What Are The Ice Spice Dunkin Donuts Munchkin Drink Nutritional Facts?

Ice Spice’s recent partnership with Dunkin Donuts has taken the internet by storm — particularly for its interesting ingredients. For those who are unfamiliar with the drink, the coffee chain blends a few of their pumpkin munchkins into their frozen coffee before topping it with whipped cream and caramel.

Some on social media have also dissected the drink’s nutritional facts, as it clearly contains a lot of sugar. Users were also shocked by the blending and creation process.

Here’s what to know before going to get it.

According to Dunkin Donuts, the calorie count for the various sizes of the Ice Spice drink are: 590 for a small size, 830 for a medium, and 1080 for a large. With each drink, they also adjust the ingredient level and how many munchkins are blended in.

While the exact nutrition facts haven’t been updated for the coffee chain in a few months, Popsugar was able to estimate some other stats. The publication points out that a small size would have around 44 grams of sugar, based on the previous information provided about how much the syrups and munchkins are.

This number would then obviously increase when adjusted for the larger sizes.

Can Hasan Minhaj Win Back His Audience’s Trust?

Comedian Hasan Minhaj’s greatest infraction as a storyteller isn’t one he committed against his audience by telling a few fibs. That’s if it even counts as an infraction at all.

Nuance is required to process revelations in The New Yorker about Minhaj fabricating details in both his Homecoming King and King’s Jester Netflix specials to amplify the wow factor of some of his stories.

To be fair, most comedians are going to cut their personal revelations with filler and hyperbole to better fit their stories into certain narrative boxes and themes. Some will also play around with an audience’s assumption of who and how they are. Exaggerated personas and statements are a tool. I don’t think Sam Kinnison was always yelling in the ’90s or that Bo Burnham spent the pandemic alone and hermitesque, do you?

Doing what Minhaj did: making up a story about his daughter having to be rushed to the hospital because he and his wife thought the child had been exposed to anthrax at a time of heightened concern over death threats against him? That’s exaggeration on steroids, but is all fair in the name of art and storytelling if the goal is to land on the emotional truth of that moment (to borrow some of Minhaj’s phrasing from his interview in the New Yorker piece)? I’m not sure, but also, was that the only goal?

There’s a sad irony in that the moral of his latest special (The King’s Jester) was that Minhaj wanted to put family above clout chasing. He expressed that when we spoke at the time.

“Candidly, when my marriage was going through those really tough spots, it was a realization that I came to and that my wife and I talked about, and it was like, “What really matters here?” And I care so much more about Beena [his wife] than I do Deadline articles.”

We know now that some of those “tough spots” weren’t quite as they were presented (such as the anthrax scare), but I believe the overall sentiment. I also still love the special, again, because I am going to believe the overall theme. The thing is, it would be easy to not, and that’s because of this unforced error.

Hasan Minhaj is a truly great visual and comedic storyteller, and not just because some of his signature stories have been rooted in these fantastical things where he’s right there at the turn of history or in the crosshairs. The personal moments in King’s Jester about trying to have a kid and dealing with the polluting effects of fame are masterful, human, hilarious, and thought-provoking. But were they enough?

You could open a whole other wing of this article examining whether it’s a lack of confidence in the material, in himself, or in the marketplace that led Minhaj to think he needed to inflate his stories or himself to make this special truly pop and aid his career goals. That’s okay, by the way. Everyone’s supposed to act humble and #blessed when good things happen in their career and they get what they want, like it’s all accidental, but it takes planning, ambition, and choices. Minhaj just made some questionable ones, though I suppose that’s a matter of perspective.

It’s easy to sit here and say the same impact would have been felt if, when talking about death threats, he did so without the twist involving his daughter. Ditto the danger felt with his meeting with the Saudis at the Embassy. Does the story work if that happens a month after the news dropped about the murder of reporter Jamal Khashoggi instead of the day of? Yes, but would either of these stories have blown up like they did without those details? That’s not justification, it’s understanding the motive. The point, however, is that in choosing to amp up or conjure stories, Minhaj was still clout-chasing… in the special about how he didn’t see as much value in clout-chasing.

Listen, Hasan Minhaj is going to be fine. More than. His profile always seems to be rising. Cancellation is a mostly made-up term that describes what happens when a sex pest has to play sold-out clubs instead of sold-out arenas for a few months. This doesn’t come close to comparing. Minhaj will get work, maybe not Daily Show work (he’s been rumored to be the favorite to replace Trevor Noah as perma-host after a tremendous guest host stint), but work.

Maybe his next special will be all about this moment, a double down on his response in The New Yorker, his hubris, his ambition, and what he learned from it all. Comedy fans and critics (myself included) clamor for that kind of personal storytelling and vulnerability (as evidenced by the response to Minhaj’s previous specials from critics, myself included), so in a way this almost feels like call and action. We’re always begging for more interesting, uniquely personal, and revelatory comedy, and now we’ll get exactly that.

Hasan Minhaj: The Storyteller

Hasan Minhaj: Trust Me

Hasan Minhaj: To Tell The Truth

Again, not justification. There are earned consequences here. No matter what Minhaj says and how powerfully and effectively he says it, it’s all going to hit just a bit differently with a vapor barrier of doubt lingering over everything, making us question if he’s being real with us or not for a long while. And that’s the thing that sucks the most about this.

Of all Hasan Minhaj’s skills as a comedian, it’s his ability to connect with an audience that has always been the most supernatural. Great storytellers don’t necessarily need great stories, they’re great storytellers because they can read the back of a cereal box in a compelling way. But none of it matters if they can’t get an audience to connect with them because people don’t trust them.

One final question with all of the above in mind: if someone gets praise/awards/attention for something that they later get in trouble for, but the consequences pale in contrast to the rewards, is it all worth it? I guess it all depends on what you were chasing: the clout or the connection.

The National Announced Their New Album ‘Laugh Track’ At Their Homecoming Cincinnati Festival And It’s Coming Out Very Soon

While it’s only been a few months since The National dropped their album, First Two Pages Of Frankenstein, it seems they’ve been hard at work on another. Tonight the band kicked off their Homecoming 2023 Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Across the two festival days, fans also get to hear either High Violet or Trouble Will Find Me played in full. They can catch other acts tomorrow like Pavement, Snail Mail, Weyes Blood, and more. Tickets are still available for 1-Day General Admission for Saturday here.

And they had a special announcement in store: unveiling that their new album, Laugh Track, is on the way. It will also drop sooner than most expected, arriving Sunday night at midnight — or Monday morning, technically.

While not much else is known about The National’s new record yet, those attending the first night received a truly welcoming surprise.

First Two Pages Of Frankenstein dropped back in April, featuring collaborations with Phoebe Bridgers, Sufjan Stevens, and Taylor Swift. They then headed out on a worldwide tour, including a stop at Madison Square Garden with Patti Smith as a surprise guest. The National’s tour dates are continuing in Europe through early October.

“Even though we’d always been anxious whenever we were working on a record, this was the first time it ever felt like maybe things really had come to an end,” lead singer Matt Berninger shared previously.

Drake Used A Picture Of Halle Berry For ‘Slime You Out’ And She Said It Was ‘Not Cool’ Without Permission

Just a few hours after Drake dropped his “Slime You Out” collaboration with SZA, actress Halle Berry has some thoughts. Specifically, she took to social media after finding out the Canadian rapper used her photo to promote the track without permission.

The photo is of Berry covered in slime, which actually happened at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. Her Instagram post was a simple photo that read: “Sometimes you have to be the bigger guy… Even if you’re a woman!”

Berry then replied to a fan who flat out asked her what she thought about it — and she did not hold back. “Didn’t get my permission,” she said. “That’s not cool I thought better of him!”

“Hence my post today,” Berry added with a second comment. “When people you admire disappoint you, you have to be the bigger person and move on.”

After the news broke, fans on social media pointed out that it’s not even used as the actual single cover, but Drake’s For All The Dogs album art is. Still, others get where she’s coming from. “The wild part is that Halle Berry probably would’ve been cool with Drake using her photo if he would’ve just asked,” wrote one user.

Check out Halle Berry’s comments about being used for Drake’s “Slime You Out” below.

The Rock Returned To WWE At Friday Night Smackdown

Pat McAfee kicked off Smackdown live from Denver, which happened to be just down the road where he broke a bit of news earlier in the afternoon from Boulder, Colorado.

It didn’t take long for McAfee to be interrupted by Austin Theory, who hit the ring and talked down the ESPN personality. Theory talked about Smackdown being Austin Theory Live and called it his show.

McAfee said Smackdown is the people’s show, and asked him if he knows what that means before The Rock’s music hit. Rock came face to face with Theory, where Theory said he’s better than the other Austin and announced he’s so great, he’ll be the entire wrestling Mount Rushmore.

Rock then started a, ‘You are an a-hole’ chant before Theory attacked him. Rock then hit a spinebuster and a People’s Elbow. He then directed McAfee to hit one of his own, which he did before Rock picked up one of Theory’s shoes and tossed it into the crowd.

Rock last wrestled an impromptu match alongside John Cena at WrestleMania 32 against Eric Rowan and Luke Harper. According to The Rock, he may be down for one more, with a rumored showdown with the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns on the table for WrestleMania 40.

Ekkstacy And Trippie Redd Realize The Downside Of Fame On The Emotional New ‘Problems’ Collaboration

Ekkstacy returned today to share his new song, “Problems,” which features Trippie Redd. Opening with an inviting guitar line, the two have chill and emotional vocals that perfectly complement each other. Despite the somber nature, they had a really great time making the track.

“This song was fun to make,” Ekkstacy shared in a statement about the collab. “It happened between like 3 and 6 [a.m.] in Miami right before I had to head to the airport. Trippie and I wrote and recorded the lyrics over the music that my main collaborator Mangetsu made back in Germany.”

“We both came up listening to Trip, so I’m happy we both get to say we have a song with him now,” he added about his team’s shared love for the rapper.

The release also came complete with a video directed by Gilbert Trejo, where he stated that they wanted to “play with the idea of success and happiness.”

The result finds Ekkstacy and Trippie Redd surrounded by people having fun at a mansion, but they’re having a rough time and are visually out of place. They might have reached a peak when it comes to wealth, women, and fancy cars, but are still missing a piece that might make them happy.
