When Will ‘Invincible’ Season 2, Episode 7 Come Out?

Invincible
Amazon Prime Video

Yes, Robert Kirkman’s Invincible only recently returned for the back half of the second season. Already, it’s almost time for Episode 7, which means that the season finale is coming soon, too. Even in the age of the Viltrum Empire and its foes, time (as you know) flies/soars, but weekly rollouts from Amazon are clearly working because viewers look forward to every installment of this Steven Yeun-starring series.

What Time Will ‘Invincible’ Season 2, Episode 7 Be On Prime Video?

Thursday, March 26 is the date when we will visit the rest of the mayhem of this sophomore round of episodes. Perhaps we’ll see more of the Atom Eve issue develop, but we will surely see more of Mark attempting to juggle being a college student with attempting to save humanity from an intergalactic dictatorship. Two rough missions from the Guardians of the Globe will also challenge that end of the story, and can we get Debbie a vacation in Aruba? Cut that lady a break, man.

From there, Episode 8 will be the season finale, but don’t fear. Soon enough (June 13), The Boys will return for Season 4, in which Homelander will go on trial, and Billy Butcher will follow up on making his fellow vigilantes bugger off and that lab discovery he made over on the Gen V spinoff.

It will be High Supe drama for sure.

Will Smith And Martin Lawrence Are So Back In The ‘Bad Boys: Ride Or Die’ Trailer

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are officially back in Bad Boys: Ride or Die. The latest film in the Miami cop series briefly appeared to be in jeopardy after the infamous Oscars slap, but Lawrence assured fans that Bad Boys 4 was still coming. He was right.

Sony dropped the first trailer this week, which also revealed the title change to Bad Boys: Ride or Die. The film once again features Smith and Lawrence in an all-out action spectacular as they work to clear the name of their long-time captain played by Joe Pantoliano. Here’s the official logline:

This Summer, the world’s favorite Bad Boys are back with their iconic mix of edge-of-your seat action and outrageous comedy but this time with a twist: Miami’s finest are now on the run.

Rounding out the cast are Alexander Ludwig, Vanessa Hudgens, Eric Dane, Paola Núñez, Tasha Smith, Ioan Gruffudd, and Rhea Seehorn coming in hot after her critically acclaimed performance in Better Call Saul that was robbed at the Emmys. Maybe the Bad Boys can solve that crime next.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die hits theaters on June 7.

Drake’s Dad Reportedly Clapped Back At Kendrick Lamar, Future, And Metro Boomin’s Diss Song ‘Like That’

To borrow a line from Jay-Z, it’s no fun when the family feud. But it is quite interesting to watch when celebrities kinfolk get involved in public disputes.

According to Drake, Metro Boomin and Future’s diss song “Like That” featuring Kendrick Lamar (apparently a longtime foe) didn’t ruffle his feathers. However, the “Rich Baby Daddy” rapper’s father, Dennis Graham, seems far more bothered by the remarks made on wax. To air out his frustration, the Papa Bear reportedly clapped back at the trio and Drake’s former industry friend, who has unfollowed his son online since the track’s release.

On March 25, in a now-deleted post on Instagram, Graham supposedly delivered the heat Drake’s response lacked. “Yo, I am about to drop some new music,” he sarcastically wrote. “And I am not sure if it’s going to sell, but I am going to call some of my homies and get them to start a beef with Drake and get them to unfollow him, and that’s going make my shit shoot up to number 1. I’m sure this is going to work, so let me get some people on board for this and watch what kind of attention this gets!!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL BE NUMBER ONE 1Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Folks online are divided on Graham’s involvement. Some consider it corny. Others declare that all is fair in love and rap beef. But hey: If Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, can thumb thug it out with trolls when it comes to her superstar daughter, Graham should be granted the same parental grace.

Cam’Ron And Mase Called Diddy’s Recent Home Raids ‘Reparations’ And Commented On Their ‘Eerie’ Timing

Yesterday was an eventful day for rap record mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. The music impresario saw his homes raided and family members detained as part of an investigation into alleged sex trafficking that arose as a result of a slew of sexual assault lawsuits against him.

It was also, coincidentally, the anniversary of two albums heavily connected to Combs’ musical legacy: The Notorious B.I.G.’s Life After Death and The Diplomats’ Diplomatic Immunity. Cam’Ron and Mase commented on the “eerie” timing of the raids on the latest episode of their sports podcast It Is What It Is, calling Diddy’s misfortunes “reparations” as they gloated over their former business partner’s legal troubles.

“Reparations is getting closer and closer,” Mase chuckled during the show’s intro. “I ain’t got nothing to do with that money, that’s all yours,” Cam responded. He also noted, “The last year has really been the been payback for you.”

The crux of their comments was Mase’s ongoing financial disputes with Combs, which started in the early 2000s and continued until last year, when Combs finally sold Mase the publishing rights to his music recorded under Bad Boy, along with a slew of other Bad Boy artists. Mase, of course, heavily contributed to Life After Death and became the Bad Boy golden child in the wake of B.I.G.’s 1997 murder, but felt that he was never paid fairly by Diddy, resulting in stints as a pastor and rapper on other labels.

In the prior week’s episode of It Is What It Is, Mase said he had to “escape” Bad Boy, recalling, “Even though I made those decisions and it cost me money, that’s why [when] I got with [Cam’Ron], [God] gave me the money back. I didn’t [really] lose no money. Destiny.”

The NFL Will Change To The XFL Kickoff Model In 2024

The NFL’s annual owner meetings have produced a handful of significant rule changes after a vote by ownership on a number of proposals from teams and the competition committee.

Among them include approval of the proposal to eliminate the hip drop tackle, which garnered attention after injuries to some players and has sparked plenty of controversy as, unlike the horse collar, it figures to be much more difficult to legislate out. It is used frequently by defenders as a legitimate tackling technique that avoids the previous points of emphasis on not hitting players in the head or dragging them down from up high, and the NFLPA even put out a statement requesting it not be removed.

Beyond that, there are now more reviewable plays — a passer’s knee being down before throwing a pass and the game clock being at 0:00 before a snap (not the play clock, crucially) — and a massive kickoff change that is attracting most of the attention.

The NFL will enact the XFL model that places the kicker back at the 35, a returner (or two) between the goal line and the 20, and the other 19 or 20 players on the field lined up within 5-10 yards of each other. The kicking team’s players will all line up on the opposing 40, while the receiving team can have players between the 30-35, limiting high speed collisions. The players can move once the ball hits the ground or when it’s fielded.

In practice, it looks like this.

The idea is to create more returns, something the NFL wants desperately after the new touchback rule led to a steep dropoff, without the risk of the massive collisions we used to see with players flying downfield at each other. The touchback rule also changes, as there are no fair catches but a touchback that hits the endzone gets brought out to the 30, not the 25, encouraging kickers to thread the needle and put the ball in a returnable spot.

I personally enjoyed the XFL kickoff in the brief time period in which the XFL existed before the merger to become the UFL. It will take some time for NFL players to adjust, and you can bet teams are going to have to spend a lot of time working on their new coverage and blocking technique in camp this year. That said, it does keep the return a part of the game, albeit in a different format, and once fans get past the immediate “change is bad” reaction that always happens, I think it’ll be mostly a positive.

There are tradeoffs though, and this will kill the surprise onside kick. That’s not a frequent thing in the NFL, but it is a bit of a shame to lose that element of surprise, as you now must declare you are going for an onside kick beforehand to let the other team get their personnel out there. Still, onside kicks were already dying out and the league opted to keep the return game alive over onside kicks.

Cardi B Plans To ‘Sue The LAPD’ After They Allegedly Made Her Get ‘Butt-Naked’ And Accused Her Of Selling Drugs

Cardi B had a truly wild story to share in her recent Instagram Live that took place yesterday (March 25). During the live, she claimed that she was once approached by the Los Angeles Police Department after they thought she was selling drugs — and sadly weren’t familiar with who Cardi was.

The story went a step further when Cardi dropped in the detail that the cops allegedly made her strip down because of it.

“They had all the helicopters in LA,” she shared. “Yo, I was freaking out. They had me outside for like three hours. They had me getting butt-naked outside. Sh*t was crazy. It was deadass a movie and whatever, but you already know.”

However, she is about to show them exactly who she is. “I’m about to sue the LAPD,” Cardi added. “I told them like, ‘Yo, I’m Cardi B. Like do I look like I gotta sell some sh*t? Like why would I do that? I would never pull no sh*t like that.’”

During the encounter, Cardi continued to try the cops who she was — a Grammy-winning performer. But it wasn’t working and the situation got out of hand.

“They didn’t believe me. It was some white cops and they ain’t know who I was,” she continued. “They was really tough on me and everything. They said somebody gave them a clue. I really feel like it was one of my opps and sh*t, like they really trying to ruin my life type sh*t. Like y’all don’t even f*cking know. I been going through a lot lately.”

If anyone could carry through a lawsuit against the LAPD, it would be Cardi B — only time will tell though. Check out a clip from her Instagram Live here.

All The Best New Music From This Week That You Need To Hear

bnm

Keeping up with new music can be exhausting, even impossible. From the weekly album releases to standalone singles dropping on a daily basis, the amount of music is so vast it’s easy for something to slip through the cracks. Even following along with the Uproxx recommendations on a daily basis can be a lot to ask, so every Monday we’re offering up this rundown of the best new music this week.

This week saw Kendrick Lamar make waves with a verse and Tyla land with her anticipated debut LP. Yeah, it was a great week for new music. Check out the highlights below.

For more music recommendations, check out our Listen To This section, as well as our Indie Mixtape and Pop Life newsletters.

Future and Metro Boomin — “Like That” Feat. Kendrick Lamar

Future and Metro just dropped a hot new project, but it’s the Kendrick Lamar feature that’s making headlines: In his verse on “Like That,” the rapper pretty clearly goes after two of his most esteemed contemporaries, Drake and J. Cole.

Tyla and Becky G — “On My Body”

After breaking through with hits like “Water” and “Truth Or Dare,” Tyla has arrived with her first full-length album. It’s a strong effort, too, strong enough to attract Becky G to collaborate on the smooth and rhythmic “On My Body.”

Waxahatchee — “Tigers Blood”

Katie Crutchfield recently told Uproxx of her new album Tigers Blood, “My first four records are riddled with clues that I was someone who was really struggling with substance issues. When I made Saint Cloud, I was a year sober, and that’s palpable in that record, even if it’s not on-the-nose talking about sobriety. With Tigers Blood, I’ve settled into that part of my life more now, and that’s probably the big through-line between the two records, how being a sober adult is affecting me five years in as opposed to one year in. ”

Olivia Rodrigo — “So American”

Rodrigo bared her soul (and the inside of her torso) on her latest album, Guts, and she continued the party last week with an expanded version of the album. Most of the bonus tracks appeared on various other editions of the project, but “So American” is brand new and sees Rodrigo giddily enjoying a fruitful relationship.

Adrianne Lenker — “Free Treasure”

Big Thief fans have been fed lately, both via the band’s output and via solo projects from members like Buck Meek and Adrianne Lenker. Lenker in particular has an esteemed solo career, and before her new album Bright Future dropped, she unveiled the lovely final pre-album single, “Free Treasure.”

Shakira and Cardi B — “Puntería”

Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran is Shakira’s first album in seven years, and she didn’t pull any punches for her big return. She recruited Cardi B to join her on “Puntería,” a dance-ready number that sees Cardi get in on the rhythm with her confident flow.

Matt Champion — “Dogfish”

Brockhampton is over, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see its members again. The group’s Matt Champion is up next to launch his solo career, as he announced his debut album, Mika’s Laundry, earlier this month. The project is out now, and among the highlights is “Dogfish,” a brief alt-rock-influenced number that creates a striking mood with its sparseness.

Big Sean — “Precision”

This was kind of a bummer week for Big Sean to launch his comeback, in that it was pretty stacked in terms of hot releases across the music landscape. Alas, Sean’s new era is here and it’s shaping up to be a good one, as the self-assured “Precision” shows.

Xavi — “Corazón De Piedra”

Xavi is a leading force in amapiano and música Mexicana as the genres start to establish a more global stronghold. He showed why last week with “Corazón De Piedra,” which boasts a sound both fresh and nostalgic as he sings about recovering from a romantic setback.

Remi Wolf — “Cinderella”

Remi Wolf is ready to follow her 2021 debut album Juno with her sophomore effort, as she announced Big Ideas last week. The project is heralded by “Cinderella,” which Wolf explains is “a lyrical collage of the ups and downs and mood swings and transient lifestyle I was experiencing while writing this album.”

Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Jon Stewart Roasted The Most Combative Member Of ‘Shark Tank’ (‘Mr. Wonderful’) With A Spot-On Horror Movie Reference

Jon Stewart’s eventful return to The Daily Show has already led down a number of paths, all of them racking up viewership for the long-lived Comedy Central/Paramount show. Those turns have been both fiery and bitterwsweet, but overall, seeing Stewart back in his old stomping grounds appears to roll out as naturally for him as it feels for the audience.

Well, there’s also the fact that the U.S. is in more chaos than it was back when he initially departed the program in 2015. And chaos is certainly the vibe when a member of Shark Tank is weighing in on political scandal and landing on cable news while doing so. Kevin O’Leary, who calls himself “Mr. Wonderful” and who famously gets into the most squabbles with his fellow Sharks, decided to weigh in on a fellow “billionaire,” Donald Trump, regarding his NY civil fraud verdict. As you are surely aware, the ex-president is intent upon appealing while labeling an appeal bond as “unconstitutional,” and O’Leary recently appeared on CNN, where he stated that Trump’s behavior has been “done by every real estate developer everywhere on Earth in every city.”

O’Leary’s claim was that Trump shouldn’t be prosecuted if every other real estate developer supposedly gets away with (alleged) insurance fraud and the like, and Stewart (after the 7:30 mark above) wasn’t really too shocked, referencing O’Leary as a “guy who’s such an a-hole… wait.. that even the other people on Shark Tank think he’s an a-hole.”

Stewart then ran a clip of O’Leary scolding a Shark Tank contestant over the overvaluation of their product, and that wasn’t all. The host continued to chide Rude Shark over his inference that white collar crime in the name of real estate shouldn’t be prosecuted: “There is a theory and law that if enough people commit a crime, it automatically becomes legal. You’re familiar with The Purge, are you not?”

Nicki Minaj performed in Orlando on March 22, on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. At one point during the show, Minaj revealed more than she intended to via a wardrobe malfunction.

During “The Night Is Still Young,” she invited fans to take her microphone and sing the song. After an underwhelming fan performance, as Minaj reach to grab the mic back, one of her dress straps fell, which exposed her breast. Minaj eventually caught on, as her shocked expression indicated. A different fan had the microphone at the time, but after Minaj got it back, she said, “Meanwhile, my boob is out and no one f*cking told me. Thanks, Barbz. My whole boob was out! See, that’s what I get for talking about people.”

This came after Minaj unexpectedly had to cancel her performance in New Orleans at the last minute, hours before she was set to take the stage. She later explained, “You mean so much to me & I hate that things didn’t go as planned. Within the next few days, I hope to update our schedule with a new date that I can give you 100% of myself & nothing less. You don’t deserve to pay for a tkt to see me up there rapping with the flu. SZA Has Reportedly Had To Start The ‘Lana’ Deluxe Album ‘From Scratch’ Allegedly Due To Leaking

The curious case of tweeters and deleters strikes again. This time, instead of a rapper wrapped up in beef, SZA is at the helm of an online snafu. As fans patiently await the release of her long-teased SOS deluxe follow-up, Lana has hit another snag, allegedly due to continuous leaks.

On March 25, the “Kill Bill” singer reportedly took to X (formerly Twitter) to share an update regarding the forthcoming project. In the now-deleted post, she slammed leakers and revealed that supporters should expect another delay.

“So, we’ll make this really simple,” she wrote. “Y’all leaked three songs from the deluxe. At this point, y’all can keep the throwaways and leaks. I’ll be starting ‘Lana’ from scratch. Do not ask me about it again. Thank you.”

This isn’t the first time SZA has reportedly put leakers on notice. Back in January, she threatened to take legal action.

“Leaking my music is stealing,” she wrote. “This is my job. This is my life and my intellectual property. You are a f*cking thief, and I promise to put maximum energy into holding everyone accountable to the full extent of the law. I am tired.”

Fans were excited that the album would drop soon after SZA teased and released its lead single, “Saturn,” following the 2024 Grammys. Now, Lana‘s future looks quite cloudy.
