Zach Bryan is in the thick of his Quittin’ Time Tour, and it might the most falsely advertised tour of 2024 because Bryan does not know how to quit. The country star dropped The Great American Bar Scene on Thursday, July 4 (very on the nose, Zach), which is his third studio album release since May 2022. The LP is stuffed with 19 songs, including “Sandpaper” featuring Bruce Springsteen.
In late March, Springsteen surprised everyone and performed “Sandpaper” with Bryan during Bryan’s Quittin’ Time Tour show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
“Winter was a drag / But spring was a friend / I’ll love you ’til the summer comes back again,” Bryan and Springsteen sing in the song about stubborn, undying love. Billboard‘s Melinda Newman pointed out that the “Sandpaper” beat is eerily similar to Springsteen’s 1984 song “I’m On Fire,” so now I can’t unhear that. Basically, “Sandpaper” is peak Americana.
Bryan’s The Great American Bar Scene also features John Mayer and John Moreland.
“This record tested the hell out of me, and I failed most days it did, but we finally made it,” Bryan wrote on Instagram. “I’m glad this chapter happened, but I’m more glad that it’s coming to an end. Happy Fourth of July to the best people in the world. How lucky are we?”
David Boreanz knows TV longevity. He’s followed up his Bones and Buffy stints with a long run on a Dad TV staple that will soon be ending its military-based tour. This series also fits perfectly into the Paramount+ library after several seasons on CBS, and now, the seventh season will take these members of U.S. Navy’s elite force home (actually, the opposite of home).
By the way, if you know anybody (including any dad) who needs/wants to catch up on the sixth season and hasn’t done so yet, that entire season is streaming for free courtesy of Paramount+. Beyond that, a final mission is now at hand for Bravo Team, which is all in, all the time, so the show has undoubtedly planned to do the same with a proper ending. Let’s talk about what to expect from this seventh season.
Plot
There’s a “[r]eckoning upon us,” according to Boreanaz in an Instagram post from earlier this year regarding Season 7. That declaration followed Fall 2023’s confirmation that this would be the final season, and filming began in January to wrap up the story with assumptions that the previously announced movie was either not happening or in limbo. Deadline’s Nellie Andreeva previously reported that “I hear the movie is not dead but there has been no talk about it over the last year and it seems to be on the back burner and not in active development at the moment,” yet Deadline’s Peter White followed up with confirmation that the movie did indeed get the ax.
So, the seventh season will contain the team’s final mission(s), and Paramount+ ponied up a synopsis that promises a crescendo:
At a moment’s notice, Bravo Team is ripped from their families and deployed across the globe to help the United States compete against foreign superpowers. As the military landscape shifts, personal lives, teammates and priorities change too, setting the stage for an emotional ending. Don’t miss Bravo Team’s dramatic farewell.
Where does this story pick up? As viewers will recall, Special Warfare Operator First Class Clay Spenser (Max Thieriot) passed away at the end of the sixth season, and Theriot revealed that no plans existed for him to return in flashback mode. This death, however, will likely bring the series’ momentum full circle in a way, given that Boreanaz’s Master Chief Special Warfare Operator had previously been propelled into action while grieving the death of another teammate. As well, plenty of questions now surround Bravo’s future, considering the trauma that they had endured throughout their tours.
With the return of the show, however, and as the synopsis revealed, they are back in action. Thieriot additionally revealed that filming was set to happen in Colombia, and part of his late character’s energy will be filled by Drew Franklin, portrayed by Beau Knapp, “a smooth talker” who will be “a sign of [Bravo Team’s] “problem-child status in the eyes of the DEVGRU powers that be.” Yup, the stakes shall remain high until this series bids farewell to Bravo.
Exec producers Spencer Hudnut and Christopher Chulack are disappointed that the show is coming to an end but grateful for their time spent telling armed-services members’ stories of bravery. In a statement (via TV Line), the duo suggested they are now asking viewers to carry on those duties:
“We are deeply grateful to our amazing group of actors, writers, directors and talented crew, especially the hundreds of veterans who have worked on this show. While we wish we could continue to shine a spotlight on areas where we can do better for our service members even after Season 7 comes to an end, it is our hope that the collective SEAL Team community will stay in the fight when it comes to protecting our protectors.”
Cast
Boreanz is still on top, for now. The series co-stars A.J. Buckley, Jessica Paré, Raffi Barsoumian, Neil Brown Jr., and Toni Trucks. Max Theiriot will obviously not be back as Clay, but Beau Knapp joins the cast for this final round.

As promised, this sure looks emotional, not to mention momentous. Not only is there a “new era of warfare” uttered but also a “welcome to the jungle.”
He’s a credited writer on The Emoji Movie (one of the creatively bankrupt films of the 2010s), as well as the sixth Minions movie, but he also wrote the endlessly watchable School of Rock and created two of HBO’s best shows in recent memory: Enlightened and The White Lotus. The former ran for two razor-sharp seasons (seriously, it’s great), while the latter is returning for season 3 next year with a new setting, new cast, and new memes.
Here’s everything we know about The White Lotus season 3, including plot details and when it’s expected to premiere.
Plot
If the theme of The White Lotus season 1 had to be summed up in one word, it would be “money.” Season 2? “Sex.” For season 3, which is set at a White Lotus in Thailand, it could be “spirituality.” Back in 2022, creator Mike White told Variety, “I think the third season would be maybe a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality. It feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at White Lotus.” That appears to still be the case.
“[Season 3 is] an exploration about spirituality versus the ego,” said HBO head of drama Francesca Orsi. “And it’s set against the Eastern religion. But beyond that, I can’t really speak to some of the character ideas that Mike has.”
The new characters in the “longer, bigger, crazier” season include “a patriarch, a female corporate executive, an actress, a couple of mothers, a country club wife, a misfit, and a yogi.” Maybe it will be a murder mystery, like Clue?
Cast
Season 1 star Alexandra Daddario makes The White Lotus sound like the world’s best job, and Mike White has assembled a stacked ensemble.
First off, there’s Carrie Coon and Walton Goggins, both of whom turn me into the little girl from Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood every time I see them in something. There’s also Leslie Bibb, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Dom Hetrakul, Tayme Thapthimthong, Christian Friedel, Morgana O’Reilly, Lek Patravadi, Shalini Peiris, Aimee Lou Wood, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, Sam Nivola, Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Scott Glenn, and Blackpink’s Lisa Manobal. Now that’s a cast.
But wait, there’s more! Jennifer Coolidge won’t be back for… reasons (unless it’s in twin form). “People are asking me if I’m in it. I can honestly say, to this moment, no one has even mentioned it to me,” she told Today. “I think I’m dead. I think I’m dead right now and may be dead forever.” However, Natasha Rothwell will reprise her role as spa manager Belinda from season 1.
Over the weekend, gymnasts Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, Suni Lee, Jade Carey, and Hezly Rivera punched their tickets to represent the United States at the fast-approaching 2024 Paris Olympics. Chiles celebrated her qualification with a shout-out to Megan Thee Stallion, saying, “Megan, I’m going to the ‘Ahh’ Olympics!” Meg reposted the video on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “my girllll [four blue heart emojis].”
But that wasn’t the extent of her support.
On Wednesday, July 3, Chiles posted a video to her Instagram Story showing that Megan Thee Stallion had sent her a bouquet of flowers along with a message card reading, “Congratulations on qualifying for the AHH-lympics! Very excited to watch you shine in Paris and represent for all the Hot Girls!”
Chiles wrote atop the video, “@theestallion I’m literally crying [two crying emojis] friend thank you so much these flowers are so beautiful!!!”

In May, Joshua Bassett released “The Golden Years,” the lead single from debut studio album of the same name due out on July 26. In the song, Bassett wistfully recalls a past romance and admits, “I’m terrified I’ll never find a love like yours.”
Luckily, Bassett has found eternal love in Jesus Christ.
“Some people think I lost my mind,” Bassett said during an appearance with Josh “Bru” Brubaker. “Some people think I was brainwashed. Some people think, you know, a lot of different things, and I get that because when it comes to Jesus, I was so against that. I thought everyone who followed Him was crazy and wrong and whatnot. And then, I had literal, personal encounters with Jesus. Like, insane, life-changing stuff.”
The former High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star continued, “I was reading all these books and trying to find that answer to life and why are we here — looking for that love — and every single time I felt like I was getting progress, but I was actually reaching a dead-end, and I was even more and more depressed and more and more addicted. I fell into these holes, and I just wasn’t feeling that peace until I literally had the most insane encounter with Jesus ever, and then I finally felt the peace that I was always looking for.”
Unfortunately, for our purposes, Bassett did not expound on what happened when he met Jesus, but he expressed that he’s “trying to find the balance” between proudly sharing his newfound faith without becoming the type of person he used to resent. He’ll be able to spread the good word during his The Golden Years Tour, beginning later this month.

Last week, Lamar filmed his forthcoming “Not Like Us” video in his hometown Compton, California. The highly anticipated video does not have a firm release date, but the internet is rumbling.
On Wednesday night, July 3, photos began circulating on social media teasing Lamar’s “Not Like Us” video, including a shot of Lamar obliterating an owl piñata with the message, “DISCLAIMER: NO OVH*ES WERE HARMED DURING THE MAKING OF THIS VIDEO” — a reference to the “Not Like Us” bridge mocking Drake’s OVO. There is also a photo of Lamar posing alongside Whitney Alford, his longtime partner, and their two children.
Earlier this week, an “Us” billboard from The Pop Out popped up in Inglewood, California, using a photo of Lamar on stage with everyone he brought together for what he called an “emotional” night.
Paul George’s time with the Los Angeles Clippers game to an end this week. After all of last season came and went without the two sides agreeing to a contract extension, the team put out a statement early on in the free agency period announcing that he would not return — George ended up getting a 4-year max deal from the Philadelphia 76ers.
Reports indicate that there was a path for George to end up on the Golden State Warriors via a sign-and-trade where he would end up getting that max deal, it just never materialized, with the Clippers having reservations about taking back long-term money. And as it turns out, Draymond Green isn’t especially happy about this, which he dove into on his podcast.
“Paul George’s tenure there, as far as All-NBAs and All-Stars, is not too far off for what the best Clippers of all time,” Green said. “And to not be willing to play ball on a sign-and-trade where he wants to go — for, it is what it is, one of the best players in your organization’s history, I just don’t really wanna hear people saying, like, ‘Oh, that guy wasn’t loyal.’”
Green pointed to other instances of players being accused of not being loyal, then made it a point to say that this is a two-way street.
“Most of these organizations ain’t loyal,” Green said. “So, when everybody goes on Twitter, oh, this guy ain’t that — stop it. This is not a loyal business. Because you have players sometimes that wanna do what they think is best for them, and teams aren’t really willing to play ball. And when you’re willing to take nothing as opposed to someone, no one talk loyalty.”
It’s probably worth mentioning, of course, that no one would have benefitted more from George getting that sign-and-trade than Green. Still, with how the Warriors just saw Klay Thompson leave in a sign-and-trade of his own, it makes sense why Green (and anyone else with the team) would be upset about this.
Ice Spice’s 2024 BET Awards performance generated headlines, but it hasn’t taken long for people to shift from reacting to her public performance to speculating about her private life. Ice Spice had been linked to Lil Tjay, but she has been spotted with a different rapper.
Are Central Cee And Ice Spice Dating?
According to several social media accounts, such as Pop Crave and DJ Akademiks, Central Cee and Ice Spice were recently together in London for what appears to be an innocent shopping spree. Of course, when you’re famous rappers in your early-to-mid twenties, hanging out publicly is done at the risk of reckless speculation, as is the case here.
To answer the question, there is no concrete evidence to suggest that Central Cee and Ice Spice are dating — and it is kind of antiquated to assume that a man and woman are romantically involved just because they’re hanging out — but it is within the vast realm of possibilities that they are.
“We’ve become good friends over the past year ever since he hopped on ‘Munch [Remix],’” Ice Spice said, “but we’re gonna drop something new and exciting when we’re ready.”
Central Cee added, “She reminds me of me a bit. She’s just cool innit. Humble, down to earth, don’t really care too much about the shiny stuff; but also knows how to play the game. And you can hear that in the music, and see that in the moves that she makes, and I appreciate that because some people don’t really know what they’re doing, and they take it for granted or they don’t take the opportunity and run with it, but she’s really running with it right now.”
The VIP tent was overflowing at Taylor Swift’s recent three-day The Eras Tour stint at Wembley Stadium in London, including Prince William, Tom Cruise, Hugh Grant, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and Greta Gerwig. Travis Kelce, Swift’s boyfriend of nearly a year, socialized with all of the above, but he hopes that his The Eras Tour debut caught the eye of a different actor who was not in attendance.
“It’s such a fan, playful part of the show, and it was the perfect time for me to go up there [and] just be a ham,” Kelce said on Wednesday’s (July 3) episode of New Heights, referencing his performance as a backup dancer to tee up Swift for “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.”
The Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro tight end and three-time Super Bowl champion added, “I always wanted to pull out this move, but I never knew when I should pull it out — like, an area where it made sense — and it was the Dumb And Dumber Jim Carrey, him like doing tap dances. That’s one of my favorite moves of all time.”

The day after the show, Swift posted on Instagram that she was still “cracking up/swooning over” Kelce’s The Eras Tour debut.
Swift will next bring The Eras Tour to Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam from July 4-6 and will complete her European and UK leg back in Wembley Stadium from August 15-20 before bringing Eras back to North America for a second, shorter leg throughout November and December. In short, there are still plenty of opportunities for Kelce to join Swift again.

Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce rarely fumbles the football, and he definitely did not want to fumble his girlfriend on the world’s biggest stage. Taylor Swift welcomed Kelce, her boyfriend of nearly one year, to the The Eras Tour stage for the first time during her third London show on June 23, and the three-time Super Bowl champion shared the singular and hilarious goal he had during his viral appearance teeing up “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.”

“The one thing I told myself is, ‘Do not drop the baby,’” Kelce said during the Season 2 finale of New Heights on Wednesday, July 3. “‘Do not drop Taylor on your way over this damn couch.’ The golden rule was do not drop Taylor. Get her to the couch safely. Coach [Eric] Bieniemy used to always say, ‘That ball has dreams, goals, and aspirations; you do not drop that ball.’”
A few minutes prior, Kelce explained that it was his idea to join Swift for some sort of cameo, but he initially suggested, ‘How funny would it be if I just rolled out on one of the bikes during the 1989 album — that era?” Swift “started laughing” and asked if Kelce was serious, and of course, the NFL’s biggest showman was very serious.
“Sure enough, she found the perfect part of the show for me to come in,” Kelce said. “There was no, like, bike in case I ran into somebody else or, like, hit one of the dancers or anything. It was, like, the safest option.”
After Kelce’s cameo, Swift took to Instagram to gush about performing at London’s Wembley Stadium for three days and admitted, “I’m still cracking up/swooning over @killatrav’s Eras Tour debut.”
