HBO Released A Trailer For ‘Hard Knocks: In Season’ Featuring The Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins were one of the NFL’s hottest teams to start the season, racking up an NFL record 70 points against Denver, but have not been able to beat the best teams on their schedule, with their three losses coming against the Bills, Eagles, and Chiefs.

As the season wears on, it’ll be fascinating to see whether they can find a way to beat those playoff caliber opponents, or if they are going to simply beat up on the bottom half of the league. We will get a chance to see that unfold unlike ever before as the Dolphins are the subject of this year’s “Hard Knocks: In Season,” as HBO and Max will take us behind the scenes of the Dolphins for a few weeks this season, starting on November 21.

If nothing else, getting more chances to hear from Mike McDaniel will be pretty entertaining, as the Miami coach is as unique a character as there is in the NFL’s coaching ranks. Beyond McDaniel, we might get a little insight into what makes this offense work so well, while seeing the defense try to figure out how to be a touch more consistent, with Jalen Ramsey almost assuredly being heavily featured by Hard Knocks.

We also will mostly see the Dolphins in two very different modes, as the next five weeks have them playing the Raiders, Jets, Commanders, Titans, and Jets (again), before closing the season with their last three real tests in the form of the Cowboys, Ravens, and Bills. The show will take us through every week of the regular season (and stick with Miami through any playoff run), and it should be fascinating to see what the difference is between these next five weeks and the three that finish the regular season.

The Smile Announced Their New Album ‘Wall Of Eyes’ With An Eerie Video For Its Title Track

In a March email to fans, The Smile let it slip that they were “deep in recording.” At that time, it was their seventh week of recording, and umpteen weeks later, more concrete album news arrived this morning, November 13. The Smile will release Wall Of Eyes on January 26, 2024, the follow-up to 2022’s A Light For Attracting Attention.

The band — comprised of drummer Tom Skinner and Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood — sweetened the announcement by dropping the title track alongside a video directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.

The black-and-white begins its five-minute unfurling with Yorke staring at a wall projecting an enlarged eyeball. He sings, “Behind a wall of eyes / Of my own device / Is that still you? / With a heart of ice / Changed to black and white / Strap yourself in.” And viewers should really take that advice because things only get trippier from there.

Watch the video above, and see the album’s tracklist as well as The Smile’s newly announced 2024 tour dates below.

1. “Wall Of Eyes”
2. “Teleharmonic”
3. “Read The Room”
4. “Under Our Pillows”
5. “Friend Of A Friend”
6. “I Quit”
7. “Bending Hectic
8. “You Know Me!”

03/13/2024 — Copenhagen @ K.B. Hallen
03/15/2024 — Brussels, BE @ Forest National
03/16/2024 — Amsterdam, NL @ AFAS Live

Billie Eilish Said She Was ‘Flattered’ By Lil Yachty Rapping About Her ‘Big Tits’ On Drake’s Album

After previously acknowledging Lil Yachty’s questionable lyrics about her, Billie Eilish finally let the public know how she felt about the rapper referencing her “big tits” on Drake’s new album.

On Drake’s “Another Late Night,” Lil Yachty raps, “She had big tits like Billie Eilish, but she couldn’t sing.” And while some fans were offended on her behalf, it doesn’t look like the singer is sweating it.

In a new interview with Variety, Eilish brushed off any appearance of offense at the tongue-in-cheek lyrics. “I think it’s fun!” she said. “I’m flattered! Yachty is my friend. Drake is my friend. It’s a joke. I do have big tits. I love it.”

The probable reason for the minor controversy is that Eilish has previously acknowledged in interviews that the attention she gets for her body can sometimes make her feel uncomfortable. In 2019, she explained that she wears baggy clothes to avoid such scrutiny, but in more recent years, she’s grown more comfortable dressing more traditionally feminine (for which she still received judgmental comments).

She addressed this in Variety as well, saying, “I have big boobs. I’ve had big boobs since I was nine years old, and that’s just the way I am. That’s how I look. You wear something that’s at all revealing, and everyone’s like, ‘Oh, but you didn’t want people to sexualize you?’” She scoffs and answers the trolls: “You can suck my ass! I’m literally a being that is sexual sometimes. F*ck you!”

Is ‘Coyote Vs. Acme’ Saved From Cancellation? It’s Complicated

Coyote Vs Acme Looney Tunes
Warner Bros Animation

Coyote vs. Acme may have escaped being crushed by a tax write-off anvil. Last week, Warner Bros. Discovery gave the John Cena film the Batgirl treatment by shelving the movie even though it had completed filming. However, after a loud and swift backlash that labeled the studio as “anti-art,” WB Discovery may have backed down.

Coyote vs. Acme reportedly had other distributors interested in licensing the film, and according to Matthew Belloni at Puck, Warner Bros. is now willing to pursue that route after realizing that shelving would damage its relationships with the creatives involved. (At this point, we should probably note that DC Studios Chief James Gunn is a producer on Coyote vs. Acme and has a “Story By” credit on the film.)

Via Puck:

Warners declined to comment, but a good source tells me the decision was made this weekend by Warners film chiefs Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy, along with new animation head Bill Damaschke, after the online outcry by filmmakers and the animation community, as well as some heated back-and-forth between the studio and reps for the director and stars. Warners had agreed to pay the top talent their streaming bonuses despite the film being scrapped, but obviously, everyone involved in this project wants it to be released by someone.

Here’s where things get complicated: While Warner Bros. is reportedly shopping Coyote vs. Acme to other platforms, Puck reports that contrary to claims by director Dave Green, the film did not test well. WB Animation is working on a new strategy for Looney Tunes and “feared the brand damage of an underperforming film, especially on the heels of Space Jam: A New Legacy.”

In short, Coyote vs. Acme could still fall off a cliff.

PinkPantheress Explained Why Her Remix Of ‘Boy’s A Liar’ With Ice Spice Changed Her Opinion On Original Version

PinkPantheress checked a “false narrative” about her when a comment she made in an interview went viral, mischaracterizing her opinion on her fan-favorite breakout hit, “Boy’s A Liar,” and its remix with Ice Spice. In the interview with The Guardian, PinkPantheress is quoted saying, “They’re crap,” but after the comments went viral on Twitter, she had to step in and make her own correction.

https://twitter.com/popcrave/status/1723791041https://uproxx.com/music/doja-cat-doubles-down-on-cash-grab-comments/105698938

“lord help us,” she wrote, adding a laughing emoji to show it wasn’t that serious. “I told the journalist I thought the OG was crap at first but the remix made me love it, I’ve said this openly before too.”

Perhaps she was worried that the comment would be received similar to Doja Cat’s comments. Ahead of the release of her new album Scarlet, the “Paint The Town Red” rapper called her two previous albums “cash-grabs” that fans “fell for.” Fans angrily responded by unfollowing her in droves on Instagram — although that didn’t stop her Scarlet Tour from selling out. (During a recent stop on the tour, she delivered a well-timed callback as she performed “Say So,” the breakout hit from her second album .)

However, perhaps PinkPantheress needn’t worry; after all, Billie Eilish also said something similar and her fans agreed when she said one of her biggest hits, “Bad Guy,” is “the stupidest song in the world.”

Adam Driver Had No Patience For A ‘Rude’ Question About The ‘Cheesy’ Crash Scenes In Michael Mann’s ‘Ferrari’

Michael Mann is planning to bring Heat 2 to heist-loving audiences, but this holiday season, his Enzo Ferrari biopic, Ferrari, will land in theaters. The film stars Adam Driver’s Italian accent alongside Penélope Cruz and newly mintedPEOPLE‘s Sexiest Man Alive” Patrick Dempsey. As for Driver’s appeal, he remains the apple of John Oliver’s eye, but no such (dubious) niceties surfaced during a recent Q&A session at Poland’s Camerimage Film Festival.

The film’s leading man was previously moved to tears by a 6-minute standing ovation in Venice following the Ferrari world premiere. Yet there will always be detractors, and an audience member used his time (as seen below) at the mic to criticize the film’s “cheesy” crash scenes while asking Driver for his opinion. Yes, really: “They looked pretty harsh, drastic and, I must say, cheesy for me. What do you think?”

Driver, who is not only the star but also an executive producer of Ferrari, didn’t even want to dive in there. In the below clip, he answered, “F*ck you, I don’t know. Next question.” The answer was greeted with laughter from the audience in attendance. As well, Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson gave a virtual thumbs up: “My man.”

As The Independent noted, director Phil Hawkins (who has made feature films but also helmed the Star Wars: Origins fan film) called the question “rude” and offered a “Fair play, Kylo.”

Driver was also thrilled to talk to Variety about the substance of the film, including the “terrifying” experience of rolling around in the vintage sports car that didn’t have seatbelts:

“It teleports you back to the time and you realize if you turn left or right the wrong way, then you’re dead … you can really feel how dangerous they are obviously, versus a contemporary Ferrari. The goal was to get thrown from the car because that was considered more safe than to be locked in this moving coffin.”

Yikes. Ferrari arrives in theaters on December 23.
