Drake Was Super Impressed By His ‘Air Drake’ Pilots’ Smooth Landing In Low-Visibility Flying Conditions

Drake is soaring to the top — literally. While private jets and planes have been the subject of controversy for some of his peers, the “First Person Shooter” hitmaker shared a video from his “Air Drake” aircraft.

While Drake has conquered charts and streaming records, the prolific rapper is also conquering low visibility. Flying in low visibility conditions may sound a bit daunting, but Drake says it provides a thrill for him. In a recent Instagram post, he shared himself (with the help of a professional air crew) making a smooth landing, despite low visibility.

“There’s a couple landings I love on Air Drake but tbh the low visibility is the most exciting,” he said in the post’s caption, “it makes your heart drop a bit…lucky I got the best putting this sh*t wheels down.”

Drake is currently with J. Cole and Lil Durk on the It’s All A Blur — Big As The What? Tour. Earlier this week, Lil Wayne — who discovered Drake and signed him to Young Money — announced he would be joining the It’s All A Blur — Big As The What? Tour for two nights (March 23 & 24) at the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida.

In the meantime, you can see the “Air Drake” clip above.

Bambi Is The Next Beloved Childhood Icon To Get His Own Horror Movie With ‘Bampire’

Bambi
Disney

When you think about it, the original Bambi novella is actually a very scary story about a tiny deer who witnesses his mother get murdered, so it’s not really far-fetched to turn this into a horror movie. Everyone else is doing it! Since Bambi, A Life In The Woods has made it to the coveted public domain, that story is finally being told with an even more horrific twist: vampires.

Bampire is the upcoming campy horror-comedy that is currently underway by director Taylor Morden, known for his upcoming Lost documentary. The movie follows a group of college students who plan a weekend in the woods to find a rare deer, though they quickly learn that this is not a Disney movie, especially since Greg Sestero shows up at some point. Here is the official synopsis:

Five community college students and their professor set out to document unprecedented evidence of a rare fanged deer species never-before-seen in the foothills of the Cascades… the musk deer – Or is it something more sinister? In the name of science, they depart on a weekend-long field trip and quickly discover that they are not alone: someone (or someTHING) is in the woods with them. Our would-be adventurers come face-to-fang with evolution’s newest predator, the ultimate shape-shifter, and find they are nowhere near the top of this particular food chain…

The movie will integrate hand-drawn animation with live-action shots, which has been described as Evil Dead 2 meets Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Bampire should not be confused with Bambi: The Reckoning which will come from the fine folks who brought you Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey. There are no vampire deers in that one (presumably).

The crew behind Bampire is currently crowd-funding and aiming for a Halloween 2024 release. Feel free to throw some money at it here for your chance to receive a BAMPIRE hat! You will be the talk of the forest.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Told A British Journalist To ‘F*** Off’ After Being Asked About ‘Jewish Space Lasers’

Is Marjorie Taylor Greene still sensitive about people bringing up her infamous “Jewish space lasers” conspiracy theory? You betcha.

As Donald Trump swept the Super Tuesday primary results, Greene was at Mar-a-Lago for a watch party where she fielded a few questions from British journalist Emily Matlis. While the conversation mostly stayed focus on Greene’s disdain for Nikki Haley and hope that she’ll start backing Trump, Matlis began asking the Georgia congresswoman about her potential future in a second Trump administration. Greene’s name has long been floated as a potential running mate or cabinet member.

However, the conversation quickly turned when Matlis asked why Trump supporters love conspiracy theories so much. The situation got particularly testy after Matlis zeroed in on Greene’s Facebook post that accused the Rothschild family of using laser beams to start the 2018 California wildfires. (The Rothschild are routinely the center of antisemitic conspiracy theories.)

Via Mediaite:

Greene replied: “Well, let me tell you, you’re a conspiracy theorist, and the left and the media spread more conspiracy theories. We like the truth. We like supporting our constitution, our freedoms, and America first.”

“What about Jewish space lasers?” the journalist asked. “Tell us about Jewish space lasers.”

“No,” the Georgia Republican bluntly replied. “Why don’t you go talk about Jewish space lasers? Why don’t you f**k off? How about that? Thanks.”

Greene getting dragged for promoting the Jewish space lasers is such a touchy subject that it reportedly deepened the rift between her and her former BFF Lauren Boebert.

Back in December 2022, Boebert made a joke about the conspiracy theory during an interview with Charlie Kirk, and the bathroom fights and congressional floor showdowns have been full steam ahead ever since.

Cardi B Invited Fans To Go Shopping For A Coach Bag With Her After It Looked Like She Dissed The Brand

As is the case with nearly all of Cardi B‘s releases, her latest cut, “Like What (Freestyle)” has everyone talking. While many are lauding Cardi for her scorching bars, a particular line has been interpreted as potential shade toward a fashion brand.

From the very beginning of the song, the Bronx rapper reminds us that she’s not the one to play with

“Classy and a c*nt / Blocks and money gettin’ spunt / Like, like what? / Like a Coach bag, baby, this ain’t what you want,” she raps on the controversial.

Many listeners took this line as a dig on the Coach brand, but Cardi took to Instagram Live to set the record straight. She explained that the line was inspired by Cam’ron’s 2011 track, “Hey Muma” and that she was simply speaking to the culture of New York fashion.

“I’m not trying to be on some rich sh*t and everything,” Cardi said in her live. “This is just real New York sh*t. I ain’t trying to offend none of y’all.”

Coach also showed her some love back with a shout-out on Twitter.

Shortly after, Cardi took to TikTok, where she shared a video of herself shopping at the Coach store and buying a bag.

A New ‘John Wick’ Series Is Coming To Erase The Bizarre Memory Of ‘The Continental’

Despite the lackluster performance of The Continental, a show that almost everyone forgot about already, Lionsgate is moving forward with a new John Wick series. During a recent Q&A, Lionsgate Vice Chairman Michael Burns confirmed that the studio will be shopping a new series set in the Wick world to streamers. (A new Twilight series will also be on the menu, according to Deadline.)

As for the nature of the new Wick series, that’s being kept tightly under wraps. However, back in November, John Wick mastermind Chad Stahelski revealed that the franchise has no shortage of stories to explore, and that he’s set to direct a new series. Presumably, that’s the project that Lionsgate is now shopping.

“All the ideas that our group of writers are working on now, I swear to you, I like them all,” Stahelski told Collider. “If you told me tomorrow I had to do any one of them, I’d be like, ‘Cool, man. That’s a great way to spend a year.’ They’re all cool ideas, and I have ideas on how I’d execute all of them. That’s what’s so fun about keeping it going. And we’re doing a John Wick TV show, which, again, keeps my head going.”

Of course, launching a new John Wick TV series is a risky move given the lackluster response to The Continental. However, Ian McShane recently opined what went wrong there: No one involved him or Keanu Reeves.

“Why would I have seen it?” McShane told The One Show. “They never asked anybody about it. They just went and did it. Both Keanu and I went: ‘I don’t know, nobody ever asked us about it!’”

Is ‘The Idea Of You’ Based On Harry Styles?

The trailer for The Idea Of You was unveiled today (March 6), and one thing that viewers might notice is the male lead, who’s a young pop star and a member of a beloved boy band. Sound familiar?

Is The Idea Of You Based On Harry Styles?

The movie is based on Robinne Lee’s novel of the same name, and the character (named Hayes) has drawn a ton of Styles comparisons previously. Lee has addressed them herself: In a GoodReads Q&A, Lee explained, “Hayes is very different from Harry Styles. I think people who are aware of Harry and/or want to picture Harry will. And that’s completely fair, as the most successful British boy band of the last ten years is One Direction. And if you’re going to create a twenty-something popstar, you may want to start with a good head of hair and dimples, because why not? But so much of who I wanted Hayes to be — his persona, his lineage, his upbringing, his education, his experiences, his cadence, his speech, his sense of self — is very specific, and not at all like Harry.”

She also said in a 2020 Vogue interview, “This was never supposed to be a book about Harry Styles. It was supposed to be a story about a woman approaching 40 and reclaiming her sexuality and rediscovering herself, just at the point that society traditionally writes women off as desirable and viable and whole.”

Not to mention, in a 2017 interview, Lee said, “A few years ago, my husband was away on business and I was up late surfing music videos on YouTube when I came across the face of a boy I’d never seen in a band I’d never paid attention to, and it was so aesthetically perfect it took me by surprise. It was like… art. I spent a good hour or so Googling and trying to figure out who this kid was and in doing so I discovered that he often dated older women, and so the seed was planted.”

Anne Hathaway Falls In Love With A Boy Band Member (Who Definitely Isn’t Harry Styles) In ‘The Idea Of You’ Trailer

In The Idea of You, Anne Hathaway plays a divorced mother who takes her daughter to Coachella where she has a chance encounter with Hayes Campbell, a singer in the boy band August Moon, and they fall in love.

If that sounds like fan fiction, well, that’s because it is. Probably.

The Idea of You is based on author Robinne Lee’s novel of the same name, which was allegedly inspired by Harry Styles during his One Direction days. “I came across the face of a boy I’d never seen in a band I’d never paid attention to, and it was so aesthetically perfect it took me by surprise,” Lee explained in a 2017 interview. “It was like… art. I spent a good hour or so Googling and trying to figure out who this kid was, and in doing so, I discovered that he often dated older women, and so the seed was planted.” She doesn’t specifically name Harry Styles, but he famously has a weakness for older women (nine years is technically “older”).

Lee later said The Idea of You was “never supposed to be a book about Harry Styles,” but come on. Nicholas Galitzine, the actor who plays Hayes Campbell, is very Harry-coded in the film’s trailer, which you can watch above.

The Idea of You centers on Solène (Hathaway), a 40-year-old single mom who is serendipitously blindsided by a second chance at love. Solène’s husband Dan ended their marriage, and now he has canceled his Coachella trip with their 16-year-old daughter. Solène picks up the pieces and braves the crowds and desert heat. There, she meets and begins an unexpected romance with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell (Galitzine), the lead singer of the hottest boy band on the planet, August Moon. She finds herself dodging the 24-hour news cycle, all while balancing her new globe-trotting romance, career, and parenting a teenage daughter.

The Idea of You, which is directed by Wet Hot American Summer legend Michael Showalter (!), premieres on Amazon Prime Video on May 2.

Kamasi Washington Announces ‘Fearless Movement,’ His First Album In Years, As Well As 2024 Tour Dates

It’s been a minute since we’ve gotten new Kamasi Washington, as his most recent album is 2018’s Heaven And Earth. His comeback is nigh, though: Today (March 6), he announced the upcoming release of Fearless Movement, a new album. He also shared a video for “Prologue.”

Washington recruited a strong roster of collaborators for the project, including André 3000 (on flute), George Clinton, BJ The Chicago Kid, Thundercat, Terrace Martin, and more.

Per a press release, Washington calls the project his “dance album,” saying, “It’s not literal. Dance is movement and expression, and in a way it’s the same thing as music — expressing your spirit through your body. That’s what this album is pushing.”

The press release also notes, “Where previous albums dealt with cosmic ideas and existential concepts, Fearless Movement focuses in on the everyday, an exploration of life on earth. This change in scope is due in large part to the birth of Washington’s first child a few years ago.”

Washington adds, “Being a father means the horizon of your life all of a sudden shows up. My mortality became more apparent to me, but also my immortality — realizing that my daughter is going to live on and see things that I’m never going to see. I had to become comfortable with this, and that affected the music that I was making.”

Watch the “Prologue” video above and find the Fearless Movement art and tracklist below. Washington also announced new tour dates, so find those below as well.
