BTS’ RM Strays From His Band’s Sleek Pop Sound On The New Pop-Rock Single ‘Come Back To Me’

As the BTS hiatus rolls on, the group’s RM isn’t stopping. His second solo album — Right Place, Wrong Person — is set to drop on May 24. Ahead of then, he has shared a video for a new single, “Come Back To Me.”

A press release notes that on the song, RM “explores the central theme of the new album, ‘right and wrong,’ delving into the paradoxical desire to venture into new territories while longing to remain content in the present.”

The tune is a departure from the slick pop listeners would expect of BTS, as the tune is carried by gentle acoustic guitar and whistles as RM explores more of a John Mayer-esque pop-rock territory. He’s also not afraid to go long: The radio edit runs for about 4 minutes, but the standard version of the song is about 6-and-a-half minutes long.

He first revealed the song while making a surprise appearance at a Suga concert in August 2023. At the time, he called the track one of his favorites from the album.

The video is directed by Lee Sung Jin, known for creating the Emmy-winning 2023 Netflix series Beef. Joseph Lee, who plays the role of George Nakai in Beef, actually has a part in this video, as does Kim Minha of Pachinko fame.

Stephen Colbert Found The Most ‘Stirringly Stupid’ Way That Trump Has Raised Money Yet

On a rare off-day from court, Donald Trump hosted a dinner this week for supporters who bought at least 47 of his “mugshot edition” NFTs at 99 bucks a pop. They were also “supposed to receive a physical card with a piece of the suit Trump is said to have worn the day he was arrested last August,” according to Axios, while anyone who purchased 100 NFTs get a piece of the suit “and the tie that Trump was wearing when he was arrested.”

What, no boxers and t-shirt?

On Thursday’s episode of The Late Show, host Stephen Colbert reminded everyone about the NFTs of the “most historically significant artifact in United States history.” He said, “Awhile back, a year ago, something like that, who knows anymore, Trump sold NFTs with stirringly stupid images of him doing things like hanging out in space with a fire lion, holding a guitar in a totally normal way, and grilling burgers for a dog that Kristi Noem would later shoot.”

Colbert did the math, and anyone who bought 47 NFTs pissed away at least $4,653. What else could they have spent that money on? This vending machine, Colbert suggested, with enough money left over for Doritos and Skittles, “which coincidentally, were the entrees at Trump’s dinner.”

Post Malone Previews His Debut Country Album With The Morgan Wallen Collaboration ‘I Had Some Help’

Post Malone started his career running in hip-hop circles before putting a greater emphasis on poppier music in recent albums. Now, he has another pivot coming, as indicated by his latest single: “I Had Some Help,” a collaboration with country superstar Morgan Wallen.

The midtempo tune, which isn’t short on twang, sees Malone reflecting on his shortcomings, singing on the chorus, “I had some help / It ain’t like I can make this kinda mess all by myself / Don’t act like you ain’t help me pull that bottle off the shelf / Been deep in every weekend if you couldn’t tell / They say, ‘Teamwork makes the dream work’ / Hell, I had some help.”

This isn’t just a one-off foray into country for Malone, either: A press release notes the song will be featured on his “first-ever full-length country album this year.” Additional information about that project hasn’t yet been shared.

The new single comes shortly after Malone was one of the highlights of this year’s Stagecoach festival. Uproxx’s Philip Cosores noted, “Though he first emerged through the world of SoundCloud rap, Posty has proven to be good at most things he tries. His own original music has veered into a genreless mélange that reflects the omnivorous tastes of many young music fans, while he’s proven to be adept at everything from Nirvana covers to acting. As a proud Texan, it’s not surprising that he would also slay as a country cover band, curating a set of radio hits that felt like a rowdy bar with a great house band or jukebox.”

A Very NSFW Moment Interrupted Luka Doncic’s Press Conference After Game 2

Awful Announcing/Twitter

Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks picked up a big win during Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals. After getting blown out in Game 1 of the series, Doncic and the Mavs bounced back in a big way, as the team got hot from behind the three-point line en route to a 119-110 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

With the win, Dallas is now in control of the series, because if they just win their home games, they’ll move on to the conference finals. And as is usually the case in these moments, Doncic came up huge, as the All-Star led his team with 29 points on 11-for-21 shooting with 10 rebounds, seven assists, three steals, a block, and only one turnover in 41 minutes of work.

After the game, Doncic sat down to speak with the press, where he was in what appeared to be a pretty good mood. And then, this happened, and for a brief moment, Doncic was the most scared person in the known universe.

Here’s a clip that gives you a sense of how hard everyone in the room was laughing, including Doncic, who, God bless him, told everyone “I hope that’s not live.”

Anyway, somehow, someway, a press conference happened after this.

A cute, fun hit for the summer, Stray Kids know how to charm the ladies. Some R&B-and-pop-inspired vocals from Puth give the song some lovely, romantic flavor, as well as some crossover potential.

The rapid, energetic beat of the track gives some fuel, bringing back what the pop game has been missing.

Ice Spice Sets The ‘Y2K’ Vibes With Her New Single, ‘Gimmie A Light’

Ice Spice is back! Earlier this year, the Bronx native announced she is gearing up to release her hotly anticipated debut album, Y2K. Tonight (May 10), she has finally shared some new music. Her newest single, “Gimmie A Light,” offers some early aughts nostalgia.

“Gimmie A Light” features a sample of Jamaican dancehall artist Sean Paul’s 2002 hit, “Gimme The Light” — an ode to dancefloors and weed. Ice’s single comprises of the same energy, with a bit of a modern twist.

“Hot boxin’ the V, like, give me a light / Fat ass so the pants fit tight / Took her man, I’m gettin’ him right / Big knock, like, why would I fight?,” Ice raps on the song’s chorus.

Over the past year, Ice has been rumored to be in a beef with fellow rapper Latto. Back in January, Ice released “Think U The Sh*t (Fart) which was thought to be aimed at Latto, to which Latto replied with “Sunday Service,” the video for which was filmed in Latto’s old neighborhood.

But now, it appears Ice isn’t fazed by any rumored feuds. Elsewhere in the song, Ice raps “No, I don’t got any opps / Like, why would I beef with a flop?”

Luka Doncic And P.J. Washington Led The Mavs To A Game 2 Win Over The Thunder

The Dallas Mavericks have stolen homecourt advantage away from the Oklahoma City Thunder in their Western Conference Semifinal matchup. After falling on OKC’s floor in Game 1, the Mavs bounced back by getting incredibly hot from behind the three-point line to pick up a 119-110 win and tie things up in their series at one game each.

The Mavericks caught fire to start the game, as the team raced out to a 13-2 lead that took some of the air out of the always raucous crowd in Oklahoma City. While the Thunder were able to battle back and get the lead down to one, Dallas went on yet another run — this time, it was eight unanswered points to give themselves a little cushion, with Luka Doncic having a particularly devastating period by scoring 16 points on 4-for-5 shooting from three.

Still, between 10 points from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and a buzzer-beater after snatching a full-court pass out of midair to end the quarter by Chet Holmgren, Oklahoma City was able to keep things close, and Dallas went into the second with a 36-32 lead.

The Maverick offense continued to hum during the first part of the second quarter thanks to Doncic and P.J. Washington, both of whom were scorching hot on that end of the floor throughout the first half. Doncic was locked in as a scorer and a passer, while Washington got into a groove from behind the three-point line and managed to get his playoff career-high in the first half.

It helped Dallas lead by as many as 14 points, but the Thunder were able to chip away, going on a 15-4 run powered by Gilgeous-Alexander that put the Mavs right back within their reach.

A Josh Green made three with nine seconds left gave Dallas a 68-62 lead as the teams went into the locker room for halftime. Washington led all scorers with 19 points, while Doncic was not far behind with 18 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. As a team, the Mavericks were on excellent from behind the three-point line, knocking down 12 of their 24 attempts. Gilgeous-Alexander put up an 18-point, 4-rebound, 3-assist half for the Thunder, while Jalen Williams scored 14.

Oklahoma City came right out of the break and threw their best punch. The team immediately went on a 10-3 run out of halftime, with a bucket by Aaron Wiggins giving them their first lead of the night. And after a free throw by Kyrie Irving tied things back up, Lu Dort ignited the crowd by drilling a corner three.

The two teams traded buckets, but despite a spell with Doncic sitting on the bench, the Mavs were able to go on an 18-4 that featured 10 straight points by Tim Hardaway Jr. to open up a bit of breathing room. The lead got up to as many as 14 points in the quarter, and after a brief spurt by Oklahoma City at the end of the third, Dallas took a 99-89 lead into the game’s final 12 minutes.

Right at the start of the fourth, the Thunder looked poised to go on a run. The team scored the first six points of the frame, capped off by an incredible putback dunk by Williams that made the home crowd lose its mind.

The Mavs had a response, as the team settled things down and scored the next five points. For much of the remainder of the quarter, Dallas did a great job of keeping Oklahoma City at arm’s length, whether it was because of the brilliance of Doncic or the Thunder going cold at the worst possible time. Every push that OKC tried to make had an immediate response, with Dallas showing off some veteran savvy against the upstart 1-seed in the Western Conference.

Doncic and Washington led the way for the Mavs, with both scoring 29 points — the former added 10 rebounds, seven assists, and three steals, while the latter had 11 rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Three other players reached double-figure scoring, led by 17 off the bench by Hardaway. Gilgeous-Alexander handled most of the heavy lifting for the Thunder, going for 33 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists, with Williams pitching in 20 points of his own.

The two teams will now head to Dallas, where they’ll play on short rest. Game 3 takes place on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. EST on ESPN.

Over a rhythmic beat, produced by El Guincho, Cabello sets the tone for a sexy, steamy summer. Happily single, Cabello is ready to hit the town, and take over the dancefloor.

Megan Thee Stallion Is A Venomous Game Character Who Can’t Be Played In Her New Video For ‘BOA’

Megan Thee Stallion is spewing that venom. Last year, the Houston rapper dropped “Cobra,” her pro-mental health track on which she details the trauma she endured over the prior four years. Earlier this year, she dropped “Hiss,” on which, she called out those who had betrayed her and sneaked dissed her while she was in pain. Continuing upon the snake theme, tonight (May 10), Meg has dropped her new single, “BOA.”

On “BOA,” Meg leaves no stone unturned as she fires shots at the opps who have tried her over the past few months.

“I keep it real, I keep it sexy, calling for backup before they address me,” she raps, alluding to certain rivals who assembled armies to team up against her. She also notes her unmatched ability to keep cool under pressure, calling out those who “Do all of that typing, but never once did I get pressed.”

In the song’s accompanying video, produced by SixTwentySix and directed by Daniel Igleslias Jr., three friends play a mysterious game, in which they attempt to defeat a serpent woman. But they quickly find out they’ve made a huge mistake, as the Serpent woman proves that she is indestructible, and that she is here for vengeance.

Next month, Meg will embark on her much-anticipated Hot Girl Summer Tour with fellow rapper GloRilla. She is also expected to release her third studio album.
