Soccer Mommy has remained consistent with her album release pace, dropping a new one every two years since her 2018 debut Clean. Her most recent LP is 2022’s Sometimes, Forever, meaning she’s due. Right on cue, here she is: Today (August 1), Soccer Mommy announced the album Evergreen, which is set for release on October 25.
She also shared a video for the new single “M,” which shows off the album’s musical direction, which a press release describes as “a sonic return to Soccer Mommy’s roots, but recast on a cinematic scale with the help of acoustic guitars, lush strings and flutes. Nothing overindulgent, everything real.” It also notes the album “animates [Sophie] Allison’s experience with loss through soundscapes that can conjure a sad-eyed daydream or an ecstatic weekend escape.”

As Gunther traveled Austria perfecting his craft in professional wrestling, the only thing he dreamed of was making a living. The definition of a “professional wrestler” in stature, the only thing he was focused on was being the best wrestler he could be.
“I guess that approach took me to all those places I’ve been so far. And that might be one of the reasons I’m in the situation I am right now. Everything that happens right now in my career is just a cherry on top,” Gunther tells Uproxx Sports.
“But now since I’m here, I’m here for everything. I want to make the most out of everything I am presented.”
The next step in his journey falls on Saturday night at the Cleveland Browns Stadium at SummerSlam, when he takes part in a marquee title match against Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship.
An opportunity to reach the top of the mountain doesn’t happen for everyone. But more importantly, Gunther is proud of the way he’s done it. Across his stints across different promotions, he’s made it through the various stages of his career embodying who he wanted to be in the ring.
“And now I’m sitting here going into SummerSlam for a big title match. In my opinion, I’m still the same guy I was on the Indies when it comes to my style and approach for matches,” Gunther continues. “In WWE or over the course of your career, you learn and you get better. But I think at the core, I’m exactly the person I always wanted to be.”
Gunther’s steady rise in WWE is no surprise to fans who have followed his career. Boasting a 6’4” frame, a physical presence in the ring, and chest slaps that bring a viral element to his matches, Gunther’s catalog of great matches is vast. Buzz has followed him throughout his journey, but he feels his match against Sheamus at Clash at the Castle was a turning point in his WWE career.
“It was the first time I had the chance to really show my full potential. And I think that was a very important milestone for me in WWE,” Gunther says.
Gunther prides himself on his ability to mesh with just about anyone in the ring. He can tear the house down with guys his size, like his WrestleMania triple threat match against Sheamus and Drew McIntyre. He can also flex his style to put on memorable performances against the likes of Pete Dunne, Ilja Dragunov, Chad Gable, and Sami Zayn.
“My approach is like, a different opponent has a different style, and so I need to approach the matches differently to make them special on their own. So I don’t really have a preference (between hard hitting big guys and light heavyweights),” Gunther continues.
Since joining the main roster, Gunther’s impact was felt almost immediately. He won the Intercontinental Championship just two months into his arrival, and held the belt for an unprecedented 666 days, a record for holding the title.
With immense success holding that championship, Gunther was ready to move on. He felt like he’d proved himself at that level and was ready to make the leap into the main event scene.
“Everything good takes a bit,” Gunther says.
Following his WrestleMania 40 loss to Zayn, Gunther’s incremental rise on the roster has been clear. He won King of the Ring at King and Queen of the Ring to earn a world title shot. Initially winning the tournament, Gunther made waves by not placing the crown on top of his head. His thoughts on that are twofold.
“First of all, it didn’t fit me. It was a little bit too big. Secondly, I treat it as a trophy, a prize that I won. So that’s how I carried it. I didn’t win that to make it my personality,” Gunther says.
Saturday offers Gunther his first real shot at heavyweight gold. It would be the biggest success of his career to date. The opportunity is once in a lifetime in its own right, but with Bash in Berlin at the end of August, an opportunity to return to Germany as champion would line up perfectly for the rising star.
“I wrestled all over Germany for many years of my career, and maybe the most defining years in my career. It would be a very big full circle moment, but that’s step two. That’s at the end of August,” Gunther says.
“At the end of this week, I’m wrestling Damian Priest at SummerSlam and that’s what my focus is right now.”
Yesterday (July 31), Foxing held a livestreamed press conference. The whole thing was partially a bit, as is made clear when the video comedically cuts to a shot of the reporters that were invited to the event, but it’s just a room of empty chairs reserved for various publications. (On behalf of Uproxx, I apologize for the no-show and for leaving our reserved seat empty, but we appreciate the invitation nonetheless. In our defense, Animal Planet didn’t show up either.)
There was something real here, though, as the press conference did actually serve to announce a new album from Foxing, titled Foxing. A video for the new 8-minute song “Greyhound” was also filmed at the event, and the band has shared that visual today.
A press release notes of the album, “There is a tension at the core of Foxing, an album that balances hopefulness and nihilism, the pastoral with the tumultuous. Whether oscillating between visceral noise rock and intimate bedroom cassette experiments on opener ‘Secret History’ or cruising at the edge of collapse on ‘Barking,’ the dramatic dynamics that have long permeated Foxing’s music have never felt so extreme.” It also describes the project as “a document of a band finding comfort in their own chaos.”

According to Page Six, Cardi B filed for divorce from her husband of seven years on Wednesday. “They’ve grown apart,” an insider claimed. “That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else. This is something she wants to do.”
The source added that the alleged dissolution of the relationship isn’t a surprise, as “they both have been trying to figure out what their future looks like for a while now. It’s not something that happened overnight… They’ve both been on the same page. There wasn’t [pushback]. They’ve grown apart and that feeling has gotten stronger overtime. It’s become unavoidable.”
Cardi B is hoping to obtain “primary custody” of her and Offset’s two children.
Earlier this week, the “Bongos” rapper shut down rumors that she could no longer afford the martial mansion she shares with her (ex-?)husband. “LMAOOO,” she wrote. “You bum b*tches wish… Me and Offset bought that house in 2019 for 5 million now it’s worth 7. Check the Atlanta market. And no, we not selling it… and if I ever sold it I would just sell my part to Offset since he loves Atlanta. Throwing salt on my home? Hating bad.”
In late June, the New York-bred collective Michelle announced Songs About You Specifically simultaneous with the release of “Oontz,” a groovy track. “Mentos And Coke,” out now, slows down the tempo but ups the emotional intensity.
“‘Mentos and Coke’ is for the person you can’t help but lose yourself to,” Michelle — comprised of Sofia D’Angelo, Julian Kaufman, Charlie Kilgore, Layla Ku, Emma Lee, and Jamee Lockard — said in a statement. “The one you just can’t stand, and can’t stand to live without.”
In the song, Michelle make perfect use of Mentos and Coke as metaphorical material for an on-and-off relationship (or situationship, more likely) that may be drawing to a close as autumn approaches.

If you’re into vacations that combine urban exploration with outdoor adventure (and who isn’t?), you’d be hard-pressed to find a better city to spend a weekend than Denver, Colorado. The Mile High City—nicknamed for its elevation exactly one mile above sea level—is the perfect place for visitors to experience not just vibrant cultural scenes but, within minutes, they find themselves in the Rocky Mountains hiking, biking, or working out with a view.
With 300 days of sunshine annually, even when the temperatures drop, outdoor recreation really… just doesn’t. As a resident of the Denver area, I know firsthand how easy it is to access the great outdoors for the day.
But you don’t have to go far into the Rockies for a scenic workout—head 15 miles or so from downtown Denver to the iconic Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater. Each morning, the world-renowned music venue turns into the coolest workout venue.
From organized workout classes to hiking trails and the 543 stairs to climb, there is no shortage of opportunities to get your heart pumping at sunrise with fresh mountain air.
Here is how:
HOW TO GET TO RED ROCKS FROM DENVER:

There are several easy ways to get from downtown Denver to Red Rocks. You can drive, take public transportation, use a shuttle service, ride share, or even bike, but driving is undoubtedly the most popular and quickest way to get to Red Rocks, especially if you are coming from outside the downtown Denver metro area. The drive only takes around 20 minutes and has plenty of scenic views along the way.
SUNRISE WORKOUT OPTIONS:
One of the first things I did when I moved to Denver nearly a decade ago was head to Red Rocks for a sunrise yoga class. I arrived in the parking lot as the first light painted the sky; the cool morning air immediately invigorated me as the iconic red rock formations produced an almost magical glow as the sun came up over the city.
The scene could only be described as spiritual and very Colorado. I’d soon find that the quick drive to Red Rocks on weekend mornings was not just an easy way to get in a workout but a rite of passage for locals and visitors alike. But if yoga isn’t your thing, you have options — whether you’re interested in organized classes or sweating out alone.
ORGANIZED WORKOUTS:

Yoga On The Rocks
The most popular organized sunrise workout is, by far, the aforementioned Yoga On The Rocks. The always-packed summer event series offers a unique opportunity to combine your yoga practice with a truly stunning bucket list view.
The exact dates for 2024 sessions haven’t been released yet, but the series typically runs on Saturday mornings from June to August, excluding the 4th of July weekend. Classes historically begin at 7:00 am, but I’d recommend getting there earlier – for better parking, a better spot for your mat, and to see the sunrise.
In 2023, there were ten sessions total, each costing $18 per class, $85 for five classes, or $160 for a season pass.
SnowShape Winter Fitness
SnowShape Winter Fitness is a pre-season conditioning program designed for skiers, snowboarders, and winter sports enthusiasts. The four-week series—held between mid-September and early October—focuses on different aspects of peak winter performance training to help winter athletes prepare for the upcoming season.
Specifics for 2024 haven’t been released yet, but in the past, each session started at 8 a.m. and was $17 per session or $64 for all four sessions.

Hit The Stairs

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre offers a unique outdoor gym environment, and people get creative with their workouts here. One of the most popular ways to sweat is by hitting the stairs. Built into a mountainside, there are 543 stairs to climb, offering a very challenging workout, especially at the high elevation — Red Rocks is over 1,000 feet higher than Denver at 6,450 ft above sea level. Visit any day of the week from morning until afternoon to catch hundreds of people running, walking, or lunging their way up for a cardio boost with a breathtaking view.
Hike Or Trail Run:

The park has several hiking and running trails that wind through the red rock formations, offering a more varied workout experience with some incline challenges.
Red Rocks Trading Post Trail
Distance: 1.6 miles Difficulty: Moderate
The Red Rocks Trading Post Trail is a short and scenic loop trail that offers a great introduction to the beauty of Red Rocks and a chance to acclimate to the elevation. The trailhead starts near the Red Rocks Trading Post, and from there, the trail winds through meadows and around iconic red rocks that you’ll want to stop at for some pics (or to rehydrate).
Mount Vernon Creek Trail Loop
Distance: 2.3 miles Difficulty: Easy
The Mount Vernon Creek Trail Loop at Red Rocks is longer than the Red Rocks Trading Post Trail but decidedly more chill, with relatively flat terrain and minimal elevation gain. The trail is near Entrance 2 of the park and a convenient small parking area. Compared to other spots at Red Rocks, the Loop offers a more secluded and peaceful experience, without the dramatic red rock views, but perfect for a cool down or elevation acclimation.

There’s a reason Red Rocks is legendary, and while the sunrise hikes are part of it, you don’t want to travel here without catching a show in this iconic venue.
On an episode of Andrew Schulz’s Flagrant podcast, Yachty explained, “I sent a song to Kai to leak. We couldn’t get the sample cleared, so I just let Kai play it.” Schulz then asked if the song is coming out officially and Yachty responded, “No. But it’s everywhere.

Schulz then wondered about the sample-clearing process and Yachty explained about this specific case, “This wasn’t an artist, this was an Instagram, social media influencer. […] He went down, like, a Christian path.” Yachty noted that the negotiations didn’t even get to the point where money was discussed, as the person was just straight-up not interested in clearing the sample for the track at all.
Yachty was apparently implying the influencer wasn’t pleased with the song’s lyrical content: Per Genius, the song features lines like, “She was a hoe, but I ain’t gon’ judgе, ’cause that was way before,” and, “WhatsApp attachment, first time I seen you naked.” Genius credits the song’s sample to @mr_hotspot.
The bad news is that House of the Dragon will finish airing its second season in early August. The better news is that, as with July, several new and returning shows will attempt to fill that Westeros-shaped hole in your heart. Let’s go:
The Umbrella Academy: Season 4 (Netflix series streaming 8/8)
Do the Hargreaves siblings have it in them to stop a final apocalypse? That question would assume that they have a choice in the matter, and this time, a fix will be rough since the group lost their powers when Allison hit the reset button. As long as Klaus hasn’t lost his oddball behavior, this will be just fine, but watching the group be “ordinary” might be heartbreaking, so they shall need to figure out what the hell is going on set the world right. This season will include Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally, and David Cross along with the usual sibling mess led by Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, and Robert Sheehan.
Industry: Season 3 (HBO/BBC One series streaming 8/11)
The pressure cooker vibes of London’s cutthroat high-finance realm continue, now with added Kit Harington. The former Jon Snow definitely does not know nothing in his role as Sir Henry Muck, a green-tech CEO pushing for an IPO, which could end up being the focus of so-called “ethical investing” by Pierpoint. This series has been compared to both Succession and Euphoria, but that comparison doesn’t do justice to the enormous variety of “f*cked up messes” that these work hard/play harder characters accomplish. Still, the show does lean into comparisons because why not?
Bad Monkey: Season 1 (Apple TV+ series streaming 8/14)
The Ted Lasso departure of the tech giant’s streaming service will see an answer in producer Bill Lawrence’s adaptation of cult-favorite and bestseller novel of the same name. Vince Vaughn stars, in the type of fast-talking role that he does best, as Andrew Yancy, a former cop-turned-health-inspector who becomes involved in a mystery investigation that could right his career, or not. The series also stars Rob Delaney, Jodie Turner-Smith, L.Scott Caldwell, Michelle Monaghan, Alex Moffat, Natalie Martinez, Meredith Hagner, and more, along with Zach Braff as a guest star.
Emily in Paris: Season 4: Part 1 (Netflix series streaming 8/15)
Geez, Emily, get it together, and stop worrying about dudes at every moment. The good news is that she will begin this season by being single and happy, but then the drama will return, along with both Gabriel and Alfie, and nobody will ever face a single consequence on this show. Bel-Air: Season 3 (Peacock series streaming 8/15)
Jabari Banks returns as Will Smith for a summery season full of bonfires, pool parties, and Juneteenth extravaganzas. The soapy stories will arrive, as usual, through a strong cultural lens while zeroing in on South LA gentrification. Will shall also look to move beyond his comfort zone, and broken family trust will also be on the mend. Again, however, it’s summer, so expect some fizziness to prevail amid the more serious subjects.
