NBA teams are pretty good at finding ways to convince fans to make a lot of noise during free throws. One of the tried and true best ways to make that happen: Offer fans free food in the event that a player on the opposing team misses both of their attempts from the charity stripe.
The Milwaukee Bucks are one of those teams, as fans are able to get free wings from Wingstop if an opposing player goes 0-for-2. And lucky for fans at Fiserv Forum on Saturday night, that ended up happening, as Naji Marshall bricked two free throws while the game was way out of hand. In order to get the wings, you apparently have to scan a QR code that was up on the video board, so Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo made it a point to grab a phone and scan the code so he can get some damn wings after what must have been a very strange week in Milwaukee.

It is unclear if that was his phone or if he literally grabbed any phone and made it a point to call dibs on those wings. Anyway, the Bucks were able to pick up a 141-117 win behind 30 points, 12 rebounds, four rebounds, and two steals from Antetokounmpo, who I assume got to enjoy a delicious meal from Wingstop once he got home.
Justin Timberlake is back, and heâs pulling out all the stops. Tonight (January 27), the pop artist made a return to Saturday Night Live, as he gears up to release his sixth studio album,Everything I Thought It Was. In his first performance of the night, Timberlake premiered a new song, âSanctified.â
During the performance, Timberlake showed off his soulful vocal chops. Joined by a choir, four electric guitarists, and drummers, Timberlake displayed the versatility, for which heâs become known throughout his illustrious career.
âYou know Iâm an animal / I belong in the wild, wild, wild / When I get out of control ainât no bringing me down down down,â he sings on the songâs opening verse.
Houston rapper Tobe Nwigwe made an appearance, adding a scorching verse at the bridge.
This coming Wednesday (January 31), Timberlake is performing a free show at Irving Plaza in New York City. Fans can start requesting tickets, however, wonât find out if theyâve been selected until the day before the show. This show follows another free show he performed in Memphis earlier this month, where he first performed âSanctified,â as well as his new single, âSelfish.â

WWE closed the 2024 Royal Rumble by determining which competitor will challenge Roman Reigns or Seth Rollins at WrestleMania XL in Philadelphia. When the dust settled, Cody Rhodes officially gave himself a chance to finish his story, as he threw CM Punk over the top rope and secured his second consecutive win in the Rumble.
The match started with Jey and Jimmy Uso drawing 1 and 2, before Grayson Waller came out at 3 and held an impromptu episode of The Grayson Waller Effect. After eating a superkick from Jey, Waller and Jimmy Uso teamed up on the former member of The Bloodline before the first big surprise of the menâs match, the return of Andrade.
WWE kept the surprise returns in the menâs Rumble to a minimum through the first two-thirds of a match, but at 22, Pat McAfee entered the ring after spending the night alongside Michael Cole and Corey Graves on commentary. Unfortunately for McAfee, he immediately left the match after seeing that Omos and Bron Breakker in the ring.
In maybe the funniest moment of the night, R-Truth entered the match, but acted like he was instead in a tag team match. He stood on the apron while Dominik Mysterio was in a sleeper hold from Gunther, but once he got âtagged in,â he attacked Gunther and started to give him John Cenaâs Five Knuckle Shuffle. It did not go especially well for him after that, but it was very, very funny.
At 27, CM Punk made his highly-anticipated return to the Royal Rumble on the 10-year anniversary of his original departure from the company and quickly eliminated Dominik Mysterio.
The match closed with Gunther, Drew McIntyre, CM Punk, and Cody Rhodes in the ring. McIntyre was the first go, as he delivered Claymore Kicks to everyone but got tossed over the top rope by Punk. Gunther then got hot, giving Punk a powerbomb before trying to throw out Rhodes. But his efforts were unsuccessful, as Rhodes was dropped onto the apron but kept on a headlock, eventually pulling Gunther over the rope and onto the floor.
With only Punk and Rhodes remaining, the two exchanged blows in the center of the ring. Rhodes was eventually able to get the upper hand, but Punk caught him and gave him a trio of German suplexes. After hitting him with a running bulldog, Punk signaled that it was time to hit Rhodes with a GTS and picked him up onto his shoulders. Rhodes was able to reverse this and land a sequence of blows before a Bionic Elbow, only for Punk to then reverse an attempted Cross Rhodes.
Punk went for the GTS once again, but Rhodes countered and finally hit a Cross Rhodes. As he picked him up and tried to get him out of the ring, however, Punk was able to get him up and nail a GTS. Punk got Rhodes up onto his shoulders again and tried to dump him over the top rope, only for Rhodes to land on the apron and roll back into the ring. A pedigree by Punk led to some trash talk towards, as he said, âDustyâs kid,â and another attempt at a GTS.
But Rhodes was able to wiggle his way off and threw Punk over the top rope to officially go back-to-back in the Royal Rumble. As the night came to an end, Rhodes stood on the turnbuckle and appeared to pick which champion heâll face off against at WrestleMania, as he pointed directly to the box that held Roman Reigns.
Roman Reigns pinned AJ Styles to win 4-way match that included Randy Orton and LA Knight for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the 2024 Royal Rumble.
Styles, Knight, and Orton kicked off the match going after the champ and beating him down in the corner. Styles quickly turned his attention to Knight and the two went at it while Orton continued to work on Reigns.
The action spilled to the outside, where Knight slammed Styles against the announce table and Orton picked up and threw Reigns on top of the table. Orton tried to do the same to Knight, who reversed with a backflip and slammed Ortonâs head into the table. Orton then got him back by picking up Knight and throwing him on top of the table.
Orton rolled Reigns into the ring and went to work with lower body stomps before throwing him to the outside. Styles got into the ring and was met with a powerslam before Knight attacked Orton from behind, while Reigns finally got some momentum knocking down Knight and hitting him with his signature short arm clotheslines in the corner. Styles hit Reigns from behind and again worked his legs, and Reigns hit a gigantic back body drop before taunting to the crowd and setting up for a Superman Punch on Knight, which was reversed.
Knight hit Orton with a running bulldog, then jumped to the other side of the ring and hit a suplex from the top rope on Styles. Styles landed the Pele kick on Reigns before connecting with the Styles Clash for a two count. Orton tossed Knight to the apron and landed the signature DDT.
Styles tried to set up for the Phenomenal Forearm, but Orton hit an RKO, followed by RKOs on Knight and Reigns. He went for the pin on Reigns, but Solo Sikoa pulled the ref out at the two count.
Sikoa hit a Samoan Spike on Orton, then on Knight. He dragged Knight onto Orton, then ran through the barricade as he tried to take out Styles. The Phenomenal One climbed back into the ring and connected on Reigns, then piled up all three opponents for only a two count.
Styles rolled out of the ring to grab a chair, hitting Reigns over and again in the back. He then hit Knight and turned his attention to Orton, who caught him with an eye rake. Reigns landed the Spear and Reigns pushed Knight into the ropes, knocking Styles off and eventually hitting him with a spear for the pinfall.
Listen, Iâm not going to sit here and tell you to be amazed by the stuff Victor Wembanyama does. You are your own person, and you can consume things with whatever level of awe you want. Having said that, I have no clue how anyone can watch Victor Wembanyama, who is 7â4 and 20 years old, do a perfect Shammgod while being guarded by Rudy Gobert and not find themselves in a state of pure amazement.
Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs played host to Gobert and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night. During the gameâs second quarter, Wembanyama got the ball at the top of the key with Gobert on him. He proceeded to do a dribble move that guys much smaller than him (this includes Lamar Odom!) feel comfortable doing in an game, and then he just â and I am sorry, but I need to use caps here â WENT RIGHT OVER THE TOP OF THREE-TIME NBA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR RUDY GOBERT for a layup that banked off the glass and went in.
Maybe someone will figure out a way to stop this stuff someday, but then again, Wembanyama is still new to being an NBA player and can still get better. Anyway, when Gobert and Wembanyama are with the French national team for the Olympics in Paris this summer, I hope Wemby teaches him how to do this.
WWE went down to St. Petersburg on Saturday night for the Royal Rumble, and to kick things off, 30 women entered the ring to determine who will main event WrestleMania this year. And after entering third and eliminating seven other competitors, Bayley was able to get the job done and win the match for the first time in her decorated career.
Natalya and a returning Naomi kicked things off, with the latterâs return being the first big surprise of the night â Saturday marked the first time that Naomi, who had been competing in TNA, stepped into a WWE ring since May of 2022.
As the ring started to fill up, one of the biggest surprises of the night came in the number five spot, as Jordynne Grace, the reigning TNA Knockouts World Champion, entered the Rumble. While in the ring, she shared an embrace with Naomi, who she beat to win the title earlier this month.
The next surprise entrant looked like it was going to come at No. 24, when Valhalla started to make her way down to the ring. And then, R-Truthâs music hit, and he entered the Rumble and got thrown out by Nia Jax. After getting told by Adam Pierce that Truth was in the wrong Rumble, Valhalla then entered and was immediately tossed by Jax.

At 28, WWE fans got to see the highly-anticipated debut of Jade Cargill, who made the jump from AEW in October but never stepped in the ring. She immediately went face-to-face with Jax in the center of the ring, picked her up, slammed her to the mat, picked her up again, and threw her out of the match.
The final three competitors ended up being Bayley, Cargill, and Liv Morgan. All three made their way out onto the apron and traded blows, and ultimately, despite losing her Damage CTRL stablemates earlier in the match, Bayley was able to take advantage of Morgan eliminating Cargill by tossing her to the floor and earning herself a title shot at WrestleMania following a Womenâs Royal Rumble record 63:03 in the ring.
“I don’t think that we should be telling women anything. I think we should be telling men not to rape women and start the conversation there with prevention.”
So essentially â instead of teaching women how to avoid rape, let’s raise boys specifically not to rape.
There was a lot of ire raised from that idea. Maxwell was on the receiving end of a deluge of online harassment and scary threats because of her ideas, which is sadly common for outspoken women on the Internet.
People assumed it meant she was labeling all boys as potential rapists or that every man has a rape-monster he carries inside him unless we quell it from the beginning.
But the truth is most of the rapes women experience are perpetrated by people they know and trust. So fully educating boys during their formative years about what constitutes consent and why it’s important to practice explicitly asking for consent could potentially eradicate a large swath of acquaintance rape. It’s not a condemnation on their character or gender, but an extra set of tools to help young men approach sex without damaging themselves or anyone else.
But what does teaching boys about consent really look like in action?
Well, there’s the viral letter I wrote to my teen titled “Son, It’s Okay If You Don’t Get Laid Tonight” explaining his responsibility in the matter. I wanted to show by example that Maxwell’s words weren’t about shaming or blaming boys who’d done nothing wrong yet, but about giving them a road map to navigate their sexual encounters ahead.
There are also rape prevention campaigns on many college campuses, aiming to reach young men right at the heart of where acquaintance rape is so prevalent. Many men are welcoming these efforts.
And then there are creative endeavors to find the right metaphors and combination of words to get people to shake off their acceptance of cultural norms and see rape culture clearly.

There you have it. Seven comparisons that anyone can use to show how simple and logical the idea of consent really is. Consent culture is on its way because more and more people are sharing these ideas and getting people to think critically. How can we not share an idea whose time has come?
Austin Butlerâs life changed with Elvis, but to some heâs the guy who cut his teeth on Disney Channel and Nickelodeon fare. To others, though, his breakthrough was as Tex Watson, convicted Manson murderer, in Quentin Tarantinoâs Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. As the killer, heâs alternately terrifying and pathetic, even before heâs gruesomely dispatched by Brad Pittâs Cliff Booth. (Note: In real life Watson is still very much alive and still very much incarcerated.) Itâs not a huge role, but it was juicy enough that Butler shot down another big, very different movie.
âI ended up having to choose between going to the screen test for Top Gun: Maverick or saying yes to Quentin Tarantino,â Butler revealed on a recent live episode of the podcast Happy Sad Confused (as caught by IndieWire). âIâd already met with [Tarantino], so I did that.â
Butler didnât reveal which Maverick character he would have tested for. Was it the gung ho show-off Hangman, ultimately played by Glen Powell? One of the others with fun code names? Whatever the case, he would have had to undergo some truly painful-sounding training and flown in actual planes? Instead he got to have Brad Pitt fake-beat the crap out of him while one of the 2019âs best movie dogs gorged on his nuts.
Besides, he got to do some piloting later anyway, in Apple TV+âs new show Masters of the Air, so it all worked out in the end.

To most indie rock fans, Morrissey canceling a show wouldnât come as a shock. The Smithsâ former frontman reportedly once pulled out of a concert in Los Angeles because he was âtoo cold.â But when Morrissey announced that he would be hitting the road to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of his album, You Are The Quarry, folks held out hope.
Unsurprisingly, both scheduled gigs were canceled due to âunforeseen circumstances.â Following pushback from ticketholders, Morrisseyâs tour manager, Donnie Knutson, took to the musicianâs official Facebook page to explain why the performances were pulled.
âMorrissey is receiving medical supervision for physical exhaustion,â he wrote. âHe has been ordered to rest for two weeks, and he will remain in Zurich.â
Given the medical reasoning behind the You Are The Quarry anniversary shows being canceled, supporters have begun to ease up on Morrissey. The explanation post has since been flooded by fans wishing Morrissey a speedy recovery. It is unclear if the shows will be rescheduled. As of January 27, Morrissey nor the previous venues set to host the shows have shared any additional information.
