2024 has been beef season in the rap world but while everyone from Ice Spice to The Weeknd is embroiled in some type of feud or another (and Drake is somehow embroiled in at least five at the same time) at least one artist out there doesn’t want smoke with anybody, least of all the guy who seems to have it out for him the worst. During a recent live stream, Donald Glover invited Kid Cudi to have a conversation with him to hash out their issues, saying “I’m not here for the beef.” But why does Kid Cudi have beef with Childish Gambino in the first place?

The origin of their issues is unclear; in an interview last year, Glover recalled being booed while opening for Cudi on tour back when they were both still relatively new artists. However, neither had ever publicly intimated any discord existed between them until a fan suggested the two collaborate on a project on Twitter in February, or at least release their song “Warlords,” which leaked online but hadn’t received an official release date. In response, Cudi quoted back, “Im cool.”

Fans immediately thought that the pair had some sort of friction, but in reality, it could be as simple as Cudi being focused on his own projects — which do technically compete with Glover’s. Cudi has a full slate of work coming up, from his Insano tour to a new album along with a bunch of film and television projects still in the works. It could be just a predilection for pugilism, as some fans think; just this past January, Cudi had a heated back-and-forth with Lupe Fiasco.

It’s finally happening: This Friday, April 19, Taylor Swift is set to release her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. By now, most Swifties have surely decided which edition (or more likely, editions) of they album they’re going to get. For those who haven’t though, let’s take a look at the options.

How Many Editions Of Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department Are There?

Currently, purchasers have two options. Swift’s online shop is currently offering the standard digital edition of the album, the tracklist for which can be found below. The other option currently available in The Manuscript Edition, which includes “The Manuscript” as a bonus track.

Previously, three other editions were available for a limited time, for a total of five overall. In February, Swift put The Bolter Edition and The Albatross Edition for sale, followed by The Black Dog Edition in March. Naturally, those versions include their respective titular song as a bonus track.

It seems today that all you see is cinematic universes in movies and Yellowstone on TV, but where are those good old-fashioned animated shows on which we used to rely? Well, they’re on Fox: The Simpsons is currently in its 35th season, and Family Guy isn’t that far behind at 22 seasons.

The Simpsons will outlive us all, but what about its plagiarismo brother? “At this point, I don’t see a good reason to stop. People still love it,” creator Seth MacFarlane told the Los Angeles Times. “It makes people happy and it funds some good causes. It’s a lot of extraneous cash that you can donate to Rainforest Trust and you can still go out to dinner that night.”

MacFarlane admits there’s been times when he’s considered having Family Guy hit the ol’ dusty trail, but “at this point, we’ve reached escape velocity. I don’t know that there’s any reason to stop at this point unless people get sick of it. Unless the numbers show that people just are, ‘Eh, we don’t care about Family Guy anymore.’ But that hasn’t happened yet.”

MacFarlane hasn’t been actively involved in the day-to-day operations for Family Guy in 15 years (showrunners Rich Appel and Alec Sulkin are the ones flying the Petercopter, so to speak), and there’s no reason it can’t last another 22 seasons — unless the cast’s voices go. “It’s this guy’s vocal cords,” Sulkin said about MacFarlane. “That’s what we’re all concerned about.”

But as long as he can still belt out musical numbers, Family Guy isn’t going anywhere.

The Fraternal Order of Police is learning what happens after you swing at Reacher. The muscle-bound star of the hit Amazon series, Alan Ritchson, voiced his thoughts about the state of policing during a recent interview. The law enforcement organization did not take it well.

It all started when Ritchson was asked to respond to MAGA trolls who unearthed a photo of him wearing a T-shirt that read “Arrest The Cops Who Killed Breonna Taylor.” The actor did not back down from the statement and freely spoke his mind.

“Cops get away with murder all the time, and the fact that we can’t really hold them accountable for their improprieties is disturbing to me,” Ritchson told The Hollywood Reporter. “We should completely reform the way that we do it. I mean, you shouldn’t have to spend more time getting an education as a hairstylist than as a cop who’s armed with a deadly weapon.”

The official Twitter account for the National Fraternal Order of Police fired back at Ritchson in a mocking post while calling the actor “pampered”:

While Mr. Ritchson gets his face and forehead powdered on set, our officers are out doing a job he doesn’t have the courage to do. While he gets to hear loud pops and have blanks fired at him, our officers feel the heat of the bullets as they pierce their skin. There are no take two’s or take three’s in real life Mr. Ritchson. We have people who want to kill us and we play for keeps. Just another useless Hollywood actor, virtue signaling for attention at the expense of brave police officers around this country.

Go back to your pampered life and let the heroes handle this.

Ritchson will not go back to his pampered life. In fact, he’s going to swing right back. In a post from his verified Instagram account, Ritchson took the fight directly to the FOP as he called them out for their “immature response” and bullying tactics.

“This kind of emotionally immature response is the epitome of what concerns me about law enforcement today,” Ritchson wrote. “If this is how leadership handles a peaceful disagreement, what does life look like for those unseen interactions in the street? How does this shape the character of those police officers looking to management? Do you really want individuals so easily angered, who bully like school children to have a gun and the protection of an untouchable union? I don’t.⁣”

The We Trust You tour is set to begin in late July and continue until early September, with tickets going on sale on Friday, April 19 at 10 am local time. It’s nice that Travis Kelce was able to find something he really enjoyed doing and make a career out of it, because it seems like, for him at least, school was really not his “thing.”

Nevertheless, he continued pursuing education… only to go on to play in the NFL and eventually receive an honorary degree. Does that make him eligible to host a trivia game show based on knowledge? Probably not, but it will definitely be entertaining.

Last month, it was rumored that the Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs tight end (and boyfriend of one Taylor Alison Swift) would be hosting a spinoff of Are Your Smarter Than a Fifth Grader, and today it was revealed that the show will actually be a celebrity-focused version of the game show, titled Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? Well… is he?

The show will have contestants answering 6th-grade level questions with the help of some celebrities. Amazon Prime has ordered 20 episodes of the series.

“I grew up loving game shows, and I’m excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one with Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity,” Kelce said in a statement. “The original show is a great success, so to be bringing a new format with everyone’s favorite celebrities to the screen, will definitely be entertaining. I’m just happy to be on the hosting side of the equation here and excited to see how these famous faces keep up.”

Barry Poznick, series co-creator, explained the new format. “Replacing the kids with celebrities gives us more laughs and surprises, like a roast, as contestants cheat off their famous classmates. And now, with the ultimate class clown, Travis Kelce, hosting, viewers should expect the unexpected.” Maybe Jason will show up and cause some ruckus.

After delaying the premiere of Welcome to Wrexham season 3 thanks to the ongoing English football season, the docuseries is finally ready to kick off. The show focuses on Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney as they continue their joint ownership of the Wrexham AFC team.

The two actors struck up a texting relationship during the pandemic, and despite barely knowing each other, they went all-in on buying a football club together. It’s been a wild ride ever since, and you can catch up with the latest installment of the FX docuseries when season 3 arrives next month. Here’s how FX teased Welcome to Wrexham season 3 after announcing the delay via The Hollywood Reporter:

In 2020, Rob and Ryan teamed up to purchase the fifth tier Red Dragons in the hopes of turning the Club into an underdog story the whole world could root for. The world took notice and change is afoot. After 15 painful seasons in the National League, the Club finally achieved promotion back into the English Football League. The stakes have never been higher.

According to the release, season 3 will also include “unprecedented access on the pitch, bringing viewers inside the locker room and alongside the players, while the action is unfolding in some of the biggest matches Wrexham AFC has ever played.”

Welcome to Wrexham season 3 premieres on May 2 on FX.

Stray Kids surprised fans today by announcing a new digital single titled “Lose My Breath.” While not a bunch is known about the track yet, we do know it’s a collaboration with Charlie Puth that fans will be sure to love when it drops on May 10.

This announcement comes just a few days after the band dropped a new song “Why?.” However, “Lose My Breath” appears to be the lead single from the band’s next project, as they changed their social media to blue — which matches the color scheme from the single’s announcement poster.

According to Soompi, there had been rumors circulating that Stray Kids would be making a return in June, although this hadn’t been confirmed by their management company, JYP Entertainment, yet.

Over the past few months, Stray Kids have continued to remain busy, between dropping a new album Rock-Star back in November and revealing that they will be headlining the BST Hyde Park Festival in London this summer.

Considering the latter, fans could likely get even more new music alongside “Lose My Breath” and “Why?” before they take the stage on July 14. More information about their festival appearance can be found here. Other than that, Stray Kids’ only other show for 2024 is for Lollapalooza.

The Taylor Sheridan machine runs so fast and furious while churning out Paramount Network and Paramount+ TV shows that it’s no surprise that things get messy at times. Is there too much drama, though? Despite reportedly butting heads with Kevin Costner, Matthew McConaughey, and Cole Hauser, Sheridan cannot be slowed down.

The same sentiment goes for Tulsa King, which has moved into second-season filming despite upheaval on the showrunner/writing front and moving most of production out of “hell”-ish (according to star Sylvester Stallone on a climate-related note) Oklahoma and into Atlanta, Georgia. Then there are the recent allegations regarding Stallone allegedly fostering a “toxic” work environment for extras, which Sly has been accused of insulting with “tub of lard” and other such unsavory sentiments.

Producer and director Craig Zisk previously denied to TMZ that Stallone acted inappropriately and maintains that any friction was down to the advertised casting range being older than the scripts meant for these roles to be portrayed. Stallone, for his part, is ignoring the accusations against him and, instead, showing off the fancy duds of Dwight “The General” Manfredi: “Ringing the Bell on location for TULSA KING part two….”

And the show must go on. Does this mean that Dwight won’t be carted back to prison? You never know. Previously, Stallone declared, “[Y]ou have no idea what’s coming,” so we’ll have to take his word for it.

New music festival alert: The inaugural Sudden Little Thrills Music Festival is going down on September 7 and 8 at Hazelwood Green in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The lineup is bringing the heat, too: The Killers and SZA are headlining, and also performing across the fest’s two days and three stages are Melanie Martinez, Wiz Khalifa, St. Vincent, Fletcher, Omar Apollo, Yung Gravy, Girl Talk, Crowded House, Ethel Cain, Del Water Gap, Hoppi Campus, Juvenile, The Frive Era, Lupe Fiasco, Kenny Mason, Royel Otis, and more. The fest is also putting an emphasis on local performers, including Pittsburgh artists Feeble Little Horse, Corook, Fedd The God, and Krunk And The Center Of Life Band.

Regarding tickets, the pre-sale runs on April 18 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. ET. After the pre-sale, prices will increase for the public on-sale, which starts immediately after the pre-sale. Those interested can sign up now to receive a pre-sale passcode, via the festival website.

As for the name of the festival, a press release explains, “Inspired by Pittsburgh’s arts and culture legacy, the name Sudden Little Thrills embodies the ethos of the festival — to be present and open to sudden moments of fun, joy, and inspiration, and selecting Hazelwood Green as the festival’s home expands on that philosophy.”
