Man lists 8 not fun, but very important things you need to start doing as an adult.

Who among us hasn’t come into full adulthood wishing they had known certain things that could have made life so so so much easier in the long run? Choices that, if made, ultimately would have been much better for our well-being…not to mention our wallets.

But then again that is all part of growing older and (hopefully) wiser. However there is something to be said about getting advice from those who’ve been there, rather than learning the hard way every single time.

Thankfully, a man who goes by @johnfluenzer on TikTok has a great list of things young people should start doing once they become adults. Are any of his suggestions fun, cool or trendy? Not at all. But they are most definitely accurate. Just ask any 30+-year-olds who wished they had done at least four of these things.

John started off by saying, “welcome to being an adult. Maybe you weren’t told this by your parents, but this is through my trial and error.”

Listed below are the eight vital things to maintaining a healthy adulthood, that most of us have no idea about until well into adulthood.

1. Getting an annual doctor visit.

annual checkup

This is the bare minimum amount of visits one should be making, according to John. He recommended more if you “have more medical concerns.”

2. Dental visits. For a yearly cleaning at the very least.

dentist near me

“Keep in mind that a $300 cavity can turn into a $1,500 root canal, which can then turn into a $2,000 crown on top of the $1,500 you just paid, so it’s better to just pay the $300 or whatever it is for a cavity, and just get it sorted,” he explained.

As someone with this exact experience (ignored a cavity because she didn’t want to pay $300, only to pay $1500 years later, even with insurance) I can ruefully confirm.

…as can others, judging by the comments sections to John’s video.

“I didn’t go to the dentist for 8 years and now I need a root canal. Learn from my mistakes people,” one person wrote.

Seriously, no amount of flossing and avoiding sugar can make up for a professional cleaning and checkup, folks.

Last note on this subject—John mentioned that if you couldn’t afford to go to a dentist, to check for nearby dental schools that can often perform necessary procedures at a fraction of the cost.

Though he specifically mentioned dental schools in Canada, that is also an option in America. Things I wish I had known as a 20-year-old…

3. Next up, John suggested that if you are sexually active, to get checked for STDs/STIs.

std check, std clinic

“If you’re uncomfortable with your GP, or you don’t have a GP, go to a sexual health clinic…. Just go get tested — it’s better to know,” he said.

4. Get vaccines. “Be up on your vaccines, not just your flu shot.”

vaccine near me

“We’re talking Hep A/Hep B, and also if you’re under 25, get your Gardasil 9. It’s three shots. It prevents the cancer-causing HPV,” he explained.

And while he mostly discussed the free health care options found in Canada, HPV vaccines are covered by most insurances in the US. Plus there are other potentially free/low cost resources, such as the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program for those under 19.

5. Then get a PEP, aka Post-exposure prophylaxis, if you had a “risky sexual encounter” and are worried about having contracted HIV.

pep near me

For this one, time really is of the essence. The sooner a PEP is taken, the more effective it is at preventing HIV, and must be taken within 72 hours of possible exposure to HIV.

Gotta say…list time 3-5 seem particularly important, as many young people are not given thorough sex education.

6. Rent. Everyone’s favorite.

rent prices, apartment near me

John explains that especially in a housing crisis, “your rent should be the first thing you take care of every month.”

“It comes before everything. Now maybe if you have kids and they need to eat, of course, that’s important,” he added. “But a roof over their head is way more important and you do not want to give landlords any excuse to have you evicted. Pay your rent and pay it on time.”

7. Hold onto that cellphone as long as possible.

cheap cellphone, lowering cellphone bill

“I know we all want the new cell phones.Keep your phone as long as possible, OK?” he said. “I don’t care if it’s any iPhone 10, iPhone 8, keep it for as long as possible. Especially if you’re under no contract—you have so much freedom.”

Instead of getting a new phone, John suggested switching providers every month to get special deals and save “$40–50 bucks a month,” which, as we all know, really adds up.

8. Only have one streaming subscription a month.

netflix, hbo, showtime, hulu

This one was admittedly “controversial,” John shared, but in his point of view, it’s a no brainer.

“You don’t need Netflix, Disney, Hulu, whatever… you don’t need them all the same month. January do Netflix, cancel. February do Hulu… All of these different apps, they let you save watchlists, right, like ‘My List.’ And if you cancel your subscription and you restart it two months later, your list is still there. So just save stuff, only pay for it once a month, and try to save some money,” he suggested.

What a wake up call, right? But other hardened adults couldn’t help but agree with John.

“This is very good advice, can confirm (unfortunately) as a fellow adult lol,” one person wrote.

Others appreciated how he took the time to share this list to help younger people avoid some pretty disheartening setbacks.

“I love people like you so much, just her to help others in life. People like you are so important because you didn’t have to make this video but you did.”

You can’t always trust what you hear on TikTok, but John’s advice is sound. What most life hacks seem to have in common, other than a healthy blend of common sense and 20/20 hindsight, is that it puts some form of security at the forefront—not necessarily instant gratification. Fun is so important, but as anyone with experience will tell you, peace of mind is priceless.

Woman offered $200K to sell her dog explains the reason behind her decision

For most dog owners, their pooch is a member of the family, best friend, confidante, and loyal protector. They would never dream of giving their dog away to anyone, let alone selling their pet. However, what if the offer was $200,000?

A TikTokker named Alexis Elliott says she received a “legit” offer of $200,000 for her Doberman pinscher puppy, but refused because she wouldn’t dream of selling her dog.

“Someone offered us $200K for our puppy, and I told my husband ‘absolutely f*cking not,’” the TikToker said. “Would you guys sell your dogs for $200k?” she asks later in the video. “Like, that is my baby! That is my baby. I birthed her. That is my child. Like there is no money, I would not sell her. But it just got me thinking, like, I wonder if people would have taken that 200K?”

After posing the question, Alexis received a lot of responses. Surprisingly, many of them would entertain the $200,000 offer.

Warning: Video contains strong language.

“In this economy? Yes.” one user wrote, and people agreed with them, giving the comment over 8,000 likes. “I would absolutely, without even thinking about it, LMAO,” Maee G added. Others thought that it was morally right to take the money. “It’s a crime to not accept 200k,” Lana said.

One woman tried to alter the deal. “Not my dog but the husband, absolutely,” a user wrote.

About the same number of commenters said they would never sell their dogs, even for $200,000. “A lot of you in these comments don’t deserve a dog,” Adero_77 wrote. “Omg never. The thought of my dog being confused and feeling abandoned breaks my heart,” Julie added.

“One time, someone asked my brother if he would sell his puppy. My brother answered, ‘No, I’d rather have an empty wallet than an empty house,’” Tracy Laguna wrote.

One person responded to the video with a funny clip of their dog waiting on the curb with a suitcase. “For 200k, damn!” I am Yelitzii captioned the video.

@iamyelitzii

#stitch with @Alexis For 200k damn 😂

Some believe that if their dog went to live with someone with $200k to spend on them, it would probably be living in a better place. “If they’re offering $200k they can clearly provide him a better life than I can! This is best for both of us,” Clutch Grabs wrote. “Listen, with that type of money, me & my dog would live our best lives… separately,” Jasmine added.

Those who said would never sell their dogs because it would cause them distress are correct. “Yes, your dog will miss you when you give them away,” Preventive Vet wrote on its blog. However, dogs can adapt to a new family situation. “It is normal for a dog to grieve the loss of their previous family and go through an acclimation period in their new home,” the blog continues. “While they may miss you, if they are in a caring environment and their needs are being met, they will do well.”

After his daughter was born with the ‘wrong’ eye and hair color, a dad demanded a DNA test

The presumed father of a newborn baby was skeptical of his paternity after the baby girl was born with blonde hair and blue eyes. He and his wife of two years have brown hair and brown eyes, so he thought there was no chance it was his child.

The wife reassured her husband that they could have a blonde-haired, blue-eyed baby and that, quite often, a baby’s hair and eye color can change over time.

But the husband “freaked out at this and refused to listen,” the wife wrote in a viral post on Reddit’s AITA page. Instead, he “demanded a paternity test and threatened to divorce me if I didn’t comply, so I did.”

The man was so confident that after the baby was born, he moved into his mother’s house while he awaited the results of the DNA test. The wife stayed home with the baby and was helped through the first few weeks by her sister.

To make things worse, the wife’s mother-in-law began to make threats. “My MIL called and informed me that if the paternity test revealed that the child wasn’t his, she would do anything within her power to make sure that I was ‘taken to the cleaners’ during the divorce,” the mom shared on Reddit.

Finally, three weeks after the child was born, the DNA test results arrived and the husband came home to read them with his wife. “I was on the couch in the living room, so he sat next to me and we started to read the results,” she wrote. “They showed that he was the father and my husband had this shocked, kinda mortified look on his face with his eyes wide as he stared at it.”

dad dna test, paternity test, you are the father

The wife said, “I told you so,” and laughed in his face. In the post, the wife also notes she has “zero history” of cheating.

Although it is rare for two people with brown eyes and brown hair to have a blue-eyed, blonde-haired baby, it is entirely possible. According to Verywell Health, there is a 19% chance that a couple with brown eyes can have a blue-eyed baby. And, as the wife noted earlier, a baby’s eye color can change over its first year of life.

Further, two people with brown hair can have a blonde-haired child if both parents carry the recessive gene for blonde hair. The blonde hair may darken over time as well.

dna, dna strand, dna test

If the father had done a quick Google search on the topic, he would have quickly realized that there was a very strong case that he was the father and the drama could have stopped before any damage was done to the marriage.

The positive part of this story is that the wife’s post on Reddit earned her a ton of support from people who thought her husband’s antics were utterly inappropriate. The support probably also helped to put her husband’s wild antics into perspective while she determined their future. The wife felt bad about laughing at her husband, but most people thought it was appropriate, given her husband’s behavior.

“Not only doesn’t he have a basic grasp of genetics, he threw a tantrum and left you immediately after having the baby to struggle alone for almost a month,” CrystalQueen3000 commented. “He’s lucky all you did was laugh in his face.”

A lot of commenters thought that the woman should leave her husband for accusing her of cheating and leaving her alone with the child.

“Honestly, if my husband left me for weeks after giving birth due to a faint assumption like this, I would be done. I can’t be together with someone who abandoned me when I needed them desperately,” Matakakiba wrote.

Therapist lists ‘green flags’ women look for when visiting a potential partner’s home

When looking for a potential mate people often talk about the different types of “flags” that can be present. Generally, red flags mean you should stop or proceed with caution while watching for other red flags, while green flags are a sign of positive things. Jeff Guenther, LPC goes by the name of TherapyJeff on social media.

The therapist recently asked the women in his audience about “automatic green flags” they look for when visiting a man’s apartment for the first time. They do not disappoint. Guenther takes the top 12 answers and compiles them into a list to help out his fellow guys who may be struggling.

Seemingly predicting that some men may swipe away, he informs them that these are changes they can make before the day is over. The list is quite simple and may encourage people to attempt to have at least one of them available in their home before their next date.

Coming in with something that seems unassuming, Guenther says guys should install a bidet.

“12, a bidet. Buy one online and hook it up to your toilet, ladies love it but it will also change your life forever. Trust me,” the therapist says.

The list includes other simple things like a throw blanket on your couch, a hairless bathroom counter, and sheets that are any other color outside of black or navy. Judging by the comment section, women are not only appreciative of Guenther taking the time to compile a list but they’re also adding additional green flags.

Would you add anything to the list? Check it out:

@therapyjeff

Green flags women look for when entering a guy’s place for the first time. #mentalhealth #therapy #relationshiptips #datingadvice #dating #greenflags

“BAR SOOO. LOW. If one of my female friends couldn’t check all of these boxes I would question their sanity. But collectively most sis[sic] hetero dudes have kept the bar so low that these are green flags,” one woman complains.

“This list is fascinating (omg why is there never a trash can in the bathroom!!),” another woman says.

“It’s a green flag for me when they have like, any sort of personal items on display. Like cards, framed pictures, decorations or gifts, souvenirs, etc…reminders of good times/friends/family,” someone writes.

“A book clearly in the process of reading (either real or ebook). Library card in a visible place–GOLD flag,” another person shares.

Several men in the comments are excitedly expressing that they didn’t know they were already giving off all these green flags based on the list. Some talk about being passionate cat dads while at least one man was anxiously awaiting Godzilla figurines to make the list. Overall it seems that nearly everyone in the comments was appreciative of the list and who knows, maybe he’ll do one for green flags guys should look out for.

Interracial and intercultural couples share the biggest things they had to get used to

Humanity in general has come a long way when it comes to interracial relationships. It used to be that interracial marriage was deemed wrong and even illegal in some U.S. states, but with the world continually shrinking due to transportation and technology advances, we increasingly see more interracial and intercultural relationships more often.

But the broad social embrace of cross-cultural love doesn’t mean it’s challenge-free. Norms, expectations and traditions can vary widely between people from different backgrounds, and sometimes those differences can create some surprising—and sometimes hilarious—misunderstandings. Interracial and intercultural relationships come with some specific challenges, but navigating those challenges successfully can help build unity and understanding between individuals, families and ultimately society.

A Reddit user asked, “Interracial couples of Reddit, what was the biggest difference you had to get used to?” and people shared stories that celebrate the unexpected elements of their partners’ racial and cultural realities that they learned to adjust to.

The dishwasher that isn’t used to wash dishes

“The dishwasher being used as a drying rack and not to actually wash dishes.”Lucky_Extent8765

“Dude wtf Latina girlfriend just dropped this bomb on me.

‘We don’t trust machines like that’

‘Ok but you just put our clothes in the washing machine and started it though…’”Worldly_Collection27

“Had a Latina friend who I was ‘talking to’ but never actually ended up dating, had her, her friend, and a couple of others over for dinner and her and her friend offered to help with the dishes, they ended up hand washing everything and drying it in the dishwasher. I told them the dishwasher works fine and they were like ‘we don’t do that in South American families.’ “– Particular_Fan_3645

The intricacies of hair care

“I’m a white dude married to a black woman. I had no idea about the whole culture of hair upkeep for black women. How much it costs. How much time it takes. How much it’s a connection point for her and other women.

Interestingly, what was a bigger adjustment had nothing to do with race. I’m an only child and she is one of five so obviously the family dynamics are quite different.

Next month we will be married for 24 years so I guess it’s all good.”loudnate0701

“When I met my wife she had short straight hair and had been relaxing/straightening it pretty much her whole life. 6 years ago she decided she wanted to go natural and started to grow it out. She started getting it braided professionally and whenever she’d get new braids I’d basically have an entire weekend day to myself, it would take 8-10 hours. But eventually she wanted to do natural locs and wanted to do them herself. It was a challenge for a while but now her natural hair is down to her shoulders & locked. She washes her hair every 2-3 weeks and when she decides to do that it’s literally a 6 hour process between washing, re-twisting & drying.

But yeah, the time spent when she was getting it braided and the money spent on different products/bonnets was wild to me lol.”Zealousideal-Life868

“My story is how this could’ve gone awry:

We went on our first date and hit it way off. She had kind of a shorter bob thing going, relaxed/straightened. Super cute. Anyway, I ask her for a second date and she tells me she has a hair appointment that day. I go okay well, so how about after…if it’s at noon, surely we can have dinner?

Long story short, I was butthurt thinking she was blowing me off with a cheap excuse because I was entirely unaware of getting her hair done means PTO at work. She, on the other hand, naturally never considered I wouldn’t really know about that and was baffled and annoyed when I wrote her a slightly sulky “well it’s fine I just thought we…bla bla” message.

We somehow ended up landing on mutual ground and after about a two hour conversation explaining the colossal undertaking that is getting braids laterI felt like a straight jackass 😅.

We’re still together and happy and I’ve named her head scarf Toni.”NosferatuCalled

The social expectations at family gatherings

An ex was Latina, and while there really weren’t any “social” things that were new getting used to her family dynamic took some adjusting because they were very close and involved in each other’s lives so it was normal for the weekends inevitable BBQ to be something I was expected to be present for if she was going, because otherwise 16+ people would grill her about me not coming.” blahbabooey

“Yes! My husband is Dominican and I’m white and his family NEEDS me at every function, no matter what. Or when his mom calls, I can always hear her asking if I’m close by. And my husband is kinda like that too, he doesn’t wanna do anything without me and I’m more okay with being solo and staying home once in awhile.”Both_Dust_8383

“Have ever tried refusing food? Or that one shot of tequila being passed around? How about that “one more dance”? Have you ever forgotten to say good bye to everyone individually at least twice before leaving? Cause it sounds like you’re me lol. Married 20 years to my wife though. It never changes.”JnyBlkLabel

“I didn’t eat at my husband’s grandma’s house once (in the Dominican Republic) cuz there was no ac, it was summer, and I had just broken a rib 5 days before our trip. I was in bad pain and sooooooo hot, I could not eat!!! But did it break abuelas heart??? Absolutely. It was tough.”Both_Dust_8383

When no means yes and you’re supposed to keep asking

“I was born and raised in the Netherlands (I’m half Italian half Indonesian but did not grow up with those cultures at home except a little). My girlfriend is Persian.

In the Netherlands, or at least in my experience, when people say no to something, then they mean no. While apparently for persians it’s seen as polite to decline at least the first offer, often also the second even if you actually really want.

So for example, If she would offer me a cookie and i’d say no, She would ask another 3 times before letting it go, which was cute but also annoying. Meanwhile when i offer her a cookie and she says no. I just quit asking and then she gets a little mad that i didn’t ask her a couple of times more.

It’s not like the biggest difference or anything but it’s a cute, and in the beginning, a very confusing difference.”LokMatrona

“Haha, we have the same thing in Ireland – if you’re offered food, drink, etc, you’re expected to say no the first couple of times. My mother in law thought her English nieces and nephews were ‘a bit forward’ because if she’s offer them a cup of tea they’d say ‘Yes please, that would be lovely.’” MichaSound

“My wife is Persian and I’m English. The craziest thing she told me is if you’re a guest in your host’s house and you compliment some object in their house, the rules of hospitality require them to offer it to you. So you may say, ‘Wow I love that mirror!’ and they will say ‘Please, have it!’ You will of course refuse, but they will vehemently insist that you take it. This back-and-forth can go on for some time (despite the ironic truth that you absolutely do not want to take it, and they absolutely do not want to give it to you).” th1sishappening

Learning about one another’s popular culture

“My partner is from California, I’m from Singapore. I think the biggest difference is popular culture — everything from your childhood tv shows, the iconic music of your teens, even your education system, is going to be different. You cannot expect your partner to know what Mr. Rogers is/have watched XYZ cartoon. All assumptions have to be thrown out of the window.

I think it’s a good thing tbh, you start from zero. It makes you completely aware of how vast the world around you is, and I keep learning new things everyday. Just yesterday I learned that in California, there’s a mascot called Smokey Bear that taught kids about forest fires. In turn, I told her about Singa the Courtesy Lion, which is a mascot to teach people courtesy/good manners. We had an entire discussion about mascots and teaching populations, and it was so fascinating. This happens so much that sometimes we can’t stop talking to each other lol”kafetheresu

“Bit of that with my wife. She was born in China but moved to Canada from age 9 to 19, then back to China again. So there’s some overlap for that middle period, but that early childhood stuff is very different. Was fun though when she met my brother’s girlfriend from Ukraine and they bonded over having both watched the same old Soviet cartoons as kids.”Cinquedea19

“I’m from Texas and my wife is from Nigeria. We also have this dynamic!! It’s pretty beautiful to learn about a whole other culture/way of life. One challenge is our families are across the world from each other.”PositionLogical2342

Is Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter Tour’ A Las Vegas Residency?

beyonce
Getty Image

Beyoncé nearly caused the world to stop yet again. This time, it isn’t the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer’s doing.

Today (June 2), Live Nation resparked rumors that Beyoncé will hit the road soon. Following the release of her latest album, Cowboy Carter (Renaissance Act II), fans began to prepare their Western outfit for a potential world tour.

Based on a post from the event promotion company, their efforts weren’t in vain. Continue below for more information.

Is Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter Tour’ A Las Vegas Residency?

On June 2, Live Nation took to their Las Vegas division’s official Instagram page to tease that a good ole rodeo would be headed to Sin City. “Vegas, hold your horses…wild horses, that is! Big announcement coming tomorrow,” wrote the company.

Immediately after the teaser was shared, the Beyhive swung into full action. Many jumped for joy at the thought of Beyoncé in Las Vegas (specifically The Sphere).

However, after the superfans did a bit more digging, their hopes were shattered when others claimed that the silhouette in the image might actually be Lainey Wilson.

A post the day prior showed on the company’s main page of Wilson’s Country’s Cool Again Tour seemingly confirmed users’ theory.

It doesn’t seem that there is any truth to the Beyoncé Las Vegas residency rumor. But don’t give up hope completely. Back in March, The-Dream hinted that a Cowboy Carter Tour was certainly in the works.

What Did BIA Say About Cardi B On Her Diss Song ‘Sue Meee?’

The next track-for-track rap beef is on the grill. Cardi B and BIA’s once subtle online dust ups have now become full-on diss records.

On May 31, Cardi B took the first direct shots on GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Wanna Be” remix. Today (June 2), after teasing a snippet on Instagram Live, BIA dropped the official audio to her response record, “Sue Meee?,” despite Cardi B’s threat of legal action.

So, what exactly did BIA say on the record? Continue below for more information.

What Did BIA Say About Cardi B On Her Diss Song “Sue Meee?”

Before BIA even rapped, she subtly shaded Cardi with stock audio, referring to Cardi B previously recording and sharing private telephone conversations online, reportedly including their exchange.

In the record’s opening, BIA, claimed that Cardi cheated on her husband Offset, speculated about her alleged gang affiliation, and subtly mentioned her best friend Star Brim.

“You a f*ck girl I see right through yah / Put it on your gang that they didn’t f*ck you in / Put it on your name since you so gangsta like your f*cking friends / Put it on your hubby since you love lying on your f*cking vows / I write all my verses I can do this sh*t for hours”

Then, BIA clowned Cardi for staying with her husband after he supposedly had sex with another woman in their shared home. She also attempted to poked fun at Cardi for allegedly out earning Offset.

“I’ll be damned if I let a n**** f*ck a b*tch inside my house / Your money long and you split that / Your n**** saying, ‘That’s ours’”

Next, BIA take aim at Cardi’s past cosmetic procedures and self-esteem while naming dropping her children, daughter Kulture and son Wave (who she shares with Offset).

“Put it on God that you ain’t change your face to mine / I’ll get on your ass hoe I don’t have to waste no time / Say you love yourself, but you won’t put that on your kids / All that surgery and how your body look so mid / Thought your ass was for the culture (Kulture) / You just trying to ride the wave (Wave) / You should be home with your kids ’cause you speak like second grade”

Lastly, she referenced Cardi B using outside songwriters such as Pardison Fontaine to allegedly write her biggest records.

“C-A-R-D, cry on IG / Catch another ‘tude ’cause she couldn’t catch a beat / Do I beef with you are beef with Pardi (Pardison Fontaine) / You been scrapping projects since 2019 / Weak ass b*tch

There’s a whole lotta drama online between Cardi B and BIA. For well over a year, the pair has exchanged subtle jabs online. On May 31, their tension was officially transferred to wax.

Cardi B fired off at BIA in her guest verse on GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion’sWanna Be” remix. Today (June 2), BIA responded with a track of her own, “Sue Meee.” The night before its release, BIA teased a shady unreleased song on Instagram Live.

Shortly after gaining wind of BIA’s lines, Cardi B took to her page to clap back and even threatened to take legal action over BIA’s accusations of adultery and supposedly spreading a fake sex tape.

“I’m a sue you and you got to come with receipts,” Cardi said. “And not social media receipts, court receipts. I will get every little f*cking red penny that you ever f*cking make b*tch. Every money that you make off your publishing. So find something safe to do.”

BIA laughed off Cardi’s legal plan in the caption of her upload. “Sue me,” she wrote. “That’s not hip hop 😂.”

Cardi B claimed that BIA took to her private Instagram page to post a story, saying she isn’t afraid to face litigation: “Good luck you think I’m Tasha K.”

“Girl. Ask Tasha K. She couldn’t even lie on my p*ssy,” replied Cardi.

Adele Slams Fan For Their Anti-LGBTQ Remark During Her Las Vegas Show: ‘Are You F*cking Stupid’

Adele Hyde Park 2022
Getty Image / Gareth Cattermole

In her music, Adele’s willing to set fire to the rain. But at her live shows, she’s prepared to go full scorched-earth.

Yesterday (June 1), the “Water Under The Bridge” singer showed off her fiery side during her latest Weekends with Adele residency performance. While chatting with the Las Vegas crowd, a concertgoer supposedly yelled out: “Pride Month sucks.”

After processing what was said, Adele turned to the individual to slam them for their seemingly anti-LGBTQ remarks. “Did you come to my f*cking show and just say that Pride sucks,” she said. “Are you f*cking stupid? Don’t be so f*cking ridiculous. If you have nothing nice to say, shut up, alright?”

Before Adele transitioned back into the show, other attendees chimed in. In the now viral clip, one individual can be heard saying, “We should jump them.”

Now, users online had begun to share their thoughts around the incident.

“To have ADELE of all people go off on you means you REALLY said something wrong,” wrote one user. “To be homophobic during Pride Month too is ridiculous. In the year of 2024 too. Smh.”

“I love Adele for this,” penned another. “Why do people love to say cruel things like this? It’s so uncalled for and disgusting.”

Adele hasn’t commented further on the exchange.

What’s Popular On Streaming Now

hacks-s3-finale
Max

Every single week, our TV and film experts will list the most important ten streaming selections for you to pop into your queues. We’re not strictly operating upon reviews or accrued streaming clicks (although yes, we’ve scoured the streaming site charts) but, instead, upon those selections that are really worth noticing amid the churning sea of content. There’s a lot out there, after all, and your time is valuable.

10. Challengers (MGM movie on VOD & Amazon)

Luca Guadagnino excels at serving up sensual subject matter that stokes several varieties of tension at once (that poor peach) while masterfully declining to deliver the expected outcome of those tantalizing teases. This intense sports drama did, intentionally of course, earn the reputation of being Zendaya’s “threesome” movie although the movie doesn’t actually contain a threesome scene. The cast, however, is phenomenal with the leading trio including Art (Mike Faist), whose rivalry with Patrick (Josh O’Connor) is reignited after the former gets the lady. That lady would be Tashi, who is a force of controlling nature and suffers the most gut-wrenching tennis injury shown onscreen but doesn’t let that dampen her explosive potential.

9. Outer Range (Prime Video/Amazon series)

Josh Brolin has returned to the role that his entire career has been building towards: Royal Abbott, the grumpy-ass, time-traveling rancher whose little world got shaken up by the arrival of the mysterious Autumn (Imogen Poots), but is she good or bad chaotic? You will see. Meanwhile, Deputy Sheriff Joy (Tamara Podemski)’s entire worldview gets turned upside down as she becomes a larger piece of this mystical puzzle woven by that Void. The season ends with even more questions than which it began, so here’s to hoping for a third-season renewal.

8. Civil War (A24 movie on VOD & Amazon)

Alex Garland’s final directorial effort (for the foreseeable future) scored well for A24 at the box office and is popping on the VOD charts, too. Eventually, the movie will hit Max as part of the streamer’s agreement with the indie production house, but perhaps a certain set of trending subjects on Twitter/X will send this frightening movie — starring Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny, and an unsettling Jesse Plemons — into even more home theaters over the next few weeks. Stay tuned there.

7. Bodkin (Netflix series)

Will Forte headlines in this series that got steamrolled (attention wise) by Baby Reindeer and Bridgerton‘s popularity, but this first dramatic TV series effort from Higher Ground (Michelle and Barack Obama’s production house) deserves a circle-back approach if you have the viewing bandwidth. Those who adore Only Murders In The Building will love this Irish spin on podcasters taking on detective roles in this series created by Jen Scharf. The show will never displace Only Murders, but this new show crackles with dark humor and also stars Siobhán Cullen and Robyn Cara.

6. Baby Reindeer (Netflix series)

This show simply will not stop riding the top of Netflix’s charts, and surely, creator, writer, and star Richard Gadd never expected to land on the all-time Top 10 list, which is due to happen pretty damn soon. In other words, watch out Bridgerton, Stranger Things, and Wednesday. Meanwhile, Gadd is moving past the trauma of his past to work on his next project, Lions, in which he will not star but will still no doubt compel viewers. If you haven’t caught Baby Reindeer yet, know that it’s an intense and stressful watch, and it’s not exactly a true-crime series, but the public’s fascination with the based-on-real-life story could arguably qualify it as such.

5. Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies, And Scandal (Netflix documentary)

Nine years ago, a still-unidentified group known as the Impact Team hacked the infamous cheating website and released the email addresses and personal information of millions of subscribers. The collateral damage was immense, and that includes plenty of divorces and even a death as detailed in this series. The most heavily featured case of this season involves married Christian vlogging couple Sam and Nia Rader, who found their lives upended a number of times due to an unending supply of lies by Sam, and they’re one of the “luckier” pairs among the hacking subjects.

4. Under The Bridge ( Hulu series)

Riley Keough unpacked the finale of this limited series for UPROXX this week, and this series also lands on our list of Best True Crime shows. The limited series adapts Rebecca Godfrey’s (portrayed by Keough) book about her efforts to track down a murder whose heinous acts wreaked havoc on a small Canadian town. Lily Gladstone portrays a cop also on the search for justice for a missing girl’s family. A little bit of True Detective vibes adds more fuel for a show with heavy subject matter that propels itself like the two lead investigators do: with dogged determination.

3. Tires (Netflix series)

A second season is already on the way for this very differently-located workplace comedy starring Shane Gillis. The comedian portrays a cousin, coworker, and thorn in the side of Will (Steven Gerben), who has inherited his father’s auto-repair business and is struggling to make it work. The show somehow managed to stand out as an example of counterprogramming amid a sea of Bridgerton seasons dominating Netflix at present.

2. Bridgerton (Netflix series)

Somehow, this series has never been hotter with Netflix racking up endless rewatches of the first two seasons and the Queen Charlotte spin off. Thus far, the first half of the season has delivered on the Carriage Scene promise, but what will come in the next four episodes? Shondaland will not disappoint viewers who adore seeing Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton together, but the Lady Whistledown secret lingers over the entire show.

1. Hacks (Max series)

The tables have truly turned between Ava and Deborah after the final moments of the season showed that the 20-something writer has learned the best and worst methods of her mentor. Max already renewed for a fourth season after this series hit its highest viewership numbers over the past month, and Deborah has suddenly been informed that Ava is really and truly her match. Let the delicious chaos and fallout flow.
