How Much Are Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Guts World Tour’ Tickets?

Fans are anxious to get their hands on tickets to see Olivia Rodrigo. Today (September 13), the “bad idea, right?” hitmaker announced her Guts World Tour, just days after dropping her sophomore album, Guts. And given how a lot of pre-sales in recent memory have proven disastrous, Rodrigo and her team are working extra hard to make sure that fans get their hands on tickets.

Fans can register for the pre-sale beginning now until September 17 at 10 p.m. EST. The presale will take place on September 20 and 21.

According to a press release that accompanied the tour announcement, standard tickets will range from $49.50 to $199.50 plus taxes and applicable fees in the US.

In addition to these tickets, Rodrigo also plans to launch Silver Star tickets — a limited amount of $20 tickets that fans can purchase in pairs. These tickets within the venue will include limited-view seats, lower, and upper-level seating, as well as the floor, with the exact location of each seat to be revealed on the day of the show upon pick-up from the box office.

VIP packages and charity platinum packages will also be available for purchase, and a portion of those proceeds will go toward Rodrigo’s Fund 4 Good, benefitting organizations that champion girls’ education, support reproductive rights and prevent gender-based violence.

A guy may have met his ‘dream girl’ at a bar but she only gave him part of her phone number

A woman named Jackie pulled a move straight out of a romantic comedy recently, and it has the internet rallying around her potential love interest. Jackie met a guy at a bar and liked him so much that she gave him her phone number. Well, 80% of her number, that is.

The world heard about it on January 17 when Twitter user Henpecked Hal shared a picture of the napkin with her partial phone number written on it. “My 22-year-old cousin met his dream girl at a bar and it’s going pretty well,” Hal wrote in the tweet.

“Call me! 512-3*1-2*04,” the message read, along with “I’m worth it.” The 512 is an area code in Austin, Texas.

After congratulating his cousin on meeting his “dream girl,” he asked: “Did you get her number.” The cousin replied, “most of it.” The Tweet also attached a photo of a list of phone numbers the cousin called to try and get in touch with the elusive Jackie.

The tweet has gone insanely viral, racking up nearly 60,000 retweets, 85.6 million views and 776,000 likes.

The next day, Hal revealed that the woman reached out to him. In the screenshot of her message, she wrote: “Heeeyyy, so you likely won’t see this but I’m Jackie from the tweet!”

“Tell your cousin that next time I see him I’m going to…” she continued, but Hal blurred out the rest of the message to conceal her identity.

“I just talked to him! WHAT’S YOUR NUMBER????” Hal replied. “He said he’s halfway through the list, which means he’s actually like 10 per cent of the way through it.”

“He may not be as clever as he thinks,” Jackie responded, “give me HIS number, I’m taking over this operation.”

A lot of people in the comments said they thought Jackie was cold or arrogant for playing hard to get and making poor Hal’s cousin try 100 different numbers to find out which one was her. But Hal says that it’s all an extension of the conversation the two had at the bar.

“For the people saying she’s arrogant, high maintenance or whatever: these kids talked for an hour about a shared interest in true crime, mysteries, etc,” Hal tweeted. “My cousin bragged that he always solves the case before the show ends (editor’s note: not this time). I think she’s awesome.”

So, all Jackie did was give him another mystery to solve. If he’s such a great amateur detective then he should be able to reach her, right?

Some people in the comments have suggested that the story is fake. One person noted that the notebook page with the phone numbers on it had an indentation at the top which could be the “5” in Jackie’s phone number from the napkin. The implication is that Hal wrote on the napkin while it was on top of the notebook, leaving an indentation. But other people pointed out that the writing didn’t match.

Through everything, Hal has received a ton of support from people on Twitter trying to help his cousin’s love life.

“The programmers who sent scripts and code, the excel junkies who sent me docs to share with my cousin, y’all are wild,” Hal tweeted. “I couldn’t come close to getting back to everyone, but I appreciate it.”

Nearly 90 million people have followed the story of Hal’s cousin and Jackie. Let’s hope there’s a happy ending or at least they get to meet up and see each other again to talk about the mystery that brought them both together.

You’ve been threading needles wrong your whole life

For years, you have been squinting, licking your fingers, or doing whatever you can do get a really tiny end of a thread into an even tinier hole, and thinking, [infomercial host voice] “THERE’S GOT TO BE A BETTER WAY!” Well, kids, there is, and you’re about to feel both relieved and dumb.

Twitter user John Bick shared a video from a crafting site that went viral for being extremely helpful.

People couldn’t believe it. Instead of threading the needle through the hole, shake it down and go from there.

Even GEORGE COSTANZA himself is amazed by this innovation.

Someone created a video of what it’s like to party in your 30s and it’s internet gold

Something happens at some unknown point in your 30s where partying no longer looks the same as it did when you were in your early 20s. There’s no real warning. In fact, sometimes it happens mid-party. You’re having a good time dancing, taking a Jägerbomb, then you slowly feel the youthful excitement drift from your body.

You realize you have a big meeting Monday you have to prepare for and you’d rather hear your cat’s best motorcycle impression than spend one more second being bumped into by sweaty people in the club. And just like that, a different partying expectation is formed. One where you know that dropping it low may mean that you can’t get back up.

Where sensible shoes take priority and you’re not going if there aren’t comfortable chairs, a reasonable end time and music at an acceptable decibel level. Malena Tudi, perfectly captured what it’s like to party in your 30s, it’s instantly clear that bumping and grinding with strangers isn’t on the list.

In the video uploaded to TIkTok where it got over 18.3 million views and 2.6 million likes, a group of people gathered close but not too close watch as someone squirts mustard on the floor while house music blasts. The room is lit to look like it’s some sort of nightclub, but everyone is wearing sweatpants and other comfortable clothes. When the man is finishes squeezing the condiment on the floor, another man pulls out a Tineco mop-vac. The party goers, including the one holding the vacuum drop their jaws in shock as the device cleans the area with no streaks or left over residue.

The room was collectively shook at what they just witnessed. A vacuum that mops and vacuums at the same time efficiently, they thought their eyes were deceiving them. But it was in fact reality. Commenters agreed that the mop-vac is amazing and shared stories of their own experiences of parties in their 30s.

“The last party I was at we all spent approx 45 min discussing a crockpot someone brought dip in, I bought one from Amazon while still at the party,” one person writes along with including a weary face emoji.

“I have the superfecta, Tineco, Dyson, Crockpot and airfrier [sic]. my 30s be Wilding,” someone says.

“I look forward to my weekends so I can hit my pen and walk around Ikea for hours,” another person writes.

Clearly, partying in your 30s is a whole different vibe that involves a lot less dancing and a lot more showing off new appliances. Now watch these guys party like rock stars with their $300 mop-vac so you can know which one to impress your friends with at your next party.

Kevin Costner’s Divorce Continues To Provide More Drama Than ‘Yellowstone’ With The Latest ‘Outrageous’ Set Of Figures

Kevin Costner’s had more than his fair share of upheaval lately. He was set to swagger into the sunset as John Dutton in Yellowstone after the end of Season 5, but no one seems to know if those episodes will ever film. Even Costner seemed unclear on that detail while revealing (in divorce court) that he might be taking producers to court.

Speaking of the legal system, Costner is likely tired of being in courtroom-adjacent settings for his divorce proceedings. Despite having a prenuptial agreement in place, Costner and Christine Baumgartner have filed multiple rounds of documents about their child support battle. Costner still-sort of scored some victories with Baumgartner being ordered to vacate their marital home via the terms of the prenup. However, he has still been ordered to pay $129,755 in monthly child support, which is a lot, yes, but it’s much less than the $248,000 figure that Baumgartner was reported to request. Previously, PEOPLE noted that the divorce filings involved “nearly 9,000 pages of forensic accounting documents so far,” and now, Costner has realized that his legal bills are astronomical. Even worse, he believes, is that Baumgartner wants him to pay $885,000 for her legal fees, too:

In a court document obtained by PEOPLE — filed Monday in the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Barbara — the 68-year-old Oscar winner’s legal team argues the amount requested by Christine, 49, is “unreasonable” and “nothing short of outrageous.”

The filing claims Christine has already received “$405,000 in fees, including an award of $300,000 in legal fees ($200,000 in attorney’s fees and $100,000 in forensic accounting fees) on July 12” and “remov(ed) $105,000 for fees from Kevin’s accounts.”

Previously, Costner alleged that Baumgartner was using child support money (at least partially, although a lot of it) for plastic surgery. He reportedly named a wild figure, claiming that she was having $188,500 in plastic surgery procedures per month. Is that even possible? The divorce proceedings themselves, it seems, lie far beyond that kind of maintenance.

For Obvious Reasons, Judge Cannon Has Pointedly Banned Trump From Bringing Classified Documents To Mar-A-Lago

Despite Donald Trump being targeted by a scathing indictment that included audio recordings of the former president bragging about showing people classified documents, his defense team has been trying to request those documents be made available at Mar-a-Lago, the literal scene of the crime. The judge in the case took a hard pass on that one.

According to Raw Story, U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon was not convinced by Trump’s team promising to employ the use of a sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF) so he could look at the classified documents to mount his defense. The former president’s mishandling of top secret information is the crux of the indictment, so Cannon made it very clear that Trump’s team will only be handling documents at an actual secure facility. (Read: Not a private golf resort.)

Cannon even went so far as to threaten penalties if Trump’s team takes the documents anywhere besides the established facility.

“The limitations on disclosure of classified information set forth in this Order are binding on Defendant and his counsel and violations may result in criminal and/or civil penalties,” Cannon wrote in the ruling.

Adding insult to injury is the fact that Cannon was appointed by Trump, which has raised concerns about her overseeing the Florida indictment. However, based on this latest ruling, she’s not messing around.

Teezo Touchdown’s Debut ‘How Do You Sleep At Night?’ Flashes His Future Potential

The RX is Uproxx Music’s stamp of approval for the best albums, songs, and music stories throughout the year. Inclusion in this category is the highest distinction we can bestow and signals the most important music being released throughout the year. The RX is the music you need, right now.

All the kids love Teezo Touchdown. Over the past couple of years, the Texas native has built a loyal and vocal following consisting of many of his artistic contemporaries. At festivals like Rolling Loud and on tour with Tyler The Creator, his stage show’s exuberant, contagious joy has converted thousands of skeptics of eye-popping sartorial choices. Although that infectious energy doesn’t fully translate on his long-awaited major-label debut, How Do You Sleep At Night?, the album does contain a number of interesting ideas and an unconventional approach worthy of its creator’s bombastic individuality. There’s not much like it in hip-hop these days but more of the genre should be adopting its best adventurous impulses.

The modern generation of hip-hop has had plenty of artists who are leaning into rock-inspired sounds and aesthetics; this year alone, we’ve had projects from Lil Yachty, Lil Uzi Vert, and Travis Scott that borrowed pretty heavily from acts as disparate as Tame Impala, System Of A Down, and Nine Inch Nails. Teezo’s goes even broader, from the indie alt vibes of “Impossible” to the dance-funk of “Neighborhood” to the mellow folk-blues of “I Don’t Think You C Me” and even some surprisingly soulful R&B with “You Thought” featuring Janelle Monáe. There’s a little Radiohead, a little Beck, a little Maroon 5, some Nirvana, all laden with the cheek of turn-of-the-millennium pop-punk and anchored by some actually impressive vocal work from Teezo himself. He lilts and croons and sing-raps with a verve that I’d love to see from some other rap-rockers who’ve gotten a little too comfortable with a very specific sort of nasal whine that suggests emotional wailing but feels like more of a shortcut disguising tropey writing.

Teezo indulges in some of that tropey writing himself — something he can work on and improve on future output — but he also drops enough specificity into his lyrics on songs like “Daddy Mama Drama” that he ends up feeling a little more authentic and relatable than some of his peers. While there are those who might see this as a drawback, I tend to view things from the lens of “who is this for?” There are sad suburban Black teens out there for whom Teezo’s recollections of being awkward and not fitting into stereotypes are going to be foundational for finding self-confidence and identity. That’s not nothing. Even though the boundaries between “Black” and “white” music have blurred a bunch in the algorithm-driven streaming era, questions of self-worth and insecurities about not belonging aren’t going anywhere — and I know some kids who could have used a Teezo Touchdown growing up.

What sets Teezo apart from some of his peers in the rock-rap scene is an arm’s-length distance from the “rage” most purport — that infectious joy I mentioned earlier. He sounds like he’s having a lot of fun and that’s what translates, even if the boisterous call-and-response crowd work can’t really be translated to the album format. What these songs might miss in originality, they make up in gutsiness and gusto. Teezo is pushing his own vision, not a watered-down version of something that already works; he wears his influences on his sleeve, but so do most of the members of his generation. I’ve come to the conclusion that that’s a feature, not a bug, and everything doesn’t have to be transformational or totally innovative to be interesting, fun, and worthwhile.

How Do You Sleep At Night? is all three, and the best part about it is knowing that the artist himself has the live performance chops to do all the transforming when he plays them live. Maybe I just want the kid to win because of how genuinely engaging he’s been at the shows I’ve seen or for the commitment it takes to make and wear a shirt and wig made entirely of nails. Sure, there’s some shock value at play there, a bit of “look at me” showmanship that can come across gimmicky for weathered old cynics who’ve been doing this critic job for way too long. But anyone whose worldview allows them to think of doing off-kilter stuff like that is worth championing. How Do You Sleep is a decent kickoff, suggesting just how close Teezo is to figuring out the perfect play to live up to his name.

How Do You Sleep At Night? is out now via Not Fit For Society/RCA Records.

Emily Ratajkowski Expertly Avoided A Wardrobe Malfunction During The 2023 MTV VMAs

Taylor Swift was the main character of the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. She won nine trophies, including Video of the Year, Song of the Year, and Artist of the Year, and danced and took photos with seemingly everyone in attendance.

But on the red carpet, Emily Ratajkowski was the star.

The model and author wore a Y2K-inspired look, which Harper’s Bazaar described as “a Jean Paul Gaultier handkerchief dress, with crisscrossing halter neck and abdominal straps in a brilliant emerald green, while the asymmetrical skirt featured a rusty orange surrealist illustration of a woman diving in circles.” Ratajkowski showed off her outfit on Instagram.

She also nearly suffered a wardrobe malfunction while dancing during the ceremony but expertly rearranged her dress. You can see that here.

Ratajkowski recently discussed her divorce from Sebastian Bear-McClard, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women. “I think there’s a lot of taboo around divorce and a lot of shame. I think that isn’t helpful, particularly for young women who are trying to get out of bad relationships,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I want to spread a little positivity and I think that divorce, deciding to leave a relationship despite the financial hardship, despite what it’s going to mean for your kids, everything, is really brave. I want women to feel better about it.”
