Jimmy Kimmel Clowned Marjorie Taylor Greene For Repeating Trump’s Lie That Hamas Is Coming To America Through Mexico

Jimmy Kimmel made quick work of Marjorie Taylor Greene after the Georgia congresswoman parroted Donald Trump‘s talking point that Hamas is coming to America by way of Mexico.

“Trump’s associates in the crazy business have been making the most of this attack on Israel,” Kimmel said. “Ever since that ‘caravan of dangerous immigrants’ turned out to be figments of their imagination, they’d be looking for something new to rile all the old people up.”

Kimmel then teed up a clip of Greene pushing the old “terrorists are sneaking in through Mexico” canard that’s been a favorite of the right ever since 9/11.

“What happened to Israel could happen to America because our country has been invaded by millions of people from over 160 countries,” Greene said. Kimmel made short work of her ridiculous claim.

“160? That’s almost all of the countries. You’re telling me we’re being invaded by Belgium? Maybe Poland?” Kimmel joked before mocking Greene. “Hordes of Belgium and Polish immigrants are sneaking in here with their waffles and kielbasa, and the Gazpacho Police do nothing about it. They let them all right in!”

“It’s hard to believe that people are dumb enough to believe this stuff,” Kimmel continued, “But when you hear Trump talk about the state of our school systems, it kind of starts to make sense.”

The late night host then played a clip of Trump during a recent Real America Voice interview.

“So we have the worst education almost in the large world,” Trump said. “The world that people know about.”

“Yes, yes, the large world,” Kimmel quipped. “The world that people know about. Sometimes his mouth says things like a broken Furby or something.”

Fenne Lily Is Expanding Her ‘Big Picture’ Album By Sharing The New Visualizer For ‘Hollywood And Fear’

Fenne Lily announced that she will be releasing an expanded version of her Big Picture album this winter. To celebrate, she dropped the visualizer for one of the five new bonus tracks, “Hollywood And Fear.” The track details the divide in the way love is portrayed in movies versus real life.

“It’s something my mum asked me constantly when I was a kid — I would argue until I lost the thread of the argument when I could have easily let it go,” Lily shared about one of the lyrics and the song’s inspiration in a statement. “So ‘Hollywood and Fear’ is about figuring out when to hold on tightly versus when to let go.”

“This isn’t a sad album — it’s about as uplifting as my way of doing things will allow,” she added. “These songs explore worry and doubt and letting go, but those themes are framed brightly.”

Fans will also be able to catch her doing residencies in New York and London this December, where she will perform three albums across three nights. More information on tickets can be found here.

The Oklahoma City Thunder’s Biggest Question And X-Factor For The 2023-24 Season

Every year, there seems to be one NBA team that comes into the season with the expectation that they’ll turn their potential into something great. As we approach the start of the 2023-24 campaign, that team is shaping up to be the Oklahoma City Thunder, which have all the makings of being a juggernaut at some point in the not-too-distant future.

This year, the Western Conference is going to be a nightmare to navigate, which doesn’t exactly bode well for a team looking to make a jump from “fun group of youngsters” to “a legitimate playoff contender in the conference.” But there is a whole lot to like in Oklahoma City, and there’s a chance that they’ll be able to call themselves a playoff team for the first time since 2020.

Biggest Question: Are They Ready?

Try to find one person in the basketball world who isn’t excited about the Thunder. It’s really hard! Last season, Oklahoma City was quite the surprise, as the team went 40-42, earned a playoff berth, and won one game during the Play-In Tournament before getting bounced by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Their offense is a blast, and is led by a legitimate superstar in All-NBA First Team selection Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Jalen Williams was one of the best rookies in the league last year. Josh Giddey took a leap during his second year. There’s a seemingly endless supply of promising young players, all of whom get better and better the longer they spend in Mark Daigneault’s system.

All of this is to say that the Oklahoma City Thunder are a very trendy pick to make some noise in the Western Conference — maybe not compete with the Denver Nuggets and the Phoenix Suns, but be in the playoff hunt all regular season and be a handful once the postseason roll around. But of course, any team can have hype around them. Not every team, however, turn that hype into results, and that’s ultimately the challenge that the Thunder will face.

How do they respond to that first losing streak that brings them down to earth a little bit? Can they survive a major injury to one of their key contributors? Do they have frontcourt depth in the event Chet Holmgren needs some time to get used to life in the NBA? Can they take a step forward on at least one end of the floor — the team was 13th in defensive rating and 16th in offensive rating last year, and while those numbers are solid, there is plenty of room to get better.

The good news is they have a no-doubt star leading the charge and a roster of young, hungry players. Leaps don’t have to happen, but betting on the Thunder to make one seems safe.

X-Factor: Chet Holmgren

Holmgren is probably going to end up being a good professional basketball player. It’s unclear what, exactly, that means — he could end up being a solid and reliable rotation big man who blocks shots and can score a little on offense, or maybe he’ll end up being the sort of superstar-level player who is a perfect running mate alongside Gilgeous-Alexander. The best version of him is a gigantic, two-way nightmare who earns All-Star nods and gets labeled a unicorn.

While he essentially redshirted last season due to an injury he suffered during the offseason, Holmgren is still a rookie who has to get used to all the little things that come from playing 82 games of professional basketball. There will be nights where he’s really good, there will be others where he gets put on a poster and his shot is just not falling. He should be fine no matter what — his work ethic and competitiveness have drawn praise for years. If he’s able to consistently be a positive piece of the puzzle for Oklahoma City, that would be absolutely gigantic, as the one thing the team could really use is a guy with his size imposing his will on a game.

‘She Stuck Her Tongue In My Ear!’: Madonna Apparently Made Quite The Impression On Al Pacino When They First Met

Madonna and Al Pacino first worked together in 1990’s Dick Tracy (me and who), but they met years before.

In the biography Madonna: A Rebel Life, Madonna’s former roommate, Whitley Hill, told author Mary Gabriel that her dad, actor Ed Setrakian, introduced the Oscar-winning actor to the Queen of Pop in the late 1970s during a dinner at a New York City restaurant. After Pacino came over to sit with Madonna and company, the singer “unwrapped a stick of gum and ate it in a slow, deliberate manner,” according to Insider. Hill believes the idea was “to call attention to her mouth.” And her tongue.

Setrakian drove everyone, including Pacino and Madonna, home following the dinner. Later, he called his daughter and informed her what Pacino told him. “That friend of your daughter’s stuck her tongue in my ear. When we were driving home, she leaned over and stuck her tongue in my ear!” he claimed. Setrakian didn’t reveal what happened next, but you can probably guess (they shared a Dunkaccino).

Madonna was forced to reschedule her Celebration Tour following a medical emergency, but she’ll hit the road again this month. You can see her new dates here, as well as her previously-banned Pepsi commercial.

J. Cole Surprised Fans At 6lack’s ‘Since I Have A Lover’ Tour Stop In Los Angeles To Perform ‘Pretty Little Fears’

J. Cole has long had a reputation for being a bit of a recluse, but in recent months, the North Carolina rapper has seemingly embraced his star status. He’s begun a new run of high-profile collabs with the likes of Gucci Mane, Lil Durk, Lil Yachty, and Summer Walker, while joining contemporaries like 50 Cent and Drake onstage during their respective tours.

Last night, he again joined a former collaborator onstage in Los Angeles, surprising fans at 6lack’s Since I Have A Lover Tour stop at the YouTube Theater to perform their beloved East Atlanta Love Letter duet, “Pretty Little Fears.” Fortunately, Uproxx was in attendance and got the full performance on video:

Other guest cameos at 6lack’s show included singer Jordan Ward, who’s set to join the tour in his native St. Louis next month; Jessie Reyez, who skipped out from backstage to join 6lack for a well-received rendition of their song “Imported”; and Khalid, who of course, sang “OTW” alongside the Atlanta rapper.

Although J. Cole has been busy working on his next album, The Fall Off, he’s still found time to make a few other star moves, such as buying a portion of his beloved Charlotte Hornets and throwing his weight around to help a young NBA prospect land a job with the Miami Heat. If his recent activity is any indicator, it looks like he’ll have plenty of folks to call on to help him finish the album, because clearly, he’s owed a lot of favors now.

Beyoncé Fans Shared Their Predictions For The Opening Scene In Her Upcoming ‘Renaissance’ Concert Film

Beyoncé recently announced that she will be releasing a concert film of her recent tour, titled Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé, later this year. While it won’t arrive in theaters until December 1, the fans already have some theories about its format.

Specifically, the Beyhive has sparked an internet discussion over what the opening scene will be. This started after Parkwood, the star’s company, asked for early predictions on Twitter.

Some took the time to share serious thoughts about what they would hope to see. “Yes it starts off with Bey expressing her gratitude being back on the stage and how much she misses the BeyHive then it fades black with the opening credits and in the background, ‘Ladies and gentlemen… Beyoncé,’” one user wrote.

“Some clips from her childhood expanding into her life now as a mother to her kids & to the entire world,” another added. “Her after the last day of filming, then rewinds back to how the concept of the album/tour started.”

Meanwhile, others had jokes about waiting for the album’s visuals. “It will flash ‘YOU ARE THE VISUALS,’” someone else chimed in on Parkwood’s post.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Fired Its Writers And Directors To Prepare For An Entire ‘Overhaul’ Of Disney+ TV Strategy

Daredevil fans may want to sit down for this one.

Heading into the strikes, Daredevil: Born Again was well into production as Charlie Cox returned for an all-new series based on the classic Marvel character. The show was expected to run for an ambitious 18 episodes and would spend a considerable amount of time with the actor’s portrayal of Matt Murdock: blind lawyer by day, brutal vigilante by night. Not anymore.

According to a new report, both the head writers and directors for Born Again have been let go after Kevin Feige and Marvel execs reviewed the footage that was shot. They did not like what they saw.

Via The Hollywood Reporter:

The show is Marvel’s first to feature a hero who already had a successful series on Netflix, running three seasons. But sources say that [Matt] Corman and [Chris] Ord crafted a legal procedural that did not resemble the Netflix version, known for its action and violence. Cox didn’t even show up in costume until the fourth episode. Marvel, after greenlighting the concept, found itself needing to rethink the original intention of the show.

Corman and Ord will stay on as executive producers as Marvel searches for new writers and directors to give a creative reboot to Born Again, which was already a reboot to begin with.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the freak out over Daredevil: Born Again stems from larger issues with how Marvel has approached its Disney+ output, which has been a series of diminishing returns plagued by a revolving door of writers and directors. The issue reportedly reached a head with Secret Invasion, which saw its preproduction turn into a mess of warring factions only to deliver a lackluster series that received tepid reviews.

As Marvel revamps its approach to Disney+, the studio is reportedly looking to move away from shooting entire limited series without a pilot and moving into more traditional serialized television.

“Marvel wants to create shows that run several seasons, where characters can take time to develop relationships with the audience rather than feeling as if they are there as a setup for a big crossover event,” THR reports.

What Happened To ‘The Iron Claw’ Star Jeremy Allen White’s Von Erich Brother In Real Life?

(Spoilers for The Iron Claw will certainly be found below.)

A24 has debuted the first trailer for The Iron Claw, and it’s understatement to say that this movie looks intense. The trailer also didn’t shy away from making strong suggestions about the fate of Jeremy Allen White’s character, Kerry Von Erich, who might turn out to be the most intense (at least on screen) Von Erich family member of all. This will be a close competition, too, as anyone who is familiar with this wrestling family’s history knows, but given that White woke up after The Bear‘s first season with pile of A24 scripts awaiting him, it’s not hard to tell why they wanted White for this role.

Additionally, anyone who’s seen White as Lip Gallagher in Shameless knows he can layer the tragedy of a character alongside many moods, so he’s up for the task. The trailer does some heavy foreshadowing about Kerry, and at around 1:30, you can see his descent begin.

There’s no telling whether the motorcycle rider depicted here is the one that led to Kerry’s 1986 accident, which caused substantial injury to Kerry’s lower body and led to an amputated foot. This also took Kerry down the road to painkiller addiction, multiple arrests, and eventually, his suicide in 1993. This is one of several tragedies that befell the Von Erichs (led by the overbearing patriarch, Fritz), and in the trailer, Zac Efron’s Kevin Von Erich makes pointed mention of the rumored family curse. This included one of the six brothers dying in early childhood and untimely deaths for several other wrestling brothers in adulthood. Kevin is now the only Von Erich brother alive at age 66.

In other words, this movie will be much more than a bunch of jacked dudes for Christmas, but hey, at least we’ll get those jacked dudes.

The Iron Claw arrives in theaters on December 22.
