Last night (September 22), Måneskin delivered a killer performance at Madison Square Garden. Over the course of the night, the Italian rock band, who won the Eurovision competition in 2021, performed several songs from their third studio album, Rush, as well as their cover of The Four Seasons’ “Beggin’,” which carried them over from Eurovision to TikTok fame. Later into the night, they added their spin on a fan-favorite Kendrick Lamar hit.
“We cannot be the last rock band… but maybe we can be the first rap band,” said Måneskin’s lead vocalist Damiano David, before diving into a cover of the 2017 hit single, “Humble.”

This particular rendition of “Humble” was a lot more guitar-and-drum-driven, but maintained the powerful spirit of the original version.
This performance wasn’t the first time the band has displayed the influence they take from a multitude of genres. In an interview with Esquire, David revealed that this type of genre-fluidity comes naturally to him and the band.
“Not to brag, but for us, it comes easy,” he says. “We have four different and very strong backgrounds—Ethan and Thomas are very into rock n’ roll, punk, more classical, so they bring that energy. And I’m very, very into mainstream music, mainstream hooks, mainstream melodies. So I bring that kind of idea, and they put steroids in what I do.”

Two weeks ago Lauren Boebert got really into the Beetlejuice musical. News reports claimed — and infrared surveillance footage later confirmed — that the MAGA lawmaker acted up during a regional production of the show, doing things one shouldn’t do while watching a musical: vaping, aggressively signing along, and getting really handsy with her date. Since then she’s tried to make amends, apologizing for her antics and putting the blame where it belongs: on how excited she was to see a musical version of Beetlejuice.

On Friday Boebert took her apology tour to Fox News, where a curiously bespectacled Jesse Watters asked her if, you know, she had just gotten tanked.
“No, Jesse, not at all,” she replied, saying she was just “very excited about the actual musical.” She added that, like many, she’s a “huge fan of Beetlejuice,” advising that anyone should go see it if it’s playing anywhere near them. She then threw in a little joke, asking those that do see it to “please tell me how it ends, because I have yet to see the ending.”
(In her defense, the musical has a slightly rosier ending than the movie, which concludes [SPOILER?] with the titular chaos agent being sent to the after life waiting room and getting his head shrunk. How the big guy recovers is something we’ll learn when the practical effects-heavy sequel hits theaters.)
Boebert agreed with Watters that she got “carried away,” if only just a “little bit.” She also blamed the fact that she’s spent 20 years in a marriage with a stand-up dude and. Back when she was last on the dating scene “there weren’t infrared cameras watching my every move, but it’s a lesson learned.”
Elsewhere in the segment, Boebert admitted she “messed up,” saying that while she’s a “congresswoman and a public figure, believe it or not, I am human too.”

In other news, it appears Boebert’s date that night — a Democrat who owns a drag queen-friendly bar — was as surprised as everyone else that the two had parted ways.
Though almost nine years have passed since Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey separated, Cannon still has love for the music icon. During an interview with The Diary Of A Ceo, Cannon spoke highly of his time with Carey.
He even recalled a time Carey came to his aid after he passed out while jogging in Aspen, Colorado.
“Mariah came in and found me,” said Cannon. “And they rushed me to the ER in Aspen… I didn’t think it was that bad because I had just got back from jogging in Aspen. Palehound is a band, featuring lead singer El Kempner. Making waves with her 2020 debut album, The Baby, Samia has continued to be a presence on the indie-pop scene. Three years later, she followed it up with her sophomore record, Honey. “Usually, when I’m writing it’s from a place of desperation and pain,” she previously revealed to i-D.
Muna
Most Boygenius fans know Muna, but if you don’t, they are also a trio band. And the group is signed to Bridgers’ record label, Saddest Factory Records, who also appeared in the video for their hit single, “Silk Chiffon.” Muna dropped their self-titled album last year and have since opened for Taylor Swift on The Eras Tour.
100 Gecs
100 Gecs is probably the wildest act to open, as the duo is known for their zany electronic songs and their stage presence — which has previously been by dressing up in wizard robes. The duo, Dylan Brady and Laura Les, formed in St. Louis, and would go on to drop their debut album, 1000 Gecs, in 2019.
Sloppy Jane
Sloppy Jane is a band that will be joining Boygenius as a special guest at their Los Angeles show. Lead singer Haley Dahl has been a longtime friend of Bridgers, as she also used to play bass in the group before going solo. In the fall of 2021, Sloppy Jane also signed to Saddest Factory, and dropped their second album, Madison.

Noah Kahan recently did a new interview with Billboard, where he opened up about the success of his Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever) album. Most interestingly, he spoke about his collaboration with Post Malone on “Dial Drunk” — and what the rapper was really like behind the scenes.
Kahan described their meeting as “exactly what I wanted an experience with Post Malone to be; he was sitting crossed-legged, drinking Bud Lights [and] smoking cigarettes.”
According to the publication, the two became close because they apparently both really love the movie Walk Hard.
Because of this, Kahan pointed out that “the hang is not over.”
“I would love to get in the room and write music with him [together from scratch],” he added. “What I love about [him] is he is so untethered by genre… I would love to make some weird sh*t.”
Over the past few months, Kahan has seen a surge in popularity after going viral on TikTok. While the album is his third, he made it during the pandemic and truly loved the result.
“There was a feeling in the studio of like, ‘Woah, this is something special,’” he described. “I felt so creatively in control… and I think, at the time, I couldn’t see that as a sign of success or relatability, it just felt so right for me that I was fine with whatever happened.”

BTS’ Suga is officially starting his mandatory military service in South Korea. However, according to Rolling Stone, he has opted for a unique alternate path that still meets the requirements. He will be working as a social service agent, which is a path for those dealing with “physical or mental health issues.”
The publication notes that Suga will still have to complete the three weeks of military training at some point. Previously, there had also been reports that Suga went for the alternate option after having surgery on his shoulder in 2020.
“I’ll faithfully serve and come back,” Suga shared as a message to fans via Weverse. “Please stay healthy and let’s meet all again in 2025.”
Big Hit, the BTS management company, also put out a statement for the BTS Army. They urged fans to “refrain from visiting Suga at his workplace during the period of his service.”

It seems the Barenaked Ladies Subreddit is facing some issues with, well, regarding nudity. Considering the band’s name, it seems some are popping on the forum expecting exactly that — and sharing some of their own.
This issue must’ve grown to the point that one of the moderators, u/JoeDawson81, made a recent post and pinned it to the Reddit board.
“Absolutely No NSFW Content,” he wrote. “I can’t believe people still post porn here as I discovered in the middle of the night. it’s mind boggling how stupid people can be. Let me be clear, this is not a porn sub and if you are too stupid it’s not my problem.”
Apparently, he had to ban one user named u/Prior_Kick_1058 “for this nonsense.” The moderator also added a warning: “If for some reason we get a flood of this I’ll set posts to require approval for a while.”
Following this post, those fans on the subreddit obviously had a lot of thoughts. One user pointed out that it’s typically spammers or bots that “target subs like this that are fairly low traffic/content.” Many appreciated the moderator for taking quick action, as some even opened whatever the post was, and didn’t enjoy it.

For the first time in weeks, it seems like there is some sort of momentum building towards a Damian Lillard trade actually happening. While Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported that there’s nothing imminent on that front, the Portland Trail Blazers are apparently having conversations with other teams as we get closer and closer to media days and the start of training camp.
During his cameo on NBA Today, Wojnarowski said that the Blazers haven’t spoken to anyone with Lillard’s long-standing preferred destination, the Miami Heat. And in a radio appearance, Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report took things a little farther, saying that Portland just flat out refuses to hold a conversation with Miami.
Portland is giving Miami the silent treatment regarding Damian Lillard trade talks.
“Portland is refusing to talk to Miami,” Haynes said. “Miami understands that they don’t have the assets, but they wanna know, hey, Portland, we’ll involve a third or a fourth team, but communicate with us and let us know what you are looking for.”
It is worth saying that there is, potentially, a very obvious reason for this: Miami’s potential offer for Lillard hasn’t changed since the beginning of July, when he first requested a move. Back then, Haynes reported that the Heat were prepared to send Portland a deal revolving around Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, and draft capital, and even though there’s been plenty of speculation about how things could evolve from there — maybe young players get thrown in by Miami, maybe they find an additional team to take Herro, whose skill-set is a bit repetitive in Portland — the Blazers have made clear they are willing to wait until they get the best possible package in return for a player of Lillard’s caliber.
