a solid defender will give Ham another backcourt option in the playoffs, which we saw last year they did not have enough of, particularly given Russell’s shooting woes.

Finally, the Lakers worked out a new, $186 million extension with Anthony Davis, ensuring they have their star center in town through 2028. Inking Davis long-term ensures they won’t have to replace both of their superstars in the next few years, as LeBron will eventually call it a career for real.

Overall, the Lakers kept the most important members of last year’s rotation while also upgrading their backcourt and wing situations, and signed one of their two superstars long-term. That’s a very successful summer and this team looks to be better on paper than what they closed last season with, with the biggest concern coming into the season their frontcourt depth behind Davis. They will be quite thin at center, with Hayes as the only other player taller than 6’10 on the main roster, and are thus highly dependent on Davis playing a lot during the regular season and/or playing a lot of small ball.

Trades: INC

The Lakers have stayed out of trade rumors and dealings this summer, doing all of their roster work in free agency and the Draft. It would not be surprising if they end up in the mix for a reserve big man by the time the trade deadline comes around, but for now it seems they’re happy to let others be the focus of the major trade rumblings for once.

Earlier this year, Coi Leray unveiled her LP Coi. But, the Twitter account Hip Hop All Day shared a list showing that it is one of Spotify’s most-streamed rap albums of the year so far.

She quote-tweeted the tweet, writing, “This why idgaf wat nun of y’all haten ass weirdos have to say about me. F*ck a validation ! I ain’t NEVER gonna stop having fun with this sh*t . Ever. Thanks to all my supporters. Amazing albums.”

I’m in no rush for you to notice.”

She continued, “lol I’m that girl. Real life. Offline. In the booth. On the stage. On the red carpet. On the radio. Overseas. And that’s just what it is. Shout out to my b*tches who stay true to them selves and dgaf what nobody has to say!”
