Why Was Bobbi Althoff Reportedly Kicked Out Of Drake’s SXSW Party?

At South By Southwest on Monday, March 11, Drake’s team hosted an after-party (but Drake himself wasn’t there) following the premiere of the new docuseries Magic City: An American Fantasy, which was co-executive produced by Drake’s DreamCrew Entertainment. The event went down at Austin’s Mayfair nightclub, where Bobbi Althoff reportedly showed up before getting kicked out.

Why Was Bobbi Althoff Reportedly Kicked Out Of Drake’s SXSW Party?

“A source inside the party” reportedly told the Daily Mail, “I have no idea how she got in because she was not invited by organizers or hosts of the event. If you look up the past history between her and Drake, it’s easy to see why she wasn’t invited — and why she was removed as soon as possible.”

So, the reason seems to be that Althoff wasn’t invited due to her and Drake’s past.

Last summer, Drake appeared on Althoff’s The Really Good podcast. Shortly after their awkward-by-design interview, Drake unfollowed Althoff on social media, which sparked rumors of beef between the two. In January, though, Althoff said, “He’s a very nice person. Him and Funny Marco. Both of them definitely changed my whole entire life.” She also noted that she and Drake spoke regularly, and at the time, she had last talked to him “a couple weeks, maybe a month ago.”

Gunna And Offset’s ‘Prada Dem’ Video Is An Exquisite Look At The Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous

According to Gunna’s acclaimed album, A Gift And A Curse, notoriety isn’t all it is cracked up to be. However, on his latest single, “Prada Dem,” featuring Offset, he doesn’t mind showing off the perks of popularity.

Gunna has much to prove as the official follow-up to “Bittersweet” and his first significant collaboration since the YSL RICO Trial. Fortunately for him, he’s no stranger to pressure. The pair lean heavily into the signature trap sound made famous in their Atlanta stomping grounds. For the official video, Gunna, Offset, and director Leff grace viewers with an exquisite look at an elegant lifestyle.

To complement the track’s luxury lyrics, the duo embark on an extravagant shopping spree. “I set the trend, I’m a trendsetter / I’m not a rat, still gettin’ cheddar / Audemars wrist, timeless / Certified factory diamonds / I’m the young n**** goin’ diamond / Prince, they call me Your Highness,” raps Gunna.

Never one to be shown up, Offset flexes his expansive fashion knowledge on his guest verse. “Turning up your b*tch, Cinderella / 2024 Margiela / Money in the wall, cartelin’ / Mansion in the hills, mall in it / Cold in a Saint Laurent chinchilla / Million when I walk, I can spend bigger,” raps Offset.

To take a page out of the Migos’ book, sometimes it’s OK to flex for a second when you are handsome and wealthy. With Offset on the road for his first solo headlining tour and Gunna slated to head back out soon, their grand isn’t in vain, as seen by the price tags they frequently pop.

Did Kristen Stewart Do Her Own Sex Scenes In ‘Love Lies Bleeding’?

love lies bleeding
a24

Kristen Stewart is one of the stars of Love Lies Bleeding, but she’s also doing a great job of selling the movie. In one interview, she called the A24 film “so sexy and very gay”; in another, she said the sex scenes are “going to shock people.” Who wouldn’t want to see that? No, really, I’m asking. Show me the person who doesn’t want to see Stewart fall in love with a bodybuilder — or Ed Harris play a creep among creeps — and I’ll show you a liar.

Speaking of the sex scenes, there’s a lot of them. And yes, it’s actually Stewart and her ripped co-star Katy O’Brian, not body doubles. “The run-of-the-mill, like, just-go-for-it simulated sex thing is so rote,” the Personal Shopper star recently told NBC News. “And it’s like actors do have this default thing where, like, ‘Ok, we’re supposed to make out and have sex now.’ That’s just not how people have sex, and I’m so sick of seeing it.”

Here’s more on Love Lies Bleeding:

From Director Rose Glass comes an electric new love story; reclusive gym manager Lou falls hard for Jackie, an ambitious bodybuilder headed through town to Vegas in pursuit of her dream. But their love ignites violence, pulling them deep into the web of Lou’s criminal family.

Love Lies Bleeding is out in theaters now.

Bill Hader Has Been Cast As Cat In The Hat In A Movie, And People Have A Lot Of (Somewhat Terrified) Thoughts

It turns out people other than Chris Pratt can voice cartoon cats. Who knew? The Insneider reports that Barry co-creator and star Bill Hader has been cast as the Cat in the Hat in a Warner Bros. movie based on the Dr. Seuss book. Fortunately for anyone who’s still recovering from a pre-The Love Guru Mike Meyers as the obnoxiously loud feline, it will be animated, not live-action.

A Cat in the Hat movie was first announced in 2018. “For generations, Dr. Seuss has entertained and delighted children and adults alike with his whimsical tales,” Susan Brandt, president of Dr. Seuss Enterprises, said. “Our partnership with Warner Animation Group continues those efforts by reimagining the beloved characters and stories for theater-going audiences, while keeping the integrity of Dr. Seuss’s vision intact.”

A lot has changed in six years, however: Hader created one of the darkest comedies to ever air on television, and Warner Bros. made an animated movie based on beloved talking animals — only to not release it for the tax benefits. It’s surprising this movie is still happening. But it is (for now), and people have a lot thoughts on Hader as the Cat in the Hat.

Here’s a sneak peek of the film.

Cardi B Declares She’s ‘Not A Feminist Anymore’ As She Explains Her ‘Controversial’ Stance On Relationships

It’s been a big 24 hours for Cardi B. Aside from releasing her own “Enough (Miami),” she and SZA also hopped on Flo Milli’s “Never Lose Me” remix. She also generated some attention yesterday by talking about her perspective on feminism and relationships.

In a video shared by Wallo267 yesterday (March 14), Cardi discussed her take, saying, “If you gonna be the type of b*tch that… you want a n**** to take care of you and everything… but it’s like, alright, you have to pick a balance. You cannot just be a b*tch that’s like, ‘Oh, my man take care of me,’ but what do you do? What are you contributing? You can’t be complaining like, ‘Oh, I cook, I clean every day.’ It’s like, ‘OK, but you don’t work. You don’t contribute to the house.’”

She then said, “So this is really controversial, right,” before going on to speak about her belief that the man and woman in a relationship should have an equal financial responsibility if their income is the same. She later continued, “That’s what I’m saying, like, I’m not a feminist anymore, because it’s like… sometimes it’s like, y’all b*tches ain’t living in the real world. Y’all not living there.”

Halle Reaches New Heights Of Love With Her Ballad, ‘In Your Hands’

Halle is back and stronger than ever. Earlier this year, the remarkably talented multihyphenate revealed she gave birth to a baby son with her longtime partner, rapper DDG. She’s also been teasing new solo music, as she and her sister, Chlöe, have been working on new material — both as a duo and as solo acts. Tonight (March 15), Halle shared her new single, “In Your Hands.”

On “In Your Hands,” Halle waxes romantic, as she feels empowered when her love holds her. Fully aware of the power she possesses, Halle warns him not to fumble her, as this type of love only comes once in a lifetime.

“In your hands, in your hands / The world is yours when I’m in it / In your hands, in your hands / You can’t let go or you’ll lose your chance / ‘Cause after me, you’ll never fall in love again,” she sings on the song’s chorus.

In the song’s accompanying video, Halle is seen in the ocean, moving effortlessly through the water.

In a follow-up scene, Halle is in the mountains and flawlessly nails a guitar riff. As Halle is the only person in the video, she offers a simple reminder that she, alone, is enough to change her lover’s life.

Ski Mask The Slump God Takes To The Streets Of ‘Shibuya’ On His New Single

Ski Mask The Slump God has made a long-awaited return. Tonight (March 15), the elusive rapper kicked off the chapter of his upcoming album, 11th Dimension, which is set to arrive later this year. Signifying the new beginning is the album’s lead single, “Shibuya.”

Over a technological, video game-like beat, Ski Mask reminds everyone that while six years have passed since his debut album, Stokeley, he’s not leaving the rap game anytime soon. He maintains his brash, rough delivery — making it feel that although he’s been away for a minute, it’s like he never left.

“For the right price, he’ll do ya / That’s my right-hand man / We out in Shibuya, outside in Japan / Striped sweater on me like Krueger, huh, what’s it to ya? / Introduce you to my new gun, this Ruger in my pants,” Ski Mask raps on the song’s chorus.

“Shibuya” marks Ski Mask’s first solo single in two years, his most recent being “Ooga Booga.” He also appears on the Lyrical Lemonade album All Is Yellow on a track called “Fly Away” with Sheck Wes.

This Sunday (March 17), Ski Mask will perform at Rolling Loud for a 45-minute set on the Ethika Stage.

In the meantime, you can see listen to “Shibuya” above.
