‘Welcome To Wrexham’ Season 3: Everything To Know Including The Release Date And More

Welcoem to Wrexham
FX

When Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds purchased a Welsh football club in September 2020, who would have thought that here they would be, almost four years, two seasons, and (almost) one Deadpool installment later? Well, they are, and the third season of Welcome to Wrexham is on the way.

The docuseries follows the two actors as they manage the team after not having any experience with such an endeavor. See? You can do anything as long as you put your mind to it and shell out a couple million dollars!

If you have been following along with the journey, you are surely hyped for the upcoming season. Here is everything you need to know. Grab your football and head out there! Not that kind, though.

Plot

The third season is expected to follow the current 2023-24 English football season, which will last until May. It’s likely they are still filming new footage of the team, who have had two relatively successful seasons under the watchful eyes of Reynolds and McElhenney. The show also brings the two actors into the small Wrecham community, which has welcomed the boys with open arms.

Cast

Reynolds and McElhenney are back for the season, along with various Wrexham AFC players.

Release Date

The third season will premiere on April 18th on FX and Hulu. Seasons one and two are currently streaming on Hulu and Disney+.

Trailer

A trailer for the third season has not yet dropped, but we should be getting footage any day now. Check out the trailer for season two, and you’ll get the idea.

Ariana Grande, Kacey Musgraves, And Justin Timberlake Notch Personal Records On This Week’s ‘Billboard’ 200 Chart

Getty Image

Last week, Ariana Grande debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with Eternal Sunshine, her sixth No. 1 album that logged “the largest week of 2024 for any album.” This week’s Billboard 200 chart (dated March 30) finds Grande at No. 1 again, while Kacey Musgraves and Justin Timberlake made respectable debuts.

According to Billboard, Eternal Sunshine is Grande’s third album to spend two weeks at No. 1 — after 2020’s Positions and 2019’s Thank U, Next — and Grande’s “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)” also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 last week.

Meanwhile, Musgraves’ Deeper Well debuts at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 97,000 equivalent album units, which Billboard relayed as “her biggest week, by units, since the chart began ranking by that measurement in December 2014; further, of the album’s first-week units, traditional album sales comprise 66,000 — Musgraves’ biggest sales week ever.”

And then there’s Timberlake. Everything I Thought It Was, his first LP since 2018, debuted at No. 4 behind Grande, Musgraves, and Morgan Wallen’s One Thing At A Time (No. 3). Everything I Thought It Was earned 67,000 equivalent album units. All of Timberlake’s solo releases have debuted within the Billboard 200 top five, but Everything I Thought It Was is Timberlake’s lowest solo debut at No. 4. Previously, FutureSex/LoveSounds (2006), The 20/20 Experience (2013), The 20/20 Experience (2 Of 2) (2013), and Man Of The Woods (2018) debuted at No. 1, while his 2002 solo debut Justified came in at No. 2.

‘Abigail’: Everything To Know About The Ballerina-Vampire Movie Including The Release Date, Trailer, And More

Abigail Vampire
Universal Pictures

Last year’s M3GAN proved that not only are murder dolls never going out of style in theaters, but horror-loving audiences cannot get enough of monster children one-upping adults who make terrible decisions. The upcoming Abigail fits the latter bill and also happens to be the former Untitled Monster Movie from Universal Pictures that features a final performance by late Euphoria breakout Angus Cloud.

Let’s talk about what we know about this upcoming summer horror movie.

Plot

The premise of this film might make you think of Home Alone, given that inept criminals chose to pick on the wrong target before finding egg all over their faces. However, Kevin McCallister never (that we know of) turned into a vampire or even a truly deadly threat. In contrast, Abigail revolves around some dumbass kidnappers targeting the daughter of an underworld kingpin. They gamely haul off the ballet-loving hostage, who of course turns out to be bloodsucking monster. At that point, the criminals are for some reason locked inside an isolated structure with this monster, with whom they supposedly must endure 24 hours, so let the bloodletting begin.

This movie is reportedly at least partially based upon on Dracula’s Daughter (1936) and sure looks like it ups the ante on M3GAN in terms of complicated dance movies from homicidal, doll-like villains.

However, has Abigail been in on the plan to trap the idiot criminals from the start? The below trailer suggests as much, and she does, after all, crack a joke about loving to play with her food. From the synopsis:

In the movie, a group of would-be criminals are set to collect a $50 million ransom if they can watch the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure overnight at an isolated mansion. The catch? Yep, turns out the kid is a bloodsucker.

Abigail re-teams ousted Scream franchise actress Melissa Barrera with Scream directing duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett of Radio Silence. Fortunately for that trio, Scream 7 is being directed by Christopher Landon, so any potential awkwardness of an Abigail press tour won’t be quite as pronounced. For his part, Gillet previously revealed that he and his directing partner were “so damn excited to get to work with Melissa again.” He added that this film definitely “a crime movie that gets hijacked by a monster movie. It’s going to be a bloodbath.” Meanwhile, cast member Kathryn Newton has called the movie “like M3GAN on steroids.”

Cast

The Universal Pictures film stars not only Melissa Barrera, Angus Cloud, and Kathryn Newton but also Dan Stevens, William Catlett, Kevin Durand, and the often-menacing Giancarlo Esposito.

Release Date

Abigail vamps out in theaters on April 19.

Trailer

The trailer promises a bloody good time for the audience, not so much for any of the characters.

Drea De Matteo Revealed The ‘Crazy’ Request She Gets From ‘Sopranos’ Fans On Her OnlyFans

adriana sopranos
hbo

Drea de Matteo is making a lot of money on OnlyFans. How much? More than she ever made starring on one of the best television shows of all-time. “We didn’t make a lot of money on The Sopranos,” she said on the OnlyStans podcast. “I’m one of these actors in the world that never made a ton of money I was on the biggest shows but I never had great representation.”

de Matteo, who won an Emmy for playing the impeccably-dressed Adriana on the HBO series, admits she was being hyperbolic when she claimed OnlyFans saved her life, but not by much. “I probably exaggerated and said I had $10 left in the bank. I probably had maybe $100 or $1,000,” she said.

Those Joey residuals ain’t paying the mortgage, that’s for sure.

de Matteo has over 17,000 subscribers, many of whom have, um, unique requests. “They want to be berated in [Adriana’s] voice, which is crazy,” she said. But she doesn’t necessarily feel comfortable doing that because it wouldn’t be true to who Adriana was as a character. “She was the heart, she was the the moral compass she was the only truly good person on the show,” she explained. “She was innocent she was driven by love all the time.”

When Does ‘Shōgun’ Episode 6 Come Out?

Shogun John Blackthorne Cosmo Jarvis
FX

The latest epic drama series to the place of Game of Thrones is Shōgun, the new series based on the popular James Clavell novel of the same name. Though, unlike Game of Thrones, his story was actually completed.

Shōgun follows an ambitious English navigator who finds himself shipwrecked in feudal Japan. While the series is fictional, it is loosely based on the real-life historical figure named William Adams, who also found himself shipwrecked and became the first Englishman in Japan. The series stars Cosmo Jarvis, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Anna Sawai.

When Does ‘Shōgun’ Episode 6 Come Out?

Shogun Episode 6, titled “Ladies of the Willow World,” will premiere at 3 a.m. ET on March 26 on Hulu in the U.S. before airing on FX at 10 p.m. ET later that day. Here is the official synopsis for the show:

When a mysterious European ship is found marooned in a nearby fishing village, its English pilot, John Blackthorne (Cosmo Jarvis), comes bearing secrets that could help Lord Yoshii Toranaga (Hiroyuki Sanada) tip the scales of power and devastate the formidable influence of Blackthorne’s own enemies — the Jesuit priests and Portuguese merchants. Toranaga’s and Blackthorne’s fates become inextricably tied to their translator, Toda Mariko (Anna Sawai), a mysterious Christian noblewoman and the last of a disgraced line. While serving her lord amidst this fraught political landscape, Mariko must reconcile her newfound companionship with Blackthorne, her commitment to the faith that saved her and her duty to her late father.

The first season (consisting of 10 episodes) of Shōgun has been praised by critics and fans alike, and if you want to get in on the buzz you can catch up on Hulu (or Disney+, depending on your location).
