Tommy Lee Has Been Accused Of Allegedly Sexually Assaulting A Woman In A Helicopter

Last month, multiple explosive lawsuits were filed accusing the entertainment industry’s biggest names of several egregious acts. On Saturday, December 16, Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee’s name was added to this ongoing list. In documents obtained by Rolling Stone, Lee has been sued by a Jane Doe plaintiff, alleging that he sexually assaulted her during a helicopter ride in February 2003.

In the filing, Doe claims that while traveling from San Diego County to Van Nuys, California, Lee forcibly groped, kissed, penetrated her with his fingers, and attempted to force her to perform oral copulation.

“At one point, Lee penetrated the plaintiff with his fingers while fondling her breasts,” reads the paperwork. “Lee then pulled down his pants and attempted to force the plaintiff’s head toward his genitals. By this point, the plaintiff was in tears but had nowhere to go — she was trapped with little mobility to leave the cockpit.”

Lee isn’t the only party named in the lawsuit. Mayhem Touring, Tommy Lee Inc., A Natural High Helicopters, and Social Helicopters are also named as defendants. Although the flight’s pilot, David Martz, who died in 2015, was mentioned in the recounting of the incident, which accused him of facilitating the alleged assault, he was not posthumously listed as a co-defendant.

The defendants are being sued for sexual assault, gender violence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligence. Doe is asking for past, present, and future damages, including but not limited to medical expenses, loss of earnings, and loss of earnings capacity.

‘SNL’ Weekend Update’s Colin Jost Said It’s ‘Hilarious’ How Much Rudy Giuliani Owes In His Court Settlement

Last week was not a great one for Rudy Giuliani. Most weeks over the last three years have not been great for the very former “America’s Mayor,” but usually they’re simply humiliating. This one was gutting. First it was revealed he’s basically broke. Then a judge ordered him to pay a staggering amount to the two poll workers whose lives he upended, all for a guy who let him take the fall. SNL resisted kicking Giuliani when he’s down for their latest Cold Open, despite the presence of host and impersonator Kate McKinnon. But they saved up some yuks for Weekend Update.

“After being found liable for defamation against two Georgia election workers, Rudy Giuliani was ordered yesterday to pay the hilarious sum of 148 million dollars,” said Colin Jost. “You might as well just make it a billion, ’cause there’s no way he can pay it.”

Jost then went in for the kill: “At this point they only call Giuliani the ‘Mayor of 9/11’ because that’s all that’s left in his bank account.”

The show then brought up an image from Giuliani’s historic mysterious black goo gaffe, with Jost describing him as “amazingly seen here in better times.”

Jost went on saying that Giuliani “said during the trial that it was an ‘accident’ that he attacked the plaintiffs repeatedly on social media, with the judge noting, ‘there’s a lot of accidents going on.’ Said Giuliani, ‘Oh, you could smell that?’”

Later on in the segment, Che and Jost embarked on their annual “Joke Swap,” which resulted in the former forcing the latter to make a brutal swipe at his wife, actress Scarlett Johansson.

‘SNL’ Weekend Update’s Annual ‘Joke Swap’ Included Colin Jost Forced To Take A Brutal Swipe At His Wife’s Movies

Every year, for the year’s final SNL, Weekend Update hosts Michael Che and Colin Jost have a fun little tradition. It’s called “Joke Swap,” and it’s just that: Che forces Jost to read jokes he wrote for him, and vice versa. Che’s jokes for Jost, though, are a little special: They usually involve forcing him to say something racially tinged, to make his humiliation all the more powerful. This year Che upped the ante in more ways than one.

For one thing, he invited on one “Dr. Hattie Davis,” described as a “poet, author, activist.” (Note: There is no information online for Hattie Davis, and Reddit folks have ID’d her as an extra seen in past episodes.) That way any joke Jost is forced to recite would be all the more embarrassing for him. We’ll get back to that in a bit.

For another, towards the end of “Joke Swap 2023,” Che got personal.

“New York state now allows movie theaters to serve alcohol,” Jost was forced to say, “which is how I’m finally able to enjoy my wife’s little art movies.” Of course, Jost’s wife is none other than Scarlett Johansson, and the dig prompted a poster for Black Widow, her final MCU bout, to pop up. (In reality, Jost did avoid watching that one, but for other reasons.)

But wait, there was more: “I’m kidding, honey. I love all of your movies. And if you ask me, you’re an even better black widow than Coretta Scott King.”

That wasn’t the most mortifying joke Jost had to make in front of Dr. Davis. You can judge which one was worse for yourself, but Jost did get in his own digs via one joke he made Che read.

“Last month Beyoncé posted a photo on Instagram of herself in a chrome Versace dress and platinum blonde hair that many people online described as ‘too white,’” Che was forced to read. “In fact, Beyoncé looked so white that I was finally attracted to her.”

‘SNL’ Ended The Year With A Rare Apolitical Cold Open About The ’95th Annual Christmas Awards’

SNL Cold Opens aren’t always great. Some are actively bad. The one last week, though, was a rarity: a true epic misfire. It saw the live sketch show taking on a powder keg situation: university students protesting Israel’s continued attacks on Palestine. To say they didn’t handle it well would be an understatement. Original star Cecily Strong even pulled out at the last moment, allegedly because it left her “uncomfortable.”

Perhaps that explains the rabidly apolitical Cold Open that kicked off the final SNL of 2023, a sketch so anodyne that it might actually be worse.

The subject is the “95th Annual Christmas Awards,” hosted by “two people from the E! Network you’ve never heard of,” played by Heidi Gardner and Bowen Yang. That we never actually learn their lines is the best joke of the sketch. The other jokes are all very safe and easy. They hand out accolades for “Most Disappointing Gift Given to a 10-Year-Old Boy” and “Most Unwelcome Uninvited Guest,” whose nominees included “COVID.”

As with last week’s controversial opener, Kenan Thompson swooped in at the end to save the day, not with better material so much as peerless delivery. He played the winner of the special “Bravery in the Service of Their Family” award, winning for “Grandpa Needs Help In the Bathroom.”

“You never want to get that phone call,” Thompson said. “But when you do, you go in there, grit your teeth and try not to make eye contact. I’m horrified to accept this award.”

It’s tradition that the night’s guest host not appear in the Cold Open, but given that this week was lorded over by alum Kate McKinnon, and given that McKinnon does a mean Rudy Giuliani, and given that Rudy Giuliani had quite another wacky week, surely they could have made an exception.

What’s Popular On Streaming Now

Reacher Poster
Amazon

Every single week, our TV and film experts will list the most important ten streaming selections for you to pop into your queues. We’re not strictly operating upon reviews or accrued streaming clicks (although yes, we’ve scoured the streaming site charts) but, instead, upon those selections that are really worth noticing amid the churning sea of content. There’s a lot out there, after all, and your time is valuable.

TIE: 10. Squid Game: The Challenge (Netflix series)

Surprise, this show has already been renewed by Netflix so that another gathering of contestants can feel utterly miserable while competing in challenges when only one of them will go hope with the grand prize. Granted, that grand prize is worth millions and is hopefully worth the wait. Fortunately, no one was (seriously) harmed in the making of this reality-based reenactment of the runaway dystopian hit, even if the Rock, Paper, Scissors and Marbles challenges really riled people up.

TIE: 10. The Holdovers (Focus Features film available on VOD & Amazon Prime)

The Descendants and Election director Alexander Payne directs his first feature film in six years. In doing so, he reteams with Sideways star Paul Giamatti, who portrays a curmudgeonly teacher at a fancy prep school in New England. This is sort-of a Christmas movie, too, since this teacher must stay on campus during holiday break with those students whose parents are too busy skiing in The Alps (or something like that) to come home. This leads to unlikely bonds with other adults who are also stuck in the same situation.

9. Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie (Peacock film)

Sure, this is a film, but think of it as a longish episode for those who have missed Tony Shalhoub’s OCD-afflicted homicide-detective-turned consultant. This time, the case is incredibly personal and happens to involve Molly, the beloved and about-to-be-married stepdaughter of Monk. Sadly, this involves a bungee-jumping debacle, and Monk must confront another major fear beyond the whole germ thing.

8. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (Apple TV+ series)

Godzilla Minus One is making a (literal, at least onscreen) killing in theaters as we speak, but you can still have some of that nuclear lizard in your own home. Kurt and Wyatt Russell have been showing off a connection to that particular monster as Army officer Lee Shaw (at different ages, obviously), and that team could actually end up saving humanity. Can life imitate art, please?

7. Fargo (FX series streaming on Hulu)

This actually might be the most collectively well-regarded Fargo season in years. Juno Temple’s performance is a huge part of that occasion, but do not discount the contributions of Jon Hamm, his Hamm-butt, those nipple rings, and a cowboy hat while generally being threatening. That doesn’t even account with whatever is going on with seemingly eternal Ole Munch. Overall, this is another Midwestern delight and proof that this series will last for quite some time, long past the Coen Brothers project that started it all.

6. May December (Netflix movie)

Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman star as a Mary Kay Letourneau-like figure and a TV star, respectively. The former’s husband ends up sleeping with the latter, and yes, that would still be the younger husband (Charles Melton) in a tabloid-like setup. Portman opened up about the film’s uncomfortable sex scene, but this isn’t simply salacious fuel for the masses. All three actors mentioned here received Golden Globe nods, as did the film as a whole.

5. Obliterated (Netflix series)

This ain’t Cobra Kai, but the series does hail from the same creators (Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald), who are in more R-rated mode with a story about an elite special forces team that gets completely hosed in Vegas after thinking that their terrorist target has been vanquished. Once they discover that they actually didn’t take out the real nuke, then they must try to get it together in time to save thousands of lives. Wish them luck.

4. The Crown (Netflix series)

The very final episodes are afoot for those who have managed to stop weeping over the Diana-focused arc and move onto the era where Harry and William are both showing that they are ill-equipped to be king. As we know in reality, Elizabeth did not decide skip a generation of succession as suggested in some tabloids, and Charles must be relieved to finally be king as this monarchy-dragging series comes to a close. There’s a disproportional focus on Will and Kate Middleton in these episodes, but Elizabeth does kind-of try to make herself come full circle.

3. Slow Horses (Apple TV+ series)

Gary Oldman might be enjoying this role more than any other (even Bram Stoker’s Dracula) from decades past. That’s what happens when a dude doesn’t have to be distinguished anymore and gets to fart and eat onscreen to his heart’s discontent. Oldman’s failed spymaster leads a team of British intelligence klutzes that include Olivia Cooke, and finally, some fallible secret agents are getting the attention that they so richly deserve. The series is based upon Mick Herronthe’s Slough Horses novels, and there’s still much more dark comedy to be mined where that came from.

2. Reacher (Amazon Prime series)

Good news for dads and possibly you, too. Lee Child’s bestselling novels continue to come to hulking life (starring the 6’2″ Alan Ritchson) as opposed to the Tom Cruise movie. Season 3 is already filming, but the second round is now available and should satisfy those pie-and-vending-machine cravings in the meantime. This batch of episodes doubles down on the brilliant simplicity of both Jack Reacher and this show when he teams up members of his former Army unit to stop some murder business. Together, they continue to dive into a high-stakes mystery full of betrayal and revelations, and lest you think that Reacher is all brains and no brain, well, think again.

1. Leave The World Behind (Netflix movie)

Julia Roberts, Mahershala Ali, and Ethan Hawke all star in the same Netflix flick, which means that streaming has truly arrived. Carve out plenty of time if you can to watch this Sam Esmail-directed project produced by Barack and Michelle Obama, and it’s an apparent apocalyptic tale like no other. Elon Musk seems slightly confused about the wrong part of the film, but it’s also up to the viewer to decide exactly what the threat is in this story and whether humanity can survive.

Billie Eilish Took Us For A Walk Down Memory Lane In Her ‘What Was I Made For?’ Performance On ‘SNL’

In the final Saturday Night Live episode of 2023, Billie Eilish made a TK return as tonight’s musical guest. During her first performance of the night, the prolific recording artist delivered a TK rendition of her Barbie soundtrack anthem, “What Was I Made For?”

While on stage, Eilish delivered hauntingly beautiful vocals — surpassing the forlornness and intimacy of the studio recording. She was joined by her brother, Finneas, whose piano accompaniment made the song all the more personal.

Midway through the song, clips from Eilish and Finneas’ family home videos played in a montage in the background, showing footage from her childhood, juxtaposed as Eilish ponders her existence through song.

It’s been a while since Eilish has dropped an album. Her most recent project Happier Than Ever dropped in 2021. But Barbie‘s “What Was I Made For?” proved to be a buzzy hit this year, receiving many accolades and much acclaimed.

The song “What Was I Made For?,” along with its writers Eilish and Finneas, is nominated for five Grammy Awards at the 2024 ceremony, including Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Best Song Written For Visual Media.

Billie Eilish Sang Her Cares Away In A Smooth Performance Of ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’ On ‘Saturday Night Live’

In her second performance of the night on the Saturday Night Live stage, Billie Eilish brought in some Christmas spirts. Once again joined by her brother, Finneas, Eilish delivered a smooth, jazzy version of the holiday classic, “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.”

Dressed in red, Eilish maintained the intimate mood she set with her previous performance of “What Was I Made For?” The stage was decorated in bright lights and jolly colors, with snowflakes falling upon Eilish midway through her performance.

Though Eilish only dropped one song this past year, both of her performances made for a special gift for the fans this holiday season.

It’s been over two years since Eilish dropped her last album, Happier Than Ever, but fans might not have to wait too long for new music. In an interview on The Tonight Show Starting Jimmy Fallon, Eilish teased her upcoming third studio album.

Eilish revealed that she is “almost done” with the project, prompting Fallon to ask for more details. Eilish kept mum, but teased that fans will know more info in due time.

“At some point you will know more, but I’m not going to say anything else,” Eilish said.

Leon Edwards Defeated Colby Covington To Retain The Welterweight Belt At UFC 296

Leon Edwards (22-3) defeated Colby Covington (17-4) by unanimous decision to retain the Welterweight Championship at UFC 296 from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The first round began with Edwards measured and composed circling around Covington. The challenger tossed a few casual leg kicks, but played an unorthodox opening to the fight as he sat back and waiting for Edwards to strike. Edwards cut the cage off for Covington, finding opportunities for left and right hooks while the challenger eventually went for an unsuccessful takedown. Edwards remained untested to close the first.

Covington upped the tempo to open the second, but Edwards quickly put him a step back with a snapping hook. Midway through the round, both fighters stood in a stalemate, with neither able to make much progress. A welt began to develop on Covington’s front leg from Edwards’ repeated leg kicks. Edwards continued to chip away with a swiping head kick, moving back to the body, then the head again. Edwards backed Covingiton against the cage, then hit another leg kick as Covington winced.

Between rounds, Covington’s corner urged him to up the pressure after a lackluster first two rounds. Covington pressed to open the third, but Edwards settled back into bringing the fight to the challenger. Edwards snapped another leg kick that made the challenger take an additional step. Covington shot in against the cage, was able to slide Edwards off to the side and took him to the mat. Edwards exploded up, then moved in for a takedown of Covington. He stood up and allowed Covington back to his feet before pressing forward with leg kicks, jabs, and body shots.

Covington opened the fourth with another takedown attempt, but Edwards caught him and nearly choked him out from a standing position. Edwards continued to chip away with a straight kick to the body, a straight left, then a leg kick. Covington shot in for another takedown, but was unsuccessful. Covington answered with a big left hand, then followed with another straight left. He hit Edwards with another straight shot, then went for a takedown against the cage with about a minute left in the round. Edwards scrambled with Covington, then got low and flipped Covington over his back, allowing him back to his feet before the end of the round.

In the fifth and final round, Edwards again walked down Covington, immediately targeting a head kick. Covington shot for a takedown and was successful, moving to take Edwards back, but the champ got back to his feet and earned yet another takedown of Covington. He took the challenger’s back before Covington flipped and Edwards had a chance for a triangle choke. Covington flipped out to take control on the ground. From side control, Covington did everything he could to earn points, punching at the champ’s side before the buzzer rang.

Edwards won the belt in 2022 with a last-minute knockout of Kamaru Usman. He followed that up with a decision victory over Usman in their sequel earlier this year before moving onto Covington.

Covington suffered a 2019 knockout by Usman and has been a bit up and down since. In 2020, he knocked out former champion Tyron Woodley, lost a decision bout to Usman in 2021, then earned a decision victory over Jorge Masvidal in 2022.

The Ladies Of ‘Saturday Night Live’ Keep Their Tampon Farm Thriving In Their Country-Inspired Music Video

Kate McKinnon showed off her comedy, acting, and musical prowess on tonight’s episode of Saturday Night Live. In addition to her amazing opening monologue, McKinnon delivered a catchy anthem celebrating menstruation and its vital accessories.

In a new music video, McKinnon brought viewers down to a special farm. Channeling country singers like The Chicks, Mckinnon was joined by fellow SNL actresses Maya Rudolph and Kristen Wiig, as they all made tampons on a special tampon farm.

Now, if you’re confused about the happenings of a tampon farm, McKinnon and the ladies break it down for us by way of a certified country-pop banger.

“Tampon fur / women making cotton / cotton for the tampons / tampons for the blood / tampon fur / women with guitars are singing to the tampons / tampon fur / Sun makes the fires / she hands load the fibers / into little things of plastic / to go in a jean and the moon makes the menses / and the menses makes the fibers / and they sing,” sings McKinnon on the song’s chorus.

Throughout the clip, many of the ladies of SNL make appearances, including Chloe Fineman, and the musical guest of the night, Billie Eilish. Fans may also catch SNL writer Paula Pell, who is also known as Gloria on Girls5EVa.
