The Phoenix Suns went to Brooklyn on Wednesday night to take on the Nets just before the 1-year anniversary of the two teams coming together and figuring out a trade for Kevin Durant. Back in February of 2023, Durant got his long-standing wish for the Nets to trade him, and the Suns parted ways with a whole lot in order to bring him to Phoenix and pair him up with Devin Booker.

Wednesday’s game was Durant’s first trip back to Brooklyn since then, and the Suns were able to take care of business en route to a 136-120 win. Late in the game, Booker was able to have some fun at the expense of one of the players Phoenix gave up to acquire Durant, as he hit a three while Mikal Bridges was right in his face. Booker then threw up his hand, did Bridges’ celebration that he’ll do after he makes a shot from behind the arc, and went right up to the Nets standout.

Booker and Bridges were, of course, teammates for quite some time in Phoenix, so we assume that there’s nothing but love between these two. Still, it sure seemed like Book enjoyed this one a whole lot more than Bridges did.

In recent years, Kanye West-related headlines have very rarely been related to music. However, in recent weeks, the chatter has primarily centered around Vultures, the forthcoming joint album between him and Ty Dolla Sign, a work that has been delayed numerous times. On January 23, West shared that Vultures will be a three-part project, with the first part due out on February 9.

But before releasing new music, West dipped into his existing discography as a surprise performer during the second-to-last stop on Travis Scott’s Utopia — Circus Maximus Tour in Orlando, Florida on Wednesday, January 31. Wearing a Jason mask, he performed “All Of The Lights” and “Runaway” from his 2010 beloved No. 1 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy — as well as several other tracks, including the unreleased “Vultures.” Several videos circulated on X (formerly Twitter). One such video captured Ye confirming the aforementioned February 9 release date for Vultures.

Earlier Wednesday, Ye’s daughter, North West, was reportedly spotted wearing a graphic tee displaying an updated Vultures Vol. 1 tracklist, as seen below.

An epic drug game battle in Queens is taking shape through the final two episodes of Power Book III: Raising Kanan season three. In the show’s episode last week, Raq discovers that Kanan and Ronnie are selling heroin through support from Snaps and Pop. She attempts to tell Snaps and Pop to back off from Kanan, but that try goes unsuccessful. This proves to be problematic as her distributor previously demanded that Raq eliminate her competition — coincidentally, Ronnie and Kanan — from their turf. Elsewhere in the episode, Jukebox’s troubles with Butta took a turn for the worse when Krystal recruits her friends to jump Jukebox, Lou-Lou goes on the run to an unknown location, and Marvin grows more and more suspicious of Gerald’s actions toward him. That’s all we got for episode eight and here’s when you expect to watch episode nine.

When Will Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 3, Episode 9 Come Out?

The ninth episode of Power Book III: Raising Kanan season three, titled “Home To Roast,” will arrive on February 2. The Monty DeGraff-directed and Kevin Fox-written episode will be available on Friday, 2/2 on the STARZ app starting at midnight EST/PST. Is Donald Trump a liar or is his brain just melting? Maybe a mix of both? The former president has been losing one of his many cases after another, though even after he’s maintained his innocence — or just made it worse. He’ll tell his fans anything and he knows they’ll believe him. Perhaps that’s why he’s now spinning some court losses as wins, at least far as he sees it.

Per Mediaite, on Wednesday Trump spoke with reporters about, among other things, the bipartisan border deal he doesn’t want enacted so he can use that as one of his campaign go-tos. At one point a reporter asked him if he planned to “use campaign funds or PAC money to try to pay some of the penalties in the New York defamation and fraud cases.”

Either he was playing dumb or he legitimately didn’t remember how they happened. He even asked, “What penalties?” He then had a curious take on the two defamation cases he lost and the fraud trial in which he was found liable.

“I didn’t do anything wrong. I mean, that’s been proven as far as I’m concerned,” Trump brazenly claimed. He then claimed he’d won an appeal that is still awaiting a verdict.

Trump also repeated a favorite baseless conspiracy theory of his, that some of the criminal cases against him have been “coordinated with the White House by the attorney general.”

When asked about his latest E. Jean Carroll trial, which ended with him ordered to fork over $83.3 million, he simply wrote it off as a “ridiculous case.”

Is Trump simply maintaining his innocence or is his brain simply not working? Whatever the case, he’s the Republican frontrunner in 2024, and a new, prominent poll shows him losing to Biden, in part because people are starting to get really worried the magnets guy will end democracy in America.

The Minnesota Timberwolves were able to cruise to a win over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night. Minnesota played host to their Western Conference foes, and behind a dominant performance in the second half, were able to pick up a 121-87 win to stay in the 1-seed.

Things got so one-sided in the fourth quarter that both coaches were able to empty their benches and let their reserves get a little bit of run. Fortunately for Minnesota, this gave Jordan McLaughlin the opportunity to pull off maybe the most ridiculous assist we’ve seen out of an NBA player this season. An attempted three by Troy Brown Jr. missed everything, and McLaughlin was able to track it down, save it, and throw a bounce pass that led to a Shake Milton bucket. It was a very impressive play by him, and then, you see it from an alternate angle, which shows that McLaughlin — while in midair and falling out of bounds — threw the bounce pass right between the legs of Richaun Holmes.

Milton deserves credit for corralling this and getting a bucket so this can go down in the record books as an assist, but my goodness, McLaughlin’s going to deservedly end up on a bunch of highlight reels for this one.

For whatever reason, people alleging devil worship has become a hot trend in music. Lil Nas X went through it, spurning on the trolls with “Montero (Call Me By Your Name).” Doja Cat is currently at the center of it, and she continues to fight against claims she’s in The Illuminati as a satanist in regular interviews as well as a spoof interview with her alter ego.

Now, it’s Trippie Redd’s turn. On Wednesday, January 31, the rapper went on Instagram Live and shut down relentless speculation that he, too, worships the devil.

“Bro, I don’t worship the f*cking devil,” he said, as captured by No Jumper and XXL. “I don’t know why you [expletive] keep saying that sh*t. Stop saying I worship the devil, bro. Like, what the f*ck? I can’t wear all black? I been wearing all black! That’s my theme. I just don’t get it. Like, stop saying I worship the f*cking devil.”

Trippie also asked God to “cleanse these people’s hearts” because “sitting here judging somebody and bullying them is the new standard to, ‘Oh, let’s bully him into God’.” He clarified, “I already f*ck with God.” The rapper casually walked through his mansion to show viewers he is “blessed and highly favored” and “not a hater,” so, contrary to popular belief, “I could really be a savior.”

In case viewers still weren’t convinced, Trippie Redd explained himself further. “Since [I was] a kid, I’ve always liked horror movies, and I like video games,” he said. “I’m just a weirdo, bro. I like to get tats on my face! I like to wear all black! I like to look goth! Feel me? Sh*t’s a lifestyle. Maybe I’m depressed. Maybe I like to be the gloomy one in the room. I’m from Ohio. It’s always gloomy there. Y’all don’t get it. I’m a real sadboi. I’m a real loner. Maybe I hide it with my personality and sh*t, but so what? I’m human.”

This isn’t the first time Trippie Redd has pushed back against satanist speculation. In March 2018, as relayed by Complex, he explained the real reason behind his frequent references to “666.”

“A lot of y’all are blind to reality,” he said in an Instagram Story at the time. “Six protons, six neutrons, six electrons. Melanin in Black people’s skin. Do your research. Now, why I say TR666? Because Trippie Redd is Black, but Trippie Redd is also dark. I make dark music, but I’m Black, so I use it as a metaphor. Make sure you do your research, man, because these people could be telling you, like, 666 is the mark of the beast.”

For the first time in his NBA career, Damian Lillard played a game in Portland as a member of the visiting team. Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks took on the Blazers in the Moda Center on Wednesday night, which marked Lillard’s return to the city after the offseason trade that sent him to the Eastern Conference.

Prior to the start of the game, Blazers fans were given the opportunity to express their appreciation for arguably the greatest player in franchise history. Lillard got introduced as a member of Milwaukee’s starting lineup, which led to a gigantic ovation from the Blazers fans in attendance.

And during a first quarter stoppage in play, the team aired a tribute video looking back on some of Lillard’s finest moment as a Blazer.

Lillard spent the first 11 years of his career in Portland, as the team selected him sixth overall in the 2011 NBA Draft. At the start of free agency this past summer, Lillard officially requested a trade, and while his preferred landing spot was the Miami Heat, Portland’s front office slow played things before agreeing to a deal with the Bucks in September. It was a three-team deal that involved the Phoenix Suns, and led to Milwaukee parting ways a package that included Jrue Holiday and its unprotected 2029 first-round pick.

Ahead of Wednesday night’s game, Lillard was averaging 25.1 points, 6.8 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.1 steals in 35.2 minutes per game for the 2-seed in the Eastern Conference.

Justin Bieber has embraced the Proud Husband role since being forced to postpone his Justice World Tour due to health concerns in late 2022, before eventually officially canceling it in early 2023. Bieber’s most recent full-length album was Justice in March 2021. So he’s due — we’re all due for new Bieber — and it appears he’s gearing up to put his pop star cape back on.

Is Justin Bieber Releasing An Album In 2024?

Bieber has not announced that new music is imminent, but this week he sure is hinting at it. He’s been relatively quiet on Instagram while off cycle, but he (for lack of a better term) spammed his starving fans this week with several Instagram carousels filled with photos from the studio and a rehearsal space.

It’s also worth noting that Bieber will be prominently featured during NHL All-Star Weekend in Toronto, Ontario, Canada this weekend. The NHL already unveiled All-Star jerseys co-designed by Bieber’s Drew House and Adidas, and Bieber has been announced as the celebrity captain of Team Matthews (named after Auston Matthews, Bieber’s longtime friend who happens to be the best player on Bieber’s lifelong favorite team, the Toronto Maple Leafs).

All of which is to say, NHL All-Star feels like a natural launching pad for Bieber’s next era.

Hard to believe it’s been just over three years since the Trump team’s madcap attempts to overturn an election. Even stranger is it might happen again. But November’s a long ways away, and besides, people are still uncovering bananas antics perpetrated by the former president and his bumbling cronies. For instance, we’re only now learning that cuckoo Trump attorney Sidney Powell hatched a scheme to pilfer voting machines that was so out-there even Rudy Giuliani shot it down.

Per Mediaite, in their new, long-titled book Find Me the Votes: A Hard-Charging Georgia Prosecutor, a Rogue President, and the Plot to Steal an American Election, reporters Michael Isikoff and Daniel Klaidman wanted ex-intel operatives to break into election offices and steal machines so they could prove alleged malfeasance. She even wanted to get preemptive pardons, just in case they got caught breaking the law. Oh, and they had to have hunting licenses.

Here’s some of her plan, per Iskioff and Klaidman’s book:

The idea was to tap ex-intel operatives who would break into election offices in swing states and seize Dominion voting machines and servers so they could prove the equipment had been hacked by foreign powers. The operatives would need hunting licenses in order to fulfill their mission. “Hunting licenses? What in the world were they talking about?”

Powell chimed in. “Pardon.” She said. “From President Trump, I need six to eight pardons. But these weren’t ordinary pardons for past misconduct. They would be preemptive pardons,” she explained, an advance permission slip from the president to protect the operatives from criminal prosecution in the future, should any pesky prosecutors go after them for breaching an election office and stealing data.

Powell was so gung-ho for this plan, which shares some DNA with the Watergate break-in, that she went right to the top…or to another of the top dog’s lawyers.

“They actually went to, Trump campaign headquarters and to Rudy Giuliani, to to get him to ask the president,” Klaidman said, during an appearance on MSNBC. “He said, well, this is, this may go a little too far. This is impractical.”

When you’ve lost the mystery goo guy, it might be time to put down the Dr. Pepper and look in the mirror. Likewise it might be time for Republican voters to seriously ask themselves if they want this nonsense back in the White House.
