Noah Kahan Extends His ‘We’ll Be Here Forever Tour’ With North American Dates In 2024

Noah Kahan is enjoying the best year of his musical career, as evidenced by “Dial Drunk,” which peaked at No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 in August after Kahan dropped a version featuring Post Malone. Kahan plans to carry this momentum into 2024, having recently announced his We’ll All Be Here Forever Tour on Wednesday, September 20.

“This exceeds even my wildest childhood dreams, but you have made them all possible, so we are announcing another tour!” Kahan wrote on Instagram when revealing the North American dates. “I can’t hardly believe it.”

Kahan’s We’ll All Be Here Forever run will follow his sold-out Stick Season Tour across 2022 and 2023. He initially announced 2024 We’ll All Be Here Forever dates for the UK and Europe in July. The entire run will cap off on July 16, 2024 at New York City’s famed Madison Square Garden and July 19, 2024 at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts.

Kahan’s Stick Season album released in October 2022 and peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 this June. The Vermont-born artist dropped his 21-track Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever) in July.

As per a press release, the Advanced Registration Pre-sale for the newly announced 2024 North American dates is scheduled for September 27. Fans can sign up for that pre-sale here from now until Sunday, September 24, at 10 p.m. PST, and other pre-sales “will run throughout the week ahead of general onsale,” set for Friday, September 29, at 10 a.m. local time.

Who Is Avan Jogia? Meet Halsey’s Rumored New Boyfriend

Avan Jogia, newly linked romantically to Halsey, starred in 2021’s Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City and opened up about the role to Uproxx at the time.

I’m a big fan of the games,” the Canadian actor, musician, and poet said when asked what drew him to the film. “I grew up playing them. I put in 500-plus hours as Leon before I was ever playing Leon in a movie. So mostly it’s sort of a childhood dream. It’s one of these moments in your life where you’re like, ‘Oh wow I’m playing a character that I played as a kid.’ It’s an odd one and a really exciting one too.”

Having millions of strangers gawking at his love life, or perceived love life, is probably also an odd experience that Jogia couldn’t have possibly dreamt up as a child.

This week, outlets such as E! News and Page Six published paparazzi photos of Halsey, 28, and Jogia, 31, holding hands and kissing while out together in the Los Angeles area.

Jogia is likely best known as Beck Oliver from Nickelodeon’s Victorious, a role he held for 56 episodes from 2010-13. Jogia has 44 acting credits to his name, as per his IMDb page. This year, he appeared in Netflix’s Choose Love and another film called Johnny & Clyde, which is available for purchase on Amazon Prime Video or YouTube.

In fact, Jogia’s 2023 began with his directorial debut, Door Mouse, an “oddball neo-noir” centering around “a comic-book creator working at a burlesque club [who] enlists the help of a colleague to figure out what’s behind the disappearances of young women in their circle.” (He also wrote and starred in the movie.)

“This was born out of not feeling very much agency in the film industry, especially as an actor of color,” Jogia told Teen Vogue for an interview published around the premiere of Door Mouse this January — an interview in which he also admitted he isn’t particularly fond of his Nickelodeon roots. “I was looking to find parts that I felt like I could dig a little deeper into as an actor and train myself to give good performances and improve as an actor. Good parts are hard enough to get ahold of, you know, regardless of [diversity]. And then you ask, how many films looking for a brown man are made a year? Of those roles, how many see me for that part? So I was frustrated and I wanted to find agency, so I started writing.”

Jogia’s artistry extends into music and poetry through Saint Ivory, a duo he has with his brother, Ketan. Jogia released new music from Saint Ivory on August 31, as he posted on Instagram.

While Halsey and Jogia have only recently been linked publicly, Halsey commented a flame emoji on Jogia’s Instagram post from May 19.

In April, Halsey reportedly separated from Alev Aydin and filed for “full physical custody and joint legal custody” of their two-year-old child, Ender, according to E! at the time.

Five Potential Buddy Hield Trades The Indiana Pacers Could Make

The Indiana Pacers and Buddy Hield have apparently reached an impasse in contract extension talks, and, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the two sides will explore trade possibilities for the sharpshooting guard as he enters the final year of his contract, which is worth $19.2 million.

Hield should have plenty of interest given his floor-spacing abilities, hitting 42.5 percent from three on high volume a year ago and being a career 40.2 percent shooter from distance. However, finding teams that would be interested in adding Hield and finding realistic trades for him are two different things. At $19.2 million on an expiring, Hield falls into the middle ground of salary that not every team can match, and there are a handful of contenders that would surely love having Hield on the roster but don’t have clear pathways to matching his salary. Beyond that, finding players making that kind of money that the Pacers would be interested in is also a bit tricky, with the added element that Indiana might need to find a team willing to extend Hield as well.

As such, there are a couple of potential pathways for the Pacers. One is to simply keep Hield around this season and let him walk this summer, as they’re one of the rare teams that would actually gain usable cap space by allowing him to hit free agency. If they are to trade him, they have to decide what is most important to get in return. Indiana has designs on competing for a Play-In spot in the East this season, and they might look to move Hield for another veteran on a longer term deal. However, they also could use Hield to try and bring in a draft asset, as he provides more value on his deal than a handful of shooting guards around the league on similar contracts. The Pacers could flip Hield for a lesser veteran and a future pick, which could be a protected first round pick depending on how much of a downgrade they’re willing to accept in the immediate.

Here we’ll present five potential trades that could fit into those two categories, with the understanding that we don’t know exactly what Indiana’s priorities are at the moment — or exactly how other teams around the league value Hield.

Oklahoma City Thunder

Pacers get: Davis Bertans, lottery protected 2024 Clippers first round pick
Thunder get: Buddy Hield

I am once again begging Sam Presti to finally let go of one of his first round picks he’s been hoarding to try and make an upgrade to this very good, but very young Thunder roster. While there’s some risk involved in using a first to get an expiring veteran, Hield went to Oklahoma so I think there’s a legit chance he’d re-sign in OKC and it’d be a popular move with the fans. On top of that, what really is the risk with parting with a late first round pick when you have a dozen of them in the next few years.

The Thunder could really use an elite three-point shooter in their lineup, as it’s the one thing they are really missing. Hield would get great looks off of the attention Shai Gilgeous-Alexander receives and provide SGA with spacing he desperately needs. The Thunder also have so many long, athletic wings that Hield would almost never be paired with a subpar defender, which mitigates the biggest weakness in Hield’s game.

For the Pacers, they would clear the way for Bennedict Mathurin and Andrew Nembhard to take on bigger roles in the backcourt and get a first round pick for the trouble of taking on two years of Bertans’ salary. Again, this is only a move they make if they’re fine taking a longview with a Hield trade, but the Clippers pick could very well have some value and end up in the late teens/early 20s and they might find ways to deploy Bertans in hopes he can give them some frontcourt floorspacing — although, again, he’s not the centerpiece of this trade.

Memphis Grizzlies

Pacers get: Luke Kennard, Ziaire Williams
Grizzlies get: Buddy Hield

This one fascinates me because I honestly don’t know who comes out on top in this deal, which makes me think it might be good (I’m sure plenty of folks will inform me I’m wrong about that). Kennard was unreal in Memphis after the deadline in a pretty small sample (24 games) after a fairly lackluster tenure in L.A. in terms of impact despite knocking down 45 percent of his threes for the Clippers — I still don’t know if that was more a Clippers issue or a Kennard issue. That said, Hield is, I think, generally viewed as a more dynamic shooter than Kennard, and if the Grizzlies feel that skillset would be an upgrade, they could easily package Kennard and one of their rookie salaries for Hield — in this instance I included Ziaire Williams because I think Memphis has maybe seen enough and is ready to move on from him.

The Pacers would get Kennard for two years and still have a great floor-spacing option off the bench, but who also doesn’t log as many minutes which opens up more time for their young guards as well. Williams would be a flier as a young wing who might just need a change of scenery, but might also just not be the guy Memphis hoped he would be. In any case, this would be arguably the best of the “win-now” trades for Hield, as they kick the can down the road for another year at that position with Kennard and wouldn’t give up too much production.

Los Angeles Clippers

Pacers get: Norman Powell
Clippers get: Buddy Hield

The Pacers also could poke around in L.A. and see if Norman Powell is still available from the Clippers, who have reportedly shut off trade talks with the Sixers on James Harden. I’m not sure the Clippers are ready to totally close the door on Harden and this might be more of a deadline type move should they realize they’re just not getting the former MVP out of Philly. In any case, Hield might be a better fit for what the Clippers need in terms of a dynamic shooting threat around Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Russell Westbrook who doesn’t need the ball in his hands much to have an impact offensively.

For Indiana, Powell would be a good secondary ball-handler next to Tyrese Haliburton who is also a more than capable knockdown shooter (39.7 percent from three last year) and they’d have him for three years. Whether that fits into their timetable with Mathurin is a very different question, but if the goal is to win sooner than later, adding solid veterans isn’t a bad idea.

Dallas Mavericks

Pacers get: Tim Hardaway Jr., 2025 Raptors second round pick
Mavericks get: Buddy Hield

This one’s going to be a pretty popular fake trade because it makes so much sense from the Mavs perspective. They could desperately use an elite shooter that doesn’t need the basketball next to Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic, and Hield fits the bill to a tee. Now, that trio might be flammable defensively, but they were with Hardaway Jr. in there as well, so might as well get as much out of the offense as you can. The question here is whether the Mavs have enough ammunition to get Hield in a THJ swap. They don’t have many first round picks to work with after their various trades for Kristaps Porzingis and Kyrie Irving, so they’d need to attach one of their few seconds and hope that’s enough. If there are firsts out there, I doubt that’s the case, but I’m also not sure those will be available and the Pacers might just want to get something for Hield. Hardaway Jr. shot the ball pretty well a year ago from three (38.5 percent) and would be the best of the veterans in the “add a pick” packages I suggest here, but this certainly wouldn’t be an exciting package for the Pacers.

New York Knicks

Pacers get: Evan Fournier, lottery protected 2024 Mavs first round pick
Knicks get: Buddy Hield

Another one in the salary dump category for the Pacers would be to try and extract a protected first rounder out of New York alongside Evan Fournier, who has two years left on his deal. I’m not sure the Knicks would do this, just because they might be trying to keep all of their future firsts for a big swing at someone this summer, but if they don’t think that opportunity is going to come available by the draft (and they have plenty of future firsts beyond 2024), they could do worse than turning the Mavs pick (which they could lottery protect and give themselves a 11-14 window to keep it if Dallas flails again this year) and Fournier into Hield. The Knicks could absolutely benefit from Hield’s floor-spacing, as they lack a dynamic shooting threat, but I’m not sure they’d want to commit to him long-term and I feel like the only way you make this move to send a first out for him is if you are keeping him beyond this year.

Overall, there aren’t a lot of obvious trades out there for Hield despite his skillset and it’ll be interesting to see if we get any rumblings of concrete offers that give us an idea of what the league views as his value on the trade market. I’m not sure there is a protected first out there for him, but I think the Thunder would be the ideal candidate to make that type of offer. Otherwise, Indiana will have to determine what’s better to have: a veteran under contract for next year (or two more) or to have a big chunk of cap space available once again next summer.

‘Jeopardy!’ Viewers Aren’t Happy With An ‘Unfair And Illogical’ Call On A Recent Clue Involving A Certain Former President

Warning: This post contains spoilers for the Jeopardy! episode that aired September 20.

Unlike the dodgier Wheel of Fortune, everyone loves Jeopardy! That doesn’t mean it’s above criticism. They screw up every now and then, while its own star alumni sometimes take the show to task, including after its showrunners found a slimy way to keep the clues going amidst the WGA strike. The episode that aired Wednesday night offered another chance to call out the show for malfeasance.

The blunder came during the Double Jeopardy category “The Real (White House) Wives of D.C.” The clue read, “She met the future president in 1938 when they both tried out for a local play in Whittier, California.” Alex Lamb, a data scientist from Lake Forest, California, dinged in, replying with the last name only, “Nixon.”

Normally supplying only the surname would be an acceptable response. But host Ken Jennings asked Lamb to be more specific. He blurted out Richard, when the name they were looking for was Pat.

Thing is, the category was about First Ladies. Therefore, some argued on a Reddit AMA with Lamb after, his response should have been a win.

“Really, really did not like the BMS [“be more specific”] on the Nixon clue,” one viewer wrote. “Clue already had a ‘she,’ the theme of the category was already set, just didn’t make sense. As far as the actual game goes, probably not a major effect in this game, but in the long run, it sets an odd precedent for these sorts of things as long as the show goes without its writers on hand.”

“That is bizarre,” another wrote. “What other First Lady with the last name of Nixon did they did they have in mind that would be a plausible response?” Another notes that given there’s only been one President/First Lady Nixon, Alex’s fate felt “unfair and illogical.”

“I came here to make this exact same comment, It seemed really unfair and illogical to me,” wrote another. “I’d understand for Barbara Bush, since there are two First Ladies named Bush, but a First Lady named Nixon could only be referring to one person.”

Lamb himself weighed in, explaining, “You can imagine that once I answered Nixon, my mind pivoted completely to the next clue. So when I was asked for clarification, I got caught flatfooted and that’s how it goes! Should have paused and answered.”

Are they right? Should Lamb get one of those corrections they sometimes make on the air after the judges realize they were wrong or simply too harsh? Whatever the case, at least it’s not as embarrassing as some of Richard Nixon’s own TV blunders.

Here Is Victoria Monét’s ‘The Jaguar Tour’ Setlist

Victoria Monét’s Jaguar II was described by Uproxx‘s Wongo Okon as “a dazzling triumph,” and that opinion was widely shared — so much so that fans were distraught because Monét wasn’t among the featured performers during the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards on September 12. The White House Summoned A Classic ‘ClickHole’ Joke After They Finally Agreed With Matt Gaetz About Something

Is the U.S. government actually going to shut down? Again? Barring some miracle, it seems likely. Right now the House GOP, who kicked off their tenure earlier this year with a sign of the chaos to come, is in tatters trying to craft a resolution that will appease the unappeasable MAGA wing of the party. Who’s ultimately to blame? In an unexpected fit of comity, it appears Trumpist lunatic Matt Gaetz and the White House finally found something they agree on.

Speaking to reporters, Gaetz punted blame for the shutdown on the House Speaker he so hates.

“We will have a government shutdown and it is absolutely Speaker McCarthy’s fault,” Gaetz said. “We cannot blame Joe Biden for not having moved our individual spending bills. We cannot blame House Democrats. We can’t even blame Chuck Schumer in the Senate.”

Soon thereafter, the White House’s Twitter/X account agreed, at least with that part, busting out the classic ClickHole joke “The worst person you know just made a great point.”

Of course, McCarthy isn’t only to blame for the looming shutdown. You try wrangling the intransigent MAGA gang, Gaetz very much included, who’ve issued impossible, far right demands from which they will not budge.

Perhaps Gaetz is simply trying to deflect blame. When asked, point blank, by The Washington Post if the government was going to shut down, he replied, “Yes, and it’s Kevin McCarthy’s fault that the government is going to shut down.” He continued:

“There’s a lot of things going wrong in this country that we can blame the Democrats for: the open border, the weaponized government. But we cannot blame the Democrats for having not done our job to comply with the coalition agreement that we made at the beginning of the year. That is the fault of the speaker, and I believe that if he does not immediately remediate that, he will likely face a motion to vacate.”

Gaetz concluded that McCarthy’s reign as speaker has been marked by “lies and broken promises and failure and shutdowns.” He added that “while that may be Kevin McCarthy’s legacy, it will not be mine.”

Or maybe it will be both of their legacies.

Peso Pluma Canceled An Upcoming Performance In Tijuana After He Received Death Threats From A Mexican Cartel

At this year’s MTV VMAs, Peso Pluma made history as the first-ever regional Mexican artist to grace that particular stage. The one born Hassan Emilio Kabande Laija has shot to superstardom behind several Billboard Hot 100 hits, such as “Ella Baila Sola,” and his July album, Genesis. However, the heightened exposure hasn’t come without some dangerous consequences.

On September 12, a threatening banner aimed at Pluma and signed by the Jalisco New Generation Cartel was spotted on a bridge in Tijuana, leading to Pluma canceling his upcoming show in Tijuana scheduled for October 14 at Estadio Caliente.

On Wednesday, September 20, Pluma’s labels, Double P Records and Prajin Music Group, confirmed the cancelation. As translated by Variety, their statement reads, “Our goal is to protect the fans and the team. For the safety of everyone involved, we will cancel our show in Tijuana. Thank you so much to all our fans for understanding. We love you. Sincerely: La Doble P.”

As initially reported by The Arizona Republic and USA Today, the banner in question warned, “This goes to Peso Pluma, refrain from presenting yourself on October 14 because it will be your last show due to your disrespect and loose tongue, you show up and we are going to (break you).”

Variety cited local reports that “a man had been arrested in connection to the banners.”

Previously, Pluma’s scheduled September 14 concert at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin was postponed “due to unforeseen circumstances.”

According to Pluma’s official website, Pluma is still scheduled to perform on September 28 (in Reno, Nevada), October 12 (Stockton, California), October 15 (San Bernardino, California), and October 21 (Anaheim, California).

Pluma was also this week’s guest on Complex‘s “Sneaker Shopping,” which you can watch below.

Family brings home the wrong dog from daycare until their cats saved the day

It’s not a secret that nearly all golden retrievers are identical. Honestly, magic has to be involved for owners to know which one belongs to them when more than one golden retriever is around. Seriously, how do they all seem have the same face? It’s like someone fell asleep on the copy machine when they were being created.

Outside of collars, harnesses and bandanas, immediately identifying the dog that belongs to you has to be a secret skill because at first glance, their personalities are also super similar. That’s why it’s not surprising when one family dropped off their sweet golden pooch at daycare and to be groomed, they didn’t notice the daycare sent out the wrong dog.

See, not even their human parents can tell them apart because when the swapped dog got home, nothing seemed odd to the owners at first. She was freshly groomed so any small differences were quickly brushed off. But this accidental doppelgänger wasn’t fooling her feline siblings.

Once the dog was in their house, they noticed that their cats started behaving strangely towards their canine sibling. The cats started attacking the dog, likely trying to get it to tell them what they did with their real dog sister. Cat slaps and a house full of strange people didn’t dampen the imposter’s spirit though, in fact, that’s what helped reveal the switcharoo.

This dog kept handing out face kisses and had no interest in seeing her favorite neighbor. After putting all of those things together, the owners decided to hightail it to the vet’s office to scan the dog’s microchip. Alas, they indeed had the wrong dog.

“We just never even thought that that would happen, and of course we thought we would know right? Like we’re her parents, we would know something was wrong, we would know right off the bat that it wasn’t Emmy,” Kebby Kelley told Fox 9 Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Seems both golden retrievers got to go on a really strange adventure that deserves a lifetime of delicious dog treats for the confusion.

Video of sisters trying to fix a DIY haircut perfectly captures the chaos of sisterhood

Ask any group of sisters what it was like growing up with each other, and they will undoubtedly use the word chaos. Girlhood in itself is a bit of a delightfully feral time. Add yet another wild child (or more) into the mix, and you never know what’s going to happen.

But there’s also a beautiful loyalty. Sure, sisters can turn from friends to enemies on a dime, but in those purer moments, you’ll see them stop at nothing to help one another.

And it’s all these aspects, and everywhere in between, that were captured in a hilarious TikTok as three sisters banded together to fix a DIY haircut gone wrong…the day before school picture day, no less.

Let us set the stage. Eldest sister, Valentina, 15, was minding her own business, filming a GURWM (GEt Un-Ready With Me), when she is suddenly interrupted by her 9-year-old sister Khaleesi asking for the scissors.

Ever the responsible eldest, Valentina tells Khaleeis to be careful before handing them over and resuming her skincare regimen.

Not three seconds later, there’s a blood-curdling scream, as the youngest sister, Camelia, comes rushing in.

“Khaleesi cut my hair!” shouts Camelia. “Tomorrow is picture day!”

“You wanted it, bro!” Khaleesi shouts back.

The girls then hear mom ask what’s happening. Valentina takes charge and tells her little sisters to close her door (“now!”) as she comes up with a brilliant cover: “Nothing! I’m trying to find a new hairstyle for (Camelia).”

Trying to fix the chop job, Valentina looks on TikTok for bang cutting tutorials, wanting “If mom finds out, she’s going to kill both of you.”

That’s when 2-year old Magdalena walks in.

@palmview956oficial GURWM gone wrong.. Camelia cut her bangs Again 😡🤯 #parati #sisters #hermanas #gurwm #valentina #scissors #camelia #magdalena #bangs #fypシ #956 #palmview956 #viral #rgv #zamarripa #zamarripasisters #fail #gonewrong #letsgetto200k #rgv956 #rgvtx956 ♬ original sound – Palmview956Oficial2.0

“I’ll give you a cookie!” Valentina says. (Of course this strategy works, and she is met with silence.)

Following what she found on TikTok, Magdalena twists Camelia’s bangs and gives them a quick snip. To her surprise, it actually worked.

“Wait, they’re looking cute!” she says.

“I look like Taylor from ‘Summer I Turned Pretty!’” Camelia exclaims.

Remember me waxing poetic about how fiercely loyal sisters are? Well, as soon as mom walks in, the accusations about whose idea it was go flying.

The delightful clip ends with Camelia and Khaleesi being told to go show their dad, and Valentina saying “pray for them.”

Enthralled viewers couldn’t help but feel like they had just watched something akin to a “coming of age movie” and a “documentary about sisterhood.” One person even dubbed it the Latina version of “Little Women.” 100% accurate.

“This is THE sisters experience. In six minutes you captured the whole thing. Amazing, ”one person wrote.

Another noted how it particularly encapsulates the eldest sister experience, writing, “older sister fixing her hair, bringing the snitch and getting blamed for it at the end.”

In the end, it all worked out. Camelia shared in a follow-up video that her big picture day was a success, bangs and all, thanks to the help of her sisters. And we all got some grade-A entertainment.

Mom tells wild story of how her daughter kidnapped a ‘chocolate baby’ while out grocery shopping

Sometimes we hear a story that makes us collectively confused. Should we be offended? Laugh? Donate to a parents future bail fund for their children? It’s really a toss up but the consensus on this mom’s eyebrow raising story is that laughter and bail money are both appropriate responses.

Maranda Arbogast, a mom that runs the TikTok page, momma.chaos, shared a hilariously mortifying story of a time she took her three daughters grocery shopping and somehow wound up in a, “one of these things is not like the others” moment. The mom of three leads into the story by explaining that she is raising children that will likely have run ins with the law.

“Some families gotta save money for medical expenses or college funds. We gotta save money for bail because we are raising criminals, especially my middle daughter. It’s always the middle child,” Arbogast jokes. “She’s gotta be frisked before we leave anywhere.”

Arbogast explains that her middle daughter has stolen everything from her neighbor’s engagement ring to a baby from Walmart. Pause. A baby? Yes, a real baby human. If you’re a person that has questions about how that happens, no worries. The mom of three merry mischief makers explains exactly what happens.

“I have a rule every time we go to the store, the kids gotta keep their hands on the cart, because as long as I can see the hands, I know that I’m safe,” she says.

When they were in the frozen food aisle looking for chicken nuggets, Arbogast was distracted tried to locate her kids favorite nuggets, the ones shaped like dinosaurs. It was in that moment, they executed their plan.

“My youngest daughter put two hands on the cart to trick me so that her older sister can go get a baby brother. I didn’t even realize I was missing a child until another one showed up,” the frazzled mom rattles off.

Now, you’d think counting that she had one too many kids would’ve tipped her off, but it was the fact that she and her children are white and the baby that mysteriously appeared was Black. After asking where the baby came from, her daughter, who appears to be around six, explained that she “found a chocolate baby” and asked to keep him.

Thankfully, the baby’s mom had a sense of humor about the situation. When she went around the store frantically looking for her son, she found him with the little girl arguing with her confused and likely embarrassed mom. I’m sure now this mom has a six hands on the cart rule or maybe she does grocery pick-up instead, just to make sure her daughter doesn’t try to “find” another sibling.
