Let’s face it: Offense is usually more fun in sports video games. While tormenting opponents on defense is, of course, a blast, getting to run up the score is one of the most fun things you can do, and in EA Sports College Football 25, there are a ton of really good options if you’d like to do just that.
We already know which teams make up the 25-best offenses in the game, as EA Sports already released that info. But if you want to know which teams are a level above that and got a 90 overall rating or higher on that side of the ball, we have you covered.
Georgia Bulldogs: 94 overall
Georgia’s talent on the offensive side of the ball is absolutely ridiculous. Their worst starter is their center, who is rated an 82 overall. They have more offensive starters with a 90+ rating (four) than they do offensive starters with a rating of 85 or worse (three, and that’s only if you consider their second and third wide receivers on the depth chart starters). Just save yourself and your friends some time and make a no one is allowed to use Georgia rule.
Oregon Ducks: 94 overall
That Georgia rule? It applies to Oregon, too, as the Ducks are a force to be reckoned with on offense. You will be able to throw the ball all over the place with one of the best QBs in the game (Dillon Gabriel, a 92 overall player) and a killer 1-2 punch at receiver in Tez Johnson (91 overall) and Evan Stewart (90 overall). With a good offensive line and a good running game, the Ducks are going to put up a ton of points.
Alabama Crimson Tide: 91 overall
A very good offensive line (the IOL, in particular, is awesome) mixed with a dangerous QB in Jalen Milroe (90 overall) is going to carry the Crimson Tide a long way. The running game should be awesome, as Milroe can really move the ball with his legs and both of their top running backs, Justice Haynes and Jam Miller, are 86 overall.
Texas Longhorns: 91 overall
Six players off of the Longhorn offense were taken in the first five rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft, and yet Texas should be elite on that side of the ball once again. It all starts with Quinn Ewers (92 overall) under center and an elite left tackle in Kelvin Banks Jr. (94 overall). Enjoy throwing bombs to WR Isaiah Bond (88 overall) and his 98 speed, or running the ball with the 1-2 punch of CJ Baxter (87 overall) and Jaydon Blue (85 overall).
Just missed (89 OVR): Ohio State Buckeyes, LSU Tigers, Miami Hurricanes, Colorado Buffaloes, Missouri Tigers
Fuerza Regida have become one of Mexico’s most beloved musical export thanks to their unique cross genre blending. The “Sabor Fresa” musicians have stolen the hearts of festivalgoers by crushing sets at Ceremonia Festival (and likely Baja Beach Fest 2024 in August).
The admiration for Fuerza Regida’s carefully curated sound is going no where as they’ve announced their next album, Pero No Te Enamores (But Don’t Fall In Love). With the help of murals featuring the project’s artwork plastered around the world (Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, San Bernardino, and Mexico City), fans are ready to dive into the new work.
Although Fuerza Regida hasn’t dropped any singles or visuals for the forthcoming body of work due out on July 25, the band did tease its overall vibe.
“Remember, find yourself a girlfriend that understands you’re single,” joked the group.
In a statement, Fuerza Regida frontman, Jesus Ortiz Paz (JOP) confirmed that the album is set in the hybrid of traditional Mexican music they’ve become known for. But, supporters should be opening to experiencing a new sound they’ve been developing. Continue below to view the project’s official cover, remaining tour dates, and more.

Fuerza Regida’s Pero No Te Enamores Tour Poster
Pero No Te Enamores is out 7/25 via Rancho Humilde/Street Mob Records. Find more information here.
Denzel Curry’s new album King Of The Mischievous South Vol. 2 is out in just a few more days, and he’s keeping the hype train running with the punishing new single “Hoodlumz,” featuring PlayThatBoiZay and ASAP Rocky. UK producer Kwes Darko provides a suitably menacing and the three MCs reciprocate with some Killer Instinct Ultra combo flows, throwing punchy rhymes almost as fast as the listener can catch them.
Rocky’s appearance is notable, given the history between him and his host’s respective rap crews back in the early blog era from which both emerged. Rocky, a member of the New York-based ASAP Mob, and Denzel, who claimed the more diffuse but ostensibly Florida-oriented Raider Klan, would have been, if not outright enemies, then at least less than cordial back then.
Both groups were heavily influenced by both the Memphis trap sound and the Houston chopped-and-screwed sound, but neither wanted to share digital space with the other. Consider it a 2010s version of the “South Bronx” battle between MC Shan and Juice Crew vs. KRS-One and Boogie Down Productions over hip-hop’s original birthplace. Apparently, whatever issue Zel and Rocky had before has since been cleared up — although it should be noted, neither is really all that tight with their old crews anymore either.
“Hoodlumz” is the third single from King Of The Mischievous South Vol. 2, following “Hot One” with TiaCorine and the former ASAP Ferg and “Black Flag Freestyle” with That Mexican OT.

EA Sports jumped back into the world of college football games this week when it released EA Sports College Football 25 for fans who pre-ordered the game. If you didn’t pre-order, don’t worry, you’ll be getting the game in a few days, as the full release will come on July 19.
There were plenty of details about the game that came out a little early, like the best overall teams, the best offenses, the best defenses, and the best players. Now that the game is out, we wanted to help make your lives a little easier by highlighting which teams are the best of the best in the game and got hit with a 90+ overall rating. Only eight teams received this honor, and you can read more about them below.
Georgia Bulldogs: 95 overall
Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs are as rock solid as they come, as the team is a 94 on both sides of the football. Their offense is the best in the game, while their defense is second only to Ohio State. The roster is unsurprisingly loaded, with six players in the top-100 of the individual player ratings in the game — FS Malaki Starks and RG Tate Ratledge are the two-best players on the team with 95 overall ratings, while Heisman Trophy contender Carson Beck is a star under center with a 93 rating.
Oregon Ducks: 93 overall
The Ducks are going to put up points in real life, and they’re going to put up points in the game. Led by star quarterback Dillon Gabriel — he transferred in from Oklahoma this offseason — Oregon has the second-best offense in the nation with a 94 offensive rating, which is tied with Georgia. Their 90 defensive rating is nothing to sniff at, either.
Ohio State Buckeyes: 93 overall
The Buckeyes are loaded. While they’ve been known for their offense during Ryan Day’s tenure in Columbus, that unit is an 89 overall, which is tied for fifth-best in the game. The defense, meanwhile, has a 96 rating, is the best unit in the country, and is led by star Alabama transfer Caleb Downs — the sophomore safety is a 95 overall and is the fifth-best player in the game. No roster has more players on EA Sports’ top-100 rating than the Buckeyes, which have eight.
Texas Longhorns: 92 overall
While they only have two players in the top-100 player rating — LT Kelvin Banks Jr. is a 94 and QB Quinn Ewers is a 92 — Texas is quite good on both sides of the ball. The Longhorns have the fourth-best offense (91 rating) and the eighth-best defense (88 rating) as they make the jump to the SEC.
Alabama Crimson Tide: 92 overall
No Nick Saban? No problem for the Crimson Tide, which are once again expected to be a juggernaut in real life and in the game. Their six players in the top-100 are tied with Georgia for the second-most in the game — he’s not the best player on the team, but I have a hunch you’re going to have a blast with 90 rated QB Jalen Milroe. Kalen DeBoer’s got a 91 rated offense and a 90 rated defense at his disposal. You’re not going to have fun playing against Bama in this game.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish: 90 overall
Things might get a little rough offensively if you’re using Notre Dame, which has an 85 offensive rating as the game launches. Defensively? That’s a different story, as the Fighting Irish are nasty on that side of the ball thanks to the sixth-best defense in the game, a 90 rated group led by a pair of stars in the secondary in CB Benjamin Morrison (94 overall) and FS Xavier Watts (92 overall).
LSU Tigers: 90 overall
The inverse of Notre Dame, as LSU’s defense is only an 84 overall, although Harold Perkins is a demon in the game, just like he is in real life. Offensively, they rock, even though Jayden Daniels, Malik Nabers, and Brian Thomas Jr. are all gone. The Tigers have the sixth-best offense in the game, as it is rated 89 overall thanks to the best pair of tackles in the country in LT Will Campbell (96 overall, the second-best player in America) and RT Emery Jones Jr. (90 overall).
Clemson Tigers: 90 overall
We have not seen Clemson finish in the top-10 nationally since 2020, but EA Sports is bullish on their chances of changing that this year. Dabo Swinney enters this year with the game’s No. 10 offense (87 offensive rating) and No. 5 defense (90 defensive rating), with a pair of standouts on his defensive line in ROLB Barrett Carter and DT Peter Woods.
Just missed (88 OVR): Utah Utes, Texas A&M Aggies, Penn State Nittany Lions, Ole Miss Rebels, Michigan Wolverines, Miami Hurricanes, Florida State Seminoles
It can be intimidating to be approached by a salesperson when making a big purchase, such as a car or an appliance. They can swoop in like sharks, seeing blood in the water and some refuse to leave you alone, even if you say, “I’m just looking.”
TikTok’s @RussFlipsWhips is a car salesman who went viral with a video explaining why “I’m just looking” doesn’t work on a car lot and providing more effective phrases you can use instead.
“There’s two main reasons, and here’s what you should say instead of ‘I’m just looking,'” he said in a video with over 345,000 views. “One is, we hear it every single day. So when somebody tells me, ‘I’m just looking,’ I’m so used to hearing that, I almost like brush it off and ignore it because I’m like, ‘That’s what the customer’s supposed to say.’ “Secondly, every car salesman has had a customer say, ‘I’m just looking,’ and we ended up selling them a car.”
Instead, Russell suggests you say: “Hey, I’d really like to look alone. Can I please have your business card?” or “I’m really not in the market for a car.”
Replying to @SoyPablo This is what I would say #carsales #carsalesman #cardealership #carbuyingtips
The post received funny responses from folks who may not qualify for a loan. “The ‘I have 2 repos and no money down’ line works wonders,’” one TikToker joked. “I just tell them my credit score and they run,” another added.
In the end, Russell’s suggestions show that sometimes, the best way to get our point across is to be direct and honest. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to shop alone and if the salesperson can respect that request, they deserve the sale if you decide to buy something.
Sampha and Little Simz collaborate for the first time on “Satellite Business 2.0,” an expansion of the interlude from Sampha’s 2023 album LAHAI. After hearing the song live during Sampha’s residency show at Brooklyn’s Pioneer Works, Simz joined him for an early revision of the track in London this year. A dynamic, constantly evolving song, “Satellite Business 2.0” now features a boastful Little Simz verse about her resiliency and ambition.
In the press release for “Satellite Business 2.0″,” Sampha explained how it was one of the last songs recorded for LAHAI. “I’d always imagined a guest verse to expand on it,” he said. “Simz’s music has been close to my heart and ears for some time now, which makes her being on this song that more special. She’s one of my favorite artists. Her confidence and creative bravery are so refreshing, it’s amazing to see someone giving so much to their art.”
Simz echoed this sentiment in her own statement, saying, “I’m so honored to be a part of this record with Sampha. He truly is one of the most important voices in music today. We have great musical chemistry and respect of each other’s process. Glad I got to stand alongside him on this.”

For years now, Uproxx has been advocating for concert tourism. A live show, be it a one-off concert from your favorite band or a festival that introduces you to a country’s musical perspective, is a wonderful peg for leaving your comfort zone and seeing the world. While this decade has had a couple unfortunate years that prevented such activities, you don’t have to go farther than Instagram to see that this is becoming a major thing, thanks in large part to Taylor Swift’s jaunts across Asia and now Europe for The Eras Tour. It seems that people I know from all walks of life are pegging travels to see her in far-off locations, and having the time of their lives in the process.
Over the past weekend, music fans had the opportunity for this kind of experience just outside of Lisbon, Portugal, as the gorgeous waterfront locale hosted their annual NOS Alive festival. Since debuting in 2007, the festival has hosted some of the biggest artists on the planet, ranging from Coldplay to The Weeknd to Metallica. This year, the festival, which takes place on the Algés riverside, featured headliners Dua Lipa, Arcade Fire, and Pearl Jam. Pearl Jam actually headlined the very first edition of the festivals, as did one of the weekend’s sub-headliners, The Smashing Pumpkins. Below the top line was a rich mix of both regional and international artists, including the country’s most popular local artist in terms of Spotify streams, T-Rex, Arlo Parks, past Uproxx cover artists Ashnikko and Khruangbin, Black Pumas, Kenya Grace, and many more. It was an eclectic mix that underscored the festival’s evolution to embrace a wide variety of genres, while still remaining rooted in its rock roots.
Beside the music, one of the coolest things was a particular aspect of the festival where you could roam down temporary buildings made to look like Lisbon’s iconic colorful and tiled architecture. The buildings hosted branded activations, food vendors, and at the end of the “Fado Street,” a café that featured sets of the traditional Portuguese music style of the same name. It was a way to incorporate hyper-local flavor into a global event, and one that would be amazing to see more festivals attempt. It was little details like this set NOS Alive apart from its peers.
In terms of the headliners, Pearl Jam’s closing set on Saturday felt like the most anticipated from the audience. Throughout the weekend and particularly on their performance night, Pearl Jam t-shirts could be seen everywhere on site, while the festival felt like it reached its greatest capacity for their set. For his part, bandleader Eddie Vedder did his best to honor the moment, reading off some (truly terrible) Portuguese to communicate with his fans, noting that longtime keyboardist Boom Gaspar’s family originated from the country, and underscoring that it was the final show from their European support of their recent Dark Matter album, a tour that had a truly scary moment as an illness spread through their camp and forced them to cancel several dates.
It has to be noted that during their set, news of the attempted assassination of American presidential candidate Donald Trump spread throughout the crowd. It doesn’t appear that Vedder’s encore solo performance of John Lennon’s “Imagine,” which was prefaced by a message about the hope for healing and unity with upcoming American elections, was a reaction to this, but it still felt strangely coincidental for the moment, and all the more impactful.
Elsewhere, the band delivered a load of fan favorites (“Yellow Ledbetter,” “Jeremy,” “Porch,” “Daughter,” and “Do The Evolution” were standouts) while giving a healthy dose of recent material. They don’t quite play as long as they used to and I personally think they could have folded in a little less of Ten and a little more of their other beloved work, but Pearl Jam are still one of the great bands of our time, and the crowd ate up every second.
For her part, Dua Lipa also drew a massive audience, virtually as large as Pearl Jam’s. Supporting her recent Radical Optimism album, the Albanian pop force proved ideal for the festival environment. She has just enough massive hits that it never felt too long before hearing a song that was deeply known, while her dance moves and stage presence were charming and evocative, showing no real weakness in her stadium-sized presentation.
The most interesting thing to note is how she didn’t lean heavily on the new material, opting only to perform a handful of tracks from the new album. It is unclear if this is a reaction to the tepid reception for the album or the reality of playing in a festival setting where people want to hear the hits, but it was absolutely the right choice, though the best recent songs (“Houdini,” “Training Season”) sounded perfectly in place with her modern classics (“Levitating,” “Physical,” and “New Rules”). When she eventually makes her way to America for arena and festival headlining performances, fans are going to be blown away.
Speaking of knowing how to craft a setlist, Arcade Fire’s headlining set on Thursday was about as ideal as could be imagined. Only one song each were performed from their most recent albums, “Rabbit Hole” and “Everything Now” respectively, while they opened their performance with four straight songs from their 2004 classic debut Funeral (“Tunnels,” “Laika,” “Power Out,” and “Rebellion (Lies)”). There are still few better live bands in the world, and for moments, the adrenaline rush of hearing these songs, along with some of their transcendent numbers like “Afterlife” and “Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains),” was enough to push the controversies surrounding the band to the back of the mind.
This was only temporary relief, though, as I spent the next several days considering what it feels like to be a fan of the band in 2024. It’s a lot to unpack, and it’s enough that, for me at least, I’ll never be able to enjoy the band without an asterisk, knowing that leader Win Butler is at best an admitted creep and at worst an alleged sexual abuser. It’s a situation made more complicated by the way the band portrayed themselves throughout their career with moral platitudes and self-aggrandizing gestures, and warrants conversations about cancelation, the history of bad people in rock, power dynamics, and the gray area that Arcade Fire seems to inhabit now. Put in the shortest of possible ways: it stinks to have to think about all this stuff when you want to enjoy a rock concert, and I’m still mad at the band about it. But, that’s much less important compared to the alleged damage to women of which Butler is accused. I can say that the band performed well, that for moments I felt the same emotions that I felt 20 years ago with the band, and that the crowd, though easily the smallest of the headliners, seemed to enjoy it as well.
Elsewhere, it was fun to see some of Uproxx’s cover stars win over international audiences, as Khruangbin and Ashnikko both provided lively sets. Arlo Parks was a last second replacement for Tyla and proved more than ready for main stage attention, particularly with standout closers “Devotion” and “Softly.” And Alec Benjamin proved to be a charming discovery with a lively pop set that was personable and proficient.
On the more negative end, The Smashing Pumpkins seem to be in a bit of a wilderness period. From their ensembles — now the members all seem to dress like they are in different, deeply unstylish bands, and not in the fun way that Big Thief does — to their stage presence to their song choices, I just long for the band to remember that there was a time when they were very cool. It’s not too late for them to return to it, but instead they keep adding members who change the band’s aesthetic and drift farther from what made them great in the first place. I’m glad I got to see them when James Iha first returned in 2018, but I worry that they’ll never get back to that second peak.
But even at that moment, I could look around and be reminded of the beautiful festival I was at, in a beautiful city, in a beautiful country. And that’s a big part of the joy of concert tourism, that the experience of going somewhere greatly affects the experience of the concert, and vice versa. For the many local fans at NOS Alive, this was a great chance to see many international acts that likely don’t visit Lisbon as often as they do their home countries, and that energy could be felt in the audience. And for NOS Alive in particular, it proved to have a few special tricks up its sleeve, including ace production, great sight-lines, and, honestly, one of the best festival bathrooms situations I’ve ever witnessed. It also didn’t cater to VIP audiences the way so many other festivals do (it was reported that the President of Portugal could be seen in the Pearl Jam pit with the regular audience members). Everything was very democratic and led to a camaraderie in the crowd, something other festivals could take note of as more lean into tiers that end up providing more vibe-sucking division. When you let the most eager fans have the prime locations, the performances become all the better.
In a crowded festival landscape, NOS Alive is a jewel in the crown of global events. Its reputation as a special place to see special musical moments is earned.
Uproxx was hosted for this event by NOS Alive. However, NOS Alive did not review or approve this story. You can learn more about the Uproxx Press Trip policy here. Check out a exclusive images from the event below.
Love Island is the hit dating competition in which a group of young Islanders take over a tropical villa and try to prove to the world that they are worthy of both love and $100k. There are many iterations of the series, including Love Island Australia, Love Island Australia, Love Island Spain, and L’île de l’amour aka Love Island Canada, just to name a few. So spin offs are pretty common here.
But this season of Love Island USA is steadily becoming a phenomenon, so fans have been hoping for some more content when season six wraps up next week. Spin offs like Love Island Games and Love Island All-Stars have been known to bring back fan-favorite players.
“I’m really proud of Love Island Games because it gives you an opportunity to see your favorites that you really love come back together and button up stories that have evolved after the show,” Love Island executive producer Simon Thomas told Rolling Stone. “That show serves as our secondary show.” So what about a USA-centric spinoff? It’s not impossible, but Thomas is hesitant.
Thomas says that just because the latest season has been a hit, it doesn’t mean that Peacock should jump right into a new iteration. “We’ll play it as it comes. We shouldn’t just do more Love Island because the show is successful,” Thomas said. “What does the story warrant and motivate? And let’s go do that. Let’s satisfy our hunger as opposed to force-feeding someone. We keep a pretty close eye on that. Also, I’m the seller. It’s up to Peacock.” Considering the show has been huge for the streamer, this seems possible.
When asked about the popularity of season six, Thomas says that utilizing TikTok and socialmedia has been adding to the conversation. “Shows get lost in the streaming universe, so having our social media strategy and team is our lifeline, and we prioritize that,” he explained. By luring in potential viewers with drama, they can stay hooked with or without watching the series. “Those clips are spoiler-y, but only in the sense that we are trying not to gatekeep a shot. We are behind a paywall and if you want to watch Love Island USA and see every minute, you do have to subscribe to a streamer. But we will put whole chunks of that show on TikTok because people will see it and they’ll be like, ‘Oh, what is this?’” he added. Once again, TikTok stays winning.
Even if a spinoff doesn’t happen right away, past Love Island cast members have stayed in the spotlight by competing on other reality shows and series, so this will not be the last we see of season six. Though for some of them, it should be (looking at you, Aaron).
If, like me, you have been completely incapable of escaping Tinashe’s admittedly catchy single “Nasty” for the past few weeks, you’d best batten down your hatches, because its shelf life is about to get extended greatly. Chlöe, another pop-R&B star who has defied categorization for most of her career and developed a bit of a reputation for showing off an unexpectedly seductive side, teased a remix of the song in a new video posted to social media.
In signature fashion, Chlöe paired the tantalizing teaser with an equally eye-catching visual, giving fans an early glimpse of the second of this year’s Carnival costumes. You may recall that last year’s costume caused quite the fuss online as she attended her first mas in St. Lucia. This year, she donned two separate costumes; one featuring an absolute riot of rainbow colors, the other, an aqua-and-gold mesh bodysuit. Check out pics of both below.
Even Tinashe couldn’t help boasting a bit about “Nasty”‘s success, telling a reporter during a street interview that her old label, RCA, is “gagging” as a result of dropping the ball while promoting her career. She’s since gone independent and with her upcoming album Quantum Baby on the way, it doesn’t seem they’ll be getting over it any time soon.
The Milwaukee Bucks haven’t been able to take any major swings this offseason after acquiring Damian Lillard in the run-up to the 2023-24 campaign. While they’ve done what they can on the margins — they added both Taurean Prince and Delon Wright on minimum deals — the team is in a tough spot as it looks to bounce back from a disappointing year by building around Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
On Tuesday afternoon, Milwaukee was able to make a savvy addition on the free agent market, as Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN brought word that former Toronto Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. is on his way to the Bucks.
Free agent G Gary Trent Jr. has agreed on a one-year deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, Rich Paul and Lucas Newton of @klutchsports tell ESPN. Trent reunites with Damian Lillard and joins a Bucks organization that recruited him hard to chase a title with them. pic.twitter.com/jXmQuCcRMx
While the financial parameters of the deals have not been reported as of this writing, Trent is a sensible addition to the roster on a one-year deal, as he should bring high-level shooting on the offensive end of the floor. Additionally, he’s very good at forcing turnovers, and will presumably get the green light to jump passing lanes with Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez behind him.
As a member of the Raptors last season, Trent averaged 13.7 points and 1.1 steals per game while connecting on 39.3 percent of his field goal attempts from behind the three-point line.
