The holiday season has arrived with its cozy vibe, joyous celebrations and inevitable indulgences. From Thanksgiving feasts to Christmas cookie exchanges to Aunt Eva’s irresistible jelly donuts—not to mention leftover Halloween candy still lingering—fall and winter can feel like a non-stop gorge fest.
Total resistance is fairly futile—let’s be real—so it’s helpful to arm yourself with ways to mitigate the effects of eating-all-the-things around the holidays. Serving smaller amounts of rich, celebratory foods and focusing on slowly savoring the taste is one way. Another is to counteract those holiday calorie-bomb meals with some lighter fare in between.
Contrary to popular belief, eating “light” doesn’t have to be tasteless, boring or unsatisfying. And contrary to common practice, meals don’t have to fill an entire plate—especially when we’re trying to balance out heavy holiday eating.
It is possible to enjoy the bounties of the season while maintaining a healthy balance. Whether you prefer to eat low-carb or plant-based or gluten-free or everything under the sun, we’ve got you covered with these 10 easy, low-calorie meals from across the dietary spectrum.
Each of these recipes has less than 600 calories (most a lot less) per serving and can be made in less than 30 minutes. And Albertsons has made it easy to find O Organics® ingredients you can put right in your shopping cart to make prepping these meals even simpler.
Since the ordeal, Foxx has posted various social media updates, though he largely remained out of the spotlight, that is until this week when he appeared at the Critics Choice Association’s Celebration of Cinema and Television event. Foxx accepted an honor from Jurnee Smollett, and the actor references his harrowing hospital stay to the audience.
“You know, it’s crazy, I couldn’t do that six months ago — I couldn’t actually walk,” Foxx told the audience. He then poked fun at various rumors that he was replaced by another Foxx look-a-like. “I’m not a clone, I’m not a clone. I know a lot of people who was saying I was cloned out there.” This is a common theory among celebs, unfortunately.
While the actor didn’t disclose what really went down, he added that he has a new lease on life, “I wouldn’t wish what I went through on my worst enemy, because it’s tough. I have a new respect for life. I have a new respect for my art. I watched so many movies and listened to so many songs trying to have the time go by. Don’t give up on your art, man, don’t give up,” he said.
Back in Action, Foxx’s upcoming Netflix movie, is expected to drop sometime next year. Even though he is not a clone, they did have to use a body double in order to wrap up filming, so yeah, he was replaced for a little bit. But now he’s back!
“One of your producers, Chuck Roven, called me, because we worked together on some other projects,” she told Murphy. “And he was like, ‘I think you guys should move your date.’ And I was like, ‘We’re not moving our date. If you’re scared to be up against us, then you move your date.’ And he’s like, ‘We’re not moving our date. I just think it’d be better for you to move.’ And I was like, ‘We’re not moving!’ I think this is a really great pairing, actually. It’s a perfect double billing, Oppenheimer and Barbie.”
That’s also the correct order to watch them in a double feature.
Later in the interview, Robbie made a reference to Mean Girls that Murphy had a very Cillian “What’s a Meme?” Murphy response to.
ROBBIE: No, I’m not done with pink yet. Yeah, the costumes were incredible. I mean, you just can’t have a Barbie movie without the color pink. And everyone really got on board with that. I’d make a “On Wednesdays, we wear pink” day. Do you know that reference from Mean Girls?
MURPHY: I had forgotten that reference.
Murphy and Oppenheimer director Christopher Nolan have made six movies together. Their next collaboration should be a documentary about Murphy watching Mean Girls. That’s the entire movie: just a fixed shot on Murphy saying “that’s funny” at the Halloween party scene. It would outgross Barbie.

This week saw the highly-anticipated drop of the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer, which arrived after years of rumors that will only persist as the game still has a way to go until its release date. GTA fans were hit with a bit of bad news in that department as the trailer revealed that the sixth installment won’t arrive until 2025. The news got even worse for PC gamers.
According to an official press release from Rockstar Games, GTA VI will simultaneously launch on PlayStation 5 and XBox Series X as it goes for a fully next-generation console release. However, a PC version of the game was notably left out. As TechRadar reports, this news is frustrating to PC gamers, but not without precedent. Previous Rockstar Games like GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 experienced significant delays in getting a PC release, which is almost definitely the case here.
The lack of a PC release date for GTA VI also confirms an insider report that “Rockstar is trying to avoid a disastrous PC launch like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and The Last of Us Part 1.” The PC version of GTA VI is reportedly “more buggy than the console versions” hence the delay.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Grand Theft Auto VI heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.
Grand Theft Auto VI arrives some time in 2025, so strap in for a bit of a wait.

Christian Friede, who plays Höss, told Vogue that while filming The Zone of Interest at a house near Auschwitz, he “felt the responsibility towards the victims every day. And when I visited Auschwitz for the first time and understood the dimension of the crime, I felt the responsibility. It’s so… huge.” He added. “How is it possible to kill so many people in a short period of time? The organization of Rudolph Höss to perform this incredible crime, to make it more effective — it’s unbelievable and horrible.”
The Zone of Interest, which also stars Sandra Hüller (who deserves an Oscar nomination for her performance in Anatomy of a Fall), releases in select theaters on December 15th.
Unlike KISS, “Don’t Let Me Get Me” singer Pink, in all of her acrobatic glam rock goodness, won’t be retiring from the road anytime soon. After her colossal performance schedule this year, you’d think Pink would take it down a notch next year. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. Instead, today (December 5), Pink has announced that, yet again, she’s extending her Summer Carnival Tour.
In 2024, Pink, alongside Sheryl Crow, The Script, Gayle, and Kid Cut Up, will tour the globe together. After her Australian wing spanning across February and March 2024, the musicians are set to embark on a several-month musical journey across the UK and then back to the US. Pink first shared the news last month, listing June and July 2024 dates. Now, the remainder of her year is pretty much booked up.
Hopefully, this go around, Pink isn’t greeted with the ashes of a concertgoer’s loved one or a wheel of cheese. View the full 2024 Summer Carnival Tour schedule below. Presale for Pink’s 2024 Summer Carnival Tour begins on Thursday, December 7, at 10 a.m. local time. The general sale kicks off on Monday, December 11, at 10 a.m. Find more information here.
