Earlier this year, Machine Gun Kelly honored a fan’s request by punching them in the face. It sounded painful, although not as painful as watching an interview MGK took part in over the weekend.
Moments before F1’s Brazilian Grand Prix kicked off, Sky Sports reporter Martin Brundle spoke to Machine Gun Kelly. The interview got off to an awkward start (“Welcome to our grid” “… I have no idea what you said, but thank you”) and only got worse from there. When Brundle asked MGK to “tell us about your career at the moment,” he replied, “I don’t think about my career. I don’t think about it.” Brundle, who clearly had no idea who he was talking to, wished Kelly “good luck” with his career, “whatever you do.”
The interview was far from over, however.
Brundle: “What do you think about our business in F1?”
MGK: “Business is great. It’s loud! Your life’s on the line. That’s exciting. I was at a studio the other week and Lewis Hamilton was in the other studio. That was nice… [interminable silence]… What do you think about my business?”
Brundle claimed that “we love your business because there’s always been a great synergy between the music business and the motor racing business somehow.” That’s when Kelly started playing the air guitar. When the reporter refused to join him on air piano, MGK gave the camera a thumb down and walked away (he later claimed his anxiety “won”). “Something tells me I won’t be on his Christmas card list,” Brundle remarked.
After the interview went viral, Machine Gun Kelly wrote on X, “my vibe is ‘the worst’ how? because someone put a microphone in my face essentially forcing me to do a random interview when i was just trying to enjoy an event? because car engines were so loud i couldnt hear him? please tell me more about why im the worst.” Maybe MGK isn’t the issue — Brundle talking to people he’s unfamiliar with (especially rappers) is.

The penultimate episode of Loki Season 2 saw the titular Norse god gain control of the time-slipping that has been plaguing him since the start of the season. However, Marvel fans quickly began theorizing that Loki was doing more than just solving a temporary problem presented in the show: He was leveling up as a character. More specifically, Loki is evolving from the God of Mischief into the God of Stories.
This change to Loki’s powers is not without precedent. Starting with the Marvel Comics series, Loki: Agent of Asgard, the Trickster God began his transition that still exists in the comics today.
Loki underwent a significant character change by coming to terms with his past – and even future versions of himself – to truly transform into a more benevolent god. Upon Loki’s rebirth, he fused with an artifact named the All-Seeing Eye which merged with his own magical abilities, seeing him rise as the reborn Loki: God of Stories.
His new abilities allowed Loki to perceive, manipulate, and in some cases completely rewrite stories and narratives within the Marvel universe. This gave Loki a somewhat meta role in Marvel Comics by greatly expanding his abilities to be able to rewrite reality at will.
Considering that the ending of Season 2 Episode 5 saw Loki manipulating time through sheer will, the God of Stories theory is pretty strong, and Marvel appears to be leaning into it.
Over the weekend, Comic Book noticed that the official Marvel social media account for the Thor movies posted a seemingly random clip from Thor: The Dark World with nothing but a clock emoji in the caption. However, the clip might not be so random.
In the brief snippet, Anthony Hopkins’ Odin is chastising Loki for his invasion of New York in the first Avengers film. “All this because Loki desires a throne,” Odin says, to which Loki spits back. “It is my birthright.”
Is Loki about to get his throne as the God of Stories? And will that throne be the TVA, or something else entirely?
The Loki Season 2 finale streams Thursday, November 9 on Disney+.
Tyler The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival returns to LA’s Dodger Stadium this weekend, November 11-12, headlined by The Hillbillies — comprised of Kendrick Lamar and his cousin Baby Keem — and SZA. The festival returns after a multi-year hiatus caused in part by COVID-19; the last Flog Gnaw was in 2019 headlined by Drake. Today, the fest announced its set times for the weekend, which you can find below.
in addition to the usual suspects, such as Tyler’s former Odd Future compatriots Earl Sweatshirt and Syd, this year’s fest will highlight a slew of rising talent, including singers Baby Rose, Ravyn Lenae, and D4vd, rabble rousing rap crews like AG Club and Paris, Texas, and genre bending artists from across the modern spectrum of music.
Since live music returned, perhaps no artist has seen their esteem grow than Fred Again.. Thematically, it makes sense, especially with how Fred’s live show celebrates the return of IRL connection and mourns the moments that were taken from us during the pandemic. Or maybe it’s just a reflection of the quality of both the music and the performances, which grew from the club level just a couple years ago to what just happened in LA, with Fred Again.. headlining eight nights at the 5K cap Shrine Expo Hall, and then adding an additional DJ set to close it out. For fans of the electronic songwriter, it was a feast, with spooky season acting as a backdrop for this victory lap run.
For those who couldn’t be there (and for those who could), photographer Julian Bajsel was on hand to capture the performances and the crowd’s enthusiasm. And though these nights were undoubtedly special for Fred and his team, they also represent the last of the current dates scheduled for this period of Fred Again.. Whether more pop up for 2024 or he is heading back to the lab remains to be seen, but for now, relive what was with these photos of Fred Again.. from Los Angeles’ Shine Expo Hall.

The 2024 Paris Olympics figure to be a big tournament for USA Basketball, as they have had a number of top stars pledge their commitment to play for Team USA next summer in an effort to bounce back from a fourth place finish at this year’s FIBA World Cup.
LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant have all made it known they plan to play for Team USA, and it will likely be something of a last ride for that generation of stars. Joel Embiid has also committed to USA Basketball over France and Cameroon, a huge get for a team without a ton of depth at the center position. How Team USA assembles its rosters going forward for World Cup and Olympic cycles going forward remains to be seen, and that will be a task for a different head coach.
Steve Kerr, who took over for Gregg Popovich after the Tokyo Olympics, told The Athletic’s Joe Vardon that he will not be extending his tenure with USA Basketball beyond Paris, explaining that he believes the job is now a two-year cycle.
“No,” Kerr said bluntly when asked if he would coach Team USA after the Paris Games. “To me, it’s a two-year; it’s a cycle. Pop coached a World Cup and the Olympics, now it’s my turn to pass the baton. I think that’s kind of how it should be. Frankly, it’s a huge commitment too. I guess I think it was different the last go-around with Coach K (Mike Krzyzewski) and Jerry (Colangelo), when they were really establishing this culture and this system where guys had to commit for a couple years. Made sense for Coach K to stay on. But I think where we are now, one cycle and you move on.”
It does make sense for Kerr to move one, but that does mean Grant Hill and the rest of USA Basketball’s decision makers will need to have a succession plan in place. Tyronn Lue and Erik Spoelstra were lead assistants for Kerr at the World Cup and both figure to be frontrunners for the job once he steps down, as they have plenty of experience and the respect of top players around the NBA.

In September, Tate McRae, Uproxx’s May 2022 cover star, set the bar high for her next era with “Greedy,” her unfairly catchy single that has so far peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Global 200 and No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. And it worked. Yes, we’re greedy and want more Tate McRae. Luckily, the ascending Canadian pop star came prepared to satisfy her fans’ craving.
On Monday morning, November 6, McRae announced Think Later, her sophomore album, will arrive on December 8. The LP was executive produced by ubiquitous hitmaker Ryan Tedder. “This new body of work explores the all-too-relatable feelings of falling in love and embracing the raw emotions that you experience as a result of leading with your intuition and heart,” a press release relays.
McRae separately added context in a lengthy Instagram caption, writing, “we’re here guys. my sophomore album. this album means sooo much to me and i can’t believe it’s so close to coming out. writing this whole thing was one of the most stressful, exciting, nerve racking, and fun things i’ve ever gone through.”
She continued, “for the first time in my life i lived this year a little less with my head and a little more with my intuition – and i rlly hope u guys can feel that through the music. through the biggest highs of my life to the lowest of lows – i feel so happy that it is now gonna be yours <3 here’s to 20 years old and figuring who the f*ck i am haha.”
Fans will have 53 opportunities to witness McRae’s self-exploration, as she also confirmed a 2024 world tour, aptly billed as the Think Later Tour. Before then, she will make her Saturday Night Live debut as the musical guest on the November 18 episode hosted by Jason Momoa on November 18.

After The Late Show host Stephen Colbert took a week off to recover from COVID-19, his show was, unfortunately, unable to tape this week. So, the show is re-airing some of the best episodes from the past month, including musical performances from Arlo Parks, Boygenius, and Willie Nelson. Here are the musical guests for the week of November 6-10, 2023.
Arlo Parks — Tuesday, November 7
The English singer and songwriter originally appeared on October 23 to perform the song “Weightless” from her new album My Soft Machine. You can see that performance here as well.
Boygenius — Wednesday, November 8
Originally popping up on the show on October 3, the trio had a ball performing “Cool About It” from their album The Record. Clustered around a single mic, they played the gentle ballad in matching Tarantino-esque suits under a spotlight, highlighting the music and tamping down on some of their more boisterous antics.
Willie Nelson — Thursday, November 9
The country legend stopped by the show last Wednesday ahead of his induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, performing not one but two songs: “I Never Cared For You” and then a surprise encore of “Whiskey River,” both of which appear on his Greatest Hits album.
Caroline Polachek — Friday, November 10
From the October 24 episode, the alt-pop star performed her new song “Dang” as a “hot teacher,” complete with a tongue-in-cheek PowerPoint presentation.
Pigs can make some interesting pets. While most people aren’t walking around with one of those giant 600 pound pigs in their house, the much smaller versions can be found hanging out in suburban backyards or sleeping in a dog bed inside. But no matter how domesticated a pig is, they’re still pigs and pigs get into things, especially when there’s food involved.
One woman’s pig decided to show his escape skills when the neighbor’s decided to set pumpkins out on their front porch. Carlton quickly became known as a pumpkin thief around the neighborhood because he didn’t stop at one neighbor. Oh no, it was spooky season, pumpkins were everywhere and by pumpkins we’re talking cute carved jack-o-lanterns.
Carlton did not care about the craftsmanship of these pumpkins or how long it took the family to carve them. All the pig knew was that he wanted them in his belly at all costs.
The pigs human was not only mortified when she saw him snacking on someone else’s pumpkin in her back yard, she was baffled as to how he got it. But it didn’t take her long to figure out how much of an escape artist he really was. Amanda, the pig’s owner tried everything to keep him from getting out but nothing seemed to work.
“It didn’t matter what I tried, changing the locks, changing the leash. He was going to find a way to get out and get people’s pumpkins,” Amanda tells The Dodo.
Thankfully the neighbors weren’t upset and after Halloween, they brought the little pumpkin stealer all the pumpkins he could eat. But Carlton had a surprise for his mom, this whole time he had actually been planting the pumpkin seeds by rolling the pumpkins around to get the seeds out and while he was rooting around in the yard eating, he was inadvertently planting. Or maybe it was on purpose. Either way, the next spring Amanda’s front yard was full of pumpkins.
Watch the video to find out what Carlton’s family did with all of the pumpkins.
