The Juice is no longer loose, but Beetlejuice is about to set free. Michael Keaton returns to play the Ghost with the Most in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, a legacy sequel to 1988’s Beetlejuice. Winona Ryder is also back as Winona Ryder, and now she has a daughter, played by Wednesday‘s Jenna Ortega, who gets mixed up with Beetlejuice after saying his name three times.

Above, you can watch the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice trailer, which includes many callbacks to the original film and first looks at Willem DaFoe and Monica Bellucci’s characters. There should be a new Addams Family movie with those two as Gomez and Morticia Addams (Ortega can play Wednesday).

It’s good to see Keaton and Ryder together again, but the most exciting thing about Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is the use of practical effects. “When you get to do that again after years of standing in front of a giant screen, pretending somebody’s across the way from you, this is just enormous fun,” Keaton told People. “The one thing that [Burton] and I decided early, early, early on from the beginning, if we ever did it again, I was totally not interested in doing something where there was too much technology. It had to feel handmade.”

Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it’s only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, which also stars Catherine O’Hara, Justin Theroux, Arthur Conti, opens in theaters on September 6.

In February, Twenty One Pilots announced Clancy, their seventh studio album. So far, Twenty One Pilots have released videos for “Overcompensate,” “Next Semester,” “Backslide,” and “The Craving.”

The duo comprised of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun announced the supporting 2024-25 The Clancy World Tour on March 27, and the expansive global trek will begin at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado on August 15.

Initially, Clancy was due out on May 17. On April 23, Joseph provided a video update on the album’s release date.

“When I first told Josh and Mark and everyone on our team that I wanted to do a music video for every song on the album, Clancy, that’s coming up, I told him it’s because I love the songs and I believe in them enough to pretend to sing in front of a camera to each one,” Joseph said. “And that’s what we’re going to do because that’s how I want to present this album. But because of that — in order to accomplish that — we need a little bit more time. That’s why I’m making this video. We’re going to push the album back by one week to May 24. Isn’t that exciting? A little more time.”

So, Clancy should be available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, and all DSPs at 9 p.m. PT on Thursday, May 23, and 12 a.m. ET on Friday, May 24.

In late April, RM announced Right Place, Wrong Person, his sophomore solo album.

As of this writing, there is no reason to believe that Right Place, Wrong Person won’t become available to stream on Apple Music, Spotify, and all other DSPs at precisely those times, like most other albums.

After losing in five games to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, the Cleveland Cavaliers are making a change. According to multiple reports, Cleveland has opted to part ways with J.B. Bickerstaff, who has spent the last four full seasons as the team’s head coach and led the Cavs to back-to-back playoff berths.

Not long after the reports hit the internet, Cleveland announced that it had, indeed, decided to let Bickerstaff go.

As for the early names to watch for this vacancy, both Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN and Shams Charania of The Athletic report that Kenny Atkinson will be a candidate. Charania also brought up James Borrego.

Bickerstaff took over in Cleveland in the aftermath of John Beilein’s resignation during the 2019-20 season. The team took strides every year during his time as coach, going from a 22-win team in his first season to winning the first playoff series without LeBron James on the roster in three decades this year. The Cavs went 48-34 during the 2023-24 campaign and knocked off the Orlando Magic in the first round.

In the aftermath of the team’s loss to the Celtics, a piece came out in The Athletic that indicated Bickerstaff’s time in Cleveland might be coming to an end. Now, the team has a vacancy amid a crucial offseason where they’ll need to find a coach, then figure out which members of its core the team wants to build around going forward.

Sufjan Stevens’ 2004 album Seven Swans ranked highly in Uproxx’s ranking of Stevens’ studio albums. Stevens most recently released Javelin last October, but he resurfaced Seven Swans on Thursday, May 23.

Vince Staples’ new album Dark Times is on the way, just a week after the Long Beach rapper announced it. So, when will it be available to stream on DSPs like Apple Music and Spotify?

With a release date of May 24, the album should go live on streaming services at midnight, Eastern, 9 PM, Pacific.

In Vince’s album announcement, he explained its inspirations. “Eleven years ago, a young, uncertain version of myself was given an opportunity with Def Jam Recordings,” he wrote. “I released my first project under their banner, Shyne Coldchain Vol 2, a year later. I was unsure of what to expect from the world of music, but deeply aware of what I needed: a change in my surroundings and a clear understanding of self. Ten years and seven projects later, I’ve found that clarity. Now, I share with you my final Def Jam release, Dark Times.”

Dark Times is part of a busy year for Vince. In February, he launched his Netflix series, The Vince Staples Show, to extremely positive feedback from both fans and critics.

Jennifer Lopez has 20-plus years experience in fielding questions about her relationship with Ben Affleck, but that doesn’t make it any easier — especially now that rumors are flying about whether Affleck and Lopez are headed for divorce.

Lopez was in Mexico promoting her upcoming Netflix movie Atlas when a reporter went rogue and asked Lopez, “Is your divorce with Ben Affleck real?” According to People, the room was “full of astonished press,” likely because it was an unspoken rule that any Affleck questions were off limits.

Glamour Mexico circulated video of the exchange on X (formerly Twitter) showing Simu Liu, Lopez’s Atlas co-star, jumping in to say, “OK, we’re not doing that. Thank you so much, guys. We really appreciate it.” Lopez leaned forward, looked sternly in the off-camera reporter’s direction, and said, “You know better than that.” Liu added, “Don’t come in here with that energy, please.”

Affleck and Lopez, affectionately known as “Bennifer,” rekindled their early-aughts romance three years ago and wed in July 2022.

On May 17, People reported that Affleck and Lopez had been “living separately” in Los Angeles.

People additionally reported on Affleck and Lopez’s status on Wednesday, May 22, citing an unnamed source in saying their marriage “is not in the best place at the moment.” The report detailed that Affleck and Lopez are dealing “with their differing personalities and different views on what to share about their personal lives.”

Another unnamed source said, “I don’t know if they will split, or if this is something they will work through.”

The Simpsons did not predict 9/11, or the Notre Dame fire, or Donald Trump touching a glowing orb. And the animated series definitely didn’t predict “Diddy’s current situation,” as a viral TikTok that shows the rapper, who has been accused of assault by multiple women, running from the cops claims.

The Simpsons co-showrunner Matt Selman blasted the “AI fake” and the whole Simpsons-predicted-it phenomenon.

“In the current era of digital misinformation, The Simpsons ‘predictions’ (or, more accurately, ‘coincidences’) have become meaningless,” he told TMZ. “Any goofball can whip up an AI image based on a current event and say ‘The Simpsons predicted it!’ — and decent-but-easily-misled folks will believe it because they so very want it to be true.”

Selman continued, “If you study history, you will be able to ‘predict’ the future because the foolishness of humanity repeats itself. If you study math, you will know that if the show makes literally tens of thousands of jokes about American society over almost 800 episodes, it would be statistically impossible not to create material that overlaps with what would later happen in real life.”

Either that, or it’s the work of a thousand monkeys working at a thousand typewriters. The blurst of times, indeed.
