We’ve been seeing a lot of Camila Cabello lately as the singer has geared up for a new era, led by the single “I Luv It.” Now, she’s officially in album mode.

Today (May 6), Cabello revealed that her upcoming album, which will be her fourth, is called C, XOXO, and that it’s set for release on June 28. She also shared the cover art, a close-up portrait of a blue-tongued Cabello giving a blue lollipop a big lick as she looks down the barrel of the camera.

In a recent interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Cabello called the project her “live my questions album” and explained, “It’s really sitting in the discomfort of things and realizing there’s not gonna be a neat, in-a-box answer. I feel strong in these ways, weak in these ways, and there’s no real clear answer here. But the album process has been such a journey. It started out with me having that intention of going back to how it started for me, which was just sitting with myself and really getting back to that first passion of songwriting. Nerding out over references and artists and poetry — whatever — and really tapping into that.”

C, XOXO is out 6/28 via Geffen/Interscope. Find more information here.

The Actress Who Showed Her ‘Thirst Traps’ On ‘SNL’ Reached Out To Dua Lipa On Social Media

One of the highlights of Dua Lipa‘s SNL hosting debut was “The Anomalous Man.”

In the sketch, the “Houdini” singer plays a theatergoer in 1890s London who demands to meet the writer of the play, The Anomalous Man. She’s warned to not be shocked by the playwright’s appearance, as “it will destroy him.” But where most see a monster looking at Peter, played by Sarah Sherman in makeup seemingly done by the legend Rick Baker, Dua Lipa’s character sees a wonderful man — even with his hoof hands and third eyeball in his back.

They quickly fall in love until Peter gets caught two-timing Dua Lipa using a second phone to text other women. One message to “Whitney Hinge” reads, “She’s asleep. Wash that ass and get to the Holiday Inn. I’m tryna show you what this snout do.” Thank god we never learn what that snout do, but we do know who the thirst trap photos in the sketch belong to.

“Dear @DUALIPA – I’m sorry we had to meet this way but trust that I’d way rather send my thirst traps to you than that terrible Anomalous Man,” actress Whitney Moore wrote on X. “He’s not even a good writer, he just has rich parents! (thank you @mikediva for allowing me to show my ass on national tv!).” This, as far as I can tell, is the first time someone from cult classic Birdemic: Shock and Terror has appeared on SNL. That’s history right there.

You can watch “The Anomalous Man” above. You should also check out Moore’s short film, “Palm Swings.”

James Gunn Has Revealed The New Superman Suit As Worn By David Corenswet, And People Sure Have Thoughts

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a pair of trunks and some snazzy boots! The first image of David Corenswet as Superman was revealed this week, and now the DC movie is finally taking shape after a rough year for the studio.

Superman:Legacy began production last month and is aiming for a Summer 2025 release. After a long and painful casting process, Corenswet will take the screen as Superman alongside Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Nathan Fillion and Skyler Gisondo.

James Gunn posted the first look of the superhero on Threds, which prompted people to critique Superman’s threads. He also confirmed that the photo was taken “in-camera” to anyone who was claiming it was AI-generated.

You might be thinking, “isn’t a superhero suit more about comfort and agility than style?” and you’d be right if this was real life, but it’s a movie, which means that Superman’s suit is more important than the plot itself. And fans were not happy.

The suit design takes a few different elements from various Superman suits over the years, most notably Superman 52, but with some trunks. Not everyone was happy about the debut:

While the disappointment was prominent, some brave souls were excited! About the trunks, too!

On a related note, why is he taking his sweet time putting on his little boots when there is a catastrophic event behind him??

Superman: Legacy hits theaters July 11th 2025.

Snoop Dogg Is Getting His Own College Football Bowl Game, Making NCAA History

Snoop Dogg’s impact on football is rapidly becoming undeniable. In addition to his musical contributions to the sport, like his and Chris Stapleton’s 2023 Monday Night Football theme song and his performance alongside Dr. Dre at the 2022 Super Bowl, Snoop’s efforts in youth football in his hometown, Long Beach (as immortalized in his Amazon Prime comedy film, The Underdoggs), have sent a number of players from the ‘hood to the pros. This December, he’ll make college football history with the first-ever Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl Presented By Gin & Juice By Dre And Snoop.

The Arizona Bowl, established in 2015 and featuring teams from the Mountain West and Mid-American Conferences, will become the first NCAA bowl game to be presented by an alcoholic beverage company. As the Doggfather points out in his press statement for the partnership, The Snoop Youth Football League has become a launching pad for college football, so the connection makes more sense than it may appear on the surface. “I’ve sent many players through my SYFL to colleges (and the NFL) so it’s only fitting that I bring the ‘juice’ back to college football,” Snoop said. “Dr. Dre and I are excited to bring our brand to the next level with this partnership, and we’re going to make the Arizona Bowl into a game day experience like never before.”

The Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl Presented By Gin & Juice By Dre And Snoop will air on December 28, 2024, at 2:30pm MST.

An Author Claims That An Abusive Character Depicted In ‘Baby Reindeer’ Is Known By ‘People In The Industry’

Baby Reindeer
Netflix

Baby Reindeer creator and star Richard Gadd has already moved on to working on his next project. Gadd has also asked people to stop speculating about the identities of Martha and Darrien (the characters who abused his alter-ego, Donny, in different ways), although those urgings have fallen on deaf ears. Part of that continuation involves the real-life Martha coming forward to threaten legal action, and as for the chatter about who the Darrien character (who groomed and raped Donny) might be, Gadd has also written: “People I love, have worked with, and admire (including Sean Foley) are unfairly getting caught up in speculation.”

Sean Foley also thusly responded to the false accusations and associated threats lodged directed towards him: “Police have been informed and are investigating all defamatory abusive and threatening posts against me.” Deadline now details word from English author Richard Osman, who broached the subject on The Rest Is Entertainment podcast. According to Osman, many “people in the industry” know the identity of the real-life Darrien after (allegedly) hearing details from Gadd himself:

“There’s a very, very serious thing that happens with a male comedy producer and Richard Gadd, who, as you say, did the show in Edinburgh and has been very open to people in the industry about who that person was, so people in the industry know who that person was. Now it comes out now and a completely different person is identified, someone who has produced Richard Gadd before, but is definitively not the person in any way … And it is not him, definitely not because people in the industry know who it is. And it’s definitely not him.”

Gadd hasn’t spoken further on the subject, although he previously stressed that he had changed details while writing Darrien and Martha, so that they could not be connected to real-life people.

Baby Reindeer is streaming in full on Netflix.

It’s An ‘Eras Tour’ Hot 100 As Taylor Swift Stays At No. 1 And Sabrina Carpenter Hits A New High This Week

Every week, Billboard unveils the top 10 songs on the latest Hot 100 chart. The most recent rankings, for the chart dated May 11, are out now, so let’s run down who had this week’s biggest hits.

10. Taylor Swift — “Down Bad”

Last week, Taylor Swift had the top 14 songs on the Hot 100. She’s cooled off a bit this week, with only three songs in the top 10, including “Down Bad.”

9. Taylor Swift — “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart”

“I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” is one of the other two to survive in the region from Week 1 to 2. It’s the album’s second-most streamed song on Spotify so far with over 117 million plays.

8. Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar — “Like That”

Kendrick Lamar has released what feels like a thousand Drake diss tracks since “Like That,” but this one is still going strong in the top 10 this week. This is one of many songs returning to the top 10 this week following Swift’s dominant frame.

7. Hozier — “Too Sweet”

“Too Sweet” is officially the biggest song of Hozier’s career, as it topped the Hot 100 for a week in April. It’s no longer at No. 1 but it’s sticking around at No. 7 this week.

6. Teddy Swims — “Lose Control”

Swims hasn’t lost control has his breakout hit, a former No. 1, remains near the top of the Hot 100 chart.

5. Benson Boone — “Beautiful Things”

Boone’s “Beautiful Things” was the biggest non-Swift song on last week’s Hot 100, a status it didn’t manage to maintain this week thanks to some milestone achievements from other artists.

4. Sabrina Carpenter — “Espresso”

It’s starting to feel like the summer of Sabrina. After Carpenter’s “Espresso” became her first top-10 Hot 100 hit in April, it’s now her first top-5 song with its No. 4 placement this week. Between Swift and Carpenter, songs from performers on The Eras Tour make up four of the top 10 songs.

3. Shaboozey — “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”

Shaboozey has been blowing up since landing an appearance on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album. His own “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has become a hit in its own right and is now his first top-10 song on the Hot 100.

2. Tommy Richman — “Million Dollar Baby”

As for Richman, this is his first Hot 100 hit period, and it debuted all the way up at No. 2. This is the highest debut for a song with no prior Hot 100 experience since Oliver Anthony’s “Rich Men North Of Richmond” opened at No. 1 last summer.

1. Taylor Swift — “Fortnight” Feat. Post Malone

Despite all the impressive newcomers, it’s a pair of familiar faces occupying the top spot this week. Swift and Malone’s The Tortured Poets Department single debuted at No. 1 last week, and now it has held onto its place for a second frame.

Anthony Edwards On Getting Compared To Michael Jordan: ‘I Want It To Stop’

anthony edwards

There was a fun moment during Saturday night’s game between the Denver Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves. At one point, Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards backed Kentavious Caldwell-Pope down, then busted out a spin move and a fadeaway jumper from midrange. It was only one of the buckets Edwards got in his 43-point outing that powered Minnesota to a surprising Game 1 win, but it stuck out because of an observation Jamal Crawford made where he came really close to comparing Edwards to a player he refused to name.

It was a fun moment (particularly because of Reggie Miller’s prodding), but it also was the latest example of what has become an increasingly common thing: Edwards getting comparisons to Michael Jordan. They pop up for a few different reasons — Edwards’ game, how magnetic of a personality he is, his unwavering sense of confidence in himself — but in a new piece by Melissa Rohlin of Fox Sports, we learned that Edwards would prefer these comparisons never happen.

“I want it to stop,” Edwards said. “He’s the greatest of all time. I can’t be compared to him.”

Again, it can be hard to see basically everything about Edwards and not make a comparison to Jordan. And if he’s able to help the Wolves lift the Larry O’Brien trophy for the first time in franchise history? Well, these comparisons are going to get much, much louder.

Mom explains ‘coming out’ to her Gen Alpha kids and people are praising her for it

Coming out stories can be filled with joy or pain depending on the support a person feels from their family and friends. There are some people in the LGBTQ+ community that have never had to come out, though that seems to be a rarity. That may be changing in the future for younger generations, however, as each generation is generally more socially liberal than the generations before them.

The current parents giving birth and raising young children are millennials and older Gen Zers. Both of these generations get a lot a flack for how social justice-oriented and emotionally aware they are, so it would make sense that their children would experience different social norms.

Emmaline Carroll Southwell recently uploaded a video of her explaining what coming out means to her young Gen Alpha kids. Coming out is a term used to describe when a member of the LGBTQ community tells people in their lives that they’re LGBTQ for the first time. This is a concept that Southwell’s children don’t comprehend as being necessary, so she tries to fill in the blanks for them.

“In some families, cultures and religions, you’re not allowed to be gay,” Southwell says as her kids immediately chime in with a surprised, “What? Why?” before she continues. “Yes, and so there is the term ‘coming out,’ [it] applies to people who need to come out to their families to let them know, ‘I’m gay.'”

One of the kids in the backseat asks, “But why do they have to tell them?” They seem to be genuinely confused on why that would be important information to share with families. The mom explains that some families disown their children or have other negative reactions. Her children remain shocked throughout the entire conversation not understanding how who someone loves could cause a negative response from their family members. Commenters praise the mom and expressed hope for the future.

“Awww the babies. This actually made me hopeful for future generations,” one person writes.

“You made my day, as a gay man and teacher, more hopeful. Blessed be you and your kids,” another says.

“I absolutely love seeing your conversations with your children. They’re so so intelligent and caring and kind. You’re doing the best job mama,” someone shares.

“From someone who was disowned by their family, thank you for making your family a safe place for all love,” a commenter reveals.

“Making it clear from the start that it’s more than ok to be who you are is my favorite parenting style,” another person praises.

This mom’s open conversation with her children is giving people a much needed dose of hope and seems to be providing a little healing for some. Maybe in the future far fewer people will find themselves needing to come out to their families and simply know they’ll be loved for who they are.

Pat Riley Vs. Jimmy Butler Could Get Very Messy This Summer

Jimmy Butler
Getty Image

The Miami Heat were not able to duplicate last year’s incredible run from the 8-seed to the NBA Finals, as this year they got taken out in five games by the top-seeded Boston Celtics in the first round. While they did shoot their way to a Game 2 win, the rest of the series showed the gulf between the two teams, which was widened considerably by the absence of Jimmy Butler (and Terry Rozier).

The way the season ended only complicated Miami’s summer plans, as they now have to figure out what the best course of action is for both the short- and long-term. That includes whether to offer Jimmy Butler an extension, as he’s eligible for a 2-year, $113 million extension offer this summer. On Monday, Pat Riley met with the assembled media and made it pretty clear that was not under serious consideration, and made some eyebrow raising comments regarding his star forward.

The first indication the Heat weren’t ready to commit to Butler long-term came in this quote about having success in their recent “5-year window,” but never winning a title.

From there, he was asked specifically about Butler’s extension and said that hadn’t been discussed internally, but that it was not something Miami felt they needed to to this summer.

I highly doubt Butler would agree, and as Riley continued to talk, he made it clear that Butler’s lack of availability night-to-night — he’s never played more than 64 games in a season with the Heat — was a factor in what they’d be willing to commit to him.

From there, he addressed Butler’s comments the Heat would’ve beaten Boston and New York with him, and did not mince words about his star’s bloviating.

So, does all of that mean Butler will be considered for a trade?

At least, not for now. Butler’s response to all of this will be fascinating. He’s long talked about loving the culture in Miami, but now that tough love(?) is being directed at him. He has never been shy about applying pressure to an organization to do what he wants, and if extension talks go nowhere, we’ll have to see if he goes into his old playbook to try and force his way out. The difference this time is, he might be going up against the one front office chief more stubborn than he is, and a Riley vs. Butler battle has the potential to get very messy.
